WWE‘s latest edition of SmackDown went down on (3/3/23) from the Capital One Center in Washington D.C.! Cody Rhodes confronted Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns ahead of their WrestleMania 39 main event and Sami Zayn once again escaped the clutches of The Bloodline!

Live Coverage

Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Bloodline Confrontation

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way down to the ring to kick off tonight’s show. The champion is flanked by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. Cody Rhodes then makes his way down to the ring. Cody says he’s not here to fight, he’s here to talk to Reigns and says that he doesn’t think there’s any reason for the rest of The Bloodline to be out here. Reigns tells Jimmy, Solo, and Heyman to leave, which they reluctantly do. Roman asks Cody if he’s more comfortable now and he drops his titles before asking Cody, ‘what do you wanna talk about?’. Cody says Roman has been the champion for over 900 days and while it seems like an impossible task to defeat Roman, he’s (Cody) made career on doing the impossible. Roman says what Cody’s done is impressive but asks ‘The American Nightmare’ if he’s ever headlined WrestleMania or won the WWE Title before. Roman said Cody’s father, Dusty Rhodes prepared him (Roman) for where he is today and even remembers Dusty telling him that he’ll headline WrestleMania and win the WWE Title one day.

Roman says Cody isn’t the only one who misses Dusty and says that he wishes Dusty was here to see their WrestleMania main event. Roman says if Dusty didn’t teach Cody something, he’d be more than happy to school him (Cody). Roman tries to shake Cody’s hand and Cody says their WrestleMania match is a necessity and the only way he (Cody) can exist, is if he beats Roman Reigns and become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 39. Cody tells Roman that the better man will win at WrestleMania and he (Cody) finally shakes Roman’s hand. Cody’s music hits and Roman exits as the crowd sings along with Cody’s theme song.

We then see Rhea Ripley, alongside Dominik Mysterio walking through the backstage area and Rhea will face Liv Morgan after the break.

Drew McIntyre makes his way down to the ring. McIntyre wastes no time and calls out the Intercontinental Champion Gunther. However, Sheamus’ music hits and out comes the leader of the Brawling Brutes. Sheamus asks McIntyre why he’s calling out Gunther since he knows how much the Intercontinental Title means to him (Sheamus). McIntyre says Sheamus isn’t his father and doesn’t need his permission to call out anyone that he wants. Sheamus calls McIntyre a ‘backstabbing b*tch’ and McIntyre says if Sheamus doesn’t like the call out, he shouldn’t have lost to Gunther not once, but twice. LA Knight’s music hits and Knight says if you’re talking about the Intercontinental Title, you’re basically talking about him…’YEAH!’. Knight says you can’t have WrestleMania in Los Angeles without him.

The New Day’s music hits and out comes Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The former multi-time tag champions say this whole ordeal is sad and Knight needs to worry about winning a match before he’s concerned with any titles. Karrion Kross and Scarlett then interrupt and Knight attacks New Day from behind. Sheamus joins the fray, as does McIntyre, and Kross wallops Sheamus to end the brawl and we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break and we see a pre-taped segment of Shayna Baszler and Tegan Nox attacking one another backstage before the show and Ronda Rousey helped Shayna take out Tegan.

We then had back to the arena and Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey make their way down to the ring and Shayna Baszler will face Tegan Nox after the break.

Back to the arena and Bobby Lashley is making his way down to the ring and we’ll hear from Lashley after the break.

Back from the break and Bobby Lashley says that he’s tried to call out Bray Wyatt but since he refuses to show his face on Monday Night RAW, he decided to come do it himself on Bray’s show, SmackDown. Uncle Howdy’s music hits and Howdy pops up behind Lashley and attacks the former WWE Champion. Lashley fights back and lines Howdy up for a spear but the lights go out and when they come back up, Howdy is gone. Bray Wyatt’s logo pops up on the screen and we head to a commercial break.

