The road to SummerSlam begins on tonight’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in Long Island, NY at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. This show will serve as the post-show of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event for the RAW roster.
A big name had been speculated to appear and now WWE has confirmed it as newly crowned Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will appear on the show alongside his advocate Paul Heyman.
This comes after Lesnar successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at the Extreme Rules event to beat Seth Rollins to become champion once again. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what WWE has planned for Lesnar on this show but in the preview article for this episode, WWE is teasing that Rollins will be looking for payback.
Brock Lesnar Wins Universal Title At WWE Extreme Rules
An excerpt from the preview reads like, “There’s little doubt he’ll be game for the attempt, but after weeks of in-ring competition and mental stress brought on by Paul Heyman’s mind games, the question is whether his heart, his mind, and his body are all up to the task.”
As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce any matches or segments for this show but it will serve as an important show with the fallout from Extreme Rules as well as starting to build programs for matches to take place at SummerSlam next month.
