Alexa Bliss Opens Up About Concussions Almost Ending Her In-Ring Career

Alexa Bliss recently suffered a number of concerning concussions. These would force her out of active competition until WWE medically cleared her return.

In an interview with NYPost.com, Bliss opened up over her concern that her wrestling career may have been over after suffering a second concussion.

“I think after the second concussion I was very worried about not being able to get back in the ring, especially because I didn’t know what was going on with my brain,” Bliss said. “There’s so many different types of concussions and I didn’t know that at the time. Each one had to be treated differently and the fact that I didn’t know what was going on with my brain and didn’t know until I saw the concussion specialist, it made me very scared.”

She explained that, “The stuff that he [Dr. Collins] taught me about concussions and injury has been so mind opening and mind blowing, actually. It made me feel like for the first time that I actually was in control of my own injury and actually well aware of what was going on in my brain and it made me feel so much better about returning to the ring because concussions are a scary thing.”

Thankfully, Bliss has since made her in-ring return. She is scheduled to compete this Sunday at WWE’s Stomping Grounds PPV. She will face Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Alexa Bliss Describes Her Experience In Saudi Arabia

Alexa Bliss has been drinking a lot of coffee on WWE programming these days. The 27-year-old had been rumored to wrestle Natalya on the recent Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia, though the match was ultimately not given approval. Bliss spoke to TV Insider recently about the experience.

“I didn’t really know what to expect in Saudi Arabia,” Bliss said. “I knew it wasn’t going to be like Abu Dhabi. It’s very interesting to see how everything is over there. We had fun.”

Alexa Bliss on Experience In Saudi Arabia

Bliss also spoke about her experiences with Natalya visiting a children’s hospital in the country.

“When Nattie and I got to interact with kids in the hospital, they knew who we were. They know the product. The show itself was awesome. It was actually a really good experience,” Bliss continued.

Bliss continued to talk about her experiences hosting “A Moment of Bliss.” She said that the gimmick of her drinking coffee was not planned.

“I knew I was going to be ringside for a particular match and look disinterested, so I just brought my coffee with me. It became a thing after that because I just stood ringside drinking my coffee. Nobody really has stood ringside drinking coffee, so I thought when I go backstage Vince [McMahon] would either like it or fire me. They ended up liking it.”

Segments Announced For Smackdown

Smackdown this week will emanate from the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, TX. 3 segments have been confirmed for the show thus far.

WWE has scheduled a “Moment of Bliss” segment for Tuesday. Alexa Bliss will interview Smackdown Women’s Champion, Bayley.

“One week after Bayley’s hard-fought victory over Lacey Evans led to post-match chaos between The Lady and an interfering Charlotte Flair, the SmackDown Women’s Champion is scheduled to be Alexa Bliss’ special guest on ‘A Moment of Bliss,'” a WWE press release reads.

Another announced segment for Tuesday will be an interview segment with Lars Sullivan. The Lucha House Party will face Lars in a 3-on-1 handicap match at Super ShowDown at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Goldberg To Appear On Smackdown

As previously reported, Goldberg is also being advertised for Tuesday night’s show. The former Universal Champion will face the Undertaker (also advertised for Smackdown) at Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“The former Universal Champion hasn’t set foot in a WWE ring since the night after he battled Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33,” a WWE press release reads. “It does not go unnoticed that Goldberg is choosing to appear on SmackDown, the brand with which The Phenom has long been associated. What are Goldberg’s intentions and what will his rare appearance mean for his once-in-a-lifetime clash with The Deadman next Friday?”

Alexa Bliss On Possibly Wrestling In Saudi Arabia

Alexa Bliss made history when she competed against Sasha Banks in the first ever Women’s Match in Abu Dhabi in 2017 and now she wants to wrestle in Saudi Arabia.

Bliss recently had an interview with Sky Sports where she talked about a number of different things including the upcoming WWE Super Showdown in Saudi Arabia.

Answering a question about competing in the country, the former Women’s Champion said that she had a great time in Abu Dhabi and she would love to be able to have a match in Saudi Arabia:

“I had an amazing time (in Abu Dhabi) and I would love to be able to be have a match in Saudi Arabia if given the opportunity. Because women have never competed there in any aspect there so it would be awesome to entertain there and break down barriers and it shows that our women’s evolution is global.”

It’s worth mentioning here that Alexa Bliss is not the only star who has talked about wrestling in the Middle Eastern country and just recently Natalya had expressed the desire to become the first women to compete there.

