WWE RAW Results (8/15/22): US Title Match, Women’s Tournament, Dolph Ziggler vs. Theory, Dakota Kai, Riddle

WWE RAW aired live tonight from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. Dolph Ziggler battled Theory in this week’s main event. Bobby Lashley defended the United States Championship against AJ Styles. Dakota Kai had her first singles match on the main roster and Riddle returned after three weeks of injury.

Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:

The Judgment Day Beat Rey Mysterio Down

The Judgment Day (Rhea Ripley, Finn Balor, and Damian Priest) made their way to the ring for a promo. Judgment Day boasted about their attack on The Mysterios and Finn Balor claimed that Rey & Dominik will not be on the show tonight.

Damian Priest said that Edge isn’t here tonight because he is out in Toronto promoting their match next week. Priest vowed to send the Rated-R Superstar back into retirement and for his wife, Beth Phoenix, to have to wheel him around the house. Rey Mystery attacked from behind and knocked Balor & Priest out of the ring.

Rhea and Rey circled each other. Balor went for a sneak attack but Rey broke it up with several chair shots. Mysterio bashed Damian with the steel chair and went for hit Finn but Rhea slid in the way. Ripley ripped the chair away from Rey and Damian capitalized with a knee strike. Rhea set up a chair in the ring and delivered a DDT to Rey Mysterio. Damian unloaded some punches as Finn climbed to the top rope. Finn delivered the Coup de Grace on Mysterio with a steel chair on top of his chest.

Asuka & Alexa Advanced Women’s Tag Team Tournament

Alexa Bliss & Asuka faced Nikki A.S.H. & Doudrop in the first round of the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was ringside for the match. Belair, Bliss, and Asuka will battle Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai at Clash at the Castle. Alexa and Asuka controlled the action early and knocked Nikki & Doudrop out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Doudrop tagged in and The Empress of Tomorrow hit her with a Dropkick. Nikki tagged in and Asuka greeted her with a Clothesline and a Hip Attack in the corner of the ring. Asuka followed it up with a German Suplex and bridged into the cover for a near fall. Tamina and Dana Brooke were shown backstage watching as Doudrop leveled Alexa Bliss with a Crossbody.

Doudrop tagged in and set up for a Powerslam but Asuka bashed her in the face. Doudrop responded with a Michinoku Driver for a close two count. Doudrop went for a Splash but Asuka got out of the way at the last moment. Asuka hit a boot to the face and Bliss tagged in. Alexa hit Double Knees and Asuka tagged back in.

The Empress of Tomorrow applied the Asuka Lock on Doudrop as Alexa kept Nikki from breaking it up. Asuka and Alexa Bliss advanced to the 2nd round of the tournament for the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. They will battle IYO SKY & Dakota Kai in the next round. Bayley, Kai, and SKY appeared on the entrance ramp and talked some trash before WWE security broke it up.

Dolph Ziggler confronted Theory backstage and said that he earned the MITB contract when he won it, while Theory had to be added to the match. Theory vowed to successfully cash in the contract and keep winning he does so. The two stars then brawled backstage as RAW went to a break.

The Miz & Ciampa Picked Up A Victory

The Miz and Ciampa battled Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali tonight on RAW. Miz and Ciampa controlled the action early and applauded themselves on the apron as RAW went to a break. When RAW returned, Ciampa hit a Clothesline and applied a Headlock on Cedric Alexander.

Alexander escaped and tagged in Mustafa Ali. Mustafa hit Miz with a Clothsline for a near fall and knocked Ciampa off the ring apron. Cedric tagged in and Miz went for the Skull Crushing Finale. Alexander countered into a Powerslam and went for the cover but Ciampa put Miz’s boot on the ropes. Mustafa tagged in and slammed Miz down to the canvas. Ali went for the 450 Splash but Ciampa slid in with a precision knee strike while Mustafa was in midair. Ciampa followed it up with the Fairy Tale Ending for the pinfall victory.

The Usos Attacked Drew McIntyre

Ezekiel’s father, Ernie Jr., delivered a warning to Kevin Owens following his attack on Ezekiel last week.

McIntyre and Owens then had a promo before a singles match. Owens tried to downplay Drew’s success but McIntyre went on an awesome rant about all he’s done to get back to WWE. McIntyre admitted he was “The Chosen One” fifteen years ago, but then he was fired and has worked his ass off to get back to WWE.

The action started out back and forth but Owens took control. KO knocked McInyre to the floor and hit him with a Frog Splash off the ring apron as RAW went to a commercial break. McIntyre battled back and the action went back and forth for several minutes. Drew planted Owens off the middle turnbuckle with White Noise and went for the cover. Owens kicked out and Drew set up for the Claymore.

The Usos interfered and attacked Drew from behind to end the match in a DQ. Owens hit McIntyre with a Stunner after the match. The Usos tried to attack some more but McIntyre hit them with a Claymore. He then warned The Usos that he is coming after Roman Reigns on this week’s SmackDown.

Seth Rollins & Riddle, Veer Mahaan Dominates

Seth Rollins made his way to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Rollins referred to himself as a visionary and a revolutionary. Riddle interrupted on the jumbotron but eventually rushed the ring. Riddle planted Rollins with an Exploder Suplex and knocked him to the outside. Seth battled back and cleared off the announce table.

Seth tried to hit Riddle with the Stomp on the announce table but Riddle escaped. Riddle beat Rollins down a bit before Seth retreated through the crowd. Riddle chased him before posing with the WWE Universe to end the segment. Riddle issued a challenge to Rollins but Seth didn’t accept it yet.

Veer Mahaan defeated a jobber in a squash match.

Bobby Lashley Retained The US Title

Bobby Lashley defended the United States Championship against AJ Styles to begin the final hour of this week’s RAW. Lashley dominated the action early and beat AJ down in the corner of the ring. Bobby hit a big shoulder tackle before the challenger battled back. AJ caught the champion with a Dropkick before focusing his attack on the champion’s knees. RAW went to a break with both superstars down on the floor outside the ring.

When RAW returned, Lashley launched Ezekiel into the ring post. The Miz and Ciampa showed up on the entrance ramp and started making their way down to the ring. Miz and Ciampa were ringside for the match and Lashley stared at them for a bit. Lashley went for a Suplex but AJ blocked it. Bobby sent Styles out of the ring and the referee started counting. Ciampa hopped up on the ring apron for a distraction as The Miz approached AJ Styles outside the ring. Dexter Lumis hopped over the barricadebut WWE security stopped him as RAW went to a break.

AJ hit the United States Champion with a Crossbody outside the ring when RAW returned from a commercial break. Back in the ring, AJ hit a sliding forearm to the face and then a Clothesline in the corner. Bobby threw AJ to the ring apron but the challenger responded with a kick to the knee. Styles followed it up with a forearm to the face for a near fall.

Bobby connected with a big Powerslam and went for the cover but AJ powered out at two. AJ battled back with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall. Lashley connected with a slam of his own and went for the cover but the challenger kicked out at two and the United States Championship match continued. Lashley lifted AJ up onto his shoulders and bounced his head off the ring post.

Back in the ring, Lashley geared up in the corner for the Spear. AJ countered with a knee to the face and then locked in the Calf Crusher in the middle of the ring. The champion escaped and went for the Hurt Lock but AJ brilliantly countered into a cover for a near fall. AJ went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Bobby dodged it and leveled Styles with the Spear for the pinfall victory. Bobby Lashley remains the United States Champion.

Dakota Kai def. Dana Brooke In Her Singles Match Debut

Dakota Kai battled 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke in a non-title match. It was Dakota’s first singles match on the main roster. Before the match, Dakota approached Dana backstage and warned her.

In the final hour of the show, Dakota Kai battled Dana Brooke with Bayley and IYO SKY ringside. The champion got in little offense before Kai sent her to the corner. Dakota hit the Kaio Kick for the submission victory. Dakota and IYO will battle Alexa and Asuka next week in the semifinals of the tag team tournament.

Theory def. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler battled Theory in the main event on RAW. The two Superstars brawled backstage early on the show. Theory sent Ziggler down to the mat and climbed to the top rope. Dolph hopped to the top turnbuckle and slammed Theory down face-first for a near fall as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Ziggler hit Theory with some elbows to the midsection. Dolph charged but Theory got out of the way and Ziggler crashed into the turnbuckle. Theory connected with a Dropkick and went for the cover but Dolph powered out at two. Theory launched Dolph into the ring post and paced around as the referee checked on him.

Ziggler hit a couple of Clotheslines and launched Theory to the corner. Dolph planted Theory with a Neckbreaker for a near fall. Theory responded with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Theory went for the Dropkick again but Dolph countered into the Fameasser for another near fall.

Theory and Ziggler traded punches in the middle of the ring. Theory got the better of the exchange and leveled Dolph with a massive Clothesline. The Money in the Bank winner went for A-Town Down but Ziggler escaped. Dolph connected with the Zig Zag and went for the cover but Theory was able to kick out at the last moment. Dolph went for a Superkick but Theory rolled up him up. Theory used the ropes for leverage but the referee caught him. Ziggler rolled up Theory for a near fall as well. Theory then hit the A-Town Down for the pinfall victory. He took a bunch of selfies in the ring to close the show.

GCW Homecoming Nights 1 + 2 & JCW After Hours Results (8/13-8/14)

This past weekend featured three GCW events. GCW presented Nights 1 and 2 of Homecoming 2022 from The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey on August 13 and 14. Jersey Championship Wrestling also held its After Hours 2 event on August 13 from Carousel Room At Showboat Hotel Atlantic City in Atlantic City, NJ.

Bryan Danielson Warned Daniel Garcia

Bryan Danielson kicked off the show to a great reaction from the crowd. Tony Schiavone interviewed Danielson and Bryan claimed that nothing makes him feel more alive than being in this ring. Bryan claimed that he will never stop wrestling and Daniel Garcia will not end his career next Wednesday on Dynamite.

Daniel Garcia interrupted and said that Danielson used to be his hero but now his hero is coming up with excuses. Daniel vowed to end Bryan’s career and referred to himself as the “greatest technical sports entertainer” on the planet.

Daniel shouted that he is sick of the sports entertainment bullsh*t and admitted that he wanted Daniel to be a part of the Blackpool Combat Club because of his wrestling technique. Bryan told Daniel to think about whether he wants to be the best sports entertainer or best wrestler in the world while he’s stomping his face in on Dynamite.

Sammy & Tay Retained The AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships

The recently married Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo (formerly known as Tay Conti) defended their AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships against Dante Martin and Skye Blue. Dante and Sammy started off the action and Guevara unloaded some chops to the chest. Skye tagged in and delivered a Crossbody to Tay for a near fall.

Sammy and Dante tagged back in and traded strikes. Dante leveled Sammy with a shoulder tackle and followed it up with a Dropkick. Dante hit a Suicide Dive and then a Canadian Destroyer for a two count. Tay planted Dante with a DDT as Skye hit Sammy with a Hurricanrana. Melo then connected with the Tay-KO on Skye for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Lucha Bros called out Andrade backstage. Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr. then announced PAC will join them to reform Death Triangle for the AEW Trios Championship Tournament.

Parker Boudreaux Dominated

Parker Boudreaux faced Sonny Kiss tonight on Rampage. Before the match, Ari Daivari whispered something in Sonny’s ear. Parker then proceeded to dominate the match and won in quick fashion with a slam.

Gunn Club def. Beardhausen

Erick Redbeard returned to AEW to team with Danhausen tonight on Rampage. Colten and Austin Gunn dominated early and isolated Danhausen in the ring. Redbeard got the tag and beat the hell out of the Gunn Club. Erick connected with a big boot and tagged Danhausen back into the match. Billy Gunn knocked Redbeard out of the ring and the Gunn Club capitalized with the Fameasser for the pinfall victory.

Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland were interviewed backstage. The AEW Tag Team Champions challenged Private Party to a match.

Zack Clayton Interrupted Hook

FTW Champion Hook made his way to the ring for an interview with Tony Schiavone. Hook said that he is always up for an Open Challenge. Zack Clayton (wrestler & reality TV star) interrupted and challenged the FTW Champion to a match. Hook dared him to get into the ring but Clayton wanted nothing to do with it. The FTW Championship match will happen next week on Rampage.

Orange Cassidy Picked Up A Win, Sonny Kiss Joined Trustbusters

Orange Cassidy battled Ari Daivari in tonight on AEW Rampage. Mark Henry interviewed both wrestlers before the Rampage main event. Trustbusters accompanied Daivari to the ring for the match. Best Friends were in Orange Cassidy’s corner for the main event.

Daivari offered Cassidy a spot in the Trustbusters after the bell rang. Orange laid in the ring and rolled around whenever Daivari approached him. Orange got out of the ring to share a hug with Best Friends. Back in the ring, Daivari slammed Cassidy to the mat for a two count.

Cassidy responded with a Dropkick but Ari shrugged it off. Ari hit Orange with a shoulder tackle and followed it up with a Neckbreaker. Ari then exited the ring and hugged Trustbusters as Rampage went to a commercial break.

When Rampage returned, Ari was in control and had Cassidy in a Sleeper Hold. Orange escaped with his hands in his pockets and connected with a Dropkick. Orange hopped up and got a pop from the crowd.

Cassidy went for the Orange Punch but Daivari was ready for it. Ari connected with a Uranage and went for the cover but Orange kicked out at the last moment. Cassidy ducked under a kick from Daivari and caught him with the Orange Punch for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Trustbusters rushed the ring and beat down Best Friends. Sonny Kiss has apparently accepted the offer and joined the faction. Sonny posed as Parker delivered a massive slam on Orange Cassidy to close the show.

WWE SmackDown Results (8/12/22): IC Title Match, Hit Row Returns, Ronda Rousey, Women’s Tournament

WWE SmackDown aired live this week from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Gunther defended the Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event.

Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah Advanced In The Women’s Tag Tournament

Shotzi & Xia Li battled Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah in the first round of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament. Raquel dominated the action early and sent Shotzi flying across the ring. Natalya and Sonya Deville were shown watching from ringside as Aliyah tagged in. Aliyah hit a Dropkick and went for the cover on Xia Li but Shotzi broke it up. The action spilled out of the ring and Aliyah hit a Crossbody onto Xia off the ring apron. Raquel and Shotzi then traded punches outside the ring as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Shotzi and Xia Li were in control and had Aliyah isolated in the corner of the ring. Aliyah battled back and booted Xia in the face. Rodriguez tagged in and got in some offense. Aliyah leveled Shotzi with a Blockbuster as Raquel connected with the Texana Bomb on Xia Li for the pinfall victory. Raquel and Aliyah advanced to the 2nd round of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament.

Karrion Kross Promo, The Usos Attack Drew McIntyre

Karrion Kross cut a backstage promo with Scarlett by his side. Kross said that they were cast out of paradise, but they wanted for the perfect time to strike with vengeance. Karrion added that everybody knows about The Bloodline, but in the end, everybody pays the toll. Kross then looked around the corner and stared at Drew McIntyre. Drew then made his entrance as SmackDown went to a break.

Drew McIntyre cut a promo and brought up Kross jumping him from behind last week on SmackDown. McIntyre noted that he plans to do horrible things to Kross, but noted that he made an impact by attacking the #1 contender and staring down the champion. He told Karrion that he will three options when they have a match, a knockout, a hospital, or the graveyard.