Backstage, we see Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. Roman asks Jimmy if he’s spoken to his brother, Jey, and Jimmy says he has. Jimmy tells Roman that Jey told him that he needs more time…then reveals that Jey actually told him (Jimmy) to tell Roman to ‘leave him the hell alone.’ Roman said he doesn’t understand why Jey has been acting like this but he knows it started when Sami Zayn started to come around The Bloodline. Roman says if Jey doesn’t show up next week and re-join The Bloodline, he’ll stop blaming Sami Zayn and start blaming Jimmy Uso.

Solo Sikoa (with Jimmy Uso) def. Sami Zayn

After the match, Solo and Jey continue their attack on Sami but Sami fights back and breaks free as the show goes off-the-air!

Bryan says he was forced to retire seven years ago and he said that if you fight for your dreams, you dreams will fight for you. MJF’s music hits and out comes the AEW World Champion. MJF tells production to cut his music and Bryan tells MJF to ‘shutup’. Bryan says he heard enough from MJF and says that MJF needs to stop thinking he deserves everything. Bryan says MJF has done nothing to earn anything he believes that he deserves and says that MJF has done nothing to fight for anything but the one thing MJF does deserve, was his fiancé leaving him like she did. Bryan says MJF is the opposite type of person he’d want his kids to marry and unlike MJF, who was ‘born with a silver spoon in his mouth’, he (Bryan) fought for everything. Bryan says before he came to AEW, he had a job that would’ve made sure he could do anything he ever wanted but he left to come to AEW because he wanted to fight and become AEW World Champion. Bryan says MJF better be ready to fight for everything in his life on Sunday night at AEW Revolution for the entire 60 minutes of their Iron Man match because if he doesn’t, he’s going to get his ‘f***ing head kicked in!’. The show begins and we see a video package highlighting the issues between The Bloodline and Sami Zayn. We see the events that occurred on this past Friday’s edition of SmackDown, where Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn brawled while Jey Uso decided to not get involved.

We then head to the arena where Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa make their way down to the ring. Jimmy says he’s seen the talk online and he’s seen everyone say that The Bloodline is falling apart but that’s not true because all families have disagreements. Jimmy says if you come for one member of The Bloodline, you come for the entire Bloodline. Jimmy runs down all of The Bloodline’s victims thus far, most recently, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Jimmy says the same will happen to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 where Roman Reigns will not ‘get one’ over on The Tribal Chief. Jimmy says Roman will be at SmackDown on Friday night but tonight, he and Solo are ready to remind everyone who runs RAW. The Street Profits’ music hits and out come Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

Angelo makes fun of Sikoa not wearing shoes and Montez makes fun of Jey not being there with Jimmy. Montez says if he were the glue of The Bloodline like Jey, he’d be tired of The Bloodline too. Montez says Jimmy can’t run RAW because he can’t even run his own family. The Profits say they want the smoke and the brawl is on! Montez and Angelo stand tall and it’s announced that these four competitors will throw down in tag team action after the break!

Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) vs. Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa

Brock lays back on one of the couches and out comes MVP, who was set to host the ‘VIP Lounge’. MVP says when he invited Brock to RAW and the ‘VIP Lounge’ this isn’t exactly how he envisioned it. Brock sarcastically apologizes for being early and invites MVP into the ring but MVP says he’s OK just talking from a distance. Brock says he has no beef with MVP and he’s just about business. The crowd chants ‘Suplex City!’ and MVP tells them to stop. Brock says he’s there on business and he’s here to listen to MVP and be a guest on the ‘beautiful’ set of the ‘VIP Lounge’. MVP asks Brock if it’s OK if he comes in the ring and asks Brock to assure him that he won’t be suplexed. Brock gives the OK and MVP says he knows Brock is a man of his word and gets in the ring before having a seat on the opposite couch from Brock. MVP looks nervous and Brock says he’s open to the idea of him fighting Omos but he needs MVP to sell him on the idea. MVP says Brock is the ‘Beast Incarnate’ and if Brock gets his hands on somebody, it’s all over for them. MVP says Brock couldn’t have his way with Bobby Lashley at Elimination Chamber and he certainly wouldn’t be able to do anything to Omos because Omos isn’t an ordinary man. MVP says the beast can destroy any man but the giant will subdue and conquer the beast.

