WWE House Show Results (9/6): Montreal, Quebec, Canada

The following are results from the WWE live event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event was held on Friday, September 6, 2013.

-Bo Dallas defeated Tyson Kidd to retain the NXT Title. This was Kidd’s first match back with WWE since surgery. Was said to be a really good match. In the end, Dallas picked up the pinfall victory after hitting a running powerslam.

-Dean Ambrose defeated Rob Van Dam to retain the WWE U.S. Title. Was said to be a really good match that the crowd was very hot for. The finish came when RVD hit a splash on Ambrose, and Ambrose rolled through, held the tights, and picked up the 1-2-3 for the victory.

-Vickie Guerrero comes out to the ring. She does her “Excuse Me” stuff and then calls out Big Show. She tells Big Show not to get involved in the Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan match later, as that’s what’s “best for business.”

-Here they did the same Dance-Off stuff they’ve been doing on recent live events. Some of the girls do some comedic dancing, but ultimately, the bad girls attack the good girls to start an actual match.

-Natalya defeated Brie Bella via Submission. After all the dancing stuff, the actual match gets going. Typical Divas match, nothing much to speak of here. Natalya picked up the victory via submission after applying the Sharpshooter on Bella.

-Curtis Axel appears on the big screen and cuts a promo. He talks down the Montreal fans to garner some cheap heat before building up his match later in the show against CM Punk.

-The Shield defeated The Usos via Pinfall. The finish came when Reigns hits his Blackout finisher on one of the Usos for the pinfall victory. After the match, The Shield continued to attack one of The Usos, but the other Uso eventually made the save.

–Intermission–

-Sami Zayn defeated Antonio Cesaro via Pinfall. As noted, this was Zayn’s official WWE in-ring debut. These two had a very impressive match, as you would expect. The finish came when Zayn caught Cesaro in a small package for the 1-2-3.

-CM Punk defeated Curtis Axel in a Non-Title, No-DQ match. Right before the match, as usual, it was switched to a non-title match. This was no disqualification, so there was a lot of weapons and such. Punk ended up picking up the pin after hitting the GTS on Axel.

-Brad Maddox comes to the ring. Maddox asks Big Show to come out. Big Show obliges. Maddox tells Big Show to sit at ringside and watch the upcoming main event.

-Randy Orton defeated Daniel Bryan to retain the WWE Title. Bryan came out to the loudest pop of the evening. Bryan had a towel that had “Oui” written on it, which is French for “Yes.” At one point, Bryan had the “Yes! Lock” on Orton, but The Shield broke that up. This lead to The Usos and RVD coming out. Big Show remained at ringside during this. However, eventually Big Show came into the ring, speared Reigns and single-handedly took out everyone.