McIntyre announced that Roman Reigns is not here tonight and the crowd booed. Drew noted that it took the entire Bloodline and Paul Heyman to get the job done against Brock Lesnar. McIntyre boasted about his WrestleMania victory over Lesnar before Kross’ theme hit. Scarlett made her way to the ring as Drew smirked. The Usos then attacked Drew from behind as Scarlett watched on the ring apron. Jimmy and Jey hit McIntyre with the 1D and trash-talked with Scarlett to end the segment.

The Viking Raiders Were Ready For Kofi Kingston

Kofi Kingston tried to attack the Viking Raiders with a kendo stick once again this week but it backfired. Erik and Ivar used their shields to block the kendo stick strikes and beat down the former WWE Champion. Ivar launched Kofi in the air into Erik’s shield. Ivar climbed on top of the barricade and hit Kofi with a Splash.

Drew McIntyre Attacked The Usos

Sami Zayn knocked on Roman Reigns’ door once again and The Usos answered. Drew beat Jimmy and Jey down as Sami retreated. McIntyre vowed to beat The Usos’ asses every week if they keep getting involved.

Hit Row Returned

B-Fab accompanied Ashante The Adonis and AJ ‘Top Dolla’ Francis to the ring for a tag team match against two jobbers. Top Dolla hit a running knee strike in the corner as Ashante hit a slam. Hit Row hit a Dropkick/Suplex combo for the pinfall victory. Hit Row cut a brief promo following their win.

Ronda Rousey Interrupted The Contract Signing

Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler were set to have a contract signing for their SmackDown Women’s Championship match at Clash at the Castle. Suspended WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey showed up with a bag of money and said it was double the amount of her fine.

Ronda was about to attack security again but walked away. Shayna Baszler then confronted Ronda on the entrance ramp and told her that this isn’t how you get what you want. Rousey told Shayna that she used to be a killer and stormed off.

Baszler made her way to the ring and noted that she won the Gauntlet match last week and vowed to win the title at Clash at the Castle. Shayna signed the contract to make the match official on her end and asked Liv Morgan to come to the ring.

Liv came tot he ring and claimed that Shayna is a discount Ronda Rousey and signed the contract. Baszler took Liv down and stomped on her elbow. She went for another stomp but Liv dodged it. Liv then put Shayna through the table with a bulldog.

Drew McIntyre & Madcap Moss def. The Usos

Drew McIntyre and Madcap Moss battled the Undisputed Tag Team Champions tonight in a non-title match. Sami Zayn was ringside in his “The Bloodline” shirt for support. The match started off with The Usos versus McIntyre but Madcap rushed the ring to even the odds. Sami provided a distraction and The Usos looked for the 1D.

Madcap dragged Jey out of the ring and sent him over the barricade. Drew leveled Jimmy with the Claymore for the pinfall victory. After the match, Drew hit Jey with the Future Shock DDT and leveled Sami with another Claymore.

Backstage, Los Lotharios tried to join Maximum Male Models but Max Dupri said that they were not worthy. Los Lotharios decided to contract Maxxine Dupri.

Gunther Retained The Intercontinental Championship

Gunther defended the Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in the main event of tonight’s SmackDown. Ludwig Kaiser was in Gunther’s corner for the match. Nakamura targeted Gunther’s legs early with a flurry of kicks that hobbled the champion.

Shinsuke kept control and caught Gunther with an Enziguri to the side of the head for a near fall. When SmackDown returned from a break, Gunther caught Shinsuke with a big boot. The Intercontinental Champion climbed to the top turnbuckle and went for a Splash but the challenger got his knees up.

Gunther planted Shinsuke with a Suplex before unloading some knee strikes to his midsection. Shinsuke responded with a knee to the face and went for the cover but Gunther kicked out at two and the match continued.

Nakamura got distracted outside the ring by Ludwig and Gunther capitalized with a Dropkick. Gunther went for a Powerbomb but Shinsuke escaped and set up in the corner. Nakamura went for the Kinshasa but Gunther was ready for it. Gunther absolutely leveled the challenger with a Clothesline and went for the cover but somehow Shinsuke kicked out at two. Gunther caught Nakamura with another Dropkick and then a Powerbomb for the pinfall victory. Gunther remains the Intercontinental Champion.

  • Bryan Danielson’s interview with Tony Schiavone opens the show. Daniel Garcia interrupts and tells Danielson that Bryan is his hero. He cites Danielson’s history of injury, saying, “he retires, he returns, he retires, he returns.” Danielson says he’s tired of hearing about the Sports Entertainment bullshit. 
    • Danielson asks Garcia if he wants to be the best professional wrestler in the world? Danielson says he’ll leave that to Garcia and leaves the ring.
  • AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship: JAS (Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti) (c) def. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Skye Blue)
    • After the bell, Sammy tells them to cut his music off and says he accepts Eddie Kingston’s challenge for a match at All Out.

Darby Allin Won The Coffin Match

Darby Allin battled Brody King in a Coffin Match to begin the show. Allin attacked during Brody’s entrance and hit him with a bunch of punches. Darby bashed Brody over the back with his skateboard and revealed he had thumbtacks on the bottom of it. Allin busted Brody open right away and the big man rolled out of the ring. Allin chased after him and Brody sent him flying over the barricade. Brody broke the skateboard but turned around into a dive off the steps from Allin.

Allin slammed Brody into the steel steps and rolled him back into the ring. Darby climbed to the top turnbuckle but Brody grabbed him by the throat. Darby escaped and hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb off the middle turnbuckle. Allin rolled Brody out of the ring and started dragging him towards the coffin. Brody battled back and bashed Darby into the barricade several times before Allin crashed to the floor. Brody continued the beatdown outside the ring as Dynamite went to a commercial break.

When Dynamite returned, Brody went for a Splash off the top rope but Allin got out of the way and the big man crashed through a table. Darby set up for a dive but the lights in the arena went out. When they came back on, Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews were ringside. Julia Hart tripped up Allin from behind and Buddy planted Darby with a slam. Malakai held up Darby against a table and Brody hit him with a Cannonball.

Buddy Matthews opened the casket and it was revealed that Sting was in there waiting. The Icon hit Buddy with the baseball bat a couple of times before getting into the ring. Sting bashed Brody in the midsection and had a stare-down with Malakai Black. He gave Malakai the bat and dared him to swing. Malakai declined and exited the ring. Sting chased after him as Darby hit Brody with a dive. Brody sent Darby into the barricade and then lifted him onto his shoulders. King made his way to the ring apron but Darby escaped. Darby then choked Brody out with a chain and got him in the coffin to end the match.

Andrade & Rush Picked Up A Big Victory, Hangman Page Turned Down The Young Bucks

Andrade El Idolo & Rush battled Lucha Bros tonight in a Tornado tag team match on Dynamite. Rush launched Fenix into the turnbuckle and traded words with Pentagon Jr. Andrade tripped up Penta from outside the ring as Fenix caught Rush with a Suicide Dive. Rey followed it up with another one on Andrade on the entrance ramp.

Penta connected with a Powerbob for a near fall and tagged in Fenix. Rey climbed to the top rope but Andrade broke it up. Andrade hit a Dropkick on Fenix for a near fall. Andrade and Rush then flipped onto Lucha Bros on the entrance ramp. El Idolo brought Penta back into the ring and went for the cover but he kicked out at two.

Lucha Bros battled back and hit Rush with a double Superkick. Rey hit a Splash off of Pentagon Jr.’s shoulders in a cool spot. Lucha Bros knocked Andrade and Rey out of the ring with a couple of Superkicks before flipping onto them outside the ring. Fenix went for a Splash but Andrade got his knees up.

Rush caught Penta with a Dropkick and Andrade followed it up with Double Knees. Rush hit a Powerbomb but turned around into a Cutter from Pentagon Jr. Penta connected with a Destroyer on Andrade on the ring apron. He went to give a Piledriver to Rush but he blocked it. Rey climbed to the top turnbuckle and started to walk across the top rope but El Idolo tripped him up.

Rush delivered a knee to Penta’s face and Andrade hit a DDT for a two count. Rush tried Penta to the ropes and hit Fenix with a Dropkick. Rush went for the cover but Pentagon unmasked himself to break it up at two. Andrade grabbed the mask and threw it into the crowd as the two managers brawled. Rush hit another Dropkick on Fenix and Andrade took out Penta. El Idolo then planted Fenix with the Hammerlock DDT for the pinfall victory.

After the match, the Young Bucks approached Hangman Page backstage while he was with Dark Order. They asked him to be in there Trios team for the touranment but Hangman declined. Page said that he’s not going to be in the tournament at all. Young Bucks and their mystery partner will battle Andrade, Rush, and Dragon Lee next week in the first round of the Trios tournament.

Luchasaurus Hit Pat Buck, Jungle Boy Attacked Christian Cage

Luchasaurus defeated Anthony Henry tonight with ease as Jungle Boy joined commentary. Luchasaurus delivered a headbutt and then a slam for the pinfall victory. Christian Cage appeared on the jumbotron backstage to cut a promo and poked fun at the city. Jungle Boy rushed backstage and a brawl broke out. Security broke it up but Luchasaurus laid them all out. Pat Buck walked right into a punch from Luchasaurus to end the segment.

Wardlow & FTR

Satnam Singh, Jay Lethal, and Sonjay Dutt made their way to the ring for a promo. Wardlow defeated Jay Lethal at Battle of the Belts III this past Saturday to retain the TNT Championship.

Sonjay said that they are not done with Wardlow and wanted another title shot for Jay Lethal. Wardlow interrupted and told Jay that he already had his match and tonight he’s whooping all of their asses. FTR joined Wardlow and the heels retreated. Jay went to attack Wardlow from behind but FTR caught him with the Big Rig.

Ricky Starks Dominated

Ricky Starks battled Aaron Solo tonight on Dynamite. Starks hit a Jawbreaker and followed it up with a Tornado DDT. Starks set up for a move but Solo countered into a Hurricanrana. Starks quickly responded with a Spear for the pinfall victory. Nick Comoroto rushed the ring with a steel chair and Ricky planted him with a Spinebuster. Solo attacked from behind but Ricky was able to escape through the crowd as The Factory chased him. Powerhouse Hobbs was shown throwing a TV monitor to the floor backstage as Ricky celebrated in the crowd.

Jade Cargill Retained The TBS Championship

Jade Cargill defended the TBS Championship against Madison Rayne tonight on Dynamite. Stokely Hathaway and Kiera Hogan accompanied the champ to the ring. Jade patted Madison on the head before sending her to the corner. Jade went for a shoulder thrust but Madison dodged it and connected with a Dropkick that sent the TBS Champion out of the ring.

Jade got back in the ring and dominated the next few minutes of action. Cargill took a break to do some push-ups in the middle of the ring as the crowd chanted along. Jade lifted Madison above her shoulders and dropped her to the mat. The champion followed it up with a Splash in the corner and Madison fell to the canvas.

Rayne responded with a Neckbreaker and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Madison hit a Blockbuster off the middle turnbuckle but couldn’t keep the champion down. Rayne planted Jade with a DDT and went for the cover but she kicked out at two and the title match continued. Kiera Hogan hopped on the ring apron for a distraction but Jade accidentally booted her in the face.

Madison went for the Cross Rayne but Cargill countered into Jaded for the pinfall victory. Jade Cargill is now 36-0 and remains the TBS Champion. After the match, Athena attacked Jade from behind but Kiera got the champion out of the ring.

Tony Schiavone interviewed Toni Storm and AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa backstage. Toni is the #1 contender for the AEW Women’s Championship at the moment.

Bryan Danielson will have a promo Friday on Rampage and will battle Daniel Garcia in a 2 out of 3 Falls match next week on Dynamite.

Jon Moxley Retained, CM Punk Returned

Jon Moxley defended the Interim AEW Championship against Chris Jericho in tonight’s main event. William Regal joined commentary for the match. Chris vowed to wrestle as the Lionheart tonight and “stretch the sh*t out of Jon Moxley”.

Jericho and Moxley locked up in the middle of the ring to begin the action. Chris got the champion in a headlock in the middle of the ring. Jon escaped and the two circled each other. Jericho dominated and ripped out one of Moxley’s earrings. Jon was bleeding profusely and Chris elbowed him several times in the ear. Jericho dominated the next few minutes but couldn’t put the champion away as the blood poured down.

Jon hit a German Suplex but Jericho immediately responded with a Clothesline. Jericho perched Moxley up on the top rope and sent him down with a Hurricanrana for a near fall. Chris wrapped Jon’s leg around the ring post and applied a Figure Four. Back in the ring, Jericho went for the Judas Effect but Moxley was ready for it. Jon countered into a Crossface in the middle of the ring. Chris escaped and applied the Walls of Jericho.

Chris had Moxley in the Walls for a long time but he refused to quit. Moxley tried to escape but Chris booted him in the face a few times before locking in the Walls of Jericho once again. Moxley began to fade but somehow managed to get to the bottom rope to break the hold.

Moxley sent Jericho out of the ring and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Jon hit a Crossbody on the floor before bringing Chris back into the ring. Moxley made his way back to the top rope but leaped into a Codebreaker this time. Jericho went for the cover but Jon kicked out at the last moment.

Jericho got annoyed and started taking off the turnbuckle padding. He threw one out of the ring and Aubrey Edwards cartoonishly went out of the ring to get it. Sammy Guevara launched a tire iron into the ring for Jericho during the distraction from the crowd. He overshot Jericho and Chris had to go get it on the outside of the ring as referee Aubrey Edwards continued to be distracted by a turnbuckle pad somehow. Jericho bashed Moxley over the head but Moxley kicked out at two. Jon got Jericho in the Bulldog choke in the middle of the ring for the submission victory.

After the match, Jericho Appreciation Society rushed the ring before Blackpool Combat Club made the save. ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli unloaded some strikes along with Wheeler Yuta. Some more members of JAS ran to the ring to continue the brawl. AEW Champion CM Punk made his return and beat up JAS before punching Jericho in the face a couple of times. CM Punk Clotheslined Jericho out of the ring as the crowd erupted. CM Punk trash talked with JAS as they retreated.

The crowd broke out in a CM Punk chant as he stood in the ring with Jon Moxley. Jon turned around and stared at CM Punk. The Interim Champion gave the AEW Champion the middle finger before exiting the ring. Moxley celebrated with the Blackpool Combat Club as CM Punk hopped around to show his foot is fine to close the show.

WWE NXT 2.0 Results (8/9/22): Rounds Match, Stark vs. Jade

The August 9, 2022 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 aired live on the USA Network from Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center.

Zoey Stark competed against Cora Jade in preparation for her match with Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship at Heatwave on August 16. 

On the July 19th edition of NXT, Stark was victorious in a 20-woman battle royal to claim Rose’s title as the top challenger.

The match served as the main event. This was a fun back and forth match that saw Jade try to cheat with her weapon, but Roxanne Perez took it away. Stark hit her finisher for the win. 

Rounds match: Wes Lee vs. Trick Williams

Trick Williams competed against Wes Lee. Carmelo Hayes appears to be Lee’s likely opponent for the NXT North American championship, but Lee must first defeat Williams.

This was a boxing bout with hybrid rules as there was a takedown. This was the closest thing to Brawl for All on WWE television in years. Williams got the first pinfall after kicking the man in the face. They took off the boxing gloves and then it turned into more of a match. Lee went over after knocking him out.

