WWE has made a change to a big match at Extreme Rules.
Just last week, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle revealed that there will be a multi-man match to crown the new #1 contender for the Universal Title, which is currently being held by Brock Lesnar, at Extreme Rules. At the time, Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley were the only ones confirmed for this match at the upcoming event.
As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center on the USA Network, Angle revealed that this upcoming multi-man match at Extreme Rules had been nixed due to a snag in the contract for Lesnar’s next title defense.
It was then announced that Lashley will take on Reigns in a singles match at Extreme Rules.
The Extreme Rules pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.
