WWE Returning To Japan This Summer (Press Release)

The following was sent out today announcing WWE’s return to Japan this summer:

WWE (NYSE:WWE) today announced that WWE LIVE(TM) will return to Japan with three shows in July, 2014. The first two shows will be held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11. WWE Live will then return to Osaka for the first time since 2004, with a show at the Maishima Arena on Saturday, July 12.

Fans attending WWE LIVE(TM) will be able to see their favorite Superstars, including John Cena(TM) *, Daniel Bryan(TM) , The Wyatt Family and many more.**

WWE has a rich history of live events in Japan and WWE has been touring the country since 1994. In 2005, WWE taped both Raw(R) and SmackDown(R) in Japan.

WWE has a strong TV presence in Japan with its weekly flagship programs, Raw and SmackDown airing on J SPORTS. Since early 2014, Raw and SmackDown have been broadcast live and on the same day as the US. In addition, This Week in WWE(R), a weekly highlights program, can be seen on 12 different stations nationwide.

*John Cena will only participate in Tokyo shows.
