Hollywood Hogan Returns, Claire Lynch Storyline Ends With Big Twist

– TNA also wrapped up the Claire Lynch storyline on Immpact – and she wasn’t even there in person for the angle’s conclusion. Claire Lynch’s attorney revealed that she was never pregnant and that she agreed to blackmail AJ Styles after being approached by Daniels and Kazarian.

Lynch admitted that she drugged AJ Styles and took pictures of him in an effort to blackmail him and make him think he was the father of her child.

D’Angelo Dinero Officially Removed From 2012 BFG Series

TNA’s official site has announced that “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero is officially out of the 2012 Bound For Glory Series.

Last week at Hardcore Justice, The Aces and 8s viciously attacked Dinero, particularly his shoulder, rendering him unable to compete that night in his scheduled Bound For Glory Series match. Following a visit to the doctor, Dinero said he would be sidelined for a few months. Enclosing an image of a broken collarbone, Dinero tweeted, “Looks like Pope will be out of action for a couple months. Damn You Aces & Apes!!! ~PHS.”

Dinero’s news has caused Impact Wrestling to officially eliminate him from the remainder of the Bound For Glory Series. In this year’s format, every wrestler was scheduled to face everyone in the tournament. Dinero had three matches left to compete in, against AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam and Robbie E.

ImpactWrestling.com says Sting will make a decision regarding the matter and those matches tomorrow night on Impact Wrestling on Spike TV at 8/7c.

TNA Wrestling Star Suffers Broken Collarbone, Cooking With Claire Lynch, More

– “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero stated on Twitter that he will be sidelined for a few months.

Enclosing an image of a broken collarbone, Dinero tweeted, “Looks like Pope will be out of action for a couple months. Damn You Aces & Apes!!! ~PHS.”

– A video has surfaced online of TNA Wrestling personality Claire Lynch appearing in an infomercial last year for 360 Cookware, a Stainless Steel Cookware Set. After Lynch was identified online last week as Julia Reilly, an Orlando-based actress and model with a lengthy resume of commercial and acting appearances, she made a concerted effort to erase her Internet presence, including the contents of her official website and YouTube Channel. This video was briefly removed but is now back online with embedding and comments abilities disabled.

Lynch has not appeared on TNA Wrestling programming since her identity was revealed. She was, however, acknowledged on Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling as AJ Styles said he must have been drugged to sleep with a “foot” like Claire. She was also referred to as a “lizard.”

– Past and present TNA Knockouts Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Winter, Rosita and Bonnie “Rain” Maxson are advertised to appear at Boston Super Megafest taking place November 17-18 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel 1657 Worcester Rd. Framingham, Massachusetts. Additional information is available here.

Chris Jericho Talks About TNA Stars He’d Like To Face, Madison Rayne Dedicating Match

– WWE Superstar Chris Jericho was asked on Twitter which TNA Wrestling talents he’d like to have a match with and responded, “Roode, Angle, Samoa Joe, AJ.”

Though Jericho has publicly said that he keeps tabs on TNA and wants them to flourish, it is unlikely that he will ever join the promotion. He has repeatedly stated in interviews that when he wrestles, it will only be for WWE since they are the top wrestling promotion in the world.

– Madison Rayne noted on Twitter that she is dedicating her TNA Women’s Championship Match against Miss Tessmacher tonight at Hardcore Justice to her best friend from high school: “My wrist tattoo says “watched over” in memory of my bff from h/s who passed away. Tonight, on her 27th bday, I’m dedicating my match to her.”

– Magnus faces Mr. Anderson, Rob Van Dam and “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero tonight at Hardcore Justice in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Though RVD is familiar with the specialty bout, Magnus feels he will have the advantage. He tweeted, “Ppl keep saying “this match is RVD’s wheel house”… I know what RVD will do, but they have no idea how to prepare for me tonight…”

AJ Styles Wants TNA To Hold A PPV From The UK

TNA star AJ Styles says it’s time for TNA to hold a pay-per-view event from the United Kingdom, where the company has a strong following.

During a recent interview with the U.K. Sun’s podcast, Styles said:

“What baffles me the most is why we haven’t run a PPV here. That’s what I want to see. And not just any PPV. I want to see Slammiversary here. I want to see Bound for Glory here. These fans, they want it – let’s give it to them. They’ll be there, they’ll watch it.”

Styles acknowledged one of the main issues with holding a pay-per-view event overseas – the time difference would require the show to take place at a very late hour, or be recorded in the afternoon (US time) and then air on tape delay:

“What’s the problem? Let’s get it done. Just tape it. You’d get it a couple of hours late (in the U.S.) but people are going to buy the PPV whether it’s taped or not. They’re going to want to see it. If it’s a money issue, then there are going to be so many people in that arena that it’s not even going to be a factor.”

