This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw started out with the Highlight Reel hosted by Chris Jericho. His guest was the remains of Mitch, the potted plant he smashed over Dean Ambrose’s head last week. Jericho was mocking Dean Ambrose when he was interrupted by Big Cass. The crowd reaction for Big Cass was impressive. Big Cass once again held his own on the mic and wound up hitting a big boot on Jericho.
After being kicked in the face, Jericho found Stephanie McMahon backstage and started talking trash about Shane McMahon to her. Jericho was claiming that this “New Era” is all Shane’s fault and that is a bad atmosphere. Stephanie McMahon said she agreed with him, but that the New Era is actually a good thing. She then mocked Jericho and set the main-event as Jericho versus Big Cass.

Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler
Baron Corbin was dominating this match, but Ziggler made a comeback like he always does. Unfortunately for Dolph, it was not enough and Baron Corbin got the win via the End of Days. This might very well be the end of this feud, unless the WWE wants to have one more match between the two performers at Extreme Rules.
This is a great match between @BaronCorbinWWE & Dolph! #RAW pic.twitter.com/sBJxMT6w3h

Charlotte and Ric Flair confronted Shane McMahon backstage and asked him to reverse his sister’s decision to ban Ric Flair from ringside at Extreme Rules during Charlotte’s match against Natalya. Shane did not reverse his sister’s decision, but instead banned Ric from ringside in Charlotte’s match on Raw against Paige.
R-Truth vs Fandango
This storyline will never end. R-Truth got the win over Fandango and Goldust was shocked that it happened. There will be a tag-team match on Smackdown between Goldust & Fandango versus R-Truth and Tyler Breeze.
Charlotte vs Paige (w/ Natalya on commentary)
Natalya was repeatedly calling Charlotte a little girl and that all she does is hide behind her father. Shane McMahon banned Ric Flair from ringside but of course he came out anyway. This led to Shane bringing out a group of officials to get Ric Flair to leave. Charlotte was distracted by the referees surrounding her father and Paige took advantage. She rolled-up Charlotte for the victory. After the match, Charlotte looked devastated, while Natalya grinned at ringside.

Sami Zayn vs The Miz (If Zayn wins he is added to the Intercontinental Championship match at Extreme Rules)
This was a solid back and forth match. During the match, they were cutting to Kevin Owens and Cesaro watching it backstage. Sami Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on the Miz for the victory. Kevin Owens was visibly annoyed when Zayn got the win, while Cesaro seemed un-phased. It is now a fatal four way match at Extreme Rules between Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and the Miz for the Intercontinental Championship.
I guess Sami Zayn has "tumbled" his way to the Intercontinental title match at Extreme Rules #Raw

Becky Lynch was being interviewed backstage when she was attacked by Emma and Dana Brooke. This was the main-roster debut of Dana Brooke and some people were not too happy about this. The main reason being that some feel that Bayley should have been called up to the main roster before her.

Rusev vs Sin Cara
Kalisto was ringside for the match and Rusev was yelling at him every chance he could. Kalisto will be defending his United States Championship against Rusev at Extreme Rules. Sin Cara got the win in this match, thanks to Kalisto interfering while the referee was distracted by Lana.
Roman Reigns & the Usos vs AJ Styles, Gallows & Anderson (Elimination Match)
This match was billed as “The Club” versus “The Family”. Jay Uso was the first one eliminated. The match came down to AJ Styles and Roman Reigns. Styles was planning on putting Reigns through the announcer’s table, but Reigns avoided it. The finish to the match was that it just turned into an all-out brawl as both Gallows & Anderson and the Usos came back to the ring after being eliminated. Roman Reigns and AJ Styles essentially played hot potato with a steel chair. AJ Styles was claiming that Roman needs to the chair to beat him and kicked it over to him and then Roman tossed it back. In the end, there was no real altercation after the match. AJ Styles retreated as Roman Reigns stood in the middle of the ring holding the chair.

Kevin Owens vs Zack Ryder
Earlier in the night, Shane McMahon made this match because Kevin Owens barged into his office while he was talking to Zack Ryder. If Zack Ryder won this match, he would take Kevin Owens’ place in the Intercontinental Championship match at Extreme Rules. It was not meant to be though, as Kevin Owens got the quick victory via the Pop-Up Powerbomb.

The Dudley Boyz vs The New Day
The crowd was strangely quiet during this match and would only make noise when Xavier Woods played the trombone. The Vaudevillians distracted the New Day, which allowed D-Von Dudley to pin Kofi Kingston. After the match, the Vaudevillians hit the Whirling Dervish on Kofi and left the ring. Again, it was strangely quiet during this match and that is slightly concerning. Hopefully, next week on Raw the WWE can inject a little life into this feud before the Tag Team Championship match at Extreme Rules.
Crowd dead again for Vaudevillians

Big Cass vs Chris Jericho
This match never happened because Ambrose attacked Jericho during his entrance. Ambrose then destroyed Jericho’s jacket in an act of revenge for Jericho destroying Mitch the plant last week. Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon were shown backstage talking about Jericho’s $15,000 jacket being destroyed. The conversation then shifted to how well they were working together. Shane McMahon left to take a phone call and Stephanie McMahon gave a strange look while holding the framed picture of Vince and Shane McMahon. This was quite the bizarre ending to Monday Night Raw.
R.I.P. Light-up Jacket. 2012-2016. You had a great run. Dean Ambrose is just a hater. #Raw pic.twitter.com/0g6kerq6oF
