On Wednesday, WWE suspended the “Legends” contract of WWE Hall Of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka and began removing all references and mentions of him from WWE.com. The process included removing his profile from the WWE Hall Of Fame section.
Snuka, 72, was charged with third degree murder and involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday in connection with the 1983 death of Nancy Argentino, a close friend Snuka traveled the Northeast with during the last year of WWF as a Northeast territory.
He ended up posting $100,000 bail, and one of his lawyers is claiming that Snuka isn’t fit to stand trial due to enduring years of abuse inside the ring.
Removing all Snuka mentions falls in line with a precedent WWE recently set when the Hulk Hogan racism scandal hit.
