WWE Money in the Bank 2022 Results: Ladder Matches, Liv Morgan Cashes In, The Usos vs. Street Profits, Lashley

WWE Money in the Bank aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. There were two ladder matches tonight with the winners getting a future title shot. Ronda Rousey defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya. The Usos and Street Profits battled for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

Liv Morgan Won The Women’s MITB Ladder Match

Becky Lynch, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, Shotzi, and Alexa Bliss competed in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match to begin the show. Becky Lynch and Asuka battled to start off the action. Asuka slammed Lynch on top of a ladder and did the same to Liv.

Raquel then deadlifted the ladder with both of them on it and dropped it to the canvas. Rodriguez bashed Bliss with the ladder before throwing it across the ring. Liv and Becky briefly teamed up but Raquel countered into a double Suplex on top of the ladder. Lacey and Asuka started climbing the ladder but Becky shoved it down.

Evans and Asuka both landed on their feet and attacked Becky before Lacey leveled The Empress of Tomorrow with an uppercut. Lacey almost had the briefcase but Raquel broke it up. Liv Morgan climbed up the opposite side of the ladder and had her hand on the briefcase but Rodriguez blocked it. Liv then connected with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb on Lacey Evans and both superstars fell out of the ring.

Shotzi slammed Alexa Bliss into the ladder in a rough-looking spot. Lynch knocked Shotzi off the ladder and started climbing to the top. Shotzi dragged her back down and went for a Senton but Becky got out of the way. Asuka knocked Big Time Becks out of the ring but Raquel attacked her from behind. Asuka and Raquel brawled to the outside and Raquel set up a ladder between the announce table and ring apron.

Asuka and Rodriguez battled on the announce table. Rodriguez went for a Suplex but Asuka escaped and locked in an Armbar on the floor. Raquel escaped but Becky attacked her from behind. Becky set up Asuka on the ladder and hit a Leg Drop. Back in the ring, Liv and Becky battled on two ladders. Becky shoved the ladder over but Liv bounced off the ropes. Morgan then knocked Becky off the ladder and grabbed the briefcase to win the match. Liv got a huge pop from the crowd as Becky threw a tantrum.

Bobby Lashley Captured The US Title

Theory defended the United States Championship against Bobby Lashley tonight at Money in the Bank. Lashley controlled the action early and shoved Theory out of the ring. The US Champion regrouped and got back into the ring. Lashley hit him with a Spinebuster and Theory retreated to the ring apron. Bobby bashed Theory to the floor and posed for the crowd.

Lashley followed Theory to the outside and tried to send him into the ring post. The US Champ escaped and knocked Lashley to the floor. Theory tried to win via count-out but Bobby made it back into the ring in time. Theory went for a Crossbody but Lashley caught him and sent the champ into the ring post.

Back in the ring, Lashley geared up for the Spear as Theory stumbled to his feet. Theory collapsed to the canvas and faked an injury. Lashley dragged him around the ring and bounced his head off the turnbuckles. Theory exploded out of the corner and leveled Lashley with a Clothesline for a one count.

Lashley went for a Vertical Suplex but Theory escaped and rolled to the ring apron. Theory battled back with a big Dropkick and went for the A-Town Down but the challenger blocked it. Lashley then applied the Hurt Lock for the submission victory. Bobby Lashley is the new United States Champion.

Bianca Belair Retained The RAW Women’s Championship

Bianca Belair defended the RAW Women’s Championship against Carmella tonight at WWE Money in the Bank. Belair was originally supposed to face Rhea Ripley but she was pulled from the match due to injury. Carmella won a Fatal 5-Way on a recent episode of RAW to become the #1 contender.

Belair took Carmella down to start off the match before tossing her to the ring apron. Carmella wanted a break and took her time getting back into the ring. Carmella ripped Bianca down by her hair but the champ popped right up. Belair and Carmella shoved each other before the challenger hit a knee to the midsection.

The RAW Women’s Champion flipped across the ring and taunted Carmella before leveling her with a Dropkick. Carmella rolled out of the ring to buy herself some more time. Belair followed her out there and absolutely leveled her with a shoulder tackle.

Back in the ring, Carmella connected with a Superkick for a near fall and started arguing with the referee. Carmella beat Bianca down in the corner and unloaded several elbow strikes to the face. She followed it up with a Bronco Buster for a two count.

Carmella locked in a submission hold in the middle of the ring and started booting Belair in the face while maintaining the hold. Bianca countered into a cradle for a two count but Carmella knocked her to the canvas again. Carmella got distracted with the crowd and it backfired as Bianca caught her with a Clothesline.

The RAW Women’s Champion unloaded a bunch of strikes before planting the challenger with a massive Vertical Suplex. Belair punched Carmella several times in the corner before dropping her with another lariat. Bianca charged but Carmella leaped out of the way and the champion crashed into the ring post. Carmella rolled Belair up for a two count while using the ropes for leverage.

