– Earlier this week, Triple H sent out a replica WWE Championship to the Houston Astros for winning the 2017 World Series. During the Astros parade in Houston on Friday afternoon, right fielder Josh Reddick showed off the gold and quoted the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
– RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, Intercontinental Champion The Miz, and Nia Jax were given a tour of UK Parliament in London from politician Tulip Siddiq. Here are some pictures:
RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss attended last weekend’s Ringside Fest in New York City and took part in an interview discussing her goals in WWE and her dream opponent. Here are some highlights of what she said about:
Her goals in WWE:
“I want to be in the main event at Wrestlemania. I think it’s something that, even if it’s not me, women in general… it’s our next step in the WWE Women’s Revolution is to have our women main event Wrestlemania, and I don’t think it’s that far off.”
How it feels to have her own action figure and young fans looking up to her:
“It’s amazing. When I was younger, I always had a doll with me. And it’s amazing that we can have these empowering women in WWE be dolls and role models for young girls, because I know I always had my doll with me. The fact that we can be that for little girls is amazing.”
Her dream opponent:
“Trish Stratus. Absolutely. I watched Trish growing up, I think she’s an amazing performer and I would love to have a match against her.”

Speculation over the Survivor Series Champion vs Champion matches has been cast by wwe.com. A RAW preview has stated that while Brock Lesnar and Jinder Mahal are set, other title holders may not be champions by Survivor Series.
“Though anything can happen in WWE, Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman seem fairly focused on WWE Champion Jinder Mahal, so perhaps The Beast is secure for the time being. But, that same cannot be said for all other Raw titleholders.”
The main focus of the preview from WWE was on Alexa Bliss’ title. With Mickie James and Asuka presenting themselves as the most obvious and lethal of threats
“Alexa Bliss has consistently represented Team Red as a formidable Raw Women’s Champion, but her attempts to brag about her successful title defense against Mickie James at WWE TLC were spoiled by the six-time Women’s Champion, who took out Little Miss Bliss with a wicked DDT last week on the red brand. Without a doubt, Mickie isn’t done with the “goddess.””
The statement further suggests that Asuka is likely to go after the RAW Women’s Championship and look to continue her undefeated run. A WWE poll also asked fans to vote for who they think should be the superstar to end Asuka’s amazing performance; the current winner of that poll is Charlotte Flair.
The last superstar to be cast with doubt over his title was The Miz:
“In his collective reigns, The Miz has held the Intercontinental Title longer than all but two past Superstars, but can The A-Lister remain champion if he continues to antagonize dangerous forces such as Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and The Shield in his never-ending search for respect?”
Either Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose could aim to pick up the Intercontinental Championship, but the preview suggested that they would be more focused on retaining their Tag Team Championships ahead of the PPV in November. And with a successful return to the ring at TLC, the Intercontinental Championship seems a bit beneath Kurt Angle at this stage in his career.
However it wouldn’t be too far-fetched for Kurt Angle to throw other superstars towards The Miz who could pick up the IC title from The A-Lister.
The main superstar to be under threat is Alexa Bliss. I believe that Asuka has the best chance at gaining the title as she continues her spectacular run, but I can’t see why WWE would want to suddenly change the title over, 3 weeks before Survivor Series.
Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently spoke to Gabi Duncan for E! News while promoting next week’s Total Divas Premiere. Below are some of the highlights from her latest interview:
On hoping to share her message of body positivity on Total Divas:
“I’m really big on body positivity, so I’m hoping to get that across with this platform. When I was dealing with my eating disorder, I didn’t really have anyone to look up to that was going through that or had gone through it. I just want to be the person that I wish I had when I was struggling through it because I know body image is an issue with both girls and guys and eating disorders are a big part of that.”
On overcoming her eating disorder and finding success:
“[Eating disorders] can happen to anybody, but it doesn’t need to define you. You can be successful afterward and it doesn’t need to consume your whole life. Of course, every time you talk about something that’s sensitive to you, it is hard, but each time it gets easier and easier.”
Advice Nikki Bella gave her before the show:
“She was like just have fun with it and make it real. She told me the most important part is to not let it overwhelm you. Just have fun with it. She’s been one of those people that I really look up to career-wise because she’s just so awesome and so helpful.”
WWE Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with The New York Post to talk about a variety of professional wrestling topics. Bliss opened up about her battle with anorexia, becoming the RAW Women’s Champ, and earning the respect of her fellow competitors in the locker room. You can check out the highlights here:
Her battle with anorexia:
“Oh gosh, I was a completely different person. It controls you and it consumes you in so many different ways. I remember my mom sitting me down and telling me I was in the hospital and she was like, ‘You are probably going to die from this’ because the doctors were telling her 1 in 4 people die from it and I was going to be that one because my body wasn’t responding. My heart wasn’t responding.
“Everything was just going downhill and I didn’t see it. Your brain doesn’t see it. I remember being in the hospital and not knowing why. That is why I try to be so open about it because people going through it, it consumes them and you tell them it doesn’t have to. You can move past your eating disorder and not let it have control over your life anymore.”
Becoming RAW Women’s Champ:
“It’s been an amazing journey that I’ve had with WWE. I always think about the first day I came to FCW at the time. I remember walking in and I had sparkly-sequence UGG boots on, sparkly-sequence jacket on and matching sequence backpack. The head instructor, Bill Dumont, goes. ‘What are you?’ I was just like, ‘I’m Lexi.’ I didn’t know what else to say. You could probably see me from space. I was very just like not knowing anything and watching the girls on the first day. I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, they are so good.’ That day I didn’t think I would ever be able to get to their level and to have the opportunity to be champion has been absolutely incredible.”
Earning the respect of her fellow competitors in the locker room:
“Oh god, I don’t know if I still have it now. It’s one thing coming in, not being a part of the indies stuff like that and doing well. It’s another to now be part of the indies and be champ. It’s an ongoing thing, but the girls that I work with now are amazing. When I came up to SmackDown I was super nervous. I never really worked with these girls before. I have to say, the group of women I was drafted with to “SmackDown Live” were the most welcoming and most amazing women I’ve ever worked with.”

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently spoke with Vulture Hound to discuss the state of women’s wrestling, wanting to end Asuka’s winning streak and the possibility of a women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber match. Here are some highlights of what she said about:
The possibility of a Women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber match:
“I would love to see that happen. I think it (Royal Rumbe) would be a lot of fun and a nice little step to elevate our division, show that it’s still progressing and take it to the next level. I think it (the Elimination Chamber Match) would be amazing. It’s definitely pushing the bar up for the women’s revolution. Yeah, it’s a scary stipulation, but I think it would be well worth it to bring it to the next level.”
Wanting to end Asuka’s winning streak:
“I don’t feel like I would want a stipulation match against Asuka, just because I feel like she’s this unbeatable Superstar and I would just want to get in the ring with her and see if I could be the one to end her streak. I’m really excited for Asuka to come to RAW. We’re always looking to take it to the next level and I think Asuka has a lot to offer that can help us do that.
I really want to see what she can do because I trained with Asuka in NXT for a year or two, so I’ve seen her develop and grow, transitioning between styles of wrestling and I’m really excited to see her on the main roster and see what she can do. I’ve never faced her on a televised event. I would love to have a PPV match with Asuka. I would love for her to take my title and be the first person to ever beat Asuka. To show the world that she’s really not that unbeatable.”
The importance of diversity in the Women’s Division:
“That’s the one thing that WWE is great at. We have literally every type of woman on our roster. Everyone defines beauty and strength differently and I think we have a person that represents that for everybody. It’s very refreshing. I know when I was growing up an only child, in sports, I saw my coaches more than I saw my parents. I felt that I didn’t really have somebody to relate to.
I feel like for kids who get involved in sports and girls who have body image issues, I want to be the person I wish I had to look up to, to show that you can succeed no matter what. Staying active is very important and it can lead you to amazing things.”
Other topics discussed include her time as a body builder, the Mae Young Classic, training with Sara Amato and Terry Taylor in NXT and more.
