WWE’s New Policy On Concussions, Update On Big Show’s Status

9

– Injured WWE Superstar Big Show is expected back by mid-July.

– WWE has a new policy for dealing with concussions. If a Superstar or Diva shows signs of a concussion (is actually diagnosed with one), they are immediately pulled from in-ring action and must past an ImPACT concussion test before they are cleared to return.

Even after wrestlers pass an ImPACT concussion test, they are evaluated for signs of post-concussion syndrome (headaches, nausea, disorientation). Once they past an ImPACT test and WWE doctors determine they are not showing any post-concussion symptoms, they are then cleared to return.