Carmella quickly hit Belair with a Superkick for another near fall and began arguing with the referee. Belair took advantage and planted Carmella with the KOD for the pinfall victory. Bianca Belair is still the RAW Women’s Champion. Carmella attacked Belair after the match from behind to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

The Usos Retained The Undisputed Tag Team Championship

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) defended the Undisputed Tag Team Championships against Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) tonight at WWE Money in the Bank. The Usos controlled the action early and isolated Dawkins in the ring. Angelo Dawkins connected with a Dropkick and a Spinebuster on Jimmy Uso.

Montez Ford tagged in and set up for the Frog Splash but Jimmy rolled out of the ring. Ford gave the “suck it” motion to The Usos as they slowly got back into the ring. Jey Uso tagged in and beat Dawkins down. Jimmy tagged in and knocked Angelo to the floor outside the ring. Jimmy connected with a dive through the ropes and tagged Jey in. The Usos Suplexed Angelo into the ring post and then threw him down to the floor.

Dawkins got back into the ring as Jimmy gave the “suck it” motion to Montez Ford on the steel steps. Angelo and Jey traded strikes in the middle of the ring. Jey got the better of the exchange and knocked Dawkins to the canvas. Jimmy hit a running forearm to the face and unloaded some punches to Angelo’s face.

Montez Ford finally got the tag and leaped off the top rope right into a Superkick from Jey for a two count. Jey launched Montez into the turnbuckle and started choking him against the bottom rope. Jimmy hit Montez with a cheap shot as Jey posed in the middle of the ring.

Jey connected with a Backbreaker and then tagged in his brother. Jimmy hit Ford with a chop to the chest as Dawkins paced around waiting for a tag. Jimmy choked Montez against the ropes but Montez battled back with a flurry of strikes. Ford went for a springboard move but Jimmy caught him with a right hand to the face.

Angelo tagged in and flipped onto The Usos outside the ring. Back in the ring, Dawkins battled with Jimmy Uso and hit him with a Splash in the corner. Angelo followed it up with a DDT and went for the cover but Jimmy kicked out at two and the match continued. Dawkins leveled The Usos with a shoulder tackle. Ford tagged in and hit a pop-up Back Suplex for a near fall.

Ford connected with a Dropkick to Jimmy to knock him out of the ring. Street Profits delivered a Blockbuster to Jey but he kicked out at two and the match continued. Jey and Angelo then traded punches in the middle of the ring. Jey hit an Enziguri but Dawkins shrugged it off. The Usos knocked him out of the ring and hit Ford with a double Superkick for a near fall.

Ford knocked Jimmy out of the ring and then hurled Jey over the top rope. Montez then cleared the ring post with an insane flip onto The Usos outside the ring. Back in the ring, Dawkins hit the Anointment and Ford followed it up with the Frog Splash from the heavens. Montez went for the cover but Jimmy broke it up at the last moment.

Street Profits and The Usos then had a stare down as the crowd rose to their feet. The two teams traded haymakers in the middle of the ring. Jimmy sent Dawkins to the outside and threw him into the timekeeper’s area. Jimmy tagged himself in and caught Ford with a Superkick. The Usos followed it up with the 1D on Ford for the pinfall victory. The Usos remain the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. After the match, Montez pointed out that his shoulder was off the mat and the match shouldn’t have been stopped. WWE had a video highlight of it ready to go so it appears this feud will continue, which is great news because this match was awesome.

After the match, WWE aired a brief vignette for a mystery superstar.

Liv Morgan Cashed In On Ronda Rousey To Win The SmackDown Women’s Championship

Ronda Rousey defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Natalya at Money in the Bank. Natalya took Ronda down to start off the match and went for a submission hold. Ronda escaped to the ropes. Ronda rolled up Natalya for a near fall. Natalya caught Ronda in an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring.

The SmackDown Women’s Champion escaped but Natalya connected with a Clothesline for a two count. Natalya stomped on Rousey a few times and took a break to pose for the crowd. Rousey battled back with an Arm Drag but Natalya rolled through and got Ronda in another submission hold.

Natalya hit Ronda with some strikes to the midsection while maintaining the hold. Natalya then transitioned into an Abdominal Stretch in the middle of the ring but the SmackDown Women’s Champion refused to give up. Ronda escaped and beat Natalya down in the corner of the ring.

Rousey went for Piper’s Pit but Natalya escaped. Natalya went for a Sharpshooter and then an Armbar but the champion blocked both holds. Ronda then applied the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring but Natalya battled through the pain and reached the ropes to break it up.

Natalya knocked Ronda to the outside and stomped on her a few times against the barricade. She then applied the Sharpshooter on the ring apron but Rousey countered and sent the challenger into the ring post. Back in the ring, Natalya went for the Sharpshooter again but Ronda quickly escaped. Rousey then applied an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring but Natalya escaped. Ronda got Natalya in an Armbar for the submission victory. Ronda Rousey is still the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

After the match, Liv Morgan cashed in the MITB contract as Rousey was hobbling around after match. Morgan rolled Ronda up and won the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Ronda handed Liv the title and congratulated her after the match.