– WWE Diva Eve Torres was in Los Angeles on Saturday for the “Christmas in July” Be-A-STAR anti-bullying rally.

– WWE Champion CM Punk took a shot at AJ Styles on Twitter this weekend. A fan wrote to CM Punk and said he met AJ Styles at an independent show this week, but Styles would only take a picture of him if he covered up his CM Punk t-shirt. The fan asked Punk if there was any heat between him and AJ Styles, to which Punk responded:

AJ Styles Talks Claire Lynch Storyline, Live Impact, Hulk Hogan

Busted Open satellite radio show with A.J. Styles
Host: Dave Lagreca and Doug Mortman
Airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on Sirius 94 and XM 208 from 2-4 ET

On if there was any thought to dropping the storyline with Dixie Carter after the appearance of Claire: “Absolutely. I thought, ‘This did not go as planned and didn’t come out the way we wanted it to.’ But there’s a backstory to it. It’s almost a blessing in disguise, and I wish I could tell you what hopefully is going to happen, and you’ll be a lot more excited about it because it’s more than you know. There’s so many unexpected things that are about to happen that you never would’ve thought A.J. Styles may have done.”

On the storyline in general: “People can say what they want like, ‘Oh this storyline sucked.’ You watched it. And the thing is, trust me, there’s been a lot worse storylines than this one. At least these guys who are in it, and the women that are in it, are really into it. We believe it.”

On Claire: “Here’s the problem: Nobody knows who Claire is. She’s not important to anybody. We’ve invested zero time in her, but that’s going to change. You will get to know her, as you should. Like I said, there’s a backstory to everything that’s going to happen and has happened. We’re not going to leave any holes. The only hole that I need to address is Serg punching me in the face, which is fine because he punches like a little girl, so I’m OK with that. We never did address that, the fact that it came out and I still haven’t received an apology from him on the phone, text, or anything like that. But like I’ve said, he might as well have hit me with a cotton ball.”

On storylines having holes: “I think that was TNA’s biggest problem in the past; that we always left holes, we left doors wide open. Whatever happened to Samoa Joe and the abduction? There’s a lot of stuff like that that was left open, and that’s unacceptable. I think we’ve done things now to change that. That’s what’s so great about storylines. When you tell them the whole story and you leave nothing out, when it finally comes together at the end, it’s perfect. At least you have the answers to the questions.”

On going live this summer: “Live has made a huge difference. When you go in to the Impact Zone, yeah it’s still the same Impact Zone, but it’s different. That’s what we needed. Honestly, I was getting to where I hated the Impact Zone because it was the same people who were coming who weren’t enjoying it. Or the fact that so many fans who didn’t know about Impact were just there on vacation and were like, ‘Oh, I know Jeff Hardy.’ There was no time invested in the characters that we’ve put so much time into and who’ve been here since the beginning. But now, it’s different.”

On the biggest difference in TNA besides going live: “The communication between the higher-ups and the wrestlers has changed. There was a big deal between Hogan and I, and even Bischoff and I, but that’s all been squashed. That’s in the past. I am so grateful that I get to work with these guys now and understand where they’re coming from and can see this vision. It was just a growing process and getting to know each other and being able to talk to each other about what’s going on and what’s important. It’s a good relationship.”

On resolving his conflict with Hulk Hogan: “We talked about it like men. We got it out of the way. At some point you have to grow up and say, ‘Listen, we have to talk about this,’ instead of avoiding each other, which did happen. A business can’t grow when there’s animosity and friction. We just went out there and worked and tried to make TNA what it is right now, a better company. I think it was a growing process. Did he know A.J. Styles very well? Probably not. And I think that had a lot to do with the problems that we were having in the beginning, because he didn’t know the talent very well. That’s all changed. I don’t want to say something now that will make Hogan think, ‘Oh come on Styles.’ I don’t want to do that. We have a great relationship right now, and I don’t want to do anything to ruin that. It’s a good thing right now.”

On his tag team title match at Slammiversary: “With the talent in the ring at Slammiversary, you can’t go wrong. Kurt Angle suplexing everybody, I’m surprised he didn’t suplex me just for the fun of it! It was amazing, everybody was busting out stuff they haven’t done in a long time, including myself with the shooting star press. I haven’t done that in years, but that was the time to do it. I’m lucky I didn’t kill myself. It was such an awesome match.

“For the first time in a long time, when we were walking to the back, there were people standing up clapping. To get the respect from your peers and the people that you work with, it doesn’t get much better than that. I really enjoyed that match, it’s one of those matches where you’re involved in it, and it’s magic.”