MVP says he can take almost anyone he wants to ‘Suplex City’ but he wouldn’t be able to do that to Omos. Brock says he got goosebumps from that sales pitch from MVP and high fives him. Brock says the pitch was ‘damn good’ and says he accepts the challenge. Brock says not only does he accept the challenge but suggests that they shake hands on the deal and give a toast to Brock Lesnar vs. Omos at WrestleMania. Brock says it’ll be Brock Lesnar vs. Omos with MVP in his corner at WrestleMania 39. Brock says he’s just a simple farmer and he grows the ‘good stuff’ and they’re gonna drink the ‘good stuff’. Lesnar has a flask in his pocket and takes a sip, MVP says he only wants champagne but Lesnar shoves the flask at MVP and says MVP better not make him drink alone. MVP takes a sip from the flask and Brock says it’s called ‘white lightning’. MVP accidentally spits the drink in Brock’s face and MVP looks a nervous wreck. MVP whips down Brock and hands him a handkerchief but Lesnar plants MVP with an F-5.

Bianca says she doesn’t know what Asuka said but says she didn’t like her tone. Bianca says she’s here to remind Asuka that she’s the EST. of WWE and you can’t spell WrestleMania without EST. Carmella comes from behind and shoves Asuka into Bianca before exiting.

Santos gets in Dominik’s face but Rhea steps in-between them and laughs at Santos before she and Rhea exit. Rey looks distressed and leaves after Santos tries to console him and we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break and Jimmy Uso is with Solo Sikoa backstage with Paul Heyman lurking in the background. Jimmy says he thinks Jey is ‘spooked’ over the whole Sami Zayn situation. Heyman says Solo should sit in the back with him while Jimmy ‘handles’ Jey in the ring, man to man, brother to brother, Uso to Uso. Jimmy agrees and we head back to the ring, where LA Knight is making his way down the ramp.

LA Knight is in ring gear but grabs a microphone and says ‘lemme talk to ya!’. Knight says everyone is talking about their WrestleMania moment but not him. Knight said he came to WWE to make money and win titles and he starts that journey by going to WrestleMania ‘YEAH!’. Knight says he won’t be the one having a WrestleMania moment and says Los Angeles can’t have a WrestleMania without LA Knight being there, so, he’ll give WrestleMania an LA Knight moment. The New Day’s music hits and out comes Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Kofi laughs and says Knight doesn’t realize how WWE works. Kofi asks Knight who he even is thinking he can demand a WrestleMania match. Knight calls Kofi and Xavier the ‘Nerd Day’ and says if they stopped playing video games, they’d realize how much of a mega star he is ‘YEAH!’. Xavier says being nerds has made the New Day a lot of money and says he and Kofi can tell Knight loves hand outs considering the looks of the leather vest that he’s wearing. Xavier said Kofi had one of the biggest WrestleMania moments of all-time and Knight interrupts him and asks Kofi how ‘Kofi Mania’ worked out for him.

Kofi gets in the ring and says ‘Kofi Mania’ worked out pretty well for him and asks Knight if he wants him (Kofi) to ‘shut him up’ right here in Evansville, Indiana. The crowd seems to want it, and Xavier Woods calls for Adam Pearce to send out a referee and a referee makes their way down to the ring and we’ll have an impromptu match after the break!

Knight slides to the outside and cracks Woods with a forearm to the back of the head before heading back into the ring but he walks into an SOS from Kofi for the 1-2-3!

It’s then announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley will come face-to-face after the break.

Back from the break and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair makes her way down to the ring. Charlotte immediately calls Rhea Ripley out and Charlotte’s challenger doesn’t oblige. Charlotte says Rhea must be having second thoughts about choosing her after winning the Women’s Royal Rumble Match. Dominik Mysterio makes his way down to the ring and says he’s not going to allow Charlotte to run down ‘Mami’ like that. Charlotte tells Dominik to be a ‘good little Nino’ and tell ‘Mami’ to come face her like ‘a real woman’. Dominik says Charlotte is a beautiful woman and while females are the ‘softer sex’ Rhea is aggressive and ‘breaks’ his back. Charlotte says she has a real Latin man at him (referring to AEW’s Andrade El Idolo). Dominik says he and Charlotte have a lot in common being second generation superstars who have ‘surpassed’ their father’s even if the fans refuse to agree with it.

