This week’s Smackdown opens up with a Dean Ambrose claiming that he is going to take away Chris Jericho’s ego. Jericho’s music hits and the lights go out. When the lights came back on, Jericho had laid out Ambrose. Jericho then put Ambrose in a straitjacket, while yelling “you wan’t to get crazy?” over and over again. After a couple of Codebreakers, Jericho finally left the ring. So now we have a plant, a $15,000 jacket (that is actually worth $25,000) and a straitjacket. It will be interesting to see what kind of match Jericho and Ambrose will have at Extreme Rules.

Rusev vs Sin Cara w/ Kalisto on commentary
Rusev lost to Sin Cara on Monday Night Raw, so tonight he had his chance to get revenge. Kalisto kept commenting on how angry Rusev and it is causing him to lose focus. However, when Lana threw a glass of water on Kalisto, he lost his focus and didn’t see Rusev creeping up behind him. Rusev kicked Kalisto in the back of the head and then submitted Sin Car with the Accolade.
. @KalistoWWE I am listening to you on commentary now… 1) U R delusional 2) U R a CHEATER 3) U R a LIAR 4) SHUT UP !!!! #SmackDown

Dana Brooke vs Becky Lynch
Dane Brooke dominated most of this match, but Becky Lynch made a brief comeback. Emma was outside the ring in Brooke’s corner and poked Becky in her injured eye. Dana Brooke then rolled Becky up for the victory in her debut match on the main roster.
The New Day came out and Xavier Woods said he was going to slap the Vaudevillians back to the future. The Vaudevillians interrupted and it led to a match between Aiden English and Kofi Kingston.
Aiden English vs Kofi Kingston
Xavier Woods and Big E tried to keep Simon Gotch from interfering in the match, but the referee decided to kick them all out. English rolled Kingston up and illegally grabbed the ropes while going for the pin. The referee didn’t notice and counted to three, giving Aiden English the cheap win.
So i'm just the only one that thinks Aiden English look like Von Kaiser from Punch-Out

The Usos vs Gallows & Anderson
Neither AJ Styles or Roman Reigns were ringside for this match. It was a solid back and forth match, with Jay Uso struggling to tag in Jimmy Uso. Eventually he was able to tag Jimmy into the match and he Superkicked both Gallows and Anderson. The matched ended in a disqualification when Gallows threw Jimmy Uso over the announcer’s table. Gallows and Anderson then hit both of the Usos with a steel chair outside the ring. Karl Anderson set up the chair with Gallows posing behind him while the Usos rolled around in pain.

Darren Young and Bob Backlund had another promo that was strange to say the least. Apparently, the joke was that Bob Backlund doesn’t understand new technology and was angry that Darren Young looked at the phone to tell him what time it was. Backlund ordered Young to do 200 squats and Young accepted under the guise of doing whatever it takes to him great again. This was just a bizarre backstage promo that didn’t really accomplish anything. I find it odd that Backlund doesn’t understand what a smartphone is the promos are filmed as if Backlund is communicating with Young via a webcam.
As much as I enjoy seeing wrestling legend Bob Backlund back on WWE TV, pairing him with Darren Young will be a total fail.#Raw

Gorgeous Truth vs Goldango
Tyler Breeze turned on R-Truth and Fandango turned on Goldust. It appears that Fandango and Tyler Breeze are going to become tag team partners, which makes sense. I’m hoping this means that R-Truth and Goldust are finally a tag team and that this storyline is close to the end.

Sami Zayn & Cesaro vs Kevin Owens & The Miz
Before the match, Kevin Owens took Byron Saxton’s headset and said that he will give the Miz one last chance to be a good tag team partner, but it is every man for himself at Extreme Rules. Owens then told Saxton that he better say good things about him during the match. There was a funny moment in the match where Owens was asking the Miz to be tagged in because he thought he could do better than him. As soon as the Miz tagged Owens, Cesaro tagged in Sami Zayn. Kevin Owens immediately tried to tag the Miz back in, but the Miz avoided the tag while saying “I thought you could do better”. Sami Zayn accidentally hit Cesaro with the Helluva Kick. This led to Kevin Owens hitting a Frog Splash on Cesaro for the win. After the match, the Miz attacked Sami Zayn, but Zayn turned the tables on him. Kevin Owens came to his rescue and hit Zayn with the Pop-Up Powerbomb. The Miz then took advantage of the situation and hit the Skull Crushing Finale on Kevin Owens. The show ended with the Miz standing tall while Owens, Zayn and Cesaro lay in the ring.