However, even though Triple H has talked about having Women’s matches in the country eventually, the upcoming Super Showdown event is not expected to feature any female competitors. Overall there appears to be a long road ahead before female stars are allowed to compete at the shows there.

Alexa Bliss Update: Concussion Issues Considered “Worrisome”

As noted, WWE has announced Nikki Cross as the replacement for Alexa Bliss in the Women’s Ladder Match at tonight’s WWE Money In The Bank 2019 pay-per-view.

Apparently Cross had been on standby per orders of WWE specifically in case something like this happened.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter gave the latest update on Bliss’ status on Sunday morning’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

According to Meltzer, this is already at least the second time this year that Bliss has been on the sidelines with what is being described as “worrisome” concussion-related issues.

“Alexa Bliss from what I understand, the actual medical condition that WWE has released internally is ‘undisclosed’ … and ‘undisclosed’ has become a euphemism for concussion,” Meltzer said on Sunday’s episode at F4WOnline.com. “That doesn’t mean for sure that it’s a concussion, although it’s been reported by several people that it’s a concussion and certainly that would be the one you’d expect. And she did throw up after taking a bad bump, and that often also means concussion.”

On Saturday, Alexa Bliss took to social media to address the concussion rumors and how her career could be in jeopardy as a result.

“My career is just fine,” wrote Bliss via her official Twitter page (@AlexaBliss_WWE). “Thank you for the concern though.”

WWE Money In The Bank 2019 goes down from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut tonight. The show will air live on pay-per-view, and will also stream live via the WWE Network. Join us here at SEScoops.com this evening for live play-by-play results coverage of the event.

Conflicting Reports Regarding Alexa Bliss Being Removed From WWE MITB

It was recently announced that Alexa Bliss has been replaced by Nikki Cross for this weekend’s (Sun. May 19, 2019) Money In The Bank (MITB) Ladder match. The announcement revealed Bliss wasn’t medically cleared to compete, and had been pulled from the contest. However, the announcement did not specify what exactly was wrong with the former RAW Women’s Champion.

F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer subsequently reported that Bliss was removed from the match for injury reasons. While Meltzer was unable to report the exact nature of the injury, he did note he was told it was not serious and Bliss being pulled was a precautionary measure since it was a Ladder match.

But according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Bliss was pulled after suffering another concussion. This is concerning due to Bliss having suffered several concussions over the course of her run with WWE. She hasn’t competed in the ring since losing to Naomi on the April 29 episode of Monday Night RAW.

Alexa Bliss Removed from Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Former WWE women’s champion Alexa Bliss will no longer compete at this weekend’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view with a replacement to be named ahead of the event.

WWE officials announced the news on Thursday.

“Alexa Bliss is not medically cleared to compete at WWE Money in the Bank this Sunday, and has been removed from the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match,” WWE officials said in a statement. “A suitable replacement for Alexa will be announced.”

Bliss has largely been out of action outside of a few matches since this past October due to concussion protocol at WWE.

With her in-ring career delayed, Bliss began appearing on television in a segment called ‘A Moment of Bliss’ on Monday Night Raw while waiting to get cleared to return to action.,

She participated in the Royal Rumble back in January and then made a couple of appearances in matches on television more recently but her schedule has been drastically reduced.

Now it appears Bliss is back on the sidelines, although the statement from WWE doesn’t clarify if this is once again due to the concussion issue she was facing previously.

The Money in the Bank Ladder match this weekend will see four women’s stars from RAW and four women’s stars from Smackdown Live compete for the contract for a title match at any time in the future.

Bliss is a past winner of the Money in the Bank ladder match and she went onto capture the title previously. Unfortunately it appears Bliss will have to wait for her chance to return to action now that she has been deemed medically unfit to compete.

Stay tuned on information regarding her replacement in the Money in the Bank ladder match as soon as the news becomes available.

Nikki Cross Talks About Her New Friend, Alexa Bliss

It seems Nikki Cross is still getting used to having a friend in WWE.

Cross replaced her new friend, Alex Bliss, in a Fatal 4 Way match. She would emerge victorious this past Monday on RAW, defeating Naomi, Natalya, and Dana Brooke in the process.

After the match, WWE caught up with her to gauge her feelings. She was aksed not only about the match, but also about her newfound friendship with Alexa Bliss.