Dominik says Rey’s father is a lot worse than Charlotte’s, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Dominik says Rey messed his childhood up and because of that, he’ll always have a chip on his shoulder. Dominik says when ‘Mami’ beats Charlotte at WrestleMania, Charlotte will realize that Ric was right…she (Charlotte) just isn’t good enough. Charlotte says unlike Dominik, she loves her father, and Dominik is lucky because Ric isn’t here, because otherwise, he’d knock Dominik out. Charlotte takes off her title and gets in Dominik’s face and Rhea Ripley’s music hits. Rhea gets in Charlotte’s face but Dominik holds her back and they get out of the ring. Rhea rushes back in the ring as Charlotte hoists her title in the air and the challenger gets in the champion’s face. Dominik convinces Rhea to back off and the two The Judgment Day members make their exit as Charlotte laughs with her title in the ring.

After the match, Tegan Nox rushes the ring and a quick brawl ensues between the four competitors as Ronda and Shayna make their exit.

It’s announced that Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funhouse will go down after the break.

Back from the break and it’s time for the Firefly Funhouse! We see the Funhouse set and it turns red as the camera turns to the TV inside of the Funhouse. We see two Undertaker figures fighting each other and we see Bray Wyatt watching his promo back from last week where he called out the winner of Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar, which went down this past weekend at Elimination Chamber, where Lashley won via disqualification. Bray Wyatt pops back on the screen and he’s with Ramblin’ Rabbit. Bray asks Rabbit who opened the door but they then run a weather report, where we see Uncle Howdy. Bray then appears in game show attire and asks if everyone can keep a secret. Back at the Funhouse, things appear to get more serious as we see some flashes of horror movie scenes and Bray pops back up with a mask and asks if he told everyone a story, if they could keep a secret and that’s the end of the Funhouse.

Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman are shown backstage. Heyman shows Jimmy his phone where Roman Reigns texted him saying that Roman will be live at SmackDown, next Friday night. Heyman says that Roman also says that if Jimmy doesn’t handle Jey Uso, tonight, Roman said he’ll do it himself, next week.

It’s then announced that Rey Mysterio will face Karrion Kross after the break.

Rey Mysterio vs. Karrion Kross (with Scarlett)

Mysterio dumps Kross right to the outside and lays Kross out with a diving cross-body through the middle rope and we head to a commercial break. Back from the break and Kross is working over Rey back in the middle of the ring. We see a picture-in-picture of Kross firing Rey into the ring post with a Razor’s Edge during the break, which is how he gained control. Rey springboards himself of the middle rope but Kross catches him and slides up to the outside. Kross goes out and scoops Rey before drilling him with a sidewalk slam over his own knee. Kross tosses Rey back into the ring and puts Rey on the top turnbuckle and climbs up with him. Rey gets behind Kross and plants him with posoinrana from the top turnbuckle. Rey shoves Kross into the middle rope and looks for the 619 but Scarlett comes diving into the ring, pretending she fell to distract the referee. Rey continues with the 619 but Dominik comes from under the ring and shoves Rey on the ground. Rey climbs back into the ring and walks right into an elbow from Kross, who locks up the Kross Jacket and Rey goes to sleep!

Winner – Karrion Kross

After the match, Dominik gets in the ring and shoves Rey and Rey gets in his son’s face but refuses to hit him. Dominik yells at Rey to hit him but he still won’t. Rey says something to Dominik and kicks the bottom rope before exiting.

It’s announced that we’ll hear from Jimmy Uso after the break.

