Alberto El Patron Says WWE is ‘Full Of Losers’

This past weekend (Sun. July 2, 2017) former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron (a.k.a. Alberto Del Rio) defeated Bobby Lashley to win the GFW / Impact Championship Unification match at the  Slammiversary XV pay-per-view (PPV). Following the match, El Patron decided to cut a promo on the crowd, who was chanting “you don’t deserve it.”

He started off by giving Lashley props for their match and the war they just went through, and said he’d be happy to shake his hand for every day of his life. El Patron then proceeded to put himself over by calling himself a “bad ass mother f–ker” that has wrestled everywhere around the world – “even that f–king company, WWE” which is full of losers.”

El Patron also went off on how Global Force Wrestling (GFW) is filled with ‘wrestlers’ and not ‘sports entertainers’:

“You gave me the battle of my life,” El Patron said. “And for that, and for these fans – the real fans – let’s do it again. Not for you, not for me, for the [inaudible] of pro wrestling, because we’re not f–king sports entertainers! Bobby Lashley and every single wrestler at Impact Wrestling… in this place, we are not sports entertainers, we are f–king wrestlers!”

WCPW Celebrates 1st Anniversary, Releases ‘Behind the Scenes’ Video

What Culture Pro Wrestling (WCPW) are celebrating their first anniversary this week. The YouTube based company has had an impressive start in the industry, having produced a number of high profile Pay Per View events including the likes of Kurt Angle, Alberto El Patron, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes.

Recent events concerning YouTube’s ‘Adpocalypse’ has seen WCPW in the news for the wrong reasons. Pro Wrestling is now viewed by the streaming service as ‘non-advertiser friendly’ and WCPW has been struggling to earn ad revenue since the change to YouTube’s policy.

Check out the video below for some interesting tidbits from WCPW’s first year in existence.

Alberto Del Rio Reveals How He’ll Help Impact Wrestling After Retirement

Former WWE Superstar and current Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron (a.k.a Alberto Del Rio) recently did an interview for Impact Wrestling during the promotion’s tour of India. Del Rio talked about his plans after retirement from pro wrestling, including how he plans to help Impact after he’s done competing in the ring. Here are the highlights:

For a long time, you were constantly linked with Impact Wrestling, and you finally made your debut earlier this year. Can you tell us what the fan reaction meant to you, with you being one of the top acquisitions for Impact Wrestling in the recent past?

“Oh, all the fans’ welcoming made me very happy. All my videos in the first week with Impact Wrestling went viral. We had more than 4 million viewers – people were just happy. People were talking about it for days, for weeks, because nobody expected to see me at Impact, especially because of all the rumors that said that I was going back to WWE. So for me to be there, make an impact and face Bobby Lashley, becoming the champion on the very first night, it was phenomenal.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rXeo8GqA1Q

We previously talked about how long you see yourself as a professional wrestler. You said you’d be in the business for maybe 3 years. Is that still the case for you?

“Yes, definitely. Definitely. I’m not going to be doing this for too long.I’m tired, I’m just tired. I’m going to stop doing so many shows outside of the United States. I’m going to come back to India anytime they need me with Impact Wrestling. But I’m not going to do so many shows in Europe. I just cancelled my – one of the shows in Chile. I think I’m just going to take two weeks off because I want to go home and rest.

“After India, I have to go home. I think I have to be home for two days and I’m going to do some work. I was supposed to go to Chile but I cancelled it, because I want to take my kids to – I have a house in Orlando. So I’m planning on taking my kids to Orlando for the whole month. I need to rest. My brain needs to rest. And I think this is the perfect time, after this Indian tour.

“It looks like everything is going fantastically in India, and I just want it to be a surprise. I want to go home completely happy, be happy at the end of the tour, at the end of the shows. To go knowing this tour was a complete success.”

What does the future have in store for you?

