WWE has confirmed our earlier report about Daniel Bryan being pulled from the remainder of the ongoing European tour. Their brief statement reads:
“Daniel Bryan has been pulled from the remainder of the UK tour as a precautionary measure.”
We reported yesterday that Bryan has been dealing with injuries in recent weeks and WWE officials have been growing more and more concerned about his condition. He’s scheduled to undergo a medical evaluation when he gets back to the Untied States.
It remains to be seen what will happen to Bryan’s newly won Intercontinental championship. It’s possible that this is in fact just a ‘precautionary measure’ and he’ll just need a few weeks off to recover. Bryan is scheduled to defend the gold in less than two weeks at Extreme Rules against 5-time IC champion Bad News Barrett.
