This week’s episode of Smackdown opened up with the Club cutting a promo in the ring. AJ Styles was comparing this year’s Money in the Bank to Wrestlemania and that it is going to be the best Money in the Bank ever. A “Cena” chant broke out that caused Styles to stop mid-sentence in disgust. Styles claimed that the New Era in the WWE won’t get started until he takes out John Cena. Styles went on to state that Gallows and Anderson were going to dominate at Money in the Bank and become the new Tag Team Champions. Enzo and Cass interrupted and said that they will become the Tag Team Champions at Money in the Bank.
Gallows & Anderson vs Enzo & Cass
The New Day joined the announcer’s table for the match. Xavier Woods was taking in the match while enjoying a snack and Byron Saxton took turns feeding the members of the New Day grapes for some reason. As for the match itself, Anderson and Gallows were dominating Enzo early on. The Vaudevillians then decided to come out to the entrance ramp to watch the match. As soon as Big Cass was tagged in, he took over the match. That seems to be the trend in every Enzo and Cass match, Enzo gets destroyed and Cass saves the day. The Vaudevillians made their way down to the ring and the New Day attacked them. This all led to an all out brawl in the ring between the four teams competing in the fatal 4-way match at Money in the Bank for the Tag Team Championship. The brawl ended with Enzo and Cass celebrating in the ring.
Reaction: Every single time someone joins the announce table I’ve pretty much learned to write the match off. It usually ends in a DQ and subsequently leads to a brawl. That is exactly what happened here. I guess everyone will just have to wait till Money in the Bank these teams fight without an abrupt ending due to interference.

Renee Young is joined by Rusev and Lana. Rusev said that all week he has been listening to how Mohamed Ali is the greatest and that is wrong because Rusev is the greatest champion of all time. Titus O’Neil showed up and said that he will be taking Rusev’s United States Championship at Money in the Bank.
Sami Zayn & Cesaro vs Kevin Owens & Alberto Del Rio
The match started out with Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens going back and forth. Del Rio tagged himself in and Owens took exception. Owens was poking fun at Del Rio screaming “he talks Spanish! so cool!” in the corner of the ring. Del Rio went to tag Owens in but Owens refused and left the ring. Sami Zayn decided to chase after Owens and the two went backstage. That left Cesaro and Del Rio as the only two Superstars left in the ring. However, Owens and Zayn returned to the match which led to Del Rio confronting Owens. The confrontation spewed to the outside of the ring where Zayn flipped onto Kevin Owens. The match culminated with Alberto Del Rio about to pick up the victory over Cesaro, however Kevin Owens tagged himself in and threw Del Rio against the barricade outside the ring. Owens then pinned Cesaro for the victory and celebrated on one of the ladders set up on the entrance ramp.
Reaction: This was an entertaining match that highlighted that it will be every man for themselves in the ladder match at Money in the Bank.

Becky Lynch vs Dana Brooke
Both Natalya and Charlotte were ringside during this match. At the first opportunity she could, Charlotte hit Becky Lynch with a punch while the referee wasn’t looking. Charlotte and Natalya wound up getting ejected from the match by the referee because they were fighting outside the ring. Shortly after the ejection, Becky Lynch submitted Dana Brooke for the victory.
Reaction: Another very quick match for the Women’s division. It was nice to see Becky Lynch get a victory, is seemed like it had been awhile.
I feel like I've seen Dana Brooke V Becky Lynch for the past 8 weeks.

Kalisto vs Baron Corbin
Dolph Ziggler joined the announcer’s table for this match. This match was much more back and forth than I thought it would be. There were a few moments in this match where it looked like Kalisto was going to get the victory, but it was not meant to be. Corbin wound up hitting the End of Days for the victory. After the match, Corbin stared Ziggler down.
Reaction: This was a short but decent match between Corbin and Kalisto. I thought Ziggler would play a part in the match but he simply cracked a couple jokes on commentary. It appears that Ziggler and Corbin will be facing off against each other again in the near future.

Apollo Crews confronted Sheamus backstage as he was bragging to other Superstars about his role in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. Apollo Crews hit Sheamus with a punch that sent him flying across the room. R-Truth, Goldust, Summer Rae and Zack Ryder all stood and laughed at Sheamus as he threw a tantrum after the Crews punch.
Dean Ambrose vs Chris Jericho
This match was back and forth throughout. The match ended with Chris Jericho sending Ambrose into the corner where referee Charles Robinson was standing. Ambrose was able to stop himself from running into the referee, but as soon as he turned around Jericho hit Ambrose with the Code Breaker and got the victory. After the match, Jericho went to attack Ambrose with the ladder, but Ambrose reversed it. Ambrose climbed to the top of the ladder and pointed at the briefcase hanging above the ring. Ambrose then launched himself off the ladder and hit Jericho with an elbow.
Reaction: I didn’t see Jericho getting the victory in this match. If it is WWE’s goal to make it seem like anyone can win the Money in the Bank ladder match then they are doing a good job. Nobody saw Alberto Del Rio getting a clean victory over Sami Zayn on RAW coming and I certainly didn’t envision Jericho getting the win over Ambrose. Having said that, it was Ambrose who got the last laugh on Smackdown, Zayn simply just lost to Del Rio on RAW.