On if we could see him and Daniels back in the X Division vying for the title: “To tell you the truth, nope. I’m not saying it’s a lesser title, but it’s doubtful that you’ll see guys like that in the X Division. I hate to put these guys over, but it’s almost our Intercontinental Championship. A lot of the guys who are really great would wrestle with this belt and make it what it is, but then they’d move on to the heavyweight division and that’s where they’d stay. But I’m not saying it’s not an important title, because it will always be important to me. Being the first guy to win the X Division title, I take pride in that belt.”

On Bobby Roode: “Bobby Roode is probably the best champion we’ve ever had. I think he looks the part, he acts the part, and he’s very good in the ring. He’s got everything you need to be a great champion, and he should be the longest-reigning world heavyweight champion. He does it well, and that belt is bigger than it has ever been because of Bobby Roode. That’s just my opinion, but I think he’s definitely the best world champion we’ve ever had. And don’t get me wrong, I was a world heavyweight champion; he’s good.”

On how much longer he’ll be wrestling: “I would love to give you a specific date, but if I can make it five more years, I’ll be a happy man. I don’t know. My body’s really starting to feel it now. All those bumps and the bumps that I’m going to continue to take are taking their toll on me. Everybody talks about a ‘bump card.’ I’m getting close to the end of my ‘bump card’ but hopefully, I can keep it up for a little bit longer.”

– Scott Steiner has gone on some epic Twitter rants this year, absolutely burying TNA’s booking, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and their kids. While Steiner does have legitimate beef with Bischoff and Hogan, some people in TNA think that Steiner’s real motive for discrediting the Hogan & Bischoff regime is to get his longtime friend Jeff Jarrett back into power.

TNA Sacrifice 2012

He will face Bobby Roode at Sacrifice, which takes place May 13 in Orlando, Florida.

The show kicked off with Hardy and Anderson confronting Roode and staking their claim for his title. Impact Wrestling General Manager Hulk Hogan appeared and made a match for the No. 1 Contender’s spot with Hardy, Anderson and Van Dam.

Kurt Angle stated on Twitter that he will face AJ Styles at Sacrifice. This is a rematch from Tuesday’s Impact Wrestling taping.

AJ Styles Says TNA Can’t Rely On Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam

This week … a VERY special episode of IN THE ROOM on WEXP 1600 AM Philly and TheBradyHicks.com., as Brady Hicks welcomes AJ Styles IN THE ROOM to talk all about the progress TNA has been making, as well as to hype up their appearances at Lockdown this past Sunday night in Nashville.

On TNA’s youth movement, as it stands: “They’re … WE are definitely in a better place. If we’re making new stars, that’s what we need to do. We gotta build that foundation, and it starts by making new stars. You can’t rely on Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy and guys like that who have been around for awhile …. or even AJ Styles for that matter. You have to continue to build new stars to rely on and to keep it fresh.”

On the development of Bobby Roode and James Storm: “I gotta tell you, when those two broke up as a tag team I thought, ‘Oh man, that’s the worst thing that could ever happen to tag team wrestling.’ Literally these guys were the best in the world as a tag team … It’s crazy what has happened with them over time. I can’t say that I don’t want to see this match happen because I do.”

On Being in the locker room with guys like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Sting and Kurt Angle: “It’s a great thing to have around. If you can soak up as much information as they’re putting out. You can only get better with those guys around you … These guys have done a lot in this business. If you can soak up some of that information. The sky’s the limit.”

On his Relationship with Ric Flair: “I soaked up so much information from Ric Flair that I realized he’s kind of a douche-bag. Neither Fortune nor myself wanted to be around him any more. Fortune kind of imploded because of it.”

On Bobby Roode as champion: “Like it or not, Bobby Roode is the best world heavyweight champion RIGHT NOW. The guy is good. You can’t deny that fact. He looks good. He wrestles even better than he looks. This guy is unstoppable at this point in his career.”

On TNA overtaking WWE: “It’s not going to happen overnight. We don’t have the money that the other company has. We just have to take it slow … When we move to0 fast, that’s how you destroy a company.”

All that, plus AJ’s thoughts on competing in the steel cage each year at Lockdown, being a main-event player once again, taking Impact live once again, and on the road, what Fortune did for each member’s career, getting to compete each week against his best friends in the business, and so much more. The full interview is available here.

Scott Steiner Takes Aim At Garett Bischoff In Latest Twitter Rant

Following a series of messages on Twitter blasting TNA Wrestling’s upper hierarchy, Scott Steiner has set his sights on Eric Bischoff’s son Garett. “Big Poppa Pump” says Garett hasn’t earned the right to appear on television and that his high-profile position in TNA is a disservice to the professional wrestling industry. He wrote Friday evening:
