CJ Perry Teases Miro Vs. WWE’s Andrade After Ex’s AEW Release

Could CJ Perry and Miro reunite, potentially in WWE? The Ravishing Russian has teased that fans shouldn’t count the idea out just yet. On X, Perry suggested that Miro could rekindle his feud with WWE’s Andrade and that the Bulgarian would need her help to win.

Perry’s post comes after Miro was released from AEW, an exit he reportedly requested in 2024 but was denied at the time. Andrade parted ways with AEW in early 2024 and would waste no time in returning to WWE as part of that year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match. Perry confirmed her exit from AEW in July 2024 though has yet to appear for another promotion.

In March 2024, it was revealed that Perry and Miro had separated, ending their marriage that had began in 2016. Her comments this week are not the first time she has teased reuniting with Miro on-screen, leaving fans wondering if the pair could soon be back together as a couple. In the comments, one fan questioned if the couple are “trying to repair things” while another asked Perry “Girl are you back together?”

With Miro only recently leaving AEW, its too early to say what’s next for the Bulgarian, who wrestled just seven times in his final two years under Tony Khan. Whatever comes, fans can expect Perry to take an interest in the actions of Miro and Andrade, leaving fans curious to see what’s to come.

Many former AEW names have gone on to hold championships in WWE while some are awaiting their big break. It remains to be seen what direction Starks’ future takes in the company but his arrival has left fans excited to see what’s to come.

WWE’s Charlotte Flair Ends Marriage to Andrade

Charlotte Flair and Andrade have officially parted ways. Court records obtained by TMZ Sports reveal that the WWE superstar, whose real name is Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr, filed for divorce from Andrade (Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza) in Florida back in June 2024. A judge finalized the split in October.

A High-Profile Wrestling Romance Comes to an End

Flair and Andrade began dating in 2019, got engaged in 2020, and tied the knot in 2022 in a lavish wedding ceremony in Mexico. Despite their seemingly strong bond—evidenced by social media posts and public appearances together—the couple has now gone their separate ways.

There were no obvious signs of trouble leading up to the divorce, as Charlotte had recently credited Andrade for supporting her through her knee injury recovery. Additionally, Ric Flair, Charlotte’s legendary father, teamed up with Andrade for his “Last Match,” further suggesting a close relationship within the family.

What’s Next for Charlotte Flair and Andrade?

Charlotte Flair remains focused on her wrestling career, having just won the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble in Indianapolis. The victory secures her a marquee spot at WrestleMania 41. Meanwhile, Andrade, competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble but was eliminated and will have to find another way to make it onto the card in Las Vegas.

While neither Flair nor Andrade has publicly addressed the split, both are expected to remain key figures in WWE moving forward. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest.

Spoiler: Andrade Loses WWE Speed Championship Before SmackDown

A new WWE Speed Champion has been crowned at Friday’s WWE taping from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ending the reign of Andrade.

WWE taped the latest episode of WWE Speed before Friday’s SmackDown. It saw the current champion defending his title against Dragon Lee.

The LWO member would end up winning the bout, ending Andrade’s Championship reign at 152 days and earning his second singles title in WWE:

Andrade had defeated the inaugural WWE Speed Champion Ricochet to win the title back in June. The One and Only held the belt for 42 days before dropping it to the Mexican star and exiting the company.

WWE Speed Title matches generally air on Fridays before PPVs so it’s likely that we will see this title change ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames event on November 30.

This wasn’t the only notable moment of the night. The SmackDown broadcast also saw the return of Shinsuke Nakamura who had been absent from WWE programming since April.

Nakamura attacked US Champion LA Knight after his successful title defense against Humberto. This suggests that Shinsuke will be going after the title in the coming times.

WWE also revealed the brackets for the announced tournament to crown the new Women’s US Champion on the show. You can check it out here.

LA Knight Retains U.S. Championship At WWE Crown Jewel 2024

LA Knight was able to defy the odds to retain his WWE United States Championship at WWE Crown Jewel 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Knight was forced to defend the title against both Andrade and Carmelo Hayes after attacking both men during a recent edition of SmackDown. With the triple-threat stipulation meaning Knight didn’t have to be involved in the decision to lose the title, the Megastar tried to remain involved as much as possible. The finish of the match saw Hayes hit his facebuster on Andrade, only to eat a BFT from Knight.

