Overall Thoughts on Black Label Pro: Norm

The event had some fun matches despite the changes in the card. Some of the changes worked out better, like The Workhorsemen vs. Bailey and Davey Richards. Both teams worked hard and could be considered one of the best matches of the show. Bailey and Richards worked well together and could be a tremendous tag-team for other independent wrestling promotions.

Another standout match was the Four-way Match. It had a good blend of comedy spots, high-flying action, and physicality. The Barbarian vs. Calvin Tankman match was solid, but fans may be disappointed that Meng couldn’t attend the show. Regardless, the final event of GCW Collective delivered a good show.

Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Kevin Owens In A No Holds Barred Match To Close Night 1

Kevin Owens welcomed Stone Cold Steve Austin as his guest on the KO Show in the final segment of the night. Ridge Holland & Sheamus versus Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods was apparently cut for time.

Owens cracked some jokes about Texas being the ass of North America as the crowd gave him the “what?!”. Kevin apologized for “telling the truth” about Texas and claimed the state is actually worse than he remembered. Owens said he will bring out his guest whenever he wants because this is his show.

Kevin stated that he used to look up to Stone Cold but tonight he is going to tell him how much he sucks. Owens claimed that Stone Cold will not do a damn thing besides sit in the chair and take it. Kevin added that if Austin doesn’t show him the respect he deserves he will hit him with a Stunner.

Stone Cold’s theme hit and the crowd erupted. Austin posed for the crowd for a bit before walking backstage. Austin drove an ATV down the entrance ramp and around the ring as Owens watched on. Austin eventually got into the ring and Owens shouted to cut the music.

The crowd loudly chanted “Austin!” as Owens demanded that Stone Cold take a seat. Austin looked into the camera before staring at Owens. Kevin said he wasn’t here for a fight and wanted a nice chat. Owens welcomed Austin to the KO Show and Stone Cold and called Owens a jackass.

Steve Austin called Owens a stupid son of a bitch and the crowd broke out in another “Austin!” chant. Owens wondered what was so great about Texas and mocked the weather, the land, and the people for wearing dumb hats and cowboy boots. Kevin suggested that everyone should move somewhere else and Austin asked the crowd to chant “asshole!” at Owens. The crowd obliged and Austin held up the microphone.

Owens told Stone Cold that he was being rude and he should be more like Owens, a “distinguished French Canadian”. Kevin told Austin that he doesn’t want to talk anymore and wants a fight. Owens challenged Stone Cold to a match and noted that has been 19 years.

Kevin noted that Austin’s knees, back, and his neck are probably worse than ever. Owens upped the stakes and challenged Austin to a No Holds Barred match. The crowd broke out in a “yes!” chant and Owens joked that Austin can’t even talk right now. Kevin claimed that Stone Cold can’t beat him anyways and told him to get back on his stupid golf card and go back to his ranch. Stone Cold looked around as the crowd was cheering before staring at Owens one more time. Austin said he had his first match in Dallas and he could have his last match right here in Dallas, Texas. Stone Cold asked the crowd if they wanted him to compete in a match tonight against “this sack of shit” give him a hell yeah. Austin asked for a referee and he ran into the ring.

Owens and Austin threw the compute chairs out of the ring as a “holy sh*t!” chant broke out. The bell rang and the crowd went insane again. Austin and Owens got in each other’s faces and traded words. They started trading punches in the middle of the ring. Austin got the better of the exchange and beat Owens down in the corner.

Stone Cold stomped on Owens several times and flipped him the bird. Austin whipped Owens to the corner and he took a big bump to the canvas. Austin stomped Owens down again before launching him out of the ring. Stone Cold hit Owens with a Clothesline outside the ring and shoved his face into the barricade.

Owens battled back and sent Stone Cold into the ring post before unloading several punches to the face. Kevin set up a table against the barricade but Stone Cold wound up sending him through it. Austin threw Owens over the barricade and battled with him through the crowd. Austin went for a Suplex but Owens countered with one of his own on the concrete floor.