Back from the break and one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, Jimmy Uso makes his way down to the ring. Jimmy grabs a microphone and directs his attention to his brother, Jey. Jimmy says if Jey isn’t there tonight, he knows he’s watching and he knows that he’s hurt. Jimmy says he knows Jey is torn and no matter what, he’s always been there and will be there for Jey. Jimmy says people are saying that there’s cracks in The Bloodline and that they have a Sami Zayn problem and a Kevin Owens problem and he (Jimmy) can’t do it alone. Sami Zayn comes through the crowd and gets in the ring. Sami grabs a microphone and says he’s not there to fight and he just wants to talk to Jey. Sami says he also wants to talk to Jimmy and says every time Jimmy says brother, it hurts him because they used to be brothers too. Sami says Jimmy always trusted him, even when Jey, Roman Reigns, and Paul Heyman didn’t. Sami says without Jimmy there’s no Sami Uso but when things went left, Jimmy turned on him immediately and that hurt him (Sami). Jimmy looks like he’s about to attack Sami but he says Sami is selfish. Jimmy says the blame isn’t on him because Sami’s the one who took a steel chair to Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. Jimmy says what he did was what family does, Sami interrupts and says family doesn’t make you prove yourselves every single week and family doesn’t manipulate each other like Roman did to him…and Jey. Speaking of Jey, he comes in through the crowd and Sami continues talking to Jimmy. Sami says there’s a way out for both he (Jimmy) and Jey. Sami looks up to Jey and Jimmy attacks Sami. Jimmy waves on for Jey to come help him but Sami drills Jimmy with a Helluva Kick. Solo Sikoa rushes the ring and chases Sami off and Jey remains behind the barricade and everyone locks eyes from a distance as the show goes-off-the-air!

Back from the break and Bryan Danielson makes his way down to the ring. Bryan says the crowd sounds like they want him to win the AEW World Championship over MJF at ‘Revolution’, which garners a massive ‘YES!’ chant. Bryan says he’s going to do everything in his power to defeat MJF in two weeks but he first wants to address something that the champion said last week. Bryan says MJF said that he hates him but he’s the one who tried to put a bounty on his head and didn’t even want him to make it to ‘Revolution’ and hospitalized his idol William Regal but he’s the one who hates him? MJF’s music hits and out comes the AEW World Champion. MJF tells production to cut his music and says Bryan may have the fans fooled but he knows who Bryan truly is. MJF says he was thrown to the side by everyone he’s ever trusted…but then he met a girl, someone who changed the way he feels about the world. MJF said he got down on one knee and told that girl that he wanted to start a family with her and she left him.

The crowd pours in ‘you deserve it!’ chants and Bryan is laughing in the ring. MJF says now the only thing he can trust is the AEW World Championship, which is the only reason he hasn’t ‘grabbed a hand full of pills and called it a day’. MJF says everyone loves Bryan and admires him and MJF even starts a ‘YES!’ chant. MJF says Bryan has something he’ll never have…a family, beautiful wife, and two happy, healthy children, something Bryan takes for granted. MJF says he hates Bryan, but it’s not because of fans thinking Bryan is better than him, but because Bryan has had more concussions than anyone in professional wrestling history but he stills has stuck around the sport. MJF says every time Bryan steps into the ring, Bryan is showing that professional wrestling is more important than his wife and his children. MJF says Bryan is taking everything that he’d kill for, for granted. MJF says Bryan is no better than Bryan’s ‘drug addicted’ mentor, William Regal. MJF says Bryan will get the spotlight at ‘Revolution’ because that’s where he’s going to ‘punish’ Bryan for everything he’s taken for granted.

MJF looks directly into the camera and says he wants to speak to Bryan’s children. Bryan interrupts and says if MJF talks about his children, he’s going to ‘kick the sh*t’ out of him. MJF says hi to Bryan’s children and says at ‘Revolution’ he’s going to rip ‘dada’s’ arm right out of his socket and make sure that he can never play with them again. MJF says he’s going to make sure that ‘dada’ can’t ever pick them up again and says that he’s going to give ‘dada’ a present on March 5th…and that’s early onset CTE. Bryan attacks MJF and the brawl is on! Security rush the ring, much to the dismay of the crowd in attendance and security separates the two competitors. Bryan escapes and goes right back on the attack but they’re quickly separated once again. However, this time, MJF breaks loose and attacks the challenger but now AEW officials come down and assist the break-up. MJF exits the ring and Bryan escapes the ring and cracks MJF with a massive flying forearm which gets ‘holy sh*t!’ chants from the crowd and we head to a commercial break as security breaks up the brawl.