WWE Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with NBC Sports to promote her title defense against Mickie James at tonight’s (Sun. October 22, 2017) Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV). “Little Miss Bliss” discussed how she found her voice while in NXT, her match with Mickie James tonight not having a stipulation, and how she adjusted her personality when she was cast as a member of the Total Divas reality show. You can read the highlights here:
How she found her voice in NXT:
“I watched back our first few NXT matches together when I was managing them and realized that I was just silent. I wasn’t doing anything, I wasn’t saying anything. I was just looking at them in silence. And I was like ‘Hmm, well that’s nothing.’ I remember specifically trying more and more to be mean and I was trying to think of a character that’s relatable and I was like oh my gosh, a mean girl from high school. Everyone knows her. Everyone had one. Some people were her and no matter how mean she was, you still voted for her for homecoming queen.
“I was like I want to be that girl because I knew that girl in high school. I knew a few of those girls in high school. I knew that everyone did. So that was my main motivation was to be that girl. I get my inspiration from movies and a lot of the time I’ll actually people-watch when I’m at the airport. William Regal told us to people-watch because you can get your best motivation from them. I’ll notice little mannerisms that irritate me and I know they will irritate other people.”
Her match with Mickie James tonight not having a stipulation:
“I’m OK with it being a normal one-on-one [match]. Of course stipulations are always cooler and more fun, but I feel like if we were to do a stipulation match it would have to be something that was driven towards the storyline that we’re doing right now. I’m talking about her being old, so it should be like a walker match.”
Adjusting her personality after being cast on Total Divas:
“I had a little bit of an adjustment period for sure because I’m so used to when the camera is on, I turn into Alexa Bliss, this mean, ‘attitudy’ character. So I had to get out of that because our first filming was at TV. So, I’m in a work environment and it was just a different camera, so as soon as the camera came on I was thinking ‘Wait, I can’t be that way, I have to be me.'”

WWE Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was recently interviewed by Bleacher Report to promote her title defense against Mickie James tomorrow night (Sun. October 22, 2017) at the Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV). “Little Miss Bliss” discussed wanting to improve inside the ring, being drafted to the WWE main roster, and being a part of Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance. You can check out the highlights here:
Wanting to improve inside the ring:
“I’m still working on my in-ring ability. I know I’m not the best in [the] ring. I try to get better with every match. I go to the [WWE Performance Center] and try to refresh my skills and learn new ones and bring that into my matches.”
Being drafted to the WWE main roster:
“Opportunities, you have to make the most of them. You have to run with it. And I know I was one of the most underwhelming draft picks because I hadn’t done much on NXT. I hadn’t had a TakeOver match. I hadn’t won the title. I had valeted the majority of my career. And I knew I just had to just kick down the door.”
Participating in Triple H’s WrestleMania 30 entrance alongside Sasha Banks and Charlotte:
“That was one of the best moments ever. I remember walking out and just hearing 80,000 people, and Triple H turned to all of us and told us, ‘This is just the beginning for you guys.’ Eighty-thousand people are here to see this match, to watch this show. To have that moment, it was definitely very motivating. I want that moment. I want to work my way up and have a match where that many people are cheering for me. It was really eye-opening.”

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss spoke to the New York Post this week about Nia Jax taking time off from WWE. Amid reports that Jax has been frustrated with her character’s booking and financial compensation, Bliss says she’s spoken to Nia about her situation at length and cited WWE’s demanding schedule as a possible reason for her absence.
“We have talked about it a lot,” said Bliss. “Whatever she is going through, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a leave of absence. She’s taking some time off because our schedule it very grueling.”
She continued, “It’s very, very demanding. There are times where you are run down and your body can’t do it anymore and you get sick or you get injured from it and you get tired.”
Bliss acknowledged that the constant travel takes a toll on everyone and understands the burnout factor. Sticking with the narrative that Nia Jax’s leave of absence is related to simply ‘needing a break,’ she said,
“So, I feel like everyone needs a reset every once in a while. In NXT I took a few resets and it was never like public knowledge, but we all need them. We all take them once in a while. I am happy when she comes back. I feel like everyone needs that refresher week or refresher moment.”
As for Nia Jax’s future with WWE, Alexa Bliss is convinced everything will be resolved. “Absolutely, no doubt in my mind.”