“I got here a few months ago, and Alexa’s really been the first person to welcome me to Monday Night RAW. Being here at Monday Night RAW in London…I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland, and I spent years and years performing in front of the crowds in the United Kingdom before coming to WWE, and it just feels amazing to come here, not only getting to perform but get to win my match. My first huge victory on Monday Night RAW and I get to win that for me, I get to win that for Alexa. We got the win together, and I just couldn’t be more happy, I couldn’t be more excited.”

“That’s What Friends Do”

When asked how Alexa reacted to her victory, Cross shared that she received a huge hug before commenting that Bliss has been going through a “hard time” recently.

“I was glad I could help. She just gave me a big hug, and she just said ‘thank you for your help,’ and it made me feel good. I just hope that one day she would do that for me and she would return the favor, because that’s what friends do. It’s so weird, I’m just getting used to, like, having a friend. It’s just hard to get used to.”

Nikki Cross recently revealed she could finally call RAW her home after languishing on the main roster without a brand association.

During that reveal, she teased that things may change for her going forward. Her new attitude change on RAW has at least landed her a friend in Alexa. For now.

Alexa Bliss And Buddy Murphy No Longer Together

WWE Superstars Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy have reportedly broken off their engagement, according to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Tweeting out the news, Satin divulged that Bliss and Murphy haven’t been an item since at least the fall of 2018.

“In regards to rumors of Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy calling off their engagement — a source close to Bliss confirms she & Murphy ended their relationship & have been living apart since Sept. ’18. FWIW, I’m told Bliss is still a huge fan of Murphy as both a wrestler and person.”

The WWE Superstars became engaged in December 2015. With many Superstar couples managing to end up on the same brands with the promotions recent Superstar Shake-Up, questions began to circulate when Bliss and Murphy didn’t ultimately end up on the same brand.

Alexa would stay on Monday Night RAW whilst Buddy would leave the purple brand, 205 Live, with his call-up to SmackDown Live.

Despite this turn of events, Alexa Bliss still congratulated Buddy Murphy on his new opportunity on the blue brand every Tuesday night.

Murphy, appearing on Lilian Garcia’s podcast, Chasing Glory, earlier in the year had high praise for Bliss. He addressed having a long distance relationship and how they maintain that before stating that “I support her 110%, I watch her stuff. I send her my promos. She’s the one that helped me how to speak, she’s taught me heaps.”

Alexa Bliss Deletes Tweet After Fans Suggest She Attend AEW Double Or Nothing

Former WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss got fans talking over a post that she shared on her official Twitter account.

It all started when the Monday Night RAW star when she asked fans for suggestions for a show that she could watch in Las Vegas when she travels to the city in a few weeks.

This led to several fans bringing up AEW (All Elite Wrestling) holding their first show in the city soon. Double or Nothing, which is the inaugural show promoted by AEW, will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25, 2019.

This led to Bliss deleting the post but not before fans were able to take a screenshot of it, which you can see here:

Despite deleting it, that didn’t stop Bliss from replying to one of the suggestions and making it clear that she was just trying to find a good show to watch with a friend.

Obviously, Alexa Bliss is not attending AEW: Double or Nothing. However, the fact that her tweet was deleted is interesting.

Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho in a rematch from their contest at Wrestle Kingdom in 2018 and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fénix) are being billed as the top two matches.

Alexa Bliss Wants WM35 Main Event Winner

Alexa Bliss will host WrestleMania 35 tomorrow night but don’t count the former 5x women’s champion (3x RAW, 2x Smackdown) out of the title picture just yet. She spoke to TMZ Sports recently and said she wants the winner of Sunday’s main event.

Bliss said during the interview that she plans on getting back in the ring after WrestleMania, and has her eyes on the winner of the WM35 main event.

“My plan is whoever wins that WrestleMania main event, that’s who I’ve got my eyes on,” Bliss said.

Bliss predicted Charlotte Flair will be the one to come away with both belts tomorrow night.

Alexa Bliss – Cleared To Perform

Bliss wants fans to know she is not injured but rather has been focussing on her “Moment of Bliss” segment. She has been performing on WWE live events just not on television.

“It’s not that I’m injured or that I’m out of the ring,” Bliss said regarding being medically cleared to perform. “I feel great, I’ve been doing live events, just right now I’m really focussed on hosting because I don’t want to go out there and make a fool of myself.”

