Following weeks of anticipation, Brodus Clay made his Raw SuperShow debut Monday night against Curt Hawkins. Accompanied by two dancers, “The Funkasaurus” danced his way to the ring and squashed Hawkins.
The two dancers with Clay were WWE developmental wrestlers Cameron Lynn and Naomi. Naomi finished second in the third season of NXT while Lynn, whose real name is Ariane Andrew, was the first contestant cut on last year’s Tough Enough series. Both performers appear for Florida Championship Wrestling.
Clay’s entrance theme was the music used by former WWE & WCW star Ernest “The Cat” Miller.
The term “Brodus” immediately trended worldwide on Twitter following Clay’s debut.