Wrestling fans who collect Funko Pop vinyl figures will have a few more Superstars to add to their collections this holiday season.
The company announced on Tuesday that Braun Strowman, The Rock, Razor Ramon and Alexa Bliss are the latest Superstars to get the Funko treatment. They’re due out in December.
The Razor Ramon and Rock dolls will be limited edition ‘chase’ offerings.
Check out these photos of the latest WWE Universe Funko Pop characters:
– Ring Of Honor (ROH) World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes recently took to Twitter to thank last night’s (Fri. October 13, 2017) Pittsburgh crowd for their insane reaction to The Bullet Club:
Magical crowd. That's the loudest for the longest I've ever heard the fans. Thank you Pittsburgh. Next stop…Columbus. pic.twitter.com/WOfVdRnwua
– WWE posted the following match from last year’s Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV) between Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship. The match was a Tables match between Bliss and Lynch in which “Little Miss Bliss” won after Powerbombing Lynch through a table. Check out the full match here below:
RAW’s Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, recently spoke to Channel Magazine about the “Unleash Your Warrior” breast cancer campaign and why pink is her favourite colour. The interview also included comments on her relationship with Nia Jax, working with Mickie James in the ring, and Asuka’s arrival to RAW. Here are some highlights:
How Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax first met:
“We have the talent help out with the tryouts to make sure everything goes smoothly or if someone who is doing the try out needs help. I remember during the talent lunch break, Nia comes up to me as I’m doing cardio on the treadmill. She just comes up to me and starts talking to me like she has never met a stranger in her life. We instantly clicked and have been best friends ever since.”
Working with Mickie James in the ring:
“Mickie is so amazing because she has so many ideas. She is a wealth of knowledge since she has been in the business for so long. She is super sweet and open to ideas. I’m looking forward to continuing our program. She always says, ‘Well, I’m six one way and half dozen the other.’ We always go that she makes scrambled eggs. That’s not a thing she taught us. If it doesn’t work out today, it will tomorrow. Six one way and half dozen the other. It happens. Things can work out tomorrow. She is very casual that way, which keeps it a stress-free environment. That is so nice to have.”
However, at the bottom of the article Bliss mentions the arrival of Asuka to RAW at TLC on October 22nd, stating that:
“I know after the Four Horsewomen, any women that comes up after has to be the evolution to the women’s revolution. I think Asuka is just the person to do that. We are all excited about being a part of everything happening.”
It’s clear that talent is not missing from the Women’s division, on RAW or SmackDown Live, but Asuka appears to be setting the bar higher than ever before. This is even more apparent as we see superstars fighting over who gets to be involved in Asuka’s first match at RAW’s next PPV: TLC
Opinion: As Alexa says in the interview, it’s a great time to be part of the women’s division on RAW. “Evolution of the Women’s Revolution” sounds like a beautiful piece of marketing and this should be used to be prepare the WWE Universe for Asuka’s arrival and the step up that will come with it.
I think that Asuka vs Charlotte is the ultimate goal, but neither of them will be moving brand before Wrestlemania in April so we’ll have to wait to see all potential dream match ups.
Alexa Bliss insulted six time Women’s Champion Mickie James on RAW last week and called her an “old lady”. Bliss continued to poke fun at Mickie tonight on RAW by placing diapers in her locker room. Mickie tried to confront Bliss in her locker room but Nia Jax got in the way.
Nia Jax and Mickie James then faced off on RAW. Mickie hit a Tornado DDT off the turnbuckle and had the match won but Alexa Bliss broke up the pinfall. Alexa then started to attack Mickie James and Nia Jax was disqualified.
Mickie James got the last laugh and booted Alexa in the face on the entrance ramp. Mickie was later interviewed backstage and said that she wanted to become RAW Women’s Champion. RAW General Manager Kurt Angle appeared and said that Mickie James will get a shot at the RAW Women’s Championship based on her history and her performance tonight.
Alexa Bliss will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Mickie James at WWE TLC on October 22nd.
Tonight on RAW, Bayley made her return to the ring in her hometown of San Jose. Bayley came down to the ring after the match between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss. Nia won the match, but Sasha Banks attacked her after the victory. Nia slammed Sasha to the mat and Bayley came down to the ring for the save.