You can view the full interview in the player below:

Alexa Bliss Shows Off Dramatic New Look (Update: False Alarm)

Alexa Bliss posted a photo on Twitter on Wednesday showing off a dramatically different look. The former Raw Women’s Champion is set to host WrestleMania 35 next weekend.

With just over a week until the event, Bliss decided to change her signature blonde hair – or did she? Earlier in the day, she posted a video on Twitter asking followers if she should change her look, or keep it the same.

As seen below, Bliss was sporting dark brown hair with auburn and blonde highlights. It’s a radical departure from what we’ve seen from her.

Update: It turns out Alexa Bliss was just messing around about no longer having blonde hair.

She posted a few photos of the “finished product,” which you can see below. Knowing she fooled fans and several wrestling news sites that jumped on the earth-shattering development, she tagged the photos with #GotYa.

Alexa Bliss Talks Her In-Ring Future

Alexa Bliss recently did an interview with Asbury Park Press where she spoke about a wide range of pro wrestling related topics including her WWE career, “A Moment of Bliss” segments, and more.

One topic that was brought up was about her status as an in-ring competitor.

“I’ve been doing live events,” she said. “It just depends on how I’m being used on ‘Raw’ that day. One day I’ll have a match and one day I’ll have a ‘Moment of Bliss,’ it just depends on what helps what story get across.”

She has only worked a select few matches since making her return to in-ring action in January. During this time, she has been used as a host of her talk show or in charge of the women’s division.

She had been reportedly out of action with multiple concussions in late 2018. Bliss was originally scheduled to face Trish Stratus and Lita in a tag match at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event in October but was pulled after suffering a concussion just days before the show.

WWE has already confirmed that she’ll be one of the hosts of WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network.

Alexa Bliss Denies She Is Injured Again

Alexa Bliss is denying a rumor that she is once again out of action due to injury.

The former Raw Women’s Champion missed several months of action after suffering a concussion last October. Bliss returned to action at the Royal Rumble, but has not been wrestling much since then. She has primarily been hosting the Moment of Bliss talk show segment.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bliss has been on the sidelines again due to an unspecified injury. However, she is denying that report.

Last week, a fan on Twitter questioned when Alexa Bliss will be wrestling again. She responded with a shrug emoji.

On Tuesday, a fan on Twitter tagged Bliss in a message referencing the Observer report about her being injured again. Alexa Bliss directly denied the rumor.

Alexa Bliss Announces In-Ring Return At The Royal Rumble (Video)

Alexa Bliss suffered an unfortunate injury that resulted in a concussion late last year. Ever since then, there has been speculation and rumor surrounding Alexa Bliss’ overall health and when she may return to in-ring action.

Last night during her talk show segment, ‘Moment Of Bliss’, Alexa cleared up all worry and confusion. She’s coming back, and will officially return at this Sunday’s Women’s Royal Rumble event.

Alexa has not competed in-ring since a WWE Live Event back on October 20th 2018. In that time, she has gone through rigorous testing in order to ensure she is healthy and capable of returning to competition.

Thankfully, it appears that all the hard work, rehabbing, and tests have paid off as Lil’ Miss Bliss now aims to walk away with that lucrative number one contender opportunity.

Reason Behind Alexa Bliss Segment From This Week’s Raw

This week on Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe witnessed a backstage segment featuring Alexa Bliss that may have taken a few fans by surprise.

In an attempt to try and push the envelope of their shows given rating, WWE produced a brief interaction backstage featuring a supposedly topless Alexa Bliss. This was their attempt to generate some buzz whilst teasing a return to the edgy nature of their older shows and previous eras, such as the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the supposed logic behind the segment is that “they want to bring back this idea of God only knows what. It’s like old time, old time stuff,” he explained.

“It’s like whatever, that stuff’s on regular TV shows all the time, too. It was an attempt to do something that was very awkward in execution, but it was an attempt to make things sexy. That’s all that was.”

The YouTube video accrued more than 1.5 million views in less than 24 hours and, at the time of writing, is the 2nd most watched clip from this week’s episode of Raw with 2.8 million views. Braun Strowman flipping over Vince McMahon’s limousine is the current most watched from this week’s episode with 2.9 million views.

What did you think of the segment? Is this the start of a newer, edgier WWE, or a tone-deaf attempt?

Alexa Bliss Provides Update On WWE In-Ring Return

Its been quite some time since former RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss has competed inside the ring. Bliss was forced to miss October’s first-ever all-female WWE pay-per-view (PPV), Evolution. She was expected to face Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus in a singles bout. Instead, Bliss was ringside for a tag team contest between Alicia Fox and Mickie James against Stratus and Lita.