Jarrett tosses Trent over the top rope and Jarrett celebrates but Trent kept himself off the floor and spins back into the ring. Lethal tosses Trent right back over the top rope and celebrates with Jarrett but Orange Cassidy comes out from under the ring and pushes Trent back into the ring before his feet touch the floor. Danhausen helps Trent eliminate Lethal, Jarrett is yelling at Danhausen, and Trent tosses Jarrett over the top rope but Singh catches him and tosses Jarrett back into the ring. Jarrett plants Trent with a slam and sends Trent over the top rope and to the outside!

Moxley is laying into Uno pretty heavy here and dumps Uno out of the ring. Uno barely beat the ten-count and gets into the ring but Moxley drills him with a kick to the face. Uno is busted open pretty badly under his mask and you can see the blood pouring out from his exposed eyes on the mask. Uno powers up and plants Moxley with a pile-driver, then a second one, and goes for the cover but Moxley kicks out. Moxley locks in the bulldog choke and the blood is literally squeezing out of Uno’s mask and referee Paul Turner waves this one off!

WWE RAW Results (2/20/23): Austin Theory Defends United States Title Against Edge

WWE‘s latest edition of Monday Night RAW took place on (2/20/23) from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada! Austin Theory successfully retained the United States Championship against Edge in the evening’s main event!

Live Coverage

The show begins and we see a video recap of Roman Reigns victory over Sami Zayn from this past Saturday night’s Elimination Chamber premium live event.

We then head to the arena where the aforementioned Sami Zayn’s music hits and out comes the former title challenger. The crowd is still white hot for Sami and they chant along with his theme song and begin the customary ‘Ole, ole ole ole, Ole, Ole!’ chants and continue the ovation with chanting his name. Sami finally gets the Ottawa, Ontario, Canada crowd to calm down a bit and says he’s feeling a lot of feelings tonight but the main feeling he has is gratitude. Sami thanks the crowd for their support during his run with and against The Bloodline and the crowd meets him with ‘you deserve it!’ chants, which gets Sami a bit emotional. Sami says while he feels thankful, he feels a lot of guilt for coming up short when he was so close to finishing the story agains Roman Reigns. Sami says around WWE, the story is NEVER over, but we are entering the final chapter. Sami says the final chapter isn’t just about him…but he needs to talk to Kevin Owens, whom Sami calls out to come down to the ring. Owens’ music hits and out comes the former Universal Champion.

Sami tells Kevin that he has so much to say to him but doesn’t know where to start. Sami thanks Kevin for his help on Saturday night and also apologizes to him for their past. Sami says he and Kevin are past the point of words and he doesn’t know if there’s anyway they can get back to being best friends again. Sami says he knows Kevin’s main goal is to take down The Bloodline and he says he (Sami) won’t sleep until Roman Reigns and The Bloodline are taken down once and for all. Sami says Kevin can’t do it alone and neither can he, but they may be able to do it…together. The crowd is going ballistic and Kevin says he doesn’t need an apology from Sami or for Sami to thank him because him attacking The Bloodline on Saturday wasn’t for Sami, it was for his (Kevin’s) family. Kevin said he did it for Sami’s family too, so Sami’s wife, kids, and parents didn’t have to see Sami get beaten down like his (Kevin’s) family did. Kevin said at Survivor Series he told Sami that he was done with him and that stands ’til this day…but if Sami needs any help taking down The Bloodline, to just ask ‘his buddy’ Jey Uso. Kevin slams down the microphone and exits.