“Well, I’m going to retire from pro wrestling soon. And if everything goes well, I will stay at Impact (Wrestling) working as an agent, a producer. Everybody loves my work, everybody loves my choreography. Everyone talks about the way I structure the matches and how when someone is in the ring with me, I will elevate that someone. So if that is something I can help with once I retire from my wrestling days, I will be completely happy doing it.

“So, once my in – ring days are over, I will be doing some agent/producer work for the company, and I’m going to continue working with Combate Americas and taking the company to new places, and help that company to grow. I have a lot of plans, a lot of projects outside wrestling, and most importantly, I am going to go home and enjoy with my family.”

Alberto El Patron Shoved At Impact Tapings In India, Alexa Bliss Botches A Kip Up (Videos)

Impact Wrestling recently held tapings in Mumbai, India. Alberto El Patron was celebrating in the crowd and was shoved to the ground when the crowd became too aggressive.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZrRrBqysa8

WWE held a live event in Trenton, New Jersey on June 2nd, 2017. Bayley, Mickie James & Sasha Banks defeated Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox & Nia Jax. Alberto El Patron Says WWE is Terrible For The Business of Pro Wrestling

Former WWE Superstar and current Impact Wrestling star Alberto El Patron (a.k.a. Alberto Del Rio) recently did an interview with Sports Illustrated’s “Extra Mustard” to talk on a view pro wrestling topics. Here are the highlights:

His work with Impact Wrestling:

“I am so happy to work with Impact Wrestling. I have nothing but respect for them. Unlike another company, who I don’t watch, I don’t follow, and I don’t even look at their tweets. I have some real beef with some of the people in that company.”

WWE being dramatically larger than any other promotion in pro wrestling:

“It’s horrible for the business, but you cannot blame that company. That company is doing what a company is supposed to do—monopolize, get the best talent from everywhere, and try to destroy the competition. They’re smart, you cannot blame them. The problem is with the talent. Just going there to be there with the promise of being on TV, but not even charging good money for your work, is not good business. We as wrestlers need to remember that this is a business. We started because we love the business and we stay in it because we have a lot of passion for it, but you have to be rewarded for your work. I was there and saw some of the main guys, new top heels and new top babyfaces, get paid nothing for their matches. The new talent joining NXT is taking pay cuts to work there, sometimes even 80 percent less. You need to be rewarded for your work in a business.”

What his goals are moving forward in his career:

“I’m planning on retiring in two years. I’m still good to go and I don’t have any major injuries, but I always promised myself I would leave on top. I started wrestling when I was eight years old with the amateur wrestling team in Mexico. I love the business with all my heart, but my body is getting tired. It’s all the travel. I’m going to do my last two years with Impact Wrestling. I’ll continue to do some indie shows here and there, and I have a lot of projects outside the business. I am going to continue running Combate Americas, the MMA company that I work for, and I am going to start a soap opera in Mexico in two months. We also have a reality show produced by Combate Americas that was sold to Amazon. People should be able to see that in three more months. I opened a restaurant and bar in San Antonio in November. We are the place to go on Fridays and Saturdays. God is blessing me. I’m getting married pretty soon. We changed the date twice, but we’re getting married in the last week of July, so I am keeping very busy outside the business.”

Paige Says Her Engagement Ring Was Stolen

WWE Superstar Paige took to Instagram to note that her engagement ring from former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio had been stolen from their hotel room. Del Rio went out and bought the former Divas Champ a brand new rock as a result, which you can check out below:

“Also he just keeps killing it with these rings. Unfortunately mine got stolen from our hotel room so he knew how heart broken I was and went and got a brand new one! This one is obviously different but it’s even more beautiful. He had me crying on the plane. This is my hubby ladies and gentleman, isn’t he just perfect?!?!?! After over a year and still have butterflies for my man. Always have and always will…”

Alberto El Patron was expected to be part of WCPW’s latest iPPV ‘No Regrets’ that took place in Newcastle, England last night.