They battled through the crowd some more and to the ringside area. Owens climbed up on the barricade and Austin slammed him onto the announce table. Austin opened up a couple beers and chugged them before unloading some punches to Owens’ face. Austin spit some beer in Owens’ face and rolled him back into the ring. Owens made his way to the ATV on the entrance ramp and couldn’t figure out how to start it.

Austin rushed him from behind and bashed Owens in the back of the head a few times. Stone Cold got on the ATV and drove them to the top of the entrance ramp. Austin connected with a Suplex on the entrance ramp before bouncing Owens’ head off the ATV. Stone Cold hit Owens with another Suplex on the entrance ramp. Stone Cold continued to beat Owens down until they made their way back to the ring.

Stone Cold brought a couple more beers into the ring and cracked them open. Austin took a swig but walked into a Stunner from Kevin Owens. Kevin went for the cover but Stone Cold kicked out at two. Owens brought a steel chair into the ring and swung but Austin ducked. Owens hit the rope and the chair bounced into his face. Austin then delivered a Stunner for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Austin hit Owens with another Stunner before saying “that is the bottom line because Stone Cold said so”. Austin offered Byron Saxton a beer and the commentator foolishly entered the ring. Austin hit him with a Stunner before sharing a beer with his brother in the ring.

Mission Pro Wrestling: Bangerz Only! Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Mission Pro Wrestling: Bangerz Only! put on one of the strongest shows of the weekend. La Rosa Negra and Jody Threat tore the house down and fulfilled the ‘Bangerz Only!’ moniker. The fast pace of the matches were able to keep you invested. Through out the show, familiar faces such as Janai Kai, Allie Katch, Masha Slamovich, Thunder Rosa, and Trish Adora put on a show as expected. However, it seems like all of the women were in a different gear today. This show was everything that women’s wrestling can and should be.

GCW: The Collective still has two shows remaining for the weekend. To see the schedule for the remaining events, click here.

Overall Thoughts on USA vs. The World

The event may not please some wrestling fans, especially with the price of $14.99. The performances during the PPV could also be the result of many of the competitors having multiple matches within the last three days.

The matches that stood out were Bailey vs. Richards and Oku vs. Swann for the British Cruiserweight Championship. Ellering and Troy also had a solid match. However, fans may think the rest of the card was lackluster.

The USA vs. The World concept was interesting, although you could predict the outcome by the final match. If fans haven’t already, this card may not encourage them to buy the event.

Jade stole Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin, and Jacy Jayne’s titles and would be getting revenge on them. She would later Cora trap Jacy and Gigi in a caged-off area and garbage bin before getting to Rose. The Main Event

7nxt

Dolph Ziggler vs. Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship headlined the show.

Dolph Ziggler won the NXT Championship in a Triple Threat Match last month on NXT TV as it was Tommaso Ciampa who was pinned. Bron was shown looking for Dolph ahead of the March 15 episode of NXT. In the main event, Ziggler successfully retained the title against LA Knight. Post-match, Bron issued the match challenge and Ziggler accepted.

The match saw Bron in control early on. Early on, Bron went for a spear, but Robert Roode grabbed his leg so the referee tossed him from ringside. GCW: EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 4 Final Thoughts

In conclusion, GCW: EFFY’s Big Gay Brunch 4 was better & gayer than the year before it. While there may be political tensions in Texas around LGTBQ+ issues, this show was one of unity. There was lots of respect, compassion, and unity shown throughout the show which is uncommon for most GCW shows. The multi-man matches really kept the show feeling familiar to the GCW brand. There was an amazing about of inclusion and diversity within the card, which was refreshing. Keita Murray and Bill Dixon put on a barn burner. Unique bouts in Sheik/Parrow and the four way tag were revitalizing. This show is definitely a step in the right direction and leaves you feeling hopeful!

