WWE WrestleMania 29 is just around the corner, and we’ve got an update on several matches planned for the big event.
WrestleMania 29 Rumored Matches:
– After returning to WWE at the Royal Rumble, Chris Jericho is still without an opponent for the show. Believe it or not, there’s actually been talk of Jericho wrestling Fandango.
- Hit up the comments below and tell us what you think about a potential Chris Jericho vs. Fandango match.
– Also rumored for the card is an 8-person mixed tag team match featuring Brodus Clay, Tensai & The Funkdactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins.
– As noted earlier this week, the current plan for the WWE tag titles is for Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan) to defend against the team of Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston. Ziggler has stated in multiple interviews that he will be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract “at or before” WrestleMania 29. Could this be the night we see Dolph Ziggler capture the World Heavyweight title?
– Regarding the Divas Title match (if there is one), it will likely be Kaitlyn vs. Layla, but they might end up doing another multi-person match to get more women on the show.
WrestleMania 29 Pre-Show & Axxess:
– WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth has been discussed as a match for the pre-show.
– Like we saw at the Royal Rumble, the WrestleMania Axxess event will feature matches involving NXT stars .
It’s worth noting that WrestleMania 29 from the Metlife Stadium is officially sold out, with a gate of approximately $11 million. There will be additional tickets made available as it gets closer to the event, once WWE finalizes the production setup.
