WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show

The WWE Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show begins with the panel, which consists of Renee Young, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves and Booker T talking about tonight’s show.

From there, we are told that Rusev, who is scheduled for tonight’s Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber match, is no longer going to be competing. We aren’t told who his replacement will be, just that Rusev will not be part of the match.

We then go to a quick “social media lounge” segment, straight to a backstage segment with Kane and The New Day.

Stardust vs. Zack Ryder

After some more typical pre-show stuff, we shoot to the announce table where we are joined by Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL. It looks like it’s not time for a MizTV segment, instead, we’re getting an impromptu match.

Both Stardust and Zack Ryder make their way to the ring. We’re getting a bonus one-on-one match here on the Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show.

The bell sounds and here we go. Early on, it doesn’t take long before Stardust is in control of the action. Stardust dominates for a while until Ryder gets in his series of offensive moves.

Ryder hits the Broski Boot and sets Stardust up for more, although Stardust, out of nowhere, hits his new finisher, “The Queens Crossbow,” on Ryder for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Stardust

Social Media Lounge With Lana

After the match, we shoot to Tom Phillips in the social media lounge. He is joined by Lana, who WWE allowed fans to use social media to send her questions.

Phillips brings up Rusev’s injury and the fact that he’s out of his scheduled Chamber match tonight. She says she’s not talking to him, but she heard he’s injured. She doesn’t want to say anything further.

Lana is then asked about Dolph Ziggler. She says he’s cute and makes her laugh and he sends her snapshot pictures. She also talks about the fans now finally treating her well. She basically says she was mean in the past but she’ll now try to be understanding in the future.

MizTV With Daniel Bryan

After the social media lounge segment with Lana, we go to the ring where Summer Rae does a big overly-kiss-ass style introduction for her “The Marine 4” co-star, The Miz.

The Miz makes his way to the ring in a goofy-ass outfit, which the announcers make fun of. Miz brags on the mic and does a big speech about how he’s “finally back.” The announcers joke that most didn’t even know he was gone.

Miz then introduces a clip of Daniel Bryan giving up the Intercontinental Championship so the new person who holds the title can be a fighting champion. After the clip, Miz and Bryan take their seats for the MizTV segment.

After Miz asks his first question, he interrupts Bryan before he can answer it. He goes on and on about how he feels bad for Bryan, but he feels like the victim because he put so much time into Bryan to “make him a star” when he was his mentor during their NXT days years ago.

Bryan then guarantees fans his career inside the ring isn’t over. He talks about what he’s been doing while he’s been out of action, such as writing a book. Miz then goes on a giant heel-rant, mocking and putting down Bryan in every way he can think of.

Miz keeps babbling until finally Bryan heard enough. Bryan yells “Miz …shut up!” He says the reason he is here tonight is to present the winner of tonight’s I-C title Elimination Chamber match with the belt. He then guarantees all of his fans again that he isn’t done wrestling.

Bryan and Miz go at it again until finally Miz annoys Bryan enough again that he cuts him off and tells him that MizTV is boring. He says he knew it would be so he came prepared. He says knowing it would be, he brought “this.”

With that said, Bryan snaps his finger and then Macho Man Randy Savage’s music plays. Out comes Macho Mandow and Axelmania. They come out dressed up like Savage and Hogan and beat down Miz. Hulk Hogan’s music plays as Axelmania and Mandow play to the crowd. Bryan tries to leave while they celebrate, but they stop him and have him celebrate with them.

Backstage: Eden With Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns

Backstage, Eden introduces Dean Ambrose. Ambrose walks in and Eden asks him if he feels any extra pressure tonight. Ambrose says he doesn’t, because he has everything to gain and nothing to lose. He then says on the other hand, he feels a lot of pressure in his guts. He says it’s bubbling hatred he feels for The Authority. He says he can relieve that by punching Seth Rollins in the face and taking his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

As Ambrose continues to talk, in walks Roman Reigns. Reigns asks if he got the ice or the cold ones. Ambrose says he didn’t. Reigns laughs and says “good thing I already did.” Reigns tells Ambrose to take care of Rollins and he’ll take care of the rest.