Post-match, Carmelo Hayes cut a promo about how he will remain North American Champion no matter who steps up. Gionvani Vinci confronted him and challenged him to a match at Heatwave. Hayes accepted and said he will put him on a t-shirt and it won’t be designer. They brawled before being separated. 

Nikkita Lyons vs. Kiana James

Nikkita Lyons competed against Kiana James. Last week, the two exchanged backstage promos with one another.

The match opened the show. Lyons went over in the short match with her finisher. Post-match, James laid her out with a steel chair. 

Tony D’Angelo & Santos Escobar final accord

Tony D’Angelo and Santos Escobar appeared in a “final accord” segment. On last week’s program, Escobar made a comeback and denied D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo the opportunity to win the NXT Tag Team titles.

They met in a park at night and had a sit down. Santos said last week was just business. Tony said he told Santos to stay in his lane and reminded Santos that he works for him. Santos reminded him that he’s not a champion. Santos said this arrangement was never going to work. Tony wants him to go back to work for him. Santos challenged him to a match at Heatwave and if Santos loses then he will leave NXT for good, but if he wins then they get their freedom. Tony wanted a street fight. 

WWE RAW Results (8/8/22): US Title Match, Kevin Owens Returns, Women’s Tournament, Dexter Lumis?

WWE RAW aired lived this week from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The tournament for the vacant Women’s Tag Team Championship began tonight. Kevin Owens returned and The Miz battled AJ Styles in a No DQ match in the main event.

6-Woman Tag Team Match Set For Clash at the Castle

Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky kicked off the show and made their way to the ring. Bayley said “ding dong” and wondered why the fans weren’t happy to see her. She claimed that they are here to shake up the women’s division and poked fun at Becky Lynch. Bayley claimed that fans were tired of seeing Bianca Belair as the RAW Women’s Champion and that she is the only one who saw the potential in Kai and SKY.

Alexa Bliss and Asuka interrupted and were then followed by RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Alexa told Sky and Kai that they aren’t winning the women’s tag title tournament because they have to face them. Belair wanted a fight and Bayley agreed, before saying not tonight in Cleveland. Bayley, Kai, and SKY versus Belair, Bliss, and Asuka was then set for Clash at the Castle.

Tamina & Dana Brooke versus Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky in the tag team tournament for the vacant Women’s Tag Team Championships was announced for later tonight

Seth Rollins def. Angelo Dawkins With The Pedigree

Seth Rollins battled Angelo Dawkins in the first match of the night. Montez Ford was ringside for the match and provided a distraction early. Dawkins capitalized and launched Seth into the barricade as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, Rollins got under Montez’s skin and he tried to bring a chair into the ring. The referee stopped him and kicked Montez out from ringside. Seth laughed in the ring for a bit and allowed Dawkins to get up. Angelo Clotheslined Seth out of the ring and flipped onto him.

Back in the ring, Dawkins hit a slam and followed it up with a Corkscrew Splash in the corner. Angelo hit the Silencer and went for the cover but Rollins kicked out at two. Seth went for The Stomp but Dawkins countered into a Spinebuster for a near fall. Angelo avoided The Stomp again but Rollins caught him with The Pedigree for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Seth delivered The Stomp to Dawkins and retreated as Ford rushed the ring. Rollins cackled on the entrance ramp to end the segment.

Dominik Didn’t Accept Edge’s Apology, Ciampa Vows To Win US Title In Honor Of Harley Race

Edge approached The Mysterios backstage and apologized to Dominik for accidentally hitting him with a Spear. Dominik didn’t accept the apology and shoved The Rated-R Superstar. Rey told Edge he will go talk to his son after the altercation. Edge added that he has Rey’s back if anything goes down with The Judgement Day during Rey’s match against Finn Balor later on RAW.

Kevin Patrick then interviewed The Miz and Ciampa backstage. Ciampa said he was going to devote his United States Championship win over Bobby Lashley tonight to Harley Race.

Kevin Owens Returned

Kevin Owens returned to battle Ezekiel tonight on WWE RAW. KO went right after Ezekiel and slammed him into the ring post. Owens hit Ezekiel with a Pop-Up Powerbomb on the ring apron and then laughed as Ezekiel was stretchered out.

KO was later interviewed in a Dusty Rhodes shirt in the parking lot. Owens said tonight was a perfect opportunity to remind everyone that this is still the Kevin Owens show.

Finn Balor def. Rey Mysterio

Finn Balor and Damian Priest came down to the ring. They cut a promo as the crowd relentlessly chanted “what?!”. Damian Priest then said Judgement Day will end Edge, not the other way around and challenged him to a match in two weeks on RAW. The red brand will be in Edge’s hometown of Toronto for the show. Rey had another conversation with Edge backstage. He offered to be ringside but Rey declined and said he knows Dominik will be out there tonight.

Balor sent Rey to the corner and unloaded some strikes to start off the action. Rey battled back and bounced Balor’s face off the turnbuckle a few times. Mysterio connected with a Senton off the top rope and then a Dropkick to the face for a two count. Rey connected with a Bulldog for a near fall and then set up for the 619. Damian Priest got in the way and Balor capitalized by sending Rey into the ring post as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Rey knocked Balor out of the ring and hit him with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb into the barricade. Damian tripped up Rey on the ring apron and Edge’s theme hit. Edge rushed the ring and attacked Damian. Edge and Damian battled through the crowd as Balor had a shocked look on his face in the ring.

Rey hit another Sunset Flip Powerbomb for a two count. Mysterio set up for the 619 but Finn countered with a Clothesline. Finn followed it up with a Dropkick and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Rey dodged the Coup de Grace and hit a Hurricanrana. Rey was about to hit the 619 when Rhea Ripley appeared on the entrance ramp carrying Dominik over her shoulder. Rey shoved Dominik down to the ramp and Balor capitalized with the 1916 on Mysterio. Balor followed it up with the Coup de Grace for the pinfall victory.

Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai Advanced To The 2nd Round Of The Women’s Tag Team Tournament

Dana Brook & Tamina battled IYO SKY & Dakota Kai to begin the tournament for the vacant Women’s Tag Team Championships. Bayley accompanied Kai & Sky to the ring. Dana slammed Dakota down to the mat to start off the action and went for the cover but Kai kicked out at two.

When RAW returned from a commercial break, Sky and Kai had Dana Brooke isolated in the corner of the ring. Dakota applied a headlock but Dana battled to her feet and broke the hold. Dana rolled Dakota up but she was able to kick out at the last moment.

Iyo and Tamina tagged in and Tamina slammed Sky to the canvas. Tamina followed it up with a Clothesline before knocking Dakota off the ring apron. Tamina hit Iyo with a flurry of elbow strikes in the corner before the two superstars traded punches in the middle of the ring. Tamina connected with a Samoan Drop and went for the cover but Kai broke it up at two. Dana Brooke dragged Dakota out of the ring and sent her into the barricade.

Dana went for a Splash but Bayley got Dakota out of the way. Tamina headbutted Iyo off the turnbuckle and to the mat before climbing to the top rope. She went for a Splash but Iyo got her knees up. Kai hit the running kick in the corner and Iyo followed it up with a Moonsault for the pinfall victory. Iyo and Dakota advanced to the 2nd round of the Women’s Tag Team Tournament.

Bobby Lashley Retained The US Title Via Submission

Bobby Lashley defended the United States Championship against Ciampa tonight on RAW. The Miz accompanied Ciampa and was ringside for the match. Bobby controlled the action early and planted Ciampa with a Suplex. The champion beat the challenger down in the corner of the ring and unloaded some punches to the face.

Ciampa rolled out of the ring and regrouped with The Miz. Lashley followed Ciampa out of the ring and went to bash him into the ring post but The Miz got into the way. Bobby launched Ciampa onto The Miz and posed for the crowd as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Lashley hit another Suplex for a two count. Ciampa attempted to battle back but the champion caught him with a Spear. Lashley went for the cover but The Miz put Ciampa’s boot on the rope. AJ Styles showed up and attacked The Miz. Styles and The Miz battled through the crowd as the match continued. Ciampa went for a roll-up but Lashley kicked out. Ciampa took off the turnbuckle pad to expose the metal below but Bobby caught him with a slam.

Styles and The Miz then ran back into the ring and caused a distraction. Ciampa bashed Bobby’s face into the exposed turnbuckle and followed it up with a Dropkick but Lashley somehow kicked out at two. Ciampa went for the Fairy Tale Ending but Lashley escaped.

Bobby went for the Hurt Lock but Ciampa countered into a Crossface in the middle of the ring. Lashley escaped but Ciampa planted him with a DDT for another two count. Bobby then got Ciampa in the Hurt Lock for the submission victory and retained the United States Championship. Styles and The Miz continued to brawl backstage until they were separated. AJ Styles versus The Miz in a No Disqualification match was announced for the main event tonight.

Omos Dominated

Omos returned to WWE TV and battled enhancement talent in a Handicap match. Omos dominated and threw the jobbers around with ease. Omos hit a big Splash in the corner and then a big boot. He pounded his chest, yelled, and hit a Choke Bomb for the pinfall victory.

Dolph Ziggler def. Chad Gable

Dolph Ziggler squared off against Chad Gable tonight on RAW. The action started back and forth as Otis watched on from ringside. Gable planted Dolph with a Northern Lights Suplex and shooshed the crowd. Chad followed it up with an awesome-looking Dragon Screw for a two count.

Gable applied an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring but Ziggler was able to escape. Dolph went for the Zig Zag but Gable countered into the Ankle Lock once again. Dolph escaped and went for a Superkick but Gable blocked it.

Chad hit a Powerbomb for a two count before applying the Ankle Lock for a third time. Dolph hit a Superkick and fell on top of Gable for the pinfall victory. Otis tried to attack after the match but Dolph got out of the ring in time.

AJ Styles def. The Miz, Dexter Lumis Return?

AJ Styles battled The Miz in a No Disqualifications match. Before the match, Asuka and Alexa were interviewed backstage. Bayley, Kai, and Sky confronted them as something was going on in the parking lot behind them.

The action spilled out of the ring right away and Styles cleared off the announce table. Miz battled back and rolled into the ring. Styles grabbed a kendo stick, a steel chair, and a table from under the ring. The camera cut away just as Miz hit Styles with a Dropkick through the ropes. Miz rolled Styles into the ring and brought the chair and kendo stick with him.

The Miz bashed Styles across the back with the kendo stick and threw him to the outside. Miz launched Styles off of the announce table and over the barricade as RAW went to the final commercial break of the night.

When RAW returned, AJ was in control and set up a table outside the ring. The Miz hit Styles with the kendo stick over and over again as the crowd booed. Miz choked AJ with the kendo stick in the middle of the ring before AJ ripped it away. Styles hit Miz with a low blow with the kendo stick and followed it up with a Russin Leg Sweep.

AJ hit the Phenomenal Forearm and went for the cover but Ciampa pulled the referee out of the ring. Ciampa tried to Suplex AJ through the table but Styles held onto the ropes. Styles hit Ciampa with a forearm to the face and he crashed through the table. Styles set up for another Phenomenal Forearm but Miz launched a chair at him.

The Miz quickly hit the Skull Crushing Finale and went for the cover but AJ kicked out at two. The Miz grabbed the kendo stick and hit Styles several more times. AJ sent Miz into a steel chair in the corner and then planted him with the Skull Crushing Finale for the pinfall victory. In the background, Dexter Lumis appeared to be escorted out of the arena.

AEW Battle of the Belts III Results (8/6/22): Three Championship Matches

AEW Battle of the Belts airs tonight on TNT. The show was taped after last night’s live episode of Rampage and featured three title matches.

Wardlow Retained The TNT Championship, Satnam Singh Attacked After The Match

Wardlow defended the TNT Championship against Jay Lethal in the first match of the night. Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt accompanied the challenger to the ring. The champion dominated early and knocked Jay out of the ring to begin the action. Wardlow followed Jay out of the ring and got distracted by Satnam and Sonjay.

Jay capitalized and brought the champion back into the ring. Lethal connected with an Enziguri but the TNT Champion responded with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker for a near fall. Wardlow lifted Jay up on his shoulders but he escaped. Lethal hit a couple of Dropkicks but Wardlow didn’t go down.

Lethal pretended to be injured and tried to roll up Wardlow but the champ kicked out. Jay knocked Wardlow out of the ring and caught him with a Suicide Dive. Jay then did a strut on the entrance ramp to mock the crowd as Battle of the Belts went to a commercial break.

When Battle of the Belts returned, Wardlow battled back and hit Jay with a Powerbomb for the pinfall victory to retain the TNT Championship. After the match, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh attacked the champion from behind. Satnam put his gigantic boot on Wardlow’s chest and Jay stomped on him. The TNT Champion tried to battle back but Jay put a stop to it. Satnam then Chokeslammed Wardlow through a table and Jay posed with the TNT Championship as if he won the match.

Thunder Rosa Retained The AEW Women’s Title

Thunder Rosa defended the AEW Women’s Championship against Jamie Hayter tonight at Battle of the Belts III. Britt Baker and Toni Storm were ringside for the title match. Hayter attacked right when the bell rang and stomped the champion down to the mat in the corner of the ring.

The action spilled out of the ring and the AEW Women’s Champion hit a DDT on the floor. Jamie slammed Thunder Rosa onto the steel steps and Britt Baker taunted the champion as Battle of the Belts went to a commercial break.

When Battle of the Belts returned, Thunder Rosa hit a Blockbuster off the ring apron and rolled Jamie back into the ring. Hayter connected with a Suplex and went for the cover but Rosa kicked out at two. Toni Storm planted Britt Baker with a DDT outside the ring as Thunder Rosa rolled up Hayter for the pinfall victory. Thunder Rosa retained the AEW Women’s Championship.

Claudio Castagnoli Retained The ROH Championship

Claudio Castagnoli defended the ROH Championship against Konosuke Takeshita in the main event of Battle of the Belts III. William Regal and Wheeler Yuta accompanied Claudio during his entrance and the ROH Champion got a great reaction from the crowd. Regal joined commentary for the main event.

Castagnoli and Takeshita went back and forth to start off the match before circling each other. The champ and challenger locked up in the middle fo the ring and Claudio got the better of it. Claudio took Konosuke down to the mat and applied a Headlock.

Konosuke battled back to his feet but Claudio got him back in the Headlock before transitioning to a Wrist Lock in the middle of the ring. Claudio kept Konosuke grounded before sending him flying across the ring in a great sequence.

Claudio hit a Backbreaker and followed it up with a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker for a two count. Back from a break, Konosuke hit a Crossbody that knocked the champion down in the middle of the ring. Claudio rolled out of the ring to try and regroup but Konosuke flipped onto him.

Back in the ring, Konosuke climbed to the top turnbuckle but Claudio broke it up. Castagnoli hit a Gutwrench Suplex off the top rope for a near fall. The ROH Champion followed it up with the Swing for another two count. Konosuke responded with a Blue Thunder Bomb and went for the cover but the champion kicked out at two.

Claudio and Konosuke battled in the corner of the ring. Claudio hit some strikes to the face but Takeshita shrugged them off. Konosuke bashed Claudio’s face off the turnbuckle and followed it up with a Frog Splash for a near fall. Castagnoli booted Takeshita in the face several times but it just fired up the challenger.

Castagnoli unloaded some uppercuts but Konosuke responded with a German Suplex. Claudio rolled through and leveled Konosuke. Takeshita planted Claudio with a Brainbuster and went for the cover but the champion kicked out at two. Castagnoli went for the Ricola Bomb but Takeshita awesomely countered into a roll-up for the pinfall victory.