WWE Crown Jewel is taking place from the Mohammad Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The card for the show is as follows:

  • Cody Rhodes Vs. GUNTHER (WWE Crown Jewel Championship)
  • Nia Jax Vs. Liv Morgan (WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship)
  • Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Bronson Reed
  • Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
  • LA Knight (c) vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes (WWE U.S. Championship)
  • Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky) vs. Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) vs. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship)
  • Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga) (with Tonga Loa)

Jason Kelce & Lane Johnson Assist Rey Mysterio & Andrade In Getting The Win At WrestleMania 40

WWE usually brings massive names in for WrestleMania events. This tradition was no different for the 40th anniversary of the showcase of the immortals.

Rey Mysterio and Andrade teamed up at WrestleMania 40 to take on Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio. In the end, two unexpected WrestleMania guests got involved.

During the tag team match, two massive luchadors showed up at ringside. They helped Mr. 6-1-9 and Andrade win the match. Then the two masked men revealed themselves to be Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson.

WrestleMania 40’s Importance For Jason Kelce

This was a big surprise for the Lincoln Financial Field crowd, as the pro football players celebrated with Rey Mysterio and Andrade. In the end, both Kelce and Johnson also tore off their shirts in the midst of the excitement.

Jason Kelce played 13 seasons in the NFL, and in every one of them, he was the starting center for the Eagles. At 36 years old, he is now retired and he had a great time at Mania.

It was previously reported that WWE had reached out to Jason Kelce about making an appearance at WrestleMania 40. Travis Kelce apparently couldn’t make it, but they were able to land the former Eagles center for the show of shows.

SEScoops will have continued coverage of WWE WrestleMania 40. Keep checking back throughout the show, and afterward for more headlines!

WWE WrestleMania Match Changed During 4/5 Go-Home SmackDown

WrestleMania kicks off tomorrow, but it’s not too late to change the show of shows. This week’s SmackDown saw a big change for the LWO’s tag team match.

Dragon Lee was supposed to team with Rey Mysterio to take on Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 40. Then, this week’s show saw Dragon Lee get taken out with a backstage attack.

Andrade, who initially appeared to align with Dominik and Santos, turned on the heels to join the babyfaces. This was a big moment as it put Zelina Vega and Andrade on the same side once again.

It was later revealed that Dragon Lee will not be able to compete at WrestleMania 40. Since Lee was not medically cleared, Andrade agreed to take his place. Carlito entered the scene after that with the news that Dragon Lee couldn’t compete, but he was already too late to get in the match. Instead, Carlito told Andrade to take out Santos Escobar at WrestleMania 50.

Now, Andrade and Rey Mysterio will take on Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio at the showcase of the immortals.

WWE Locks Down Several Names Across NXT & Main Roster

WWE has secured even more trademarks to make sure that nobody else uses their intellectual property. Those new trademarks span Superstars and on-air personalities from WWE and the NXT brand as well.

WWE filed trademark applications for several names on March 29. Now “Andrade,” “Chase U,” “Vic Joseph,” “Alicia Taylor,” “Blake Howard,” and “Erik” are one step closer to being WWE property.

WWE’s New Trademark Filings

On March 29, WWE took legal action by filing trademark applications for several names including “Andrade,” “Chase U,” “Vic Joseph,” “Alicia Taylor,” “Blake Howard,” and “Erik.”

These trademark filings cover a wide array of categories, primarily focusing on entertainment services related to wrestling exhibitions and performances by professional wrestlers. It is the usual language found in those type of trademark filings.

The trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.

WWE’s History Of Trademarking Names

WWE locking down Andrade’s name is interesting, because he used Andrade el Idolo in AEW. Now, he is back in WWE and they are locking down his name.

The company has a history of trademarking names, and that is why they have a proclivity to change someone’s real name once they enter WWE. They have also been known to alter ring names, just so they can make sure nobody has any claim to a moniker.

SEScoops will keep an eye for any updates, and check back throughout the day for more headlines!

Naomi & Andrade’s WWE Brand Assignments Revealed Following Royal Rumble Returns

WWE saw a few surprises during the 2024 Royal Rumble event. Naomi and Andrade both returned to the company, and now we have an update on what is next for them.