Bayley, Sasha and Alexa Bliss then teamed up for a moment to knock Nia out of the ring. Sasha and Bayley started to celebrate and Alexa tried to join in on the fun. That didn’t go too well for the RAW Women’s Champion, as Sasha kneed her in the face and Bayley then planted her with a Bayley to Belly Suplex. Sasha and Bayley then celebrated in the ring.
It was then announced that Bayley will join the RAW Women’s Championship match at No Mercy. Alexa Bliss will now defend her title against Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax and Emma in a Fatal 5-Way match this Sunday.
– During a segment that saw Alexa and Nia reacting to the news that Asuka is coming to RAW, Alexa apologized to Nia for slapping her last week and asked if they could go back to being best friends. Nia said she might not want to be her friend after knowing that she spoke to Kurt Angle and set up a match between them next week on RAW.
– During a commercial break at Monday’s WWE RAW, Nikki Bella made a surprise appearance with her Dancing With The Stars dance partner Artem Chigvintsev. Season 25 of DWTS premieres next Monday, September 18th and will air head-to-head each week against RAW.
During RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss’s recent appearance on Lilian Garcia’s Chasing Glory podcast, Bliss discussed her early struggles with promos and how pairing up with Revival member Scott Dawson in promo class at the WWE Performance Center really helped her get more comfortable on the mic.
“I started getting comfortable in promos when I was partnered with Scott Dawson in NXT. It never debuted on TV, but I was playing his girlfriend in promo classes for like a few months and that’s what really kind of got me comfortable with promos because I was out of the box, I was reenacting, I was reacting off of people, you know?”
Footage of Bliss and Dawson as a couple has been circulating online and you can check it out here:
Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently joined former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory, to talk about her run through WWE. Bliss discussed her journey through WWE, how much of a challenge it was to be accepted as a wrestler, learning how to cut a promo, and her friendship with Nia Jax. You can check out the highlights here:
Her journey in WWE:
“My trainer, Mike at the time had told me that he had heard that WWE was having tryouts and so I went online on WWE.com and there was actually a link and it was like, ‘Do you want to be a WWE Superstar?’ I was like ‘Yes I do!’ So I clicked on it and it had all these instructions, it was like, ‘Make a video, do this, do that, send in the video.’ I made a video trying to cut a promo, you know just trying be as Diva as I could I guess. I sent it in and didn’t think anything would come of it and I got a call from Canyon saying, ‘Hey, we’re actually having a casting call in LA and we’re going to send you out there for a day and like, see how that goes.’
“Went to the casting call, I walked in and Triple H was in there and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re Triple H!’ Like I totally had that fangirl moment, cause you know watching it and then seeing somebody for the first time and you’re just like, ‘Oh my gosh that’s so cool!’ So I just started talking and talking and talking about like these just terrible wrestling ideas I had. I was like, ‘I want to be like The Great Kabuki, but with the Green Mist I want to blow glitter-I want to spit glitter out!’ Just like all these kinds of things and I’m sure he thought it was a terrible idea.”
“And then I was told I made the thirty day trial after that which was you get in the ring for thirty days and you know, just learn as much as you can and they pick you from there. I got a call on the flight home saying I made it to the thirty day trial. I was super stoked and then I got a call a week later saying that I wasn’t going to the thirty day trial and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ Canyon was like, ‘We’re going to sign you. You’re going to move to Florida if you pass medical. Let’s just hope you’re as athletic as you look.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, no pressure.’ So it was basically WWE just kind of taking a chance on me, you know what I mean? Just giving me a chance and I knew I had to run with it as much as I could.”
Being accepted as a wrestler:
“I didn’t wrestle before coming here. There’s a respect thing here, you know what I mean? This whole business is based on respect and because I wasn’t wrestling in the indies beforehand, it was very hard to be accepted. It was very very hard because it’s a whole culture here, you know what I mean? You have to learn and it wasn’t the fact that anyone was telling me what to do, it was I had to learn by messing up. And so because I didn’t know these girls, I didn’t know these ways, you know it was very hard to adapt, it was very difficult and I was very lonely for a really long time.