Overall Thoughts on GCW: Gringo Loco’s-The WRLD on Lucha

The event had fun matches that fans may enjoy on VOD. Each match had a great mixture of high-flying offense and physicality. It lasted for about two and a half hours. Sadika and Pagano had one of the best matches on the card, as they didn’t hold back on how physical they got. Wrestling fans may be in awe at how Sadika performed in the match and the punishment she endured.

The finish between Wagner Jr. and Clown may upset people. However, it did set up a future hair vs. mask match. Overall the seventh GCW event delivered another enjoyable event as part of GCW: Collective.

Keith Lee Picked Up A Win, Team Taz Attacked

Keith Lee battled Powerhouse Hobbs in the main event of this week’s episode of Rampage. Mark Henry interviewed both wrestlers before the match.

Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:

Madcap Moss Won The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal kicked off the show. Reggie eliminated Tozawa early and taunted him. Damian Priest then sent Reggie out of the ring for the elimination. R-Truth took the opportunity to taunt Reggie & Tozawa and Damian threw him over the top rope as well.

Viking Raiders eliminated Jinder Mahal and Shelton Benjamin eliminated T-Bar. Happy Corbin showed up to cheer on Madcap Moss and it almost backfired as Tommaso Ciampa tried to send Moss over the top but he held on. Cedric Alexander, Shelton Benjamin, Mansoor, Apollo Crews, and the Viking Raiders were all quickly eliminated in the next sequence.

Everyone teamed up to get the big men out (Commander Azeez & Shanky). United States Champion Finn Balor eliminated Damian Priest to continue their rivalry. Finn Balor, Tommaso Ciampa, Robert Roode, and Dolph Ziggler were the final four superstars remaining in the Battle Royal.

Robert Roode battled with Madcap Moss and planted him with a Spinebuster. Ziggler and Roode got Balor to the apron but couldn’t eliminate him. Madcap Moss snuck up from behind and sent Roode & Ziggler over the top rope. Balor got back into the ring and traded shots. Madcap Moss got the upper hand and eliminated Balor to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

After the match, Madcap Moss said he did it all by himself and Andre was his hero. The crowd was booing Moss and he took the opportunity to mock the fans in Dallas before celebrating with the trophy.

Ricochet Retained The Intercontinental Title

Ricochet defended the Intercontinental Championship against Angel & Humberto (Los Lotharios) in a Triple Threat match. Los Lotharios treated the bout as a Handicap match early and beat the champion down. Ricochet tried to battle back but Angel & Humberto sent him to the outside. Los Lotharios shared a hug as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Angel and Humberto were still in control and taunting the crowd while keeping the champion on the mat. Ricochet hit Angel with a kick but turned around into an Enziguri for a two count. Humberto went for the cover but Ricochet kicked out at two. Angel wasn’t too pleased about that and went for another cover while Humberto was posing in the corner.

The tag team began arguing and Ricochet finally got in some offense before the numbers game caught up to him. Humberto tried to roll Angel up but he kicked out and they started arguing again. Ricochet capitalized with a Crossbody onto both superstars and then a big Dropkick to Angel.

Ricochet connected with a standing Moonsault on Humberto and went for the cover but Angel broke it up at the last moment. Ricochet climbed to the top rope but Angel tripped him up. Ricochet responded with a kick to the face and made his way back to the top turnbuckle but Humberto broke it up this time.

Humberto went for a Superplex but the champ held onto the ropes. Ricochet sent Humberto onto Angel with a Suplex and climbed to the top rope. Ricochet hit Angel with the 630 Senton and then quickly followed it up with the Recoil on Humberto for the pinfall victory. Ricochet is still the Intercontinental Champion.

Naomi & Sasha Banks Pinned The Champs

Sasha Banks & Naomi faced Women’s Tag Team Champions Queen Zelina & Carmella in a non-title match. Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Natalya, and Shayna Baszler were ringside for the match. Carmella and Zelina will defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships against Morgan & Ripley, Baszler & Natalya, Banks & Naomi in a Fatal 4-Way match at WrestleMania.