Konosuke went for a Powerbomb but Claudio countered into a Back Body Drop. Castagnoli and Takeshita traded punches in the middle of the ring. Claudio hit a springboard uppercut and followed it up with a Clothesline. Castagnoli then planted Konosuke with the Ricola Bomb for the pinfall victory and retained the ROH Championship.

AEW Rampage Results (8/5/22): Jon Moxley vs. Mance Warner, Madison Rayne Debut, Street Fight

AEW Rampage aired live tonight from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. AEW Interim Champion Jon Moxley was in action tonight against Mance Warner. AEW Tag Team Champions Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland battled Tony Nese & Josh Woods in a Street Fight in this week’s main event.

Interim AEW Champion Jon Moxley faced Mance Warner in the first match on Rampge. Mance would earn a title shot if he won the match. The action started off back and forth. Mance got Moxley in a Figure Four in the middle of the ring as Rampage went to a commercial break.

When Rampage returned, Moxley escaped but Warner hit him with a chop block to the back of the knee. Jon was busted open because of course he was. Moxley kept battling and planted Mance with a Piledriver in the middle of the ring. Jon then applied the Bulldog choke until Warner passed out.

Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth

QT Marshall and The Factory offered Ricky Starks protection backstage but he declined their offer by telling the group to kiss his ass. Konosuke Takeshita then battled Ryan Nemeth in a singles match. The crowd was behind Konosuke and he dominated early.

Peter Avalon interfered and Ryan capitalized. Nemeth went for a Neckbreaker but Konosuke countered into a Powerbomb. Takeshita followed it up with the running knee strike for the pinfall victory. After the match, Avalon tried to attack but Konosuke disposed of him with ease.

Madison Rayne def. Leila Grey

Best Friends and Orange Cassidy teased that they are going to be in the Trios Tournament backstage. Madison made her AEW debut against Leila Grey tonight on Rampage. The action started off back and forth before Madison took control.

Madison connected with a series of Arm Drags before Stokely Hathaway showed up. Stokely distracted Madison and Leila capitalized and knocked Rayne to the floor as Rampage went to a commercial break.

When Rampage returned, Leila was still in control and hit a slam for a near fall. Grey went for a Facebuster but Madison was able to block it. Madison then connected with the CrossRayne for the pinfall victory.

After the match, TBS Champion Jade Cargill interrupted and invited Madison Rayne to accept her Open Challenge for next week on Dynamite. Kiera Hogan tried to sneak attack from behind but Madison was ready for it. Madison planted Hogan with the CrossRayne to end the segment.

Swerve In Our Glory Won The Tag Team Street Fight

AEW Tag Team Champions Swerve in our Glory (Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee) battled Tony Nese and Josh Woods in a tag team Street Fight in tonight’s main event. Mark Henry interviewed both teams before the match.

The Street Fight started off in chaos with everyone battling outside the ring. Josh Woods attacked Keith Lee last week but the big man beat him down to start off tonight’s main event. Tony Nese threw protein power at the AEW Tag Team Champions’ faces. Swerve charged but Nese got out of the way and Strickland crashed into the steel steps ringside. Josh bashed Swerve into the steel steps again as Rampage went to the final commercial break of the night.

Back from the break, Nese brought a couple of trash cans into the ring. Nese put a can in the corner of the ring and sent Swerve onto it with a Suplex. Tony set up a table outside the ring and tried to put Swerve through it but the champion blocked it.

Nese and Woods beat Strickland down and tried to Powerbomb him through the table but Strickland once again was able to escape. Keith Lee brought Woods off the apron and hit him with a Clothesline. Lee followed it up with a big shoulder tackle on Tony Nese.

Keith bounced off the ropes but Mark Sterling bashed him over the back with a steel chair. Lee got distracted with Sterling and Nese & Woods capitalized. They planted Keith with a double DDT and went for the cover but Strickland broke it up at the last moment with an awesome 450 Splash off the top rope.

Mark Sterling brought a table into the ring and Nese set it up. Sterling then bashed Swerve over the head with a wrench as Keith Lee leveled Nese with a headbutt. Woods and Lee then battled on the ring apron near the table. Josh went for a German Suplex but Lee held onto the ropes.

Nese then caught Keith with a Superkick to the face and he let go of the ropes and Woods hit the German Suplex through the table. Back in the ring, Strickland and Nese battled in the corner. Swerve got the better of the exchange and connected with the Double Stomp for the pinfall victory. The AEW Tag Team Champions celebrated to end this week’s Rampage.

WWE SmackDown Results (8/5/22): Karrion Kross Returns, Roman Reigns & Drew McIntyre

Ricochet def. Happy Corbin, Sami Zayn Tried To Talk To Roman Reigns

The Bloodline arrived at the arena to begin the show. Pat McAfee rolled highlights of his low blow and victory over Happy Corbin at SummerSlam. Pat played the clip of him booting Corbin in the nuts several times. Happy Corbin was mocked backstage by Ricochet and he challenged him to a match.

Happy launched Ricochet to the corner to start off the action. Ricochet responded with a Dropkick that knocked Corbin out of the ring. Ricochet flipped onto Corbin on the entrance ramp and fired up the crowd. Corbin rolled back into the ring and Ricochet went for a Crossbody.

Corbin dodged it and leveled Ricochet with a massive Clothesline. The action spilled out of the ring and Happy launched Ricochet into the ring post as SmackDown went to a commercial break.

When SmackDown returned, Corbin connected with a Back Body Drop and went for the cover but Ricochet kicked out at two. Ricochet battled back with a standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall. Happy connected with a slam for a two count and pounded the canvas in frustration.

Corbin grabbed Ricochet by throat but he escaped into a Hurricanrana for a near fall. Ricochet booted Corbin in the face before running into a Deep Six for a two count. Corbin and Ricochet then battled on the turnbuckle. Corbin threw Ricochet down but got distracted by Pat McAfee. Ricochet capitalized by crotching Corbin on the top turnbuckle and hitting him with the Recoil. Ricochet followed it up with a Shooting Star Press off the top rope for the pinfall victory as Pat McAfee celebrated. They played catch with a football before Pat punted it into the crowd.

Sami Zayn knocked on Roman Reigns’ door and wanted to talk to him. The Usos stopped Sami and told him that they will shoot him a text when he can talk to The Tribal Chief. This went on for the entire night with The Usos making excuses as to why Roman cant talk to him. Finally, Jey Uso shouted at Sami that everyone in The Bloodline has titles besides him and it’s time for Sami to start pulling his weight.

Shinsuke Nakamura def. Ludwig Kaiser To Become #1 Contender For The IC Title

Shinsuke Nakamura battled Ludwig Kaiser tonight. Nakamura would earn a match against Gunther for the IC Title if he won. Nakamura controlled the action early but Ludwig responded with a slam as SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, Nakamura was in control and set up for the Kinshasa.

Ludwig was ready and leveled Shinsuke with an uppercut and followed it up with a Neckbreaker for a near fall. Shinsuke responded with the Kinshasa for the pinfall victory. Nakamura is now the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship and will battle Gunther next week.

Liv Morgan Booed, Shayna Baszler Won The Gauntlet Match

Liv Morgan came to the ring with her arm in a brace and the crowd surprisingly booed the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Sonya Deville interrupted and the two trash-talked until the Gauntlet Match started. Deville and Aliyah started off the action. Sonya picked up the quick pin and battled Raquel Rodriguez next.

Deville connected with a Facebuster for a two count. Rodriguez defeated Sonya Deville and faced Shotzi next in the Gauntlet Match. Shotzi got in some offense early as SmackDown went to a break. When SmackDown returned, Raquel defeated Shotzi and battled Xia Li next.

Xia hit Raquel with some kicks and then a Dropkick to the face. Rodriguez responded with a big Fallaway Slam that sent Li across the ring. Raquel followed it up with a Splash and the Texana Bomb for the pinfall victory.

Natalya and Raquel squared off next in the Gauntlet Match. Natalya tackled Raquel to the mat and went for the Sharpshooter but Rodriguez blocked it. Rodriguez connected with a Suplex for a two count before Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Rodriguez showed off her strength with a massive Powerbomb to eliminate Natalya.

Shayna Baszler and Raquel Rodriguez then battled in the Gauntlet Match. Shayna had Raquel in a Heel Hook in the middle of the ring as Liv Morgan watched on from ringside. Baszler applied the Kirifuda Clutch and then got Raquel in a cover when she tried to escape. Liv will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle.

Viking Raiders Dominated, Kofi def. Erik

Viking Raiders won a squash match against two enhancement talents tonight on SmackDown. Ivar unloaded a ton of elbows to the face and tagged in Erik. He hit a Splash in the corner before hitting a slam. Ivar tagged back in and climbed to the middle turnbuckle for a massive Powerslam. Viking Raiders followed it up with a Powerbomb for the pinfall victory. Kofi Kingston then rushed the ring with a kendo stick and attacked the Viking Raiders. Kofi got in a bunch of shots and knocked Erik out of the ring. Kofi then battled Erik in a quick singles match and won via a roll-up.

Karrion Kross Returned

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns made his way to the ring with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos to close the show. Roman asked the crowd to acknowledge him before addressing Brock Lesnar. Reigns said he respects him but hates him for what he did to Paul Heyman at SummerSlam.

Drew McIntyre interrupted and looked like he wanted a fight. The lights went out and a crow appeared on the screen. Scarlett arrived and Karrion Kross attacked Drew McIntyre from behind. Scarlett put the hourglass in front of Reigns to close the show.

AEW Dynamite Results (8/3/22): Chris Jericho & Jon Moxley, ThunderStorm, Dumpster Match

AEW Dynamite aired live from the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio. Wheeler Yuta battled Chris Jericho tonight. The winner of the match will face AEW Interim Champion Jon Moxley next week at AEW Dynamite Quake by the Lake.

Orange Cassidy battled Jay Lethal to begin this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh accompanied Jay to the ring. Orange started off the match in control and put his hands in his pockets as the crowd cheered. Jay went for a Clothesline but Orange ducked and connected with a Dropkick. Cassidy posed in the ring before hitting Jay with a Suicide Dive through the ropes. Orange delivered some of his lazy kicks to Jay as he crawled up the entrance ramp.

Satnam Singh distracted Orange and Jay capitalized with some strikes. Best Friends then comically arrived on top of each other to have a face-to-face with Satnam. The action returned to the ring and Jay slammed Cassidy’s knee into the steel steps. Lethal trapped Cassidy’s knee in the steps and hit a Dropkick as Dynamite went to a commercial break.

When Dynamite returned, Lethal was still in control of the match and was focusing his attack on the injured knee. Cassidy battled back and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Lethal tripped him up and sent Orange down to the mat. Jay locked in a Figure Four on Orange in the middle of the ring but Cassidy got to the bottom rope to break the hold.

Jay went for a Suplex but Cassidy countered into the Stundog Millionaire. Cassidy went for a Tornado DDT but Jay countered into one of his own for a near fall. Lethal climbed to the top turnbuckle but Orange slowly rolled to the opposite corner. Orange sent Jay into the turnbuckle and delivered an uppercut.

Cassidy hopped to the middle turnbuckle but Jay caught him with a chop to the chest. Orange and Jay traded punches and Cassidy got the better of the exchange. Orange then hit the diving DDT off the top rope and followed it up with a Tornado DDT for a near fall. Cassidy went for the Orange Punch but his knee gave out.

Lethal laughed at Orange before setting up for a move. Orange countered into Beach Break out of nowhere and went for the cover but Jay was able to kick out at two. Cassidy geared up in the corner and went for the Orange Punch but Jay was ready. Jay hit Cassidy with a boot to the knee and followed it up with Lethal Injection for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Sonjay, Jay, and Satnam went to attack Cassidy but Best Friends rushed the ring. TNT Champion Wardlow joined the party but the heels retreated. It was announced that Wardlow will defend the TNT Championship against Jay Lethal at Battle of the Belts this Saturday.

Hangman Page Helped The Young Bucks

Adam Cole returned alongside Kyle O’Reilly, Bobby Fish, The Young Bucks, and Brandon Cutler. Cole said he’s a great leader and brought up the Trios tournament. Adam claimed that The Young Bucks won’t be physically capable of being in the tournament before O’Reilly and Fish attacked them from behind. Hangman Adam Page showed up and helped the Young Bucks to end the segment.

Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter def. ThunderStorm, Eddie Kingston Challenges Sammy Guevara

AEW Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm (ThunderStorm) battled Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter tonight on Dynamite. Rebel accompanied Baker & Hayter to the ring. Baker went for the Lockjaw early but Thunder Rosa escaped and countered into a slam.

Jamie tagged in and Thunder Rosa greeted her with a Clothesline. ThunderStorm took control of the match and isolated Hayter in the corner. Rosa hit some chops and followed it up with a kick to her back for a two count. Baker and Hayter eventually battled back and trapped the champion in the corner of the ring.

When Dynamite returned from a break, Storm hit a Crossbody on Hayter and then planted Baker with a DDT on the floor. Toni climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit Jamie with another Crossbody. Toni followed it up with an Alabama Slam but Hayter kicked out at two.

Thunder Rosa tagged in and they went for a double Suplex but Jamie countered and sent them both to the mat. Baker tagged in and Thunder Rosa hit her with a Death Valley Driver. Storm tagged in and climbed to the top rope but Britt escaped. Rebel distracted Toni and Baker capitalized with a punch. Britt hit an Air Raid Crash off the top rope and tagged in Hayter. Jamie hit a big Clothesline and Britt followed it up with a Stomp. Jamie went for the cover but Rosa broke it up at the last moment.

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa got in each other’s face and started trading strikes. Britt went for a Neckbreaker but Rosa blocked it. Britt hit Thunder Rosa with an Air Raid Crash but Toni slammed her down. Hayter hit Storm with a Codebreaker and all four wrestlers were down. Toni hit a series of Hip Attacks but Baker pulled Thunder Rosa in the way. Toni accidentally hit her tag partner and then turned around into a big lariat from Hayter for the pinfall victory.

Eddie Kingston cut a backstage promo and challenged Sammy Guevara to a match at AEW All Out.

Powerhouse Hobbs Dominated & Got The Better Of Ricky Starks

Powerhouse Hobbs made his way to the ring for a singles match. Hobbs betrayed Ricky Starks last week and attacked him after he lost the FTW Championship to Hook. Hobbs dominated Ren Jones for the easy pinfall victory after connecting with a Running Powerslam. Hobbs followed it up with a Clothesline and pinned Ren by kneeling on him. After the match, Ricky Starks sprinted down to the ring and shoved the referee out of the way. Hobbs planted Ricky with a Spinebuster and stood tall to end the segment.

Christian Cage def. Matt Hardy & Avoided Jungle Boy

Matt Hardy battled Christian Cage to begin the 2nd hour of Dynamite. Jungle Boy tried to attack Cage in the parking lot earlier on the show but security stopped him. Matt started off the action in control and beat Christian down in the corner of the ring. Cage battled back and unloaded several punches to Matt’s face. Matt battled back and connected with a slam for a near fall and Christian rolled out of the ring to regroup.

Hardy followed him out there but Cage shoved him into the steel steps. Christian then delivered a running knee strike to Matt’s head against the steel steps and rolled back into the ring as Dynamite went to a commercial break.

