An eight-year tenure comes to a close for the president of WWE Studios, Michael Luisi.
Luisi’s WWE Studios Tenure
Luisi’s prior engagements were with New Line, Miramax, and The Weinstein Company. He would join WWE Studios in 2010 and rise in the ranks.
Films under Luisi’s tenure at WWE Studios include The Marine Franchise, Fighting With My Family (Page Bio picture produced by Dwayne Johnson), along with straight-to-DVD animation films involving Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, and other Hannah Barbara characters under the Warner Bros. Animation banner.
Other reports are stating that Luisi lost his job due to a clash with Co-president of WWE, Michelle Wilson. The interim position is said to given to Timothy Schmidt, Vice president of Business Affairs and Operations of WWE Studios.
WWE is currently searching for the new full-time head of WWE Studios who will ultimately report to Wilson.