“Coming into NXT, Charlotte took me under her wing immediately and saw you know, how I wasn’t being accepted because of my background, they just saw me as another fitness model coming in and I had never done fitness modeling and it irked me so bad anytime anyone would call me a fitness model, you know what I mean? These girls were so good and they already knew, you know the fundamentals, they knew the psychology, they knew everything that I had just come into this, you know what I mean? And one of the people that helped me a lot through that too was Shaul Guerrero. I became really close with Shaul in NXT and she always had my back for everything and she would help me as much as she could, Charlotte helped me as much as she could and they became my really good friends from that. It was super helpful because you know I had been in a locker room with girls my entire life, but when you go somewhere that you’re not used to, it’s kind of like a little bit of a culture shock.”
Learning to cut a promo:
“My mom helped me a lot. We’d have promo classes in NXT once a week and me and my mom would make it our thing to come up with a promo and it would be fun. So I was always doing these promos in front of my mom and she’d be like, ‘Hmm, that didn’t sound very convincing.’ She would just be like honest, you know what I mean? It was just like in cheer when I would have a routine, she would be like, ‘Stop, start over again, stop, start over again.’ So it’s kind of like the same kind of thing with promos and then we had Dusty (Rhodes) as a promo coach who was amazing. He was brilliant at everything he did. I started getting comfortable in promos when I was partnered with Scott Dawson in NXT. It never debuted on TV, but I was playing his girlfriend in promo classes for like a few months and that’s what really kind of got me comfortable with promos because I was out of the box, I was reenacting, I was reacting off of people, you know?
“When I joined Blake and Murphy, that’s when i was able to really hone in my character as to who Alexa Bliss is because I didn’t have to be in the ring and try to portray a character at the same time and worry about a match and this that and the other. But the fact that I was able to be a valet and to establish a character, work on characters, work on promos, and it helped so much, especially since we were all three really close-me, Blake, and Murphy. I was dating Murphy at the time and it was just like hanging out with friends and being able to do promos and work with people who are just your friends makes it so much easier and I think that’s kind of evolved into what I think about now in promos is like what we said, ‘You don’t just say things, you feel them.’ I’m that psycho person backstage, every promo I still have, even if it’s just two sentences or three pages, I’m backstage, I’m talking to myself, I’m pacing and just saying each thing, dissecting it, being like, ‘Okay now how would I really feel if I just said that?’ And then I say it to myself a couple of times, ‘No that doesn’t sound right.’ And I say it and I’m like, ‘Okay, that’s what clicks. Thats what how I feel.'”
Her friendship with Nia Jax:
“She’s very loud, I’m very quiet. We balance each other out like crazy. We’ll call each other out on crap all the time, we’ll joke around nonstop. I’ve always been friends with people like Nia, I’ve always been. I love Nia, she is amazing. She’s outgoing, she’s funny, we joke around all the time, we quote Bridesmaids like its going out of style, it’s the best! We’re always making each other laugh. Like when one of us is stressed, we always try to bring the other one up, you know? We sing songs on the top of our lungs on car rides. I’m pretty sure we’re the first like real best friends that have ever been on it (Total Divas) so I think that will be very interesting.
“When NXT has tryouts, they have some of the talent to come and help and like work the tryout, tell people where to roll, where to do this, basically boss everyone around. I worked Nia’s tryout and so I remember I was doing cardio while they were having a lunch break and she comes up and she starts talking to me like she knew me forever, like she’s never met a stranger in her life! And I was like, ‘Oh, hello!’ And then we’ve just become really close after that and became best friends shortly after.”

It was announced on RAW that Sasha Banks will get her rematch for the RAW Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss at WWE No Mercy.
Nia Jax confronted RAW GM Kurt Angle backstage. Nia was pissed off about Sasha Banks getting another shot at the RAW Women’s Championship at WWE No Mercy. Angle informed Nia that Sasha was entitled to a rematch for her title. Emma interrupted and said that she was going to start a new hashtag “give Emma chance at the women’s title”. Nia Jax got pissed off and Kurt Angle stepped in between them.
