The premiere of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is here and it’s a loaded show.
With just hours until bell time, it’s time to look ahead starting with tonight’s episode of SmackDown.
Several segments and matches have been announced thus far for this show including Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Ric Flair, Booker T, Lita, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Bill Goldberg, Trish Stratus, Mark Henry, and Jerry Lawler are all advertised to appear. The biggest name to appear is The Rock.
WWE holds this show from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. WWE is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:
- Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston
- RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair vs. SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks
- Kevin Owens vs. Shane McMahon in a Ladder Match
- Erick Rowan vs. Roman Reigns
- The Rock to appear
WWE will also be announcing matches for existing feuds that will take place heading into the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event.
As usual, fans should expect more matches and segments to be revealed this afternoon for SmackDown.