The champs controlled the action early and isolated Sasha Banks in the corner of the ring. Sasha battled back with a knee to the face and crawled towards the corner. Zelina knocked Naomi off the ring apron to prevent the tag but Banks battled back. Naomi hopped back on the ring apron and tagged in.

Naomi slammed Zelina to the mat and went for the cover but Carmella broke it up. Naomi leveled the champs with a Dropkick and tagged in Sasha Banks. Sasha hit a Splash and Naomi followed it up with the split-legged Moonsault for the pinfall victory.

Charlotte & Ronda Rousey Spoke

Ronda Rousey was interviewed earlier in the day ahead of her match against SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania. Rousey admitted that Charlotte has made her angry but she’s going to relax until WrestleMania. Ronda added that her family will be in the front row at WrestleMania to watch Flair either tap out or get her arm ripped off.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair made her way to the entrance ramp and vowed to destroy Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania. The fans started the “what?” chant and Flair responded with a “woo!”. Charlotte claimed that she was cool because every woman wanted to be her and every man wanted her. The crowd booed and Flair ended the promo by calling Rousey a b*tch.

Vince McMahon Threatened To Fire Pat McAfee, Austin Theory Pins The US Champion

Rick Boogs battled Jimmy Uso this week on SmackDown. The Usos will defend the SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Boogs and Shinuke Nakmura at WrestleMania. Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura were ringside for tonight’s match.

Before the match, Pat McAfee chased Austin Theory backstage again and to Vince McMahon’s office. McAfee pounded on the door and began to walk away. McAfee turned around and booted the door and it popped open. An enraged Vince McMahon emerged and threatened McAfee that he’d cancel his WrestleMania match. Vince also threatened to fire him and McAfee walked away as Austin Theory hid behind Mr. McMahon.

Boogs dominated early and showed off his power by lifting Jimmy with ease. Boogs hit a massive Fallaway Slam and both superstars were down. Austin Theory jogged down the entrance ramp and Pat said he was going to try to ignore him. Theory grabbed a drink and threw it on McAfee. Michael Cole calmed McAfee down by saying “Pat!” over and over. Theory posed on the entrance ramp but United States Champion Finn Balor showed up and attacked him. Balor rolled Austin Theory into the ring and the referee called for the bell as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

Nakamura, Boogs, and Balor then faced Austin Theory & The Usos in a 6-man tag. Pat McAfee got very pumped as Boogs manhandled Austin Theory. Balor tagged in and The Usos sent him to the outside. Jey bounced Finn’s head off the announce table and rolled him back into the ring.

When SmackDown returned from a commercial, Balor connected with a Dropkick as Nakamura pleaded for a tag. Nakamura and Theory tagged in and Shinsuke caught him with a kick to the face. Shinsuke unloaded a series of kicks and followed it up with an Enziguri. Nakamura got Theory in the ropes and hit a sliding German Suplex. Balor tagged in and sent Theory to the outside.

The United States Champion flipped onto Theory and The Usos before bringing Theory back in the ring. Finn hit a Slingblade and climbed to the top rope. The Usos got up on the apron and Balor booted them away. This allowed enough time for Theory to recover and he tripped Balor up. Austin Theory then hit the reigning United States Champion with the ATL for the pinfall victory and taunted Pat McAfee to end the segment. McAfee and Austin Theory will battle at WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre Got Angela Back

Happy Corbin & Madcap Moss made their way to the ring as SmackDown went to it’s final commercial break. Corbin hosted an episode of Happy Talk with Angela the sword as the guest. McIntyre’s sword was placed on a table as the crowd booed the hell out of Moss & Corbin.

Moss boasted about winning the Battle Royal and Corbin downplayed it by saying he’s been there and done that. Happy made a rough joke (“what does McIntyre’s sword and his mother have in common? He has lost them both”).Corbin claimed that Angela the sword needed a new happy name. Drew McIntyre finally interrupted and swatted Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner Madcap Moss away like he was nothing.

McIntyre grabbed a steel chair and hurled it at Corbin. The chair hit Corbin and he dropped the sword. Drew grabbed the sword and swung away but Happy Corbin retreated. McIntyre then threw out the furniture in the ring and broke the table with the sword to end the show.

