Last week, Asuka officially relinquished the NXT Women’s Championship as she gears up for the next big challenge in her WWE career. According to PWInsider, the “Empress of Tomorrow” will be joining the RAW brand when she makes her WWE television debut in the near future.
On RAW, Asuka will will have her work cut out for. The brand’s top female competitors include RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, and Emma.
Asuka is currently out of action with an injury to her right collarbone. While she won’t be wrestling for several more weeks, she will be going overseas to Japan with the SmackDown crew next week in a non-wrestling capacity. A special SmackDown live event is scheduled for Saturday, September 16th from Osaka, Japan at the Edion Arena.
It’s worth noting that the WWE Network will be releasing a special collection featuring Asuka’s best matches in the first week of October. While there’s no confirmed date for Asuka’s RAW debut, the WWE Network collection will likely be used to help introduce her to the mainstream WWE audience.