WWE’s Plan for Andrade

Andrade concluded his tenure with AEW at World’s End, in a loss to Miro. It was pretty clear that his return to WWE was happening. Despite expectations for an earlier debut, Andrade made his way back during the 2024 Royal Rumble event

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Andrade was scheduled for tonight’s WWE Raw. Charlotte Flair, who advocated for his return, showed support backstage at the WWE Royal Rumble, as she helped prepare him for his big moment.

Charlotte, who is on the Smackdown brand, is currently sidelined with a terrible knee injury. She may be out for about a year at this point, so the fact that they are on different brands isn’t a big deal.

Plans for Naomi in WWE

Naomi also returned during the 2024 Royal Rumble match. The Glow is anticipated to be featured on the Smackdown brand.

Having previously performed in TNA under her real name, Trinity, Naomi openly communicated her return to WWE and likely participation in the Royal Rumble. TNA sources reportedly mentioned that it became apparent by the start of the year that Naomi would be concluding her time with TNA.

WWE maintained interest in Naomi for over a year, but due to an informal hiring freeze, her return was delayed until after her TNA obligations were fulfilled. Now, she is back, and ready to battle on the blue brand, where her husband, Jimmy Uso, is still a top act as part of The Bloodline.

Andrade Makes WWE Return During 2024 Royal Rumble Match

WWE brought the Royal Rumble for fans in Tropicana Field, and the night was full of memorable moments. Triple H’s vision for WWE’s creative direction is more than evident at this point, as the Road to WrestleMania is only starting to heat up. Fans saw an exciting return early on in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

Andrade’s WWE Return

Andrade El Idolo left WWE three years ago, when the company granted his release. He had a stint in AEW, but that time is now over. The former NXT Champion is now back in WWE.

Andrade shocked fans in Tropicana Field as the #4 entry in the 2024 Royal Rumble match. He came out with a mask and a new entrance robe. He also had new music.

The former AEW star’s return brought a big pop from the Tropicana Field crowd as well. Now, he is back in WWE, and it’s anyone’s guess what he will do next.

Andrade’s AEW Departure.

Andrade, although there was a short period of time when he almost inked a new AEW deal, decided to leave Tony Khan’s company. He was quite vocal on his way out that he was wrapping up his time with AEW after losing to Miro at Worlds End.

Andrade’s return to WWE has a lot to do with Charlotte Flair. She pulled for him to come back, and WWE obviously listened. Sadly, Charlotte Flair is currently out of action with an injury. Andrade will be firmly back in WWE’s landscape by the time The Queen returns.

Keep an eye on SE Scoops for more updates, because the road to WrestleMania is just starting.

Andrade El Idolo’s Expected WWE Return Was A Interesting Process

WWE has seen several returns over the last couple of years. Triple H brought back several people that Vince McMahon either released or he let their contract expire. Now, all signs point to Andrade’s return.

Andrade’s Expected WWE Return

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Andrade el Idolo has concluded his time with All Elite Wrestling, and has reached an agreement with WWE. This was said to be a “roller coaster” situation.

Initially Andrade signed to a two-year deal with AEW, the inclusion of injury time extended his contract. So, his contract was stretched to the end of the year.

AEW talent noted Andrade’s transparency regarding his contract status, as he did not hide anything backstage. El Idolo made it clear that his deal would conclude in or by the end of 2023. Despite there was a brief time when he reportedly expressed intentions to stay with AEW and consider another contract, towards the end of his run, he informed fellow wrestlers of his decision to return to WWE.

Some within AEW even anticipated his appearance on WWE programming shortly after his departure. They were surprised that he hasn’t debuted yet. With the Royal Rumble coming up on January 27th, that could very well be a landing pad for his return as well.

Reasons Behind Andrade’s AEW Exit

Although Tony Khan left the door open for Andrade’s return publicly, individuals working closely with Andrade found the process frustrating, with him revealing days before World’s End that he was concluding his time with AEW.

Additionally, it is reported that Charlotte Flair advocated for Andrade’s return to WWE, and Andrade himself had suggested that AEW link up with Ric Flair.

WWE has not confirmed Andrade’s return to the company just yet, but the general belief is that he is coming back to television. The former NXT Champion may be back on RAW or SmackDown very soon.

Andrade El Idolo Pulls Out Of GCW No Compadre Event

Andrade El Idolo departed from AEW, and he had kind things to say about Tony Khan’s company. Now, it appears that he is on his way back to WWE, and there is more evidence to support that idea now.