WCPW posted a tweet claiming that El Patron could not compete due to an undisclosed illness. It may well be the case that El Patron was in fact unable to compete however he posted the following tweet the morning before he was scheduled to face Joe Coffey for WCPW:

Alberto El Patron Officially Signs With Impact Wrestling, Kenny Omega Talks Bullet Club

– Alberto El Patron is now officially under contract with Impact Wrestling, according to a report at PWInsider.com. During a recent interview with FightfulWrestling, Alberto revealed that he’s been working for Impact Wrestling under a ‘handshake agreement’ with Jeff Jarrett.

“[Jarrett] was like, ‘Do you want to do a contract just for a week so you can see what we are going to be doing’? I said, ‘No, let’s do it the way gentleman do it. Let’s shake hands and I’ll go work for you. I will trust you. You know me and know I always deliver and what I bring to the table. I will do those four TV tapings and after those TV tapings we will sit down. If you don’t think my work is worth what I’m asking for then you say right there and I’ll give you a big discount’.”

It’s worth noting that Alberto El Patron told Fightful that he intends to retire from active competition when he’s done working for Impact Wrestling.

“At the moment, we are closing the final details of what is going to be my contract,” Alberto said last week. “Then, I will be joining TNA for good and retire in the company.”

– New Japan Pro Wrestling star Kenny Omega spoke with The Irish Mirror prior to competing at Over The Top Wrestling’s ScrapperMania III event in Dublin, Ireland at Dublin’s National Stadium this past Saturday night. When asked about the message the Bullet Club is looking to send, Omega said:

“We always had this message that we wanted to tell the people. To finally spread it to a larger fan-base… to spread our message of what pro wrestling should be, what we think it can be, to more people worldwide, that makes us happy. That makes us want to travel more and give these live performances in places that we’ve never been before.”

Alberto El Patron: Triple H Just Married Well, He’s A P*ssy with a Big Nose and No Balls

Rumours that WWE would like to bring back Alberto El Patron have been circulating lately, though it is doubtful Vince has been following Alberto’s numerous drunken periscope rants directed at his son-in-law.

Late last night Alberto and friends were out at La Cantanita in San Antonio (a bar/restaurant owned by El Patron), when somehow he was up singing with the band as the periscope stream started rolling.

https://twitter.com/IanisaGoodDude/status/852866011258814464

  • Here is the link to the entire stream (about 4 minutes)

Alberto El Patron Periscope Highlights

Some of El Patron’s comments are a little hard to decipher, but here are the highlights:

“We are happy people, my wife and I. Some people was saying stupid stuff about us, and about me saying stuff about Triple H, Triple H you are a *expletive* p**sy, and I don’t have to be drunk to say this, you’re a pu**y”. You just married well, that’s all you did. You married well and you’re a p**sy. “

Alberto then returns to singing with the band for a moment as Paige awkwardly and silently appears in front of the camera.

“Come to La Cantanita and I’ll say it again. I don’t have to be drunk or sober. You’ve got a big nose and no balls”

Alberto El Patron: Most People In WWE Are P*ssies, Including The One With The ‘Big Nose’ (Video)

Impact Wrestling wrestler Alberto El Patron posted a series of videos on Periscope on Thursday night and pulled no punches while talking about WWE and the “p*ssies” who work there.

Alberto, joined by WWE Superstar Paige, says “thank god” he doesn’t work for that ‘PG’ company anymore.

In the weeks following Paige’s recent privacy breach, Alberto posted a message on Instagram implying that WWE might have been behind the leak in an effort to destroy his ‘baby.’ Alberto continued that line of claims, stating that, “I know it was you, motherf*cker” who did this to him and his baby. He says he’s going to prove it was them.

Alberto says people used to think that Paige was the crazy one, but Paige jokes that she’s actually the normal one in the relationship. Alberto says he used to be very angry when he worked in WWE, claiming that most of the people who work there are “a bunch of p*ssies” – including ‘the one with the big nose.’