Theory Won The Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Madcap Moss, Riddle, Seth Rollins, Omos, and Sami Zayn competed in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in tonight’s main event. Adam Pearce interrupted right before the match started. Pearce said it has been a very special night here in Las Vegas and stated that he was going to cap off the night by adding to the MITB match. Theory was announced as the 8th superstar in the match, despite not having a qualifying match and losing earlier on the show.

Omos dominated everyone early as Sami Zayn hid behind the ring post. Sami attacked but Omos swatted him away. Riddle went for a Sleeper Hold but Omos slammed him to the canvas with ease. The big man then launched Madcap to the outside but turned around into a Claymore from Drew McIntyre. Omos tumbled out of the ring as Drew set up the ladder underneath the briefcase.

Sheamus sent him to the outside and started climbing. Drew dragged him down and the two started trading punches in the middle of the ring. Theory tried to sneak up the other side of the ladder but they caught him. Sheamus leveled Theory with a Clothesline. McIntyre and Sheamus took turns clubbing Theory across the chest as the crowd chanted along.

Theory tumbled out of the ring as Seth Rollins brought another ladder into the ring. Rollins bashed McIntyre and Sheamus with the ladder and knocked them out of the ring. Seth launched the ladder at them both and then hurled Riddle into the ladder in the ring.

Riddle responded with a Back Body Drop that sent Rollins down on the steel. Sami booted Seth out of the ring and started climbing. Madcap broke it up but Sami tripped him up and Moss fell face-first into the ladder. The “Honorary Uce” wearing a Bloodline t-shirt set up a ladder in the corner.

Madcap beat the hell out of Sami in the corner and launched him into the ladder in the corner of the ring with tremendous power. Zayn bounced off the ladder and flopped around on the canvas like a fish as Madcap set up another ladder under the briefcase suspended above the ring.

Riddle quickly scaled the ladder on the opposite side and traded punches. Omos slammed Madcap down and then hit Riddle with a Powerslam. Theory leaped off the top rope but Omos caught him by the neck. Omos delivered a massive Chokeslam and started climbing the ladder.

McIntyre and Moss broke it up and Clotheslined the big man out of the ring. Riddle and Sheamus started bashing Omos with ladders and throwing them on top of him. They buried Omos under a bunch of ladders on the entrance ramp before Sheamus seized the opportunity to bash everyone with the ladder.

Back in the ring, Sami and Seth traded punches on the top of a ladder. Sheamus set another ladder up and joined in on the fisticuffs. The former United States Champion Theory hobbled up the ladder with Sheamus as the Celtic Warrior sent Sami & Seth down by shoving over the other ladder. Theory knocked Sheamus down but Madcap dragged him off the ladder as well.

Moss planted Theory with a Fallaway Slam and started climbing towards the MITB briefcase. He hopped down to deal with Sami and bashed him with a ladder. Madcap set up a ladder in the ropes and Sami used it as a springboard. Sami almost got ahold of the briefcase but Moss broke it up. Moss hit Sami with a Powerbomb on the ladder (Sami looked to have hit head on the ladder during the spot) but was alright.

McIntyre and Sheamus battled in the ring. Sheamus knocked him to the outside before delivering an Irish Curse Backbreaker to Riddle. Sheamus posed for the crowd and it backfired. Riddle planted him with a DDT and then hit Rollins with a Powerslam. Riddle climbed to the very top rung of a ladder and flipped onto everyone below.

Omos emerged from the sea of ladders and cleared the ring. Omos hit Theory with another Chokeslam and started setting up the ladder under the briefcase. Everyone then dragged Omos out of the ring and sent him through the announce table with a massive Razor’s Edge. Everyone started brawling again and Sami snuck into the ring.

Zayn began climbing but McIntyre broke it up. Drew knocked Sami out of the ring and hit Sheamus with the Future Shock DDT. Drew set up the ladder on top of Sheamus and started climbing. Butch showed up and got McIntyre in a Sleeper Hold. Drew still started climbing but eventually made his way down the ladder. Sheamus hit him with a Brogue Kick and then set up the ladder on his neck.

Sheamus began climbing the ladder and had his hands on the briefcase. Drew tipped the ladder over and Sheamus fell down. McIntyre leveled Butch with a Brogue Kick and set up the ladder in the middle of the ring again. Sheamus dragged him back down and hit a punch. Sheamus thought that was enough and started climbing but Drew joined him on the ladder. Sami then shoved the ladder over and both superstars crashed face-first onto a ladder set up across the ropes in the corner. Zayn then started climbing but Moss shoved him down.

Moss reached for the briefcase but Seth Rollins shoved the ladder over. Rollins delivered the Stomp to Moss before putting the ladder under the briefcase. Seth started climbing but Riddle brought a giant ladder into the ring and hit Seth with it. Riddle started climbing the ladder and Rollins hit him with a bunch of punches to knock him down. Rollins reached for the briefcase but Riddle climbed back up. Riddle planted Rollins with an RKO off the top of the ladder.

Riddle started climbing but Theory met him at the top of the ladder. Theory shoved Riddle over and retrieved the briefcase to win the match. Theory won the Money in the Bank contract and took a selfie with the briefcase to end the show.