When Dynamite returned, Matt planted Christian with a Superplex and went for the cover but Cage kicked out at two. Matt followed it up with a Back Body Drop and some punches to the face in the corner of the ring. Cage booted Matt in the face and started climbing to the top rope. Matt hit him with a Back Body Drop off the top rope and followed it up with an Elbow Drop for a near fall.

Cage sent Matt to the canvas and hit a diving Headbutt of the top turnbuckle for a two count. He choked Matt against the turnbuckle and went for a Clothesline but Hardy countered into a Side Effect for a two count. Matt delivered another Side Effect on the ring apron before setting up a table ringside. Matt went for an Elbow Drop but Christian got out of the way and Hardy went crashing through the table. Back in the ring, Christian planted Matt with the Killswitch for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Christian exited the ring but stopped at the bottom of the entrance ramp. Cage brought in a couple of steel chairs into the ring and set up for the con-chair-to. Luchasaurus’ theme hit and the big man marched down the entrance ramp. Jungle Boy tried to sneak attack but Christian was ready and escaped through the crowd.

Stokely Hathaway Gave Ethan Page His Business Card

Ethan Page cut a promo tonight on Dynamite and complained about not being on TV every week. Ethan wondered why he doesn’t have an action figure as Stokely Hathaway made his way to the ring.

Page went on a rant about how the fans don’t have his back and buy Orange Cassidy merchandise. Stokely asked the microphone and shouted “what are you doing?!” before whispering something in Ethan’s ear. Stokely then handed Ethan his business card and exited the ring. Ethan Page then followed him to end the segment.

The Acclaimed Won The Dumpster Match

The Acclaimed battled Gunn Club in a Dumpster match. Before the match, Max Caster and Anthony Bowens attacked Billy Gunn on the ramp and slammed him into the dumpster. Caster then did his rap before the match began. Bowens planted Austin and Colten Gunn with a Suplex on the entrance ramp and the match officially started.

Gunn Club isolated Bowens and tried to get him in the dumpster but Caster broke it up. Gunn Club Powerbombed Bowens into the dumpster and then sent Caster in. The Acclaimed blocked Gunn Club from shutting the lid as Dynamite went to a break.

When Dynamite returned, Gunn Club launched Bowens off the dumpster and onto some trash cans below. Colten delivered a Neckbreaker to Bowens on the entrance ramp. Austin Gunn climbed on top of the entrance tunnel but Caster snuck up behind him. Max shoved him down as Colten was put on a table below. Caster hit the Mic Drop through the table and then The Acclaimed put Gunn Club in the dumpster to win. After the match, The Acclaimed shoved the dumpster off the entrance ramp.

Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho Is Set For Next Week

Wheeler Yuta battled Chris Jericho in tonight’s main event. The winner of the match will face Jon Moxley next week at Dynamite Quake at the Lake for the Interim AEW Championship. Before the match, Moxley versus Vance Warner, Madison Rayne debut, and Swerve in our Glory versus Tony Nese & Josh Woods was announced for Rampage this Friday. Daddy Magic and Cool Hand Ange accompanied Jericho to the ring. ROH Claudio Castagnoli showed up just before the bell to be in Wheeler’s corner and prevent interference from Jericho Appreciation Society.

Yuta controlled the action early and went after the broken nose of Le Champion. JAS was kicked out from ringside as Jericho took control by tripping Wheeler up on the top rope. Chris posed for the crowd before reigning down some punches to Yuta’s head. Jericho went for a Superplex but Yuta blocked it. Wheeler went for a Crossbody but Jericho countered into a Dropkick for a two count. Jericho unloaded some elbow strikes to the side of Wheeler’s head and gave the crowd the middle finger.

Yuta connected with an Enziguri and a Clothesline in the corner. Wheeler hit the Crossbody off the top rope and both wrestlers were down. Wheeler hopped to his feet and unloaded some punches to Jericho’s face. Both wrestlers went for a running Crossbody at the same time and collided in the middle of the ring. Jericho and Yuta traded slaps to the face for a bit on their knees and then on their feet.

Wheeler connected with several German Suplexes in a row before bridging into the cover for a two count. Chris battled back and locked in the Walls of Jericho in the middle of the ring. Wheeler was able to get to the bottom rope to break the hold and Jericho started arguing with referee Aubrey Edwards. Jericho went for a Codebreaker but Wheeler countered into a Back Body Drop that sent Chris to the outside.

Yuta followed it up with three Suicide Dives before bringing Jericho back into the ring. Wheeler hit a Crossbody off the top rope and went for the cover but Jericho kicked out at two. Jericho responded with a Backbreaker but Yuta shrugged it off. Yuta knocked Jericho to the mat and climbed to the top rope. Wheeler leaped right into a Codebreaker from Jericho for a two count.

Jericho charged at Yuta but he tripped him up in the middle of the ring. Yuta applied a submission hold in the middle of the ring but Jericho escaped to the corner. Jericho grabbed the baseball bat but Aubrey Edwards ripped it away. Chris hit a low blow while the ref was distracted and went for Judas Effect but Wheeler was able to duck. Chris then applied the Walls of Jericho for the submission victory but wouldn’t let go of the hold.

Several referees shoed up and tried to break it up before AEW Interim Champion Jon Moxley’s theme hit. Jon got into the ring and Jericho finally released the hold. Jericho retreated as Moxley trash talked in the ring. Jon Moxley will defend the AEW Interim Championship against Chris Jericho next week at Quake at the Lake. Jericho vowed to show up as the Lionheart next week and “stretch the shit” out of Moxley.

WWE NXT 2.0 Results (8/2/22): Two Title Bouts, Championship Summit

Julius Creed & Brutus Creed vs. Tony D’Angelo & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo took place. 

This match was set up after last week’s show that saw Lorenzo, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro defeat The Creed Brothers, Roderick Strong, and Damon Kemp in the eight-man tag man event.

The finish of the match saw Elektra hand Tony a crowbar. Santos Escobar showed up and punched Tony with brass knuckles while the referee was distracted. Julius hit Tony with his finisher for the win. 

NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Jacy Jayne & Gigi Dolin vs. Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz took place for the vacant NXT Women’s Titles. 

WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze (Madusa) appeared last week to set up the match in a backstage segment. Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade had been champions, but Jade turned on Perez on the July 12 NXT episode, then threw her Tag title belt in a trashcan. 

The match opened the show. Nile eliminated Feroz for the first elimination while Chance hit Paxley with a codebreaker and Jayne tagged herself in to roll up Paxley for the elimination. Chance and Carter hit Jayne with their 450-Reverse DDT combo to give Chance the win on Jayne.

Non-Title Match

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. Sarray in a non-title match took place. 

Rose hit Sarray with her running knee finisher for the win.

There was a backstage segment where Rose convinced Cora Jade to take out Zoey Starks ahead of Heatwave as if Starks can’t compete then Jade would be the #1 contender. 

Championship Summit

WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker and JD McDonagh had a championship summit ahead of their title match on the August 16th edition of NXT. 

JD cut a promo about how he sees fire in Bron’s eyes and he wants to stomp it out. He said that he has no respect for Bron because all he sees in Bron is a roadmap to success and he will make him scream. JD said he will be the next NXT Champion. 

Bron said JD is special and he has studied what JD did in NXT UK. He said JD might be one of the smartest people to step in the ring with. Bron said everyone has a plan until he breaks them in half. Bron said when the title is on the line, he’s an animal and promised to put JD in a lot of pain. JD signed the contract in blood by pricking his finger with a pin. 

Open Challenge

Carmelo Hayes

NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes issued an open challenge on this show. 

This was set up when Hayes announced on Twitter that he would be celebrating his birthday this week by defending his title on this show in an open challenge.

Hayes and Trick Williams cut a promo about how it’s time to celebrate his birthday. Hayes said he is a money player and all he makes is money moves. 

Giovani Vinci ended up making his entrance, but Nathan Frazer sprinted to the ring to end up take the challenge. Melo to hit Frazer with the top rope Scissors Kick for the victory.

WWE RAW Results (8/1/22): Bayley & Becky Lynch, Tag Title Main Event, Edge & Judgement Day

WWE RAW aired live from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE SummerSlam. The Usos defended the Undisputed Tag Team Championships against The Mysterios in tonight’s main event.

Becky Lynch Confirms Injury, Bayley & Her Faction Attacked

Becky Lynch made her way down the entrance ramp with her arm in a sling. Becky lost to Bianca Belair last night at WWE SummerSlam. She then turned babyface and stood by the champion’s side as Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky (FKA as Io Shirai) surrounded Belair.

The crowd chanted “Becky!” and she thanked them. Becky claimed that she is happy to say that she finally remembered who she was at SummerSlam. Lynch said that she separated her shoulder at SummerSlam but finished the match anyway, and they were some of the most painful minutes of her career.

Lynch claimed that it wasn’t as painful as realizing she has become very separated from reality. Becky noted that she gave her best but her best just wasn’t good enough at SummerSlam. Becky referenced her old “The Man” gimmick before giving Bianca Belair credit for pushing her this year.

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. Bianca complimented Becky and the two shared a hug in the middle of the ring.Becky then said, “I’ll see you soon”. and exited as the crowd chanted her name.

Bianca Belair then cut a promo about still standing here as the RAW Women’s Champion. Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, and Bayley then attacked Becky Lynch backstage. Bianca rushed backstage but was too late as the heels had escaped.

AJ Styles Won The Triple Threat Match

The Miz, Mustafa Ali, and AJ Styles battled in a Triple Threat match. The winner will be in the #1 contenders match for the United States Championship. Mustafa connected with a Hurricanrana on Styles but The Miz tripped him up. AJ hit Miz with a Dropkick that knocked The A-Lister out of the ring. AJ went for the Styles Clash on Ali but Miz dragged him to the outside. The Miz launched AJ into the barricade but turned around into a dive from Ali.

Back in the ring, Mustafa shoved Miz into the turnbuckle. The Miz responded by bashing Ali’s head into the turnbuckle as AJ got back into the ring. Styles delivered a flurry of chops to Miz’s chest but he shrugged them off. Miz stomped AJ down in the corner and responded with some chops of his own.

Mustafa connected with a double Neckbreaker on both Superstars but Miz and Styles kicked out. The action spilled to the outside and Mustafa leaped off the top rope into a DDT on AJ Styles on the floor. The Miz hit Ali but couldn’t go for the cover right away and it cost him as Mustafa kicked out at two. Mustafa hit an Enziguri and climbed to the top rope. Ali hit Miz with a 450 Splash but rolled right into a Styles Clash from AJ for the pinfall victory. AJ will face the winner of the other Triple Threat match later tonight to determine which superstar gets a future US Title shot.

Before the match, Logan Paul revealed his signed a “multi-year, multi-event deal” and Triple H will be on his podcast tomorrow.

Seth Rollins def. Montez Ford

Seth Rollins came to the ring for a promo but was quickly interrupted by Street Profits. Rollins told the crowd to shut up as they reacted for Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford. Seth joked that he doesn’t want to share any airspace with the biggest losers in WWE and poked fun at The Street Profits losing again to The Usos. Seth suggested that they should probably break up because they suck so much as a tag team.

Dawkins reminded Rollins that they beat him to become tag champs and Montez added that Cody Rhodes beat Seth when he “only had one booby”. Seth wanted a match and Montez accepted the challenge. Seth went for the Stomp early but Ford dodged it and delivered a Clothesline. Montez slammed Rollins into the barricade before the action returned to the ring.

Montez hit a Superkick and went for the cover but Rollins kicked out at two. Seth connected with a Fallaway Slam outside the ring and tried to win via count out but Montez made it back in time. Seth hit Montez with a few knee strikes before connecting with a Gutbuster for a near fall.

Ford battled back with a Clothesline and followed it up with an Enziguri. Montez sent Rollins to the canvas with a slam and hit a Standing Moonsault for a two count. Rollins went for a Clothesline but Montez ducked and hit a Blockbuster for another near fall.

Montez hit a Tornado DDT and went for the cover but Seth got his boot on the ropes to break up the cover and the match continued. Ford climbed to the top rope but Seth broke it up. Rollins delivered the Buckle Bomb and then a Falcon Arrow but Montez wouldn’t stay down for three.

Seth climbed to the top rope and went for a Frog Splash but Montez got out of the way. Montez went for a Frog Splash of his own but Rollins got his knees up. Seth then hit Ford with the Stomp for the pinfall victory. After the match, Rollins set up for another Stomp as Ford slowly got up. Angelo Dawkins made the save and Rollins retreated with a smile on his face.

Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss Ended In A DQ

Alexa controlled the match early and kept Asuka down with some knee strikes. Bliss applied a headlock but Asuka escaped. Alexa hit her with a Standing Moonsault for a near fall. The Empress of Tomorrow responded with a release German Suplex and a knee to the head.

Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky rushed the ring and attacked to end the match in a DQ, Bayley hit a running knee to Alexa’s face and Dakota hit Asuka with a boot to the face in the corner of the ring. RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made the save and the heels retreated through the crowd. Belair shouted that she wanted a match tonight against one of them as RAW went to a break. Bianca Belair versus Iyo Sky will happen later tonight.

Ciampa Won The Triple Threat, Will Face AJ Styles Later

Ciampa, Chad Gable, and Dolph Ziggler competed in a Triple Threat match tonight. The winner will battle AJ Styles later tonight to determine the #1 contender for the United States Championship. Ciampa and Gable teamed up to beat Ziggler down early. Gable went for the cover but Ciampa pulled him off. Ciampa and Gable then started shoving each other before teaming up again.

Ciampa sent Ziggler into the ring post and then was attacked by Gable. Ciampa escaped but Gable connected with a slam and bounced Ciampa’s face off the canvas. Dolph hit Gable with a Fameasser as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, all three Superstars were in a triple submission. Gable went for an Ankle Lock but Ciampa escaped. Ciampa hit White Noise and went for the cover but Gable broke it up at two. Ciampa sent Ziggler out of the ring and connected with the Fairytale Ending on Gable for the pinfall victory. Ciampa will face AJ Styles later tonight to determine the #1 contender for the United States Championship.

Edge Vowed To End The Judgement Day

The Rated R Superstar Edge made his way to the ring with his old theme and got a great reaction from the crowd. He cut a brief promo and admitted he’s been a bit of an asshole lately in The Judgement Day. Edge said he created the group to help talent like Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. He vowed to end The Judgement Day to end the promo.

Bianca Belair vs. Iyo Sky Ended In A DQ

RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair battled Iyo Sky tonight on the red brand. Iyo dominated early and connected with a Moonsault on the champion outside the ring as WWE RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Sky was still in control and stomped The EST down to the mat. Iyo went for the cover but Bianca kicked out at two. Belair went for a strike but Iyo was ready and went for a Crossface. Belair blocked it but Sky countered into a Russian Leg Sweep for a near fall.

Sky went for a Crossbody but the champ caught her and hit a Fallaway Slam. Bianca stayed on the attack and slammed Sky down to the mat. Bianca followed it up with a Standing Moonsault for a two count.

Bayley and Dakota Kai showed up ringside and distracted the RAW Women’s Champion. Iyo capitalized with a Hurricanrana off the top rope for a two count. Belair battled back with a Suplex and lifted Iyo up for the KOD. Sky escaped and the two Superstars battled to the ring apron.

Bianca tried to hit Sky with a German Suplex off the apron but Iyo held onto the ropes. Sky leaped off the apron but Belair caught her and slammed Iyo into the barricade. Bianca went to roll Sky back into the ring but Kai and Dakota blocked her. Alexa Bliss and Asuka made their way back down the entrance ramp as RAW went to another break.