Our commentary team of Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves then run down tonight’s action, which includes Austin Theory defending the United States Championship against Edge, and an episode of ‘Ding Dong, Hello!’ with Bayley welcoming her Damage CTRL stablemates, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. Seth Rollins will face The Miz, and Cody Rhodes will address Roman Reigns and their WrestleMania 39 title match now that it’s official following Reigns’ victory over Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. We then cut back to the ring where Sami Zayn is waving to the crowd before exiting and Baron Corbin comes down and attacks Zayn out of no where and we head to a commercial break.

Back from the break and Adam Pearce, along other WWE officials are holding Sami back from rushing Corbin, who’s back in the ring with a microphone. Corbin says he tried to tell everyone, last week, that Sami Zayn wasn’t capable of competing with Roman Reigns, and he would especially know since he was the last one who defeated Roman Reigns. Adam Pearce continues to hold Sami back but Corbin says Sami is an embarrassment to his friends, his fans, his family, and the country of Canada. Pearce steps aside and tells Sami to go attack Corbin, and Sami flies down to the ring and have an impromptu match!

Back from the break and Byron Saxton is backstage sitting down with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Byron asks Rhea about her and Finn coming up short against Edge and Beth Phoenix this past Saturday at Elimination Chamber. Rhea says she’s not worried about the past, she’s looking toward the future and her SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Charlotte Flair. Byron starts to ask another question about Beth Phoenix but Dominik tells Byron to stop right there and if he asks another question about Edge or Beth Phoenix, he (Byron) is going to find out what he (Dominik) did when people annoyed him in prison. Rhea says she’s going to put Charlotte in her place at WrestleMania 39 and become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Byron asks Rhea what’s going to happen when she and Charlotte come face-to-face this Friday night on SmackDown and Rhea says you’ll have to tune in to find out. Dominik notes that his father, Rey Mysterio has a match this Friday night, so he’ll tag along with Rhea and make his way to SmackDown this Friday night. Rhea tells Byron that this interview is over and she and Dominik get up and leave.

We then see a video package highlighting Logan Paul’s interference and attack of Seth Rollins from this past Saturday’s elimination chamber match. The United States Champion Austin Theory is then shown backstage with Cathy Kelley. Cathy asks Austin how he feels just 48 hours removed from retaining his title against five of the best superstars on the WWE roster inside of an elimination chamber. Austin says he’s beat up and doesn’t feel 100% but he’ll do what he always does and that’s beat everyone in front of him, and that’ll continue tonight when he defeats Edge in his home country of ‘crappy Canada’. Theory then says nobody cares about John Cena’s return to RAW in a few weeks and says he’s focused on tonight and then he’s on the road to WrestleMania where he’ll solidify his legacy once and for all.

Mustafa Ali vs. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler cradles Ali and goes for a quick cover but Ali kicks out. Ziggler cracks Ali with a drop-kick then sends Ali to the corner and plants him with a swinging neck-breaker. Ziggler looks for a super-kick, Ali rolls to the outside and Ziggler drags him right back onto the apron but Ali uses the top rope and nails Ziggler with a neck-breaker. Ziggler catches Ali and plants him with a DDT and goes for the cover but Ali kicks out. Ziggler plants Ali with the Famouser but Ali ducked under and uses the crucifix to roll Ziggler up for the 1-2-3!

Winner – Mustafa Ali

After the match, we see The Miz and Maryse kissing backstage and Cathy Kelley steps in and asks for a word with the former WWE Grand Slam winner. Maryse shows The Miz his anniversary gift and The Miz says this gift is bigger than his half-court shot during this past weekend’s NBA Celebrity All-Star game. Cathy asks Miz how he feels before his match against Seth Rollins and Miz says he’s just happy that Rollins was ‘brought down to earth’ by his (The Miz’s) former protege, Logan Paul. The Miz says he’ll reveal what Maryse gifted him, next week on Miz TV.

We then see Cody Rhodes walking through the backstage area and we’ll hear from the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble Match winner after the break.

