Xavier Woods has commented on his recovery from injury and when fans can expect to see him back in action.
Woods underwent surgery to repair an Achilles tear back in October after suffering the injury while competing inside of the squared circle.
Chuck Carroll of CBS Sports recently did an interview with Woods. The full interview will be released soon but Carroll did tweet out an excerpt from the injury on his official Twitter account.
Regarding his injury, he said, “There’s no real timetable on when I’ll be back. It could be 5 months. It could be 9 months. There’s a lot of wiggle room in there.”
Xavier Woods Confirms Injury Suffered During WWE Live Event
Woods teamed up with Big E at the live event in Sydney, Australia where they took on then-WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions Revival in the opening contest.
The injury happened once he was Irish-whipped into the ropes and went down right away. As a result, he was pulled from the rest of the tour and sent back to the United States.
At the time of his surgery, it was reported that the belief was that he would be out of action for 6 months to 1 year. Best wishes to Woods on his road to returning to action.