Angle then announced a tag team match for later tonight. It will be Nia Jax & Emma versus Sasha Banks & Alexa Bliss. If Nia Jax and Emma are victorious, they will be added to the RAW Women’s Championship match at No Mercy and it will become a Fatal 4-Way.
Nia Jax and Sasha Banks started off the match. Nia slammed Sasha to the canvas and Emma tagged herself in. Emma beatdown Banks in the corner and then went for the cover but Sasha kicked out at one. Emma connected with a Dropkick for a two count.
Emma leveled Banks with a Clothesline for a two count. Alexa looked pissed off on the ring apron as Emma continued to beat the hell out of Sasha. Banks finally was able to get in some offense and made her way to the corner to tag in the RAW Women’s Champion.
Emma booted Alexa in the face but Bliss responded with a flurry of punches to Emma’s face. Bliss then tagged in Sasha and she hit Double Knees for a two count. Emma desperately tried to tag in Nia but Sasha dragged her back to the corner. Alexa was then tagged in and she and Banks connected with a double Suplex on Emma for a two count.
Bliss beatdown Emma in the corner and then applied a Chin Lock. Emma broke free but Bliss grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the canvas. Alexa climbed to the top rope but Emma rolled to the opposite corner of the ring. Alexa jumped down and Emma connected with a Jawbreaker.
Nia was then tagged in and Alexa slapped her in the face. Nia then let out an angry scream and Bliss responded by screaming out of pure terror.
Nia then knocked Alexa to the mat but Bliss got back up and slapped her in the face again. Nia connected with a Samoan Drop and went for the cover but Sasha broke it up.
Nia charged at Alexa in the corner but Bliss dodged her and tagged in Sasha. Banks went for a Crossbody but Nia caught her. Sasha escaped and hit the Shining Wizard for a two count. Nia hit a shoulder tackle and then bounced off the ropes and Emma tagged herself in. Nia then hit a Leg Drop and Emma pinned Sasha Banks for the victory.
After the match, Nia Jax planted Emma with the Samoan Drop. Alexa Bliss will now defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks, Emma and Nia Jax at WWE No Mercy.
Sasha Banks defended her RAW Women’s Championship tonight on RAW against Alexa Bliss in the main-event. Banks defeated Bliss at WWE SummerSlam to become the RAW Women’s Champion.
RAW Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs Alexa Bliss
Bliss started off the match in control and rolled up Sasha for a two count. Sasha quickly went for the Bank Statement and Alexa was able to avoid it. Banks then slammed Bliss’ head into the turnbuckle and then stomped on her in the corner. Sasha locked in an Arm Bar and wrestled Alexa to the canvas.
Alexa broke the hold but Sasha slammed her face-first into the mat. Alexa rolled out of the ring to try to avoid Banks and regroup. Banks connected with a knee to the face off the ring apron as RAW went to a commercial break.
When RAW returned, Alexa Bliss was in control of the match and had Banks in Arm Bar in the middle of the ring. Sasha broke free but Alexa grabbed her hair and slammed her into her knee and Banks fell to the mat.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently made an appearance at a WWE 2K18 event earlier this week, and was interviewed by Brian Fritz of Between the Ropes. They discussed her SummerSlam match-up against Sasha Banks, why she’s happy to finally have a one-one-one match on a major pay-per-view (PPV), her thoughts on Talking Smack getting cancelled. Here’s what she had to say:
Getting a one-on-one match at a major PPV such as SummerSlam:
“My first SummerSlam match was last year, it was a six-women tag match – Nikki Bella’s return, which was awesome – but I’m really excited because it’s my first big singles match against only one other person, like all of the other- like WrestleMania was a multi-women match,” Bliss said. “So, to be able to have a match, one-on-one, at the Barclays Center, I’m super excited, nervous, but excited.”
Talking Smack getting cancelled and how the show helped develop her character:
“Talking Smack was amazing,” Bliss responded. “It allowed me to develop my character, in ways that if not given the opportunity on TV, sometimes you’re not scheduled to talk on TV, you’re not scheduled for a match, but with Talking Smack you got that platform to really voice your opinion, to really voice why you do the things you do in your matches and really develop and hone in on your character. It was awesome, I loved it. I definitely benefited a lot from Talking Smack. I think my character probably wouldn’t be in the position it is in without Talking Smack, because I was on it so much and I made the joke, it should be called Talking Bliss.”
Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with ESPN to promote her title defense against Sasha Banks at this weekend’s (Sun. August 20, 2017) SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) event from Brooklyn, New York. Bliss talked on a variety of topics including how long she plans to wrestle, getting called up to the main roster, and being on Total Divas. The highlights can be found below:
Her call-up to the main roster from NXT:
“I didn’t feel that I was ready to leave NXT. When I was called up to SmackDown I was very nervous. I hadn’t done many of the things at NXT that I thought I was supposed to. I didn’t have a TakeOver match. I never held the title. I only had a few matches on NXT TV and to be called up and told, ‘Well, here you go!’”
How long she wants to wrestle:
“I’d like to wrestle for as long as I can. I’ve always liked watching wrestling, but once you are on the other end of it, you develop a certain passion for it and respect for it and I would like to accomplish everything I want to before calling it quits.”
Being on Total Divas:
“I’ve been kind of the peacekeeper between people. If people get into an argument, I tell them, ‘I’m the youngest one here why am I the most mature, why is that?’ I try to mend everything. I don’t do drama. I don’t like drama. I just watch it happen, but I don’t want to be in it.”

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss was the latest on ESPN’s Cheap Heat Podcast and spoke to hosts Peter Rosenberg and Stat Guy Greg about Sunday’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view.
Tonight on RAW, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax will square off to determine who will challenge for the gold this Sunday. During her conversation on Cheap Heat, Alexa revealed that she and Sasha Banks do not have the best relationship when the WWE cameras stop rolling, but she’s a professional and does not let that affect their work in the ring.
“I’ve always been the person to say ‘business is business, personal is personal.’ I will never let my personal feelings about somebody get in the way of business”, she said.”
“I want to have a productive match, I want to have a safe match, I want to have a great match; I want to take this company to the next level with our women with this WWE women’s revolution. I’ve seen the things she said about me. If that’s how she feels, that’s fine. But we know that we put it to the side and have a productive, professional match because that’s what it’s all about.”

WWE Superstar Nia Jax recently did an interview with Metro to talk about a variety of topics including what it’s like to be backstage with WWE, being on the main roster alongside her friend and Monday Night RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, and Game Of Thrones character “The Mountain” visiting the WWE Performance Center and making Braun Strowman look small. You can check out the highlights here below:
What it’s like being backstage in WWE:
“When it comes to match time everyone settles down and gets into game mode, but a little bit before then there’s nothing wrong with a little fun and play. Our schedule is not easy, I don’t think any other sports team or company does what we do, we’re 24/7 and always on the road, no matter what. Every now and then it’s good to have a nerf ball fight or whatever to get rid of some of the stress we have.”
Being on the main roster with Alexa Bliss:
“Right now I’m honored to be where I am so short into my WWE career. I know that being so different does award me some things that I’m getting, but I’m grateful. Alexa and I have been best friends since I tried out in NXT, she was one of the first people to help me and ever since we’ve been close. We call ourselves ‘Team Rude’ because we’re super goofy, and that’s literally one of the words that you’ll hear out of our mouths when we’re talking. Hopefully I can continue bringing new things to the table and staying on top.”
Game Of Thrones character “The Mountain” visiting the WWE Performance Center and making Braun Strowman look small:
“Obviously The Mountain! He came over to the Performance Center when I was there, and he was sitting next to Braun Strowman and made him look little. I would love for that to come to life in WWE, that would be cool to see Braun vs The Mountain! I know this is bad and not popular, but I’m a big fan of Cersei.
“In my gear I’ve mirrored her recent outfits, she wears a black robe that comes up high on her neck with the shoulder pads, so I’ve tried to incorporate that look. I’ll literally send in pictures of Cersei to my gear lady and ask her to make things that look like her outfits. That’s why I’m in full body black, I love Cersei, her dynamic and how far she’s come.”
