WWE Hall Of Famer and Wrestling Legend Harley Race has been hospitalized since this past Friday, according to the feed from his official Twitter account.
The Wrestling Legend was traveling to Knoxville, TN for a Fanboy Expo when he said to have “showed some signs that needed to be checked out” after which he stopped at a hospital.
Later it was announced that he won’t be able to make it to the convention due to his hospitalization and an update posted on Saturday revealed that he was still at the hospital.
A new update on his status was posted earlier today and it revealed that Race was still under doctor’s care and there isn’t any timetable because his health is the utmost priority:
Harley Race made his wrestling debut in 1960 and he went on to wrestle for almost every major promotion including NWA, WWE, AWA, and even WCW.
He won a number of singles and tag titles during his career and Harley went on to become an 8 time NWA World Champion in a time where wrestlers barely got opportunities to hold the belt twice.
While details of his current condition are not known, it was revealed in March earlier this year that the WWE Hall Of Famer is battling lung cancer.
So it’s possible that his health issues and the sudden hospitalization are related. We’ll keep you posted on the status of the former World Champion.