Ring Of Honor Supercard Of Honor XV Final Thoughts

Honestly, the quality of matches on the show was amazing. However, I believe the booking was poor and possibly even disrespectful to the champions of the prior version of ROH. Nevertheless, FTR and The Briscoes had likely one of the best matches you would ever see. Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Martinez developed great chemistry in the ring, which reflected on to the match perception. We also had three new champions crowned in FTR, Minoru Suzuki, and Wheeler Yuta. In addition to these title changes, Jonathan Gresham became the only ROH World Champion in his unification match with Bandido.

GCW: For The Culture 3 Final Thoughts

In conclusion, GCW: For The Culture 3 was everything I was hoping the show would be. There was lots of respect, compassion, and unity shown throughout the show which is uncommon for most GCW shows. The multi-man matches really kept the show feeling familiar to the GCW brand. The women’s matches overdelivered. Shane Taylor Promotions and The HitMakerZ match stole the show. At the end of the show, we also saw the first ever all Black deathmatch in Game Changer Wrestling. This show is definitely a step in the right direction and leaves you feeling hopeful!

Zicky Dice’s Trouble In Paradise 2 Final Thoughts

In short, Zicky Dice’s Trouble In Paradise 2 was… OUTLANDISH. Surprisingly, there was an impromptu Falls Count Anywhere Match for the IMPACT Digital Media Championship. During the Sensational Sextuplet Scramble, the referee even got involved by performing some moves on the outside. There was even a full swerve where the bear that Masha Slamovich was supposed to face ended up being Max The Impaler. Regardless of the ‘OUTLANDISH’ activities, the show was without a doubt one of the most fun of the weekend.

GCW: LA Fights vs JCW Final Thoughts

In conclusion, GCW: LA Fights vs JCW was everything we expected it to be. From the multi-person matches, to the brutal and crafty collisions, both promotions came out looking dominant. Although it was hard to focus during the Super Series of Survival Match, in the best way possible, the matches after definitely brought your attention right back. Many of the wrestlers on the card showed new levels of grit and intensity. The final two matches were intense, to say the least.

  4. Shane Mercer defeated Neil Diamond Cutter in a Light Bundle Deathmatch
  5. Hoodfoot defeated Mad Man Pondo in a Light Tube Deathmatch
  6. Sadika defeated Jimmy Lloyd in an Intergender Deathmatch

Overall Thoughts on GCW: Planet Death

GCW: Planet Death may not be enjoyable for wrestling fans that don’t like Deathmatches. Every match on the show had someone bleed profusely. If you aren’t a fan of wrestlers getting hit with light tubes or cut on the forehead with a blade, this show may not interest you.

The event delivers on what fans should expect from fans of Deathmatches. The matches on the card are brutal. The competitors on the card put their bodies through pain to put on an entertaining show. However, bouts like Mercer vs. Cutter also tell stories in the match that may make you interested in how it would end. One of the standout matches on the card was Radrick vs. Akira, as both wrestles took a tremendous amount of punishment and dished it out.

The event is also an hour and a half long, making it easier to watch. Despite cleaning the objects in the ring after a match, the PPV pacing was good. Deathmatch or curious fans that missed the show could be interested in seeing the PPV on VOD for $12.99.

Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow 2022 Results(3/31)

Overall Thoughts on Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow

The Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow delivered a great wrestling show. The event did have some audio issues and spoiled a surprise appearance by Bret Hart at the start of the show. In the main event, Homicide and Low Ki confronted a fan for being disrespectful. The incident went on for almost 5 minutes before the match started. However, it may not hurt a fan’s overall enjoyment of the event.

Bandido vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey set the tone for the event and could be considered the best match on the card. However, the rest of the card also delivered exciting and fun matches. Yim looked in great shape and seemed happy to be wrestling again in her return. The show may be worth watching for $14.99 on VOD for fans who didn’t see the event live.