When RAW returned, Bianca hit a Superplex and followed it up with a Moonsault but Iyo somehow managed to kick out at two and the match continued. Sky sent Belair to the corner and delivered a Dropkick to the champion’s face. Bianca responded with a big Spinebuster and went for another Moonsault but Sky got her knees up.

Bayley tripped Bianca up and Iyo rolled her up. Sky was using the ropes for leverage but Alexa shoved her feet off. Dakota Kai, Bayley, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss then brawled in the ring. Asuka hit Bayley with a knee to the face and some strikes. WWE officials then rushed the ring to break up the brawl.

Ciampa Earned A Shot At The US Title

Ciampa battled AJ Styles tonight on RAW to determine the #1 contender for the United States Championship. The Miz accompanied Ciampa to the ring and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T joined commentary for the match. AJ was favoring his shoulder but still managed to control the match early.

Styles connected with a Backbreaker and Ciampa rolled out of the ring to regroup. Ciampa talked with The Miz before getting backing back into the ring. AJ delivered a Dropkick that sent the former NXT Champion out of the ring. Styles followed it up with a forearm to the face and trash talked with The Miz as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, Styles unloaded a Clothesline and followed it up with a sliding forearm to Ciampa’s face. AJ hit a Neckbreaker and then a slam for a two count. Ciampa battled back with a slam of his own and waited for AJ to get up. Ciampa went for a running knee strike but AJ blocked it.

AJ went for the Styles Clash but Ciampa was able to escape. Styles caught Ciampa with a Suplex and launched him into the turnbuckle. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Ciampa blocked it with a knee to the face. Ciampa quickly followed it up with a Backbreaker but AJ kicked out at two.

AJ battled back and hit the Styles Clash in the corner. AJ went for the cover but The Miz put Ciampa’s boot on the bottom rope to break up the cover. AJ chased Miz to the outside and Ciampa capitalized. Ciampa sent AJ into the timekeeper’s area and Miz held onto Styles leg. AJ broke free and got back into the ring to break the count. Ciampa hit him with a knee strike and then the Fairytale Ending for the pinfall victory. Ciampa will battle Bobby Lashley next week on RAW for the United States Championship.

The Usos Retained The Undisputed Tag Team Championships, Edge Battled With The Judgement Day

Dominik and Rey Mysterio battled The Usos for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships in tonight’s main event. The Mysterios controlled the action early and sent Jimmy and Jey out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Jimmy had Rey trapped in a Headlock in the middle of the ring. Jey tagged in and connected with a Backbreaker on Rey for a two count. Dominik and Jimmy Uso then tagged in. Dominik hit a Crossbody and then a Dropkick for a two count.

Jimmy hit Dominik with a punch but he responded with a Slingblade. Dominik went for the 619 but Jimmy escaped out of the ring. Dominik went for a Crossbody but The Usos caught him. The Undisputed Tag Team Champions bashed Dominik into the ring post as RAW went to the final commercial break of the night.

Dominik and Jimmy were battling in the corner when RAW returned. Dominik got the better of the exchange and connected with a DDT. Rey and Jey tagged in and battled in the middle of the ring. Rey hit a Hurricanrana and booted Jimmy to the outside. Rey kicked Jey in the side of the head and followed it up with a Senton.

Rey went for a springboard Crossbody but Jey was ready and caught him with an Enziguri for a close two count. The Mysterios hit a double 619 and Dominik climbed to the top rope. Dominik connected with a Frog Splash on Jimmy and went for the cover but Jey broke it up at the last moment.

Jey dragged Rey out of the ring and hit him with a Superkick. Dominik leveled Jey with a Suicide Dive and then climbed back to the top rope. Jimmy hit Dominik with an uppercut and some punches to the face. Jimmy joined Dominik on the top turnbuckle and set up for a Superplex. Dominik blocked it and knocked Jimmy down. Dominik missed with a Frog Splash but hit a Dropkick. Jey tagged himself in and The Usos caught Dominik with the 1D for the pinfall victory. The Usos are still the Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

After the match, The Judgement Day attacked The Mysterios in the ring. Edge made the save and sent Damian out of the ring. Edge connected with Edgecution on Balor and set up for the Spear. Rhea shoved Dominik in the way and he accidentally hit Dominik with the Spear. Rhea laughed ringside as Edge chased Balor through the crowd to close the show.

Ric Flair Wins Last Match in Nashville

On July 30, Starrcast and Jim Crockett Promotions presented the Ric Flair’s Last Match pay-per-view at the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.

WWE SummerSlam 2022 aired live from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match in the main event.

Bianca Belair Retained The RAW Women’s Championship, Bayley, Dakota Kai, Io Shirai Appeared After The Match

Bianca Belair defended the RAW Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch tonight at WWE SummerSlam. Bianca got a great reaction from her hometown crowd. Becky got Bianca grounded on the mat early and went after her arm.

Belair battled back and knocked Becky out of the ring. Big Time Becks trapped Belair on the barricade and connected with a Leg Drop. Lynch brought Belair back into the ring and went for the cover but the RAW Women’s Champion kicked out at two.

Lynch grabbed Belair by the hair and ripped her down to the mat for a close two count. Belair rolled away to regroup while selling an arm injury. Becky stomped on Belair’s shoulder a couple of times in the corner.

Becky connected with a Dropkick and went for another Leg Drop off the top rope but Bianca countered into a Powerbomb. Bianca sent Becky into the ring post and followed it up with a Suplex.

Back in the ring, Lynch went for a Crossbody but The EST caught her. Becky escaped and hit a Blockbuster for a near fall. Becky went for a Hurricanrana but the champ blocked it and sent Lynch across the ring. Bianca set up for the KOD but Lynch countered into the Dis-Arm-Her.

Belair escaped and planted Becky with a KOD on the floor outside the ring. Bianca tried to win via count out but Becky got back into the ring at 9. The champ climbed to the top turnbuckle but Becky tripped her up. Both Superstars battled on the top turnbuckle and Lynch grabbed Bianca by the braid. Becky brought her down by the braid and hit the Man-Handle Slam but Bianca somehow kicked out at two and the match continued. Becky went for a Man-Handle Slam off the top rope but Bianca countered into a Spanish Fly. Belair then hit the KOD for the pinfall victory and retained the RAW Women’s Championship.

After the match, Becky and Bianca shook hands and Lynch exited the ring. Bayley made her return, along with released Superstar (now rehired, obviously) Dakota Kai and Io Shirai. They got in the ring and surrounded Bianca. Becky Lynch then got back into the ring and stood by Belair’s side. Bayley, Io, and Dakota then retreated to end the segment. Io’s new name is apparently Io Sky.

Logan Paul def. The Miz

The Miz battled Logan Paul tonight at WWE SummerSlam. Maryse and Ciampa accompanied The Miz to the ring for the match. The Miz mocked Logan early and made fun of his strikes. Logan responded with an Arm Drag and a casual boot to Miz’s face.

Logan ducked under a Clothesline and smacked Miz across the face. Logan did a split to avoid Miz and followed it up with a Clothesline to the outside. He then hit a Moonsault off the apron and rolled Miz back inside the ring.

Miz shoved Logan to the turnbuckle and hit him with a few chops to the chest. The Miz distracted the referee and Ciampa hit him with a cheap shot. Logan battled back with some strikes but Miz shrugged them off.

The Miz posed for the crowd as Logan recovered in the corner. Logan dodged The Miz and hit a Blockbuster off the middle turnbuckle that knocked both men down to the canvas.

Logan unloaded a Clothesline and followed it up with a Running Powerslam for a near fall. Logan hit a Crossbody off the top turnbuckle and then a Standing Moonsault for another close two count. Ciampa tried to get involved again and the referee kicked him out. Ciampa refused to leave and took a seat on a chair outside the ring. AJ Styles’ theme hit and The Phenomenal One appeared from under the ring.

Styles attacked Ciampa ringside and launched him over the barricade. AJ and Ciampa battled through the crowd as The Miz and Logan slowly got up in the ring. Logan connected with a springboard forearm for a two count and Miz rolled to the outside.

Logan cleared off the announce table and put The Miz on top of it. He climbed to the top rope as Maryse pleaded with him to stop. Logan connected with a Frog Splash through the table as the Nashville crowd chanted “holy sh*t!”. He had the match won but Maryse hopped on the ring apron to distract the referee. The Miz tried to capitalize but Logan saw it coming. Logan then planted Miz with the Skull Crushing Finale for the pinfall victory. Logan took a swig of his Prime energy drink after the match.

Bobby Lashley Retained The US Title

Bobby Lashley defended the United States Championship against Theory tonight at SummerSlam. Theory vowed to win the title and cash in his MITB contract during the Last Man Standing match later tonight. Before the bell rang, Theory attacked Lashley with the MITB briefcase. Lashley told the referee that he still wanted to compete and the match officially began.

Theory attacked and hit a Neckbreaker for a two count before unloading some punches to the champion’s face. Lashley hit a big Chokeslam for a two count and Theory rolled out of the ring. The challenger tried to retreat but Bobby caught up to him.

Lashley launched Theory into the barricade a couple of times before bringing him back into the ring. Theory connected with a Dropkick and went for the cover but Lashley was able to kick out at two. Lashley battled back with a Powerslam and fired up the Nashville crowd.

The champion went for a Spear but Theory leapfrogged him and Bobby bashed into the turnbuckle. Theory went for another Dropkick but Lashley was ready for it. Lashley then quickly applied the Hurt Lock for the submission victory. Bobby Lashley is still the United States Champion.

Edge Helped The Mysterios Overcome The Judgement Day

The Judgement Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest) battled The Mysterios (Rey & Dominik) tonight in a No Disqualifications tag team match. Rhea Ripley accompanied The Judgement Day to the ring for the match. She made her return on this past Monday’s episode of RAW and attacked The Mysterios during Rey’s 20th Anniversary Celebration in WWE.

The Judgement Day beat The Mysterios down early as Rhea cheered them on ringside. Dominika and Rey battled back and knocked Damian & Finn to the outside. Rey held open the ropes and Dominik hit Damian with a Suicide Dive. Rey followed it up with a springboard Moonsault on Finn.

Back in the ring, Dominik climbed to the to rope and hit a Crossbody on Balor for a two count. Rey tagged in and hit Balor with a Russian Leg Sweet and then a Splash for a near fall.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor took control of the match and isolated Dominik in the middle of the ring. Balor tagged in and delivered a stomp to Dominik’s midsection before connecting with a Suplex.

Finn hit Dominik with some strikes in the corner before bouncing his head off the top turnbuckle several times. Rey and Damian tagged in and Mysterio made his way to the top rope. Rey hit a Senton and followed it up with a Dropkick.

Rey knocked Finn off the apron before planting Priest with a Bulldog. Rey grabbed a steel chair and bashed Damian over the back as the crowd cheered. Rey hit the sliding Splash on Balor outside the ring with the chair.

Back in the ring, Damian connected with a big boot and went for the cover but Rey was able to kick out at the last moment. Finn tagged in and absolutely leveled Rey with a Clothesline. Balor followed it up with a Dropkick and set up for the Coup de Grace but Dominik broke it up.

Rey climbed to the top with Balor and sent him to the canvas with a Hurricanrana for a near fall. The Mysterios had The Judgement Day set up for a double 619 but Rhea broke it up. Rhea slammed Dominik on the ring apron as Damian sent Rey to the canvas. Balor asked for a steel chair but the lights in the arena went out.

A bunch of flamed went off and Edge appeared on top of a staircase. Edge marched down the stairs and started hauling ass towards the ring. Damian told Balor he will handle this and got out of the ring. Edge hit Damian with a Clothesline and followed it up with a Spear to Balor in the ring. The Rated R Superstar delivered a Spear to Damian and watched on as The Mysterios hit the double 619. Rey followed it up with a Splash on Balor for the pinfall victory.

Pat McAfee def. Happy Corbin

Happy Corbin battled Pat McAfee tonight at WWE SummerSlam. Corbin threw McAfee out of the ring and bashed him against the barricade. Happy sent McAfee into the barricade again before rolling him back into the ring.

Corbin connected with Deep Six and went for the cover but Pat kicked out at two. Happy got pissed and started arguing with referee Charles Robinson. McAfee capitalized and knocked Happy out of the ring and hit him with a Crossbody.

Happy shrugged it off and slammed Pat on top of the announce table. Michael Cole offered Pat some words of encouragement before Happy put on the broadcast microphone. Corbin named Pat’s parents and asked if they are watching their boy as he reigned down punches to McAfee’s face.

The crowd chanted “Michael Cole!” as Corbin argued with the SmackDown announcer before returning to the ring. Happy climbed to the top rope but Pat leaped up there with him. Pat then connected with a Superplex and both men crashed to the mat. Pat got an arm on Corbin for a pinfall attempt but Happy kicked out and the match continued.

Corbin sent McAfee to the corner and charged but Pat got out of the way and Happy crashed into the ring post. Pat climbed to the top turnbuckle and came very close to losing his balance. Pat regrouped and hit a Swanton on Corbin on the floor below. Back in the ring, Pat climbed back to the top turnbuckle as Corbin was down on the mat.

Pat jumped over a charging Corbin and dodged the End of Days. Pat knocked Corbin into the referee and delivered a thunderous low blow to Corbin. McAfee hit a Sunset Flip Powerbomb into the cover for the pinfall victory.

Drew McIntyre Vowed to Become Champion

Drew McIntyre came down the entrance ramp with Angela the sword. McInyre spoke about defeating Sheamus last night at SmackDown to earn a title shot at Clash at the Castle. Drew wondered if he will face Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar before starting a “Colt!” chant for a young fan in the crowd. McIntyre vowed to become champion at Clash at the Caste on September 3rd. Drew posed with the sword as pyro went off around Nissan Stadium.

The Usos Retained The Tag Titles

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) defended their Undisputed Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) tonight at SummerSlam. Jeff Jarrett was the Special Guest Referee for the title match. Ford and Dawkins had the Tennessee Titans cheerleaders accompany them during their entrance.

Jimmy beat Angelo down in the corner and Jeff physically broke it up at the count of five. Angelo did the same to Jimmy and Jeff broke that up as well. Jimmy hit a Backbreaker and tagged in Jey Uso. Jey connected with a Leg Drop and went for the cover but Dawkins kicked out at two. The Usos isolated Angelo in the corner and controlled the match for a couple of minutes.

Montez pleaded for a tag as Jimmy hit Dawkins with a Bronco Buster and posted with his brother Jey in the corner. Ford finally tagged in and greeted Jey Uso with a Crossbody off the top turnbuckle for a near fall. Montez followed it up with a Clothesline and an Enziguri to the side of Jey’s head. Ford hit a Suplex, flexed, and followed it up with a Standing Moonsault for a close near fall.

Jey hit a Superkick but Montez responded with a Blockbuster for a two count. Jey battled back and connected with a Neckbreaker on Ford but he kicked out at two. Jimmy tagged back in but Montez escaped and tagged in Angelo. Dawkins did an awesome flip over the top rope onto The Usos outside the ring.

Back in the ring, Angelo connected with a Neckbreaker on Jimmy for a near fall. Jimmy knocked Dawkins to the corner with an Enziguri. Montez tagged himself in and planted Jimmy with a Suplex for a two count. Montez wasn’t thrilled with the speed of Double J’s count and let him know about it before tagging in Dawkins.

