After weeks of controversy surrounding the NXT break out tournament winner Jordan Myles, it appears that the story has finally found its closure with Myles’ official release from the company.
Myles had taken his Twitter earlier this week to announce that he is quitting the promotion. He had called WWE a racist company and described Jordan Myles as his slave name.
The star known as ACH in the independent circuit then started being advertised for a number of indie events including a Heavy Metal Wrestling event this Friday night.
When reached out, WWE released a short statement on the 31-year-old star’s advertised appearances, confirming that he is no longer under contract with the promotion:
“He is no longer under contract.”
ACH was signed by WWE back in February earlier this year and he made his in-ring debut for NXT in March. He took part in the NXT Breakout Tournament in July and went on to win the competition.
The controversy surrounding the former NJPW star began when WWE released a T-shirt around the concept that Myles is always smiling but the design for the shirt was met with criticism, with many noting that the pattern resembled blackface.
While the promotion took the shirt down after the accusations from the former NXT star, he kept calling the company out and he finally confirmed that he has quit WWE in a video earlier this month.