There have been several reports over the past few months in regards to Bliss’ in-ring return. The latest indicating she was taking bumps on crash pads to make sure she could bump without getting vertigo. It was also mentioned that Bliss might not be back until the Royal Rumble, which is two weeks away.

Recently, “Little Miss Bliss” took part in a Q&A  at the ACE Comic Con in Phoenix, Arizona. The Q&A included former WWE ring announcer Lilian Garcia. Bliss confirmed she suffered a concussion a few months back. She got back into the ring too soon and aggravated it, thus resulting in her long hiatus:

“It was one that happened, and then I went back too soon and aggravated it,” Bliss said.

Return Timeframe

Bliss revealed that she will be returning to the ring “soon” and noted WWE is very careful when it comes to concussions and injuries:

“Well, I plan on coming back pretty soon,” Bliss said. “WWE is very careful with us when it comes to concussions and any injury. We have the best taking care of us and you have to go through concussion protocol. Everybody is being cautious, it’s the brain, you only get one, can’t trade it out for another.

“So, I’ve been doing well, training at the [WWE] Performance Center. I’ve been training in the ring there. There’s hope for me getting back in the ring relatively soon. It just depends on—it’s a brain, you can’t really tell it to heal, my MRIs and everything look good.

“Neurologists say I look good and as long as I don’t have symptoms—that’s the thing, if you feel good, know you’re good, and go in the ring, but feel a symptom (headache or memory loss), you have to start all the way from square one.”

Do you think Bliss will be back in time for the Women’s Royal Rumble match?

The Reason Alexa Bliss Didn’t Speak On RAW

On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Alexa Bliss did not speak during her “press conference” segment between Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. The segment was to hype this weekend’s RAW Women’s Title bout between Rousey and Jax at the Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV). Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bliss is dealing with an illness, which is the reason she didn’t speak Monday.

The original plan was for Bliss to cut a lengthy promo, however, the decision was made for her not to speak. Instead, Nia Jax carried the segment until Rousey came to the ring. Bliss then left the ring as soon as Rousey entered.

The report noted that several WWE stars have been dealing with illnesses, so something seems to be spreading throughout the locker room. Mandy Rose also noted on social media that she has been dealing with an illness. This would explain why her match with Naomi didn’t go down on SmackDown Live on Tuesday. Also, earlier this week a report emerged revealing Finn Balor had been sent home from WWE’s Latin American tour.

Initial speculation suggested Balor was dealing with an injury, but it turns out Balor was also dealing with an illness.

Further Details On Alexa Bliss’ In-Ring Return

We recently provided an update on Alexa Bliss’ medical condition, highlighting contradicting reports that denied her being medically cleared.

Further details have since emerged regarding Bliss’ journey back to the ring. Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com speculated on a projected timeframe and what her training regime currently looks like.

“What I heard about Alexa Bliss is she will probably remain out until Royal Rumble. Watch her wrestle next week on RAW,” he added, sarcastically, “[…] anyway, that’s what I was told.”

Regarding the actual physicality of her training, Alvarez commented on the set up at the WWE Performance Center. He stressed that the facility has a number of rings, including one that is, essentially, a giant crash pad.

“So when you hear that Alexa Bliss is taking light bumps and that sort of thing, she’s not even bumping in a real ring right now.”

“[…] as of last week,” he continued, “she was taking bumps on the crash pad and they were making sure she could bump on a crash pad without I guess ending up with vertigo.”

The WWE has taken giant strides over the years in how they analyse and monitor injuries and concussions. It’s reassuring to know that Bliss won’t be back before she’s 100% ready.

Alexa Bliss Not Cleared For Return? Next Challenger For Cruiserweight Title Revealed

Alexa Bliss Not Cleared For Return?

We noted before how Mark Henry while appearing on Busted Open Radio had said that the former Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss has been cleared for an in-ring return.

However, Dave Meltzer opposed these comments on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and claimed that Bliss has only been approved for light activity under medical supervision.

WWE has been trying to keep Bliss on TV without taking any bumps in recent weeks, by making her the in charge of the Women’s Division. So it makes more sense if Alexa has not been cleared. We’ll keep you posted on her status.