Jey sent Montez outside the ring and The Usos caught Dawkins with a double Superkick. Jimmy climbed to the top rope and hit Angelo with a Frog Splash for a near fall. The Usos climbed up opposite turnbuckles and delivered a double Frog Splash to Dawkins. Jey went for the cover but Montez leaped into the ring to break it up at the last second.

Jey threw Montez over the top rope but he held on. Jey went for a Superkick but Angelo ducked and he almost hit Jarrett again. Jeff blocked it but Dawkins planted Jey with a Spinebuster. Montez followed it up with a Frog Splash off the top rope but could not go for the cover right away. Ford eventually got there but the extra time allowed Jey to kick out at two.

Montez stared at Jeff as he said it was only two. Ford shouted at Double J for a bit before angrily tagging in Dawkins. Jimmy dragged Jey to the outside and Montez went for a Suicide Dive. The Usos hit him with a double Superkick and hurled Montez over the barricade.The Usos hit Dawkins with a Superkick in the ring and followed it up with the 1D for the pinfall victory. The Usos are still the Undisputed Tag Team Champions.

Rollins Attacked Riddle

Seth Rollins was originally supposed to face Riddle tonight but the match was canceled. Rollins brutally attacked Riddle this week and Riddle was not cleared to compete.

Riddle slid into the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. Riddle said he is not medically cleared to compete tonight but Randy Orton told him to not take crap from pieces of trash like Seth Rollins. Riddle demanded that Seth come to the ring and Rollins obliged. WWE security showed up and got in Rollins’ way on the entrance ramp. Seth sprinted by them and met with Riddle on the entrance ramp. Rollins and Riddle brawled as the hapless WWE security failed to stop it. Seth then hit Riddle with a Stomp to end the segment.

Liv Morgan Retained The SmackDown Championship, Ronda Rousey Flipped Out

Liv Morgan defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey tonight at SummerSlam. Liv won the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in on Ronda to become the champion on the same night.

Ronda dominated the match early and hit a slam for a near fall. Liv responded with some strikes before hitting Rousey with an Enziguri. Ronda went for Piper’s Pit but Morgan escaped. Liv went for Oblivion but Rousey countered into a Uranage. Ronda went for an Armbar but Liv blocked it.

Liv applied an Armbar of her own in the middle of the ring but Rousey powered to her feet. Morgan countered Piper’s Pit into a driver for a near fall. Ronda went for the Armbar but Liv shoved her to the outside. Ronda tackled Liv to the mat and applied the Armbar in the middle of the ring but the champion reached the ropes. Rousey brought her back to the middle of the ring and went for the Armbar again but Liv got to the ropes for a second time.

The SmackDown Women’s Champion regrouped in the corner as the challenger paced around the ring. WWE’s medical staff checked on Liv’s arm but the champ wanted to continue the match. Ronda stood waiting and jumped around before bring Liv back to the mat. Ronda went for the Armbar again but Liv countered into a cover. Liv looked to tap at the same time the referee counted to three.

Liv was awarded the victory and is still the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Ronda argued with the referee after the match. After the match, Ronda Rousey took Liv down again and got her in the Armbar. Rousey then got the referee in the Armbar and the tireless night for WWE security continued as they rushed the ring. Ronda eventually broke the hold and trash talked some more before exiting the ring.

Roman Reigns Was The Last Man Standing

Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar in a Last Man Standing match in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2022. Paul Heyman and The Usos accompanied Roman Reigns to the ring during his entrance. Heyman was ringside for the title match. Brock Lesnar got a big pop from the crowd during his entrance. Lesnar then hopped in a tractor and drove down the entrance ramp with a smile on his face. Brock parked and hopped on top of it. Lesnar posed and waved his cowboy hat before the bell rang.

The Beast jumped off the tractor and leveled The Tribal Chief with a Clothesline. Brock followed Roman out of the ring and hit him with a Belly to Belly Throw. Lesnar launched Roman into the steel steps and dumped him over the barricade. The action spilled into the crowd with Lesnar in control. Brock delivered a Suplex to Roman on top of a stage. Brock set up for an F5 but Reigns escaped and went for a Powerbomb. Lesnar blocked it and sent Reigns off the stage and onto a cameraman below.

Brock unsuccessfully tried to jump onto the top of the barricade but caught himself before falling down. Lesnar sent Reigns to the floor with a release German Suplex and set up a table ringside. Paul Heyman distracted Brock and The Beast took his eyes off the champion. Reigns capitalized and put Brock through the table with a Samoan Drop as Heyman grinned ringside.

Reigns set up another table and put Brock through it with a Uranage. Roman followed it up with two Superman Punches and a Spear. Brock got up before the count of ten and Reigns went for another Spear. Lesnar dodged it and sent The Tribal Chief out of the ring. Brock put Reigns through a broken portion of the table with a Spinebuster. Lesnar loaded Roman onto the tractor and dumped him down into the ring. Roman made it back to his feet in time and Brock took him to Suplex City.

Brock lifted up Reigns for the F5 but Roman escaped. Roman locked in a chokehold in the middle of the ring but Reigns countered into a Guillotine choke in the middle of the ring. Brock then used the tractor to lift the ring like a maniac and Reigns tumbled to the outside. Lesnar laughed his ass off as the crowd cheered as the ring was destroyed and half of it off the ground.

The Usos interfered but Brock planted both of them with German Suplexes. Paul Heyman got in Brock’s face and it was a huge mistake. Lesnar put Heyman through the announce table with an F5 but turned around into a Spear from Roman Reigns. The referee started counting as both Superstars were down. Roman and Brock made it up just in time and the Last Man Standing match continued.

Money in the Bank winner Theory’s music hit and he made his way ringside. Theory bashed Roman in the face with the briefcase but couldn’t cash in because Brock planted him with an F5. The Usos hit Lesnar with a double Superkick as Reigns got up next to the ring. Brock got up at nine and Reigns put him back down with another Spear.

Lesnar got up at the last second once again and Reigns grabbed the MITB briefcase. Roman hit Lesnar over and over with the briefcase before throwing it to the floor. The referee started counting again but Lesnar was up at nine. Roman couldn’t believe it and grabbed the WWE Championship. Reigns bashed Brock over the head with it and the referee began his count again.

Brock got up at nine one more time and Reigns grabbed the Universal Championship. Reigns hit Brock in the face with the title and buried him under the announce table. Reigns and The Usos threw chairs on top of the pile for good measure. Roman then posed on top of the pile and Brock Lesnar for the victory. Reigns is still the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

AEW Rampage Fight for the Fallen was taped Wednesday night from the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. In addition to the takeaways below, The Acclaimed released a new music video trashing the Gunn Club.

Best Friends Picked Up A Win, Wardlow Appears

Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh faced Best Friends (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy in the first match of the night. Jay Lethal and Trent Beretta started off the action and traded strikes.

Orange Cassidy tagged in and demanded to fight the giant Satnam Singh. Dutt tagged himself in and was wrestling in hit suit for whatever reason. Cassidy put his hands in his pockets and connected with his patented lazy kicks.

Satnam Singh tagged in and hit Orange with a thunderous chop to the chest. Best Friends tried to all go at him but Satnam swatted them away. Jay Lethal tagged in and stomped on Cassidy as Rampage went to a commercial break.

When Rampage returned, Trent and Chuck took Satnam down with a double Dropkick. They shared a hug but Jay capitalized with a Lethal Injection. Orange Cassidy and Sonjay Dutt then battled in the ring. Cassidy connected with the Orange Punch for the pinfall victory. After the match, Satnam attacked Orange but Wardlow broke it up. Wardlow stared at Lethal, Singh, and Dutt in the ring. The heels retreated and the TNT Champion stood tall to end the segment.

Ethan Page def. Leon Ruffin

Ethan Page came to the ring on his own, without Dan Lambert or Scorpio Sky, and battled Leon Ruffin. Ethan dominated the match and beat Ruffin down in the corner. Stokely Hathaway and Leila Grey were shown watching the match backstage. Page hit the Ego’s Edge for the quick pinfall victory.

The Factory approached Kole Carter backstage and offered him a spot in their group. He said he would think about it to end the promo.

Lee Moriarty def. Matt Sydal

Matt Sydal battled Lee Moriarty in a “Teacher vs. Student” match. The two shook hands after the bell but Lee then took the opportunity to deliver a headbutt. Sydal got angry and unloaded a knee strike to the face.

Sydal followed it up with a Dropkick and a Moonsault but Lee kicked out at two. Moriarty rolled out of the ring to regroup but Matt caught him with a Suicide Dive. Sydal hit a Moonsault off the top rope but Lee responded by launching Matt into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Sydal connected with the Question Mark and then the Lightning Spiral but Lee kicked out at two. Stokely Hathaway made his way ringside to watch the match. Stokely provided a distraction and Lee capitalized with the Border City Strech for the submission victory. After the match, Lee kept the hold in some more and Stokely handed him his business card.

Wheeler Yuta will battle Chris Jericho for a title shot on Dynamite

ROH Champion Claudio Castagnoli made his way to the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. The audience chanted “you deserve it!” as Claudio held up the ROH Championship. Claudio thanked the fans and said it is an honor to be the ROH Champion.

Claudio introduced Wheeler Yuta of the Blackpool Combat Club and he made his way to the ring. Chris Jericho got off commentary and said he can’t stand hearing the crowd cheer for them. Jericho claimed that they deserve a boot up their ass before Yuta cut him off.

Yuta told Jericho to shut up and said that he’s already defeated Daniel Garcia and wanted to battle Jericho. William Regal and Claudio Castagnoli suggested that Wheeler could defeat Jericho as Chris laughed it off. Jericho challenged him to a match on Dynamite and Wheeler declined by claiming he already knows he will defeat him. Jericho said he will put his shot at the AEW Interim Championship at “Quake at the Lake” in two weeks on the line and Wheeler accepted. It was later announced that Claudio will defend the ROH Championship at Battle of the Belts III against Konosuke Takeshita next Saturday.

Anna Jay def. Ruby Soho

Anna Jay faced Rubo Soho in the main event of AEW Rampage Fight for the Fallen. Mark Henry interviewed both competitors backstage before the main event. Sammy Guevara and Tay Coni were with Anna Jay. Eddie Kingston and Ortiz were with Ruby Soho for the interview.

The two locked up to start off the action. Ruby hit a shoulder tackle and delivered some chops to Anna in the corner. Anna booted Ruby’s injured hand followed by a kick to the face. Anna stomped on Ruby and went for the cover but Soho kicked out at two.

Ruby battled back with a headbutt but Anna went after her injured arm some more. Anna got Ruby in the Queen Slayer in the middle of the ring but Ruby escaped. Soho hit No Future but Anna kicked out at two. Ruby went to the top rope and went for a Senton but Anna blocked it. Anna got the Queen Slayer applied again with Ruby’s cast as the referee was distracted. Ruby passed out and Anna picked up the win to close the show.

WWE SmackDown Results (7/29/22): SummerSlam Go-Home Show, Brock Lesnar & Drew McIntyre

WWE SmackDown aired live this week from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. It was the final episode of the blue brand before WWE SummerSlam tomorrow night. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus battled tonight to determine who will get a title shot at Clash at the Castle in September.

Drew McIntyre Earned A Title Shot, Theory Attacked

Sheamus battled Drew McIntyre in a Donnybrook match tonight. The winner will get a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Clash at the Castle in September. Sheamus attacked Drew during his entrance but McIntyre battled back. McIntyre connected with a Falcon Arrow and went for the cover but the Celtic Warrior kicked out at two.

The action spilled to the outside and McIntyre tried to get a table from under the ring. Sheamus broke it up and launched Drew into the steel steps. Sheamus set up the table on the outside and got into the ring. He brought in a shillelagh and bashed McIntyre with it a couple of times before hitting the 10 Beats of the Bodhran on the ring apron.

When SmackDown returned from a break, the two Superstars were battling on the turnbuckle. Sheamus got the better of the exchange and knocked him down. Sheamus hit an Alabama Slam for a two count. Drew launched Sheamus out of the ring and into the mini bar ringisde.

Butch popped out of a barrel and leaped onto Drew McIntyre. Sheamus grabbed a barstool and bashed McIntyre with it. Sheamus hit White Noise and went for the cover but Drew powered out at two. The Celtic Warrior followed it up with the Brogue Kick but Drew somehow kicked out and the match continued.

McIntyre battled back with a Glasgow Kiss and hit Butch with a shillelagh. Sheamus went for another Brogue Kick but McIntyre countered into a Powerbomb through the table in the ring. McIntyre then delivered a Claymore to Sheamus’ face for the pinfall victory. Drew McIntyre now has a title shot at Clash at the Castle.

Kayla Braxton interviewed McIntyre after the match and he thanked the crowd. McIntyre stated that somebody has to get the title off the part-time champion before Theory interrupted. Theory bashed McIntyre with briefcase several times as the crowd booed.

Happy Corbin Attacks Pat McAfee

Happy Corbin showed up in the crowd with a sign of Pat McAfee’s mugshot for a previous arrest. Corbin told security that he bought a ticket and sat down right behind Pat on the commentary desk. Happy Corbin and Pat McAfee will battle tomorrow night at WWE SummerSlam. Corbin wasted no time before brawling with McAfee. WWE security broke it up but Corbin took the opportunity to boot Pat in the groin.

Shotzi Picked Up A Win

Shoti squared off against Aliyah tonight on SmackDown as Pat McAfee recovered and rejoined commentary. Aliyah ducked under a Clothesline and hit a Bronco Buster. Aliyah applied an armbar but Shotzi escaped and beat her down in the corner of the ring. Shotzi choked Aliyah against the ropes until referee Charles Robinson broke it up. Shotzi connected with a slam and went for the cover but Aliyah kicked out at two and the match continued.

Shotzi got Aliyah in a Boston Crab in the middle of the ring but Aliyah battled through the pain and reached the bottom rope to break the hold. Aliyah booted Shotzi in the face and followed it up with some forearm strikes. Aliyah hit a Slingblade for a near fall and Shotzi rolled out of the ring to regroup. Aliyah hit Double Knees off the ring apron and posed for the crowd. Shotzi shoved Aliyah into the ring post and rolled her back inside. Shotzi hit a Fisherman’s Buster for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Ronda Rousey marched to the ring as Shotzi stood with a microphone. Ronda demanded the microphone but Shotzi tried to hit her with it. Ronda planted her with Piper’s Pit and grabbed the microphone. Rousey got heckled by a fan and the former SmackDown Women’s Champion shouted “you shut up and your mom failed you” at the fan.

Ronda Rousey & Liv Morgan Team Up Ahead Of Their Title Match At WWE SummerSlam

Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan battled Natalya and Sonya Deville in a tag team match tonight. Liv Morgan will defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda tomorrow night at WWE SummerSlam. Natalya and Deville isolated the SmackDown Women’s Champion in the ring until eventually she escaped.

Liv tagged in Ronda but quickly tagged herself back in. Liv and Ronda argued and Deville capitalized. Sonya launched Liv into the barricade and brought the champion back into the ring. Natalya tagged in as Sonya choked Liv against the ropes. Natalya planted Morgan with a Suplex before applying a headlock in the middle of the ring as Ronda hopped around on the apron waiting for a tag.

