The following are quick-match results from the WWE live event in Sheffield, England. The event was held before a respectable-sized crowd on Sunday, April 21.
1. Santino, Alex Riley, Jinder Mahal & Drew McIntyre defeated The Prime Time Players, Primo & Epico via pinfall after Santino hit the Cobra on Primo for the three count.
– After the match, The Shield hit the ring and beat down Santino, Riley, Mahal and McIntyre. Dean Ambrose jumped on the mic and dressed-down Sheamus and the New Age Outlaws (whom The Shield would face later on in the show).
– Lilian Garcia announces a Twitter poll to determine whether or not Zeb Coulter should be banned from ringside during the Jack Swagger vs. Alberto Del Rio match scheduled for later in the show.
2. Fandango defeated Ted DiBiase when Fandango hit his reverse-STO finishing move on DiBiase.
– Prior to the match, Fandango attempted to garner heat for himself by jumping on the mic and screwing with fans about the pronunciation of his name.
– A pre-taped Mark Henry interview is shown to the live audience. In the interview, Henry vows to put The Great Khali in the Hall Of Pain tonight.
3. Natalya defeated Alicia Fox when Fox tapped out to Natalya’s Sharpshooter submission hold.
– The guest ring announcer for the aforementioned Diva’s match was Hornswoggle.
4. Mark Henry defeated The Great Khali with the World’s Strongest Slam in what was basically said to be a squash match.
– A pre-taped Sheamus interview is shown to the live audience. In the interview, Sheamus confirms that the New Age Outlaws will in fact be his tag-partners later in the show against The Shield.
5. No-DQ Match: Alberto Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger when Swagger tapped out to Del Rio’s cross-armbreaker submission hold.
– Zeb Coulter ended up coming out with Del Rio, doing a typical Zeb Coulter-style promo before it was revealed that he lost the aforementioned Twitter poll. Thus, Coulter was banned from being at ringside during the match.
6. Intercontinental Title: Wade Barrett (c) defeated Justin Gabriel when Barrett caught Gabriel coming off the top rope with a Bull Hammer for the victory.
7. Randy Orton defeated The Big Show when Orton reversed a WDM attempt into a RKO for the pinfall victory.
8. Main-Event: Sheamus & The New Age Outlaws defeated The Shield via Disqualification when Roman Reigns hit Sheamus with a chair during a pin attempt following his White Noise finisher.
– Crowd popped huge for Randy Orton, Sheamus, The New Age Outlaws and The Shield. Basically a very similar show to those held earlier in the weekend on the same UK tour.