Back from the break and ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes is making his way down to the ring. Cody grabs a microphone and is about to ask everyone what they want to talk about but Paul Heyman pops up on the titantron and interrupts. Cody asks Paul where he is and Paul says he’s backstage and Cody asks Paul to make his way down to the ring. Paul says he was attacked this past Saturday night and now he’s stuck in a neck brace and not able to come down to the ring. Paul says what happened to him on Saturday night was a tragedy but it pales in comparison to the real tragedy which is what’s going to happen to Cody at WrestleMania 39. Paul tells Cody flat-out that he can’t beat Roman Reigns. Paul says it’s time to get hypothetical and pretend that Cody beats Roman at WrestleMania, and asks Cody what his life will be like should that happen. Paul says Roman Reigns has special counsel, the wiseman, Paul Heyman. Paul says if Cody beats Roman, he won’t have Paul Heyman.

Paul says 200 days a year, Cody will have to be on the road defending the titles, he’ll spend 50 days a year doing charity appearances and red carpet events, then 30 days overseas doing promotional work, another 20 days promoting every premium live event, which is now over 300 days on the road. Paul says the remaining 60-or-so-days, Cody will be at home still working, doing Zoom calls, etc. Paul says Cody’s brother said that their father Dusty was on the road all the time and even when he was home…he wasn’t home. Paul asks Cody if that’s what he wants for his wife and daughter should he win at WrestleMania. Paul says he wouldn’t ever say something disrespectful to Cody, like Roman would keep Cody’s wife warm should Cody beat Roman and spend all his time on the road…but Roman’s a happily married man…but he’s not (Paul)…and when Roman beats Cody at WrestleMania…his lifelong dreams are going to become his own, personal, nightmare.

Cody is visibly irritated and says Roman’s great but he’s seen this before. Cody says he’s not face-to-face with Roman right now but he probably will be soon enough and when they are in the same ring, he’ll say this to his face. Cody says Roman is undoubtedly the greatest Undisputed WWE Universal Champion of all-time but he’s going to finish his story and beat him at WrestleMania. Cody slams the microphone and exits the ring.

Asuka then makes her way down to the ring and she’ll face Nikki Cross after the break. Before the break, Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick say that the last time WWE had WrestleMania in Hollywood, WWE superstars starred in spin-offs of major movie trailers and they’re doing the same this year. Carmella says she isn’t worried about the past and is going to deliver a receipt to Asuka because ‘Mella is Money!’. Carmella exits and Cathy Kelley catches up with Seth Rollins, who was walking nearby. Cathy asks Seth why he’s in such a good mood considering what happened this past Saturday at Elimination Chamber. Seth says he’s laughing because this is the second-time Logan Paul has attacked him, so he’ll make sure to deal with Logan once the time is right. Seth says since Logan isn’t around tonight, the man who takes credit for Logan’s success, The Miz, is going to suffer for Logan’s actions, tonight. Seth laughs and it’s announced that Seth Rollins will face The Miz after the break.

Back from the break and we see the highlights from the Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match from Elimination Chamber this past weekend. Bayley says IYO and Dakota are under-appreciated that way everyone can hear their ‘beautiful voices’. Bayley asks Dakota and IYO how it feels to be the greatest women’s tag champions of all-time. Dakota says she and IYO wouldn’t be there without their ‘beloved role model’ Bayley. Dakota says Damage CTRL has been on every show and defeated the likes of Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Becky Lynch. Dakota says she and IYO will surpass these 100 days as champions with another 100 days, and another 100 days…but Becky Lynch’s music hits and out comes ‘The Man’!.

MJF tells Daniels to explain how he feels about Bryan Danielson and Daniels takes an envelope of cash out of his back pocket and says he was given an obscene amount of money from MJF to disparage Danielson and while there was certainly a time in his career that he would’ve done just that, he doesn’t need that anymore. Page grabs the microphone out of Moxley’s hands and says their rivalry should not end with a roll up…it should end when they go to a dark alley and only one of them come out…and it should end at Revolution…with only one man standing. Moxley says he was hoping that Page was going to say that and he knows Page doesn’t have any friends to talk him out of such a decision.

Dark Order’s music hits and out comes Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, and John Silver. Uno says the Dark Order has had Page’s back for over the last two years.