The SmackDown Women’s Champion escaped but Natalya booted her out of the ring. Natalya then Suplexed Liv into the barricade as SmackDown went to a commercial break. When SmackDown returned, Liv was still trapped in the ring and Sonya hit a knee strike to the face for a two count.

Natalya tagged back in and continued to beat the champion down. Natalya hit another Suplex before applying another headlock. Liv hit a Codebreaker and could have tagged out but opted for cover instead. Natalya kicked out and Liv still wouldn’t go for a tag. Natalya and Sonya trapped her in the corner once again and took turns beating the champion down.

Sonya then applied a headlock in the middle of the ring as Ronda paced around on the apron. Liv eventually escaped and hit an Enziguri to knock both superstars to the mat. Liv stared at Ronda but refused to tag out once again. She rolled up Natalya for a near fall before turning around into a Clothesline. Liv tripped up Natalya and sent her into the turnbuckle.

Ronda tagged herself in and Sonya tagged in at the same time. Rousey hit Deville with Piper’s Pit but Natalya attacked from behind. Morgan hit Natalya with Oblivion as Ronda applied an Ankle Lock on Deville for the submssion victory. After the match, Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey posed together ahead of their title match tomorrow night. Ronda and Liv then trash-talked a bit and had a stare-down to end the segment.

Jey Uso Accidentally Hit Jeff Jarrett

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos and The Street Profits made their way to the ring ahead of their title match tomorrow night. Special guest referee Jeff Jarrett joined the party and said he takes his job as referee for the match very seriously. The two teams started arguing and Montez Ford shouted “we want the smoke!”.

Jarrett said he only has one job tomorrow night and that is to count to three. A brawl then broke out and Jey Uso accidentally leveled Jeff Jarrett with a Superkick. The Usos helped Double J up and he shoved them away. Street Profits capitalized and shoved The Usos out of the ring. Montez Ford took them out with a flip and celebrated with Angelo Dawkins. Jeff Jarrett stared at The Usos to end the segment.

Max Dupri Returned To Maximum Male Models

Maxxine Dupri introduced the new beachwear collection with Mansoor and Mace. They posed in bathing suits and half shirts before Max Dupri made his triumphant return. Max said that they are here to “titillate the juices of your guilty pleasures”.

Viking Raiders def. New Day & Attacked Xavier Woods

The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) faced The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston tonight on SmackDown. Erik and Xavier started off the action. Woods ducked under a Clothesline and tagged in Kofi. Kingston hit a Crossbody and went for the cover but Erik kicked out at two. Kofi went for a Hurricanrana but Erik awkwardly blocked it before hitting a Clothesline. Ivar tagged in and beat Kofi down as The Viking Raiders took control of the match. Ivar hit Kofi with a Splash against the barricade as SmackDown went to a break.

When SmackDown returned, Woods delivered a Dropkick to knock Ivar out of the ring. Woods followed it up with a Dropkick through the ropes on Ivar and then a Tornado DDT on Erik for a near fall. Kofi hit a Frog Splash but Ivar broke up the cover. Ivar leveled Woods with a boot to the face but turned around into a Superkick from Kofi.

Erik delivered a knee strike to Kingston and tagged in Ivar. Erik sent Kofi to the corner and Ivar hit him with a Senton. The Viking Raiders lifted Kofi up and planted him with a massive Powerbomb for the pinfall victory.

After the match, Erik and Ivar grabbed their shields and brought them into the ring with Kofi. Xavier Woods got into the ring and charged but Erik hit him with the shield. The Viking Raiders threw Kofi to the outside and put Woods’ foot inside a steel chair. They then bashed the chair with their shields and Xavier yelled in agony. WWE officials and Kofi checked on Woods in the ring.

Brock Lesnar Appeared, Drew McIntyre Leveled Theory

Paul Heyman closed the final episode of WWE SmackDown before SummerSlam tomorrow night. Heyman paced around the ring in silence for a bit as the crowd booed. Paul went to introduce himself but the Atlanta crowd chanted his name before he could say it.

Heyman said he serves as special counsel to the one and only Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, the greatest of all time, the Head of the Table, and the Last Man Standing tomorrow night at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns. He stated that Reigns has spent 700 days as the heavyweight champion and nobody done that in 35 years.

Paul claimed that Roman Reigns is going to put Brock Lesnar down for ten seconds at SummerSlam and retain the title. The Beast interrupted and saluted the crowd with his cowboy hat as he made marched down the entrance ramp. Paul held his heart out of fear as Brock circled the ring.

Lesnar slowly walked towards Heyman and Paul started backing away. Theory arrived with the Money in the Bank briefcase and hit Brock a couple of times with it. Lesnar shrugged it off and beat the hell out of Theory with the briefcase. Lesnar took Theory to Suplex City before he escaped out of the ring. Theory stumbled around with the briefcase before turning around into a Claymore from Drew McIntyre. Drew and Brock stared at each other to end the show.

Final Thoughts

BLP ‘The Gang Crosses The Line’ was quite a good show for a weekend full of wrestling and wrestling related content. Konosuke Takeshita vs Nick Wayne was definitely that stand out of all the matches, as many expected it would be. Nick Wayne showed so much heart in this match. Steph De Lander and Billie Starkz had an enticing match up with some great heel tactics from Billie. “Speedball” Mike Bailey, Cole Radrick & Crash Jaxon vs Bang Bros & Jordan Oliver was a good time especially due to the efforts of “Speedball” Mike Bailey in this match. Calvin Tankman is going to make a great new Black Label Pro Champion.

AEW Dynamite Fight For The Fallen Results (7/27/22): Bryan Danielson Returns, Title Matches

AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen aired live from the DCU Center in Worcester, MA. Bryan Danielson made his return tonight and battled Daniel Garcia in the main event. It was also announced that the Undisputed Elite will be returning to AEW on Dynamite next week.

Jon Moxley Retained, Trios Titles Announced

Jon Moxley defended the Interim AEW Championship against Rush in the first match of the night. Rush controlled the match early and knocked Moxley out of the ring. Rush bounced Jon’s head off the chair and Moxley was already bleeding five minutes into the show. Moxley delivered some headbutts to Rush and stomped on him in the corner of the ring. Rush battled back and busted Jon open some more. The action spilled outside the ring again and Moxley launched Rush into the steel steps.

Back in the ring, Moxley and the challenger traded chops to the chest. Rush got the better of the exchange and planted the champion with a release German Suple for a near fall. Rush applied a Crossface in the middle of the ring but Jon was able to escape. Moxley booted Rush in the midsection and unloaded a flurry of kicks to Rush’s face.

Rush connected with an elbow to the face and followed it up with a Belly to Belly Suplex into the turnbuckle. Jon shoved Rush to the canvas and climbed to the top rope. Andrade El Idolo shoved Moxley off the top turnbuckle as the referee was distracted. Lucha Bros chased El Idolo away as Rush connected with a Piledriver on Moxley for a near fall.

Jon dodged a Dropkick and locked in the Guillotine Choke. Moxley followed it up with the Deathrider and went for the cover but Rush kicked out at two. Jon then choked Rush out for the victory in an awesome match. Jon Moxley retains the AEW Championship. Jericho Appreciation Society interrupted. Jericho and Moxley traded some words and it was announced Jon will defend his title against Chris in two weeks. Moxley said he hates the sports entertainment shit that Jericho is doing and wants to battle the Lionheart.

AEW Trios titles were finally announced tonight. There will be a tournament to crown the inaugural champions at AEW All Out.

Ricky Starks Lost The FTW Title & Was Betrayed By Powerhouse Hobbs

Ricky Starks defended the FTW Championship against Danhausen tonight on Dynamite. Danhausen connected with a Northern Lights Suplex for a two count to start off the match. Starks ran into the turnbuckle and Danhausen rolled him up for a two count. Starks then hit a Spear for the pinfall victory. Ricky wanted another challenger to face tonight and HOOK answered the call to a big pop from the crowd.

Starks went for a punch but Hook ducked and unloaded some strikes. Hook followed it up with a Pumphandle Suplex. Ricky caught Hook with a Spear and went for the Roshambo but Hook countered into Redrum in the middle of the ring for the submission victory. Hook is the new FTW Champion. Starks and Hook shook hands after the match.

Ricky then cut a passionate promo about how he is tired of waiting his turn. Powerhouse Hobbs then betrayed Ricky Starks and Team Taz. Hobbs laid out Starks with a Clothesline and followed it up with a Spinebuster.

Sammy Guevara def. Dante Martin

Dante Martin battled Sammy Guevara tonight on Dynamite. Tay Conti and Skye Blue were ringside for the match. Martin connected with a Dropkick and mocked Sammy a couple of times with poses. Dante flipped onto Sammy off the entrance ramp before bringing him back to the ring.

Sammy capitalized and connected with a slam before applying a headlock in the middle of the ring. Guevara launched Dante into the ring post and did a snow angel in the ring for some reason.

Dante sent him over the top rope with a Back Body Drop and went for a springboard move but jumped into a knee strike. Sammy then flipped onto Dante before rolling him back inside the ring. Guevara hit a standing Spanish Fly for a two count. Sammy hit a springboard Cutter and then the GTH for the pinfall victory. After the match, Jericho Appreciation Society attacked but Ruby Soho, Eddie Kingston, and Ortiz broke it up.

Jungle Boy & Christian Cage Traded Words

Jungle Boy cut a promo tonight with Luchasaurus and Tony Schiavone in the ring. Jungle Boy shouted that Christian Cage is the biggest p*ssy in the world to start off the promo. He has watched Cage talk shit about his family and noted that Christian needed money because his wife divorced him.

Jungle Boy brought up his deceased father but Christian Cage interrupted from backstage. Christian told Luchasaurus that he could have guided him but he threw it all away to be Jungle Boy’s lapdog. Cage claimed that he sprinted up the stairway last week to get away from Jungle Boy because he was afraid of what he might do to him. Cage vowed to put Jungle Boy in a body bag so he could cozy up to his father.

Swerve Strickland Picked Up A Win, Josh Woods Attacked Keith Lee

Tony Nese and Mark Sterling battled Swerve Strickland in a Handicap match. Sterling and Nese were in control for the first few minutes before Dynamite went to a commercial break.

When Dynamite returned, Strickland took out Nese and chased Mark Sterling around the ring. Strickland caught up to him in the middle of the ring and hit him with the Swerve Stomp for the pinfall victory. After the match, Keith Lee was attacked backstage by Josh Woods. Tony Nese hit Swerve Strickland with a tag title to the face.

Thunder Rosa Retained The AEW Women’s Championship Match

Thunder Rosa defended the AEW Women’s Championship against Miyu Yamashita at Fight for the Fallen. The action started out back and forth for the first few minutes with neither wrestler getting an advantage. Miyu kneed Thunder Rosa in the midsection and knocked her out of the ring. The champion responded with a Dropkick as Dynamite went to a break.

When Dynamite returned, Rosa and Yamashita traded strikes in the middle of the ring and took control. Rosa planted Yamashita with the Thunder Driver for the pinfall victory. Thunder Rosa is still the AEW Women’s Champion.

Daniel Garcia def. Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson made his return to AEW in tonight’s main event against Daniel Garcia.

Danielson started off the match with a Dropkick to Garcia’s face and knocked him out of the ring. Bryan hit a Suicide Dive but Garcia battled back. Daniel sent Danielson into the barricade before ripping up the padding on the floor to expose the concrete below.

Bryan broke up the referee’s count before hitting some Yes Kicks. Danielson connected with a massive running Dropkick and celebrated with the fans. Bryan climbed to the top rope and delivered another Dropkick.

Danielson sold a head injury and Garcia dragged him out of the ring. Garcia launched Danielson into the steel steps and followed it up with a DDT on the concrete as Dynamite went to the final commercial break of the night.

Daniel Garcia busted Danielson open and booted him in the head a few times when Dynamite returned. Bryan hit a forearm to the face but fell back down to the mat. Garcia kept stomping away at Danielson’s head before hitting some chops to the chest.

Bryan battled back in the corner with a bunch of strikes to the midsection before connecting with a Belly to Back Suplex off the top turnbuckle. Danielson hit Garcia with some kicks to the chest before booting him in the side of the head. Garcia went for a choke but Danielson powered to his feet. Bryan countered into a Tiger Suplex for a two count.

Garcia applied an armbar before reigning down elbow strikes to Danielson’s face. Bryan withstood the strikes and then started elbowing the hell out of Garica. Danielson hit another Suplex for a near fall before firing up the crowd. Bryan went for the Running Knee but Garcia countered with a Clothesline for a two count.

Danielson hit the Running Knee and went for the LeBell Lock but Daniel escaped. Bryan hit another Running Knee off the ring apron and rolled him into the ring. Someone grabbed his leg from under the apron and Garcia capitalized with a Piledriver. Garcia then applied a Sharpshooter and Danielson passed out. It was then revealed to be Jake Hager that tripped Danielson up. Jericho posed with Hager and Garcia over Danielson to close the show.

It’s Official

JD McDonagh came out cutting a promo and teasing he could hurt anybody by breaking their collarbone, including a planted fan and Vic Joseph. He then called out NXT Champion Bron Breakker. 

Breaker stated at Heatwave on August 16th, they will meet and next week, they’ll make it official. JD took a cheap shot and Bron knocked him down. JD took a blood capsule, which was caught on camera.

Zoey Stark opened the show with an in-ring promo. Last week, Stark made her return to television after she had been out of action since October when she suffered a torn ACL & meniscus in a three-way tag team ladder match where she and Shirai were defending the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Stark won a battle royal to earn the right to be the next #1 contender for Mandy Rose’s NXT Women’s Title. 

Stark talked about how she returned to NXT four months ahead of schedule and was originally told she would be out of action for over a year. She said she didn’t know if the fans would remember her. Cora Jade came out and cut a promo about how she had the match won until Stark ruined her moment. Stark called Jade a piece of trash. 

Rose came out and mocked them and said neither of them can beat her. Stark challenged Rose to a title match tonight. Gigi Dolin challenged Stark to a match tonight. Stark will get her title match at Heatwave on August 16th. 

Stark went over in their match with her finisher. Post-match, Jade attacked Stark until Roxanne Perez ran out to make the save. 

Apollo Crews vs. Xyon Quinn

Apollo Crews vs. Xyon Quinn in a singles match took place. Quinn dominated the majority of the match, but it was Crews who went over cleanly. 

Ever since Crews made his return to NXT, Quinn has been reminding him  that he is the next big star and will be waiting for his title shot. Quinn recently cost Crews his match against Giovanni Vinci.

Eight-Man Tag Team Match

Tony D’Angelo’s Family (D’Angelo, Santos Escobar, Raul Mendoza, Joaquin Wilde, and Channing Lorenzo) vs. Diamond Mine (Roderick Strong, Brutus Creed, Julius Creed, & Damon Kemp) was booked in an eight-man tag team match.

Last week, Strong and Kemp were working a singles match when D’Angelo’s Family interrupted as he and his crew beat down The Creed Brothers.Strong raced back to check on Julius & Brutus Creed before challenging them to a match. 

This was the main event of the show that ended with Tony hitting his finisher on Julius.

Giovanni Vinci vs. Bodhi Hayward

Giovanni Vinci vs. Bodhi Hayward was set up last week when the Chase U bus blocked Vinci in the NXT parking lot. 

Hayward hasn’t wrestled on NXT since March when he lost a singles match to Von Wagner. The former Fabian Aichner has won three straight since being repackaged as Vinci.

This was a really good match with Vinci going over.