3. Alberto El Patron vs. EC3

For the second week in a row El Patron faces a top talent on Impact. After a back and forth match with Patron concentrating on EC3’s arm, it looked as though EC3 was going to use a chair and get himself DQ’ed. He had second thoughts however, and his hesitation was just the opening Patron needed to hit a kick to the face and lock him in the arm bar. EC3 tapped and commentary played up that he has never done that before.
After the match El Patron clapped for Ec3 and the fans chanted for him. El Patron says that EC3 gave him one of the best matches of his career.
Winner: El Patron via submission

Backstage:
Reno Scum cut a promo backstage, say they are in Impact to win the tag team championships. They then said “Oi!” into the camera several times.

EC3 is upset backstage after his loss, Bruce Pritchard attempts to calm him down but we don’t get any audio.

4. X-Division Championship Match
4-Way
Suicide vs. Andrew Everett vs. Braxton Sutter vs. Trevor Lee (c) w/ Shane Helms

Several back and forth X-division spots were followed by Laurel Van Ness coming to ringside, still in her wedding dress. She waved and blew kisses at Allie until Sienna came to the ring. Sienna told the Allie and Braxton Sutter they would meet their “tragic demise”.

Tag Team Division Turmoil

Bruce Pritchard came out to address the tag team title situation, which brought out several teams from the division. Pritchard announced that in 2 weeks there would be 4 teams competing for the championships. Reno Scum, Laredo Kid & Garza Jr, and Decay were already out there so there was only one spot left.

The returning LAX crashed the party and took out everyone in the ring. This new version of LAX includes old members Konnan and Homicide along with new members Mike Draztik, Angel Ortiz and Angel Rose.

Alberto El Patron Surrenders Impact Wrestling World Championship

Alberto El Patron has surrendered the Impact Wrestling World Championship. Last week on Impact, Patron made a surprise debut and scored a pinfall victory Bobby Lashley. However, he got the win after smashing Lashley in the face with the title.

During a meeting with Impact Wrestling board members including Bruce Prichard and Dutch Mantell, it was decided that El Patron’s victory be overturned due to the controversial nature of the finish. El Patron resisted at first, but admitted it was the right thing to do when prompted to consider how his father, Mexican wrestling legend Dos Caras, would handle the situation. He agreed to give up the title with the assurance that he’ll get a rematch against Lashley. Prichard and Mantell said he can have a rematch if Bobby Lashley agrees to it. (See below)

Many fans have been speculating this storyline will serve as an opportunity for Impact Wrestling to introduce a new championship belt that does not feature the retired “TNA” name on it. Tune in to Impact Wrestling this coming Thursday on Pop for the latest.

Alberto El Patron Joins Impact Wrestling

Former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron has officially joined Impact Wrestling. Alberto made his debut at Thursday night’s TV tapings and made a serious impact that you can watch on next week’s episode. We held off on mentioning the surprise debut to avoid spoilers, but Impact broke the news themselves this afternoon:

Alberto was referred to “Alberto De Patron” at last night’s tapings, but it seems he’s back to El Patron (?).

Earlier today, Alberto El Patron / De Patron / El Presidente posted the following on photo and message on Instagram. It sounds like he’ll be sticking around for a while, as he talks about Impact Wrestling being his new home. He also said it’s nice to not “wake up miserable” due to an unpleasant work environment and put the Impact Wrestling locker room over as being supportive of each other and watching each others matches backstage.

Why WWE Never Did War Games, Alberto Hosting Rumble Viewing Party With WWE Stars

– During a recent edition of his popular Something To Wrestle With podcast, former WWE & TNA employee Bruce Prichard shed some light on why WWE has never done a War Games match.

“[McMahon] hates the double ring. He hates the double ring thing. I tried to sell the two-ring battle royal for years. He hated the double ring thing. He didn’t like the guys going in at intermittent times and the way it was always done with the heels having the favor of the babyfaces, but then you fast forward to Elimination Chamber. It was just one of those things. It was a WCW creation and he didn’t care for it.”
