There have been lots of speculations regarding the Mae Young Classic competitors since the culmination of the tournament. Here are the latest updates from F4WOnline.com regarding the status of some of the participants:
– Vanessa Borne, Zeda, Sarah Logan, Xia Li, Rhea Ripley, Abby Laith, Kavita Devi, Dakota Kai, Bianca Belair, Sage Beckett, Lacey Evans, Taynara Conti, Reina Gonzalez and winner of the tournament Kairi Sane have all been signed by the company.
– The runner up Shayna Baszler is not being advertised for any upcoming indie shows, though her signing is yet to be confirmed.
– Candice LeRae, Piper Niven and Mercedes Martinez have not signed yet, but they were brought in for the Finals of the tournament this past Tuesday night and the belief is that Officials are interested in them.
– Toni Storm also remains a free agent as of this writing, but it’s speculated that she’ll get an offer, especially because of her young age. It’s interesting to note here that she was reportedly penciled to be in the finals of the tournament but those plans were nixed due to the Horsewomen angle.
– Tessa Blanchard is the only mentionable name who wasn’t present at the finals of the tournament and she hasn’t been signed despite her name on the independent circuit.
It’s worth mentioning here that while other participants could still be signed in the near future, they have lesser chance of being offered a contract than the names mentioned above.
