Finn Balor returned to the ring at Wednesday night’s NXT TVÂ tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. Balor, a former NXT Champion, hit the ring and had roughed up reigning NXT champ Bobby Roode.
Shinsuke Nakamura was still in the ring from a match involving Roode and joined Balor in the attack as the two babyfaces celebrated.
This was the first time we’ve seen Balor in a WWE/NXT ring since surrendering the Universal Championship back in August. He’s been recovering from major shoulder surgery ever since and looks to be in tremendous shape.
WWE noted that Balor is still not medically cleared to wrestle, but the physicality he showed here is a sign that he’ll be back in the ring soon.
