WrestleMania is returning to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday, April 7th, 2019. This will be the fourth WrestleMania being held in New Jersey, following WrestleMania IV and V at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City (1988 and 1989) and WrestleMania 29 (2013) from MetLife.
Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports first broke the news on Twitter back in January. Several media outlets, including the New York Post and NJ.com, ran stories on Thursday night stating that an announcement from WWE was coming Friday morning. The company has since confirmed the reports.
In addition to Wrestlemania 35, that will weekend will also feature an NXT: Takeover event, the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and the post-Mania Raw and Smackdown broadcasts all taking place from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The location of the AXXESS fan fest has yet to be announced.
“There is so much to celebrate in WrestleMania returning to New York and New Jersey in 2019, where we look forward to building upon all the amazing successes from 2013,” John Saboor, WWE’s executive vice president of special events, told The New York Post.