Next Challenger For Cruiserweight Title

205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick announced via the following video that Cedric Alexander is the new #1 contender and the next challenger for Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy:

https://twitter.com/WWEMaverick/status/1070443724830846976?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

Cedric has been rewarded this title shot after he defeated the previously-undefeated Lio Rush in a recent bout and also pinned Murphy in a tag match.

No word yet on when Alexander will be getting his title match against the Cruiserweight Champion. Though the most likely destination for it is the upcoming TLC PPV. You can check out an updated match card for the event here.

Alexa Bliss Cleared to Return To WWE

It appears that former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss has been cleared to return to in-ring action.

We noted earlier on the site that Bliss has been attempting to get medically cleared to compete by getting back in the ring at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida last week. She had been reportedly out of action with multiple concussions as of late. There’s still no word yet on when he’ll make her return but WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry shared an update on her status during Tuesday’s episode of Busted Open Radio on Sirius XM.

According to Henry, “She came back too soon and was in a bad place, but she’s fine and has been cleared.”

As a result of Bliss not being allowed to wrestle, WWE officials decided to give her a new role on television. General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin put Bliss in charge of the red brand women’s division. Bliss was originally scheduled to face Trish Stratus and Lita in a tag match at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event in October but was pulled after suffering a concussion just days before the show.

With the card appearing to be finalized for WWE’s next pay-per-view event, it’s likely that Bliss won’t wrestle at the TLC pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center.

Alexa Bliss Begins Training For In-Ring Return

Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss mentioned in a recent Twitter post on her official account that she was back in the ring at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday to continue to work towards returning to in-ring action.

She has been reportedly out of action with multiple concussions as of late. There’s still no word yet on when he’ll make her return or if she has been cleared by WWE doctors. She wrote, “Day 1 #WWEPerformanceCenter.”

Bliss was originally scheduled to face Trish Stratus and Lita in a tag match at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event in October but was pulled after suffering a concussion just days before the show. Then, Bliss was revealed as the captain for Team RAW at Survivor Series in a non-wrestling capacity last week. Bliss hasn’t competed in a WWE ring for the past few weeks due to a concussion.

Despite Bliss not being allowed to wrestle, WWE officials have given her a new role on television. General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin put Bliss in charge of the red brand women’s division on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Milwaukee, WI at the Fiserv Forum on the USA Network.

Alexa Bliss Denies Retirement Rumors

The retirement rumors regarding Alexa Bliss don’t seem to be going anywhere. After dealing with too many concussions, Bliss has been sidelined from WWE competition in recent weeks. As a result, “Little Miss Bliss” has been forced to miss events like Evolution and Survivor Series. It remains unclear when Bliss could make her return to in-ring action.

PWInsider has reported that there is some concern regarding her status as an in-ring talent. It was also reported that Bliss could serve as the replacement for Baron Corbin for the RAW General Manager role. Corbin’s stint might be coming to an end, as his GM role will be on the line against Braun Strowman at the Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) pay-per-view (PPV).

In the wake of Bliss’ injury woes, that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about her future. There have been plenty of rumors going around indicating that Bliss will be retiring from in-ring competition. Of course, it’s way too soon to make such a determination. Bliss recently reacted to these rumors on Instagram.

Bliss denied the rumors, and even promised to return to the ring soon, saying “sure sure… I’ll be back in the ring soon. Thank you tho.”

The stipulation for their confrontation is simple: if Strowman wins, he receives a Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar. If Corbin wins, his position as Raw General Manager becomes permanent.

It’s predicated that Strowman will be getting his hand raised in order to feud with Lesnar into WrestleMania. If that’s the case, the immediate question becomes: who will replace Corbin as Raw GM?

Lil’ Miss.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsiderElite, it could be none other than Lil’ Miss Bliss, Alexa Bliss.

Johnson states that Bliss went through medical testing whilst out in Los Angeles, highlighting there was “no clearcut indication that she was returning to the ring anytime soon.”

He clarified his statement, adding, “it doesn’t mean that it’s not going to happen. […] to the best of my knowledge, it’s not a Paige situation where she’s been permanently sat out, but it did seem like, ‘Ok in two weeks you’re going to be good to go, or in three weeks you’re going to be good to go.”

“[…] They’ll probably still keep testing her,” he said. “There was some expectation backstage at Raw that, when they come out of TLC, Alexa Bliss will probably end up the General Manager of Raw, which makes sense when you think about it. But given how they change ideas so quickly I don’t know that’s definitely 100% the plan.”