Andrade El Idolo Expected Back In WWE

Having debuted for GCW at the ‘Highest In The Room 2’ event on December 9th, 2023 as he took on Joey Janela at the show. There was a plan to see Andrade’s return to GCW. However, it seems that won’t be happening now.

Game Changer Wrestling announced Andrade El Idolo’s withdrawal from the GCW No Compadre event, where he was initially set to face Jonathan Gresham on Friday, January 12th. Lio Rush will step in to replace Andrade in the matchup.

Due to circumstances out of control, ANDRADE and MAKI ITOH will be unable to compete on Friday’s event in Chicago.

The following replacements have been signed: MASHA SLAMOVICH will replace Maki Itoh LIO RUSH will replace Andrade

*Additional Matches TBA tonite and this week*

It was previously reported that Andrade was expected to be pulled from this event. Now, GCW has confirmed this cancellation. Andrade was advertised for at least one GCW event for 2024, and that is no longer the case. Of course, WWE famously prefers to keep their talent away from other promotions, with only a select few exceptions.

Andrade’s Next Moves in Pro Wrestling

Andrade El Idolo’s departure from AEW strongly indicates his intention to return to WWE. Now, pulling out of this Game Changer Wrestling event gives even more weight to the idea that he’s WWE-bound once again.

Clearing his schedule aligns with the typical transition for individuals moving from indies to WWE, considering WWE’s demanding schedule that doesn’t often allow for independent bookings. There have been times when WWE allowed incoming stars to finish up their indie dates in the past.

The specific reasons for Andrade El Idolo’s removal from the GCW event remain undisclosed, but many speculate that this is part of the process leading up to his WWE return. There’s a strong possibility that he will return to WWE, but nothing is definite until it actually happens.

Andrade El Idolo Posts Touching Goodbye Message To AEW

Andrade and Miro threw down at AEW Worlds End, and the Redeemer won that confrontation. That was also Andrade’s final match in AEW, as he put the former Rusev over on his way out. Now, Andrade has a message for those he is leaving behind in AEW.

Andrade’s Message About His AEW Exit

Andrade El Idolo has officially left AEW and made his sentiments public on X regarding his departure. He did so with a text graphic. In his statement, he relayed appreciation to the company, particularly singling out Tony Khan.

Andrade also mentioned several individuals by name, including Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Tazz, Tony Shiavone, Aubrey Edwards, Jerry Lynn, Will Hobbs, Hook, Eddie Kingston, Ricky Starks, Orange Cassidy, Thunder Rosa, Jack Perry (Jungle Boy), Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Sonjay Dutt, and many others.

Andrade also addressed sharing the ring with people like Sting, PAC, Darby Allin, Jeff Hardy, Jay Lethal, and more. He had some great experiences in AEW, but now he is going onto the next phase of his life.

“I want to thank you for this time that I belonged to the company @aew and above all to Tony khan I also want to say goodbye to all the talent, security people, cameramen, referees and everyone who works in the company for being part of my time in AEW. Kenny, young bucks, Tazz, Shiavone, Aubrey, Jerry, Hobbs, hook, Kingston, Ricky, Orange, thunder, jack Perry, Austin, Colten, Sonjay and many more that I can name, also how to forget all the Mexicans (todo el relajo) | enjoyed sharing the ring with STING, PAC, Darby, García, Jay and many more. I would have loved to face MOX, Page, Hobbs, Ricky, Dante, Cage, Dustin. Thank you AEW AND Thank you to all the fans for your support always. I wish you the best always!!!”

Andrade’s Future In Pro Wrestling After AEW Exit

Andrade El Idolo is expected to make a return to WWE at this point. His wife, Charlotte Flair, inked a new extension with the company, which is one of the biggest female contracts in pro wrestling history.

WWE did not book Andrade el Idolo to return during the January 1st Day 1 RAW. There are other possible events for him to make that big debut at, especially with Triple H calling the shots.

Thunder Rosa Has Heartfelt Message For Andrade El Idolo Upon His AEW Exit

Andrade is making headlines today, as it is reported that his AEW days are done. He could have a big surprise return to WWE coming for him, but some in AEW will miss him.

Thunder Rosa’s Message For Andrade El Idolo

Thunder Rosa hasn’t been on AEW television over the past year, as she was out of action with an injury. She was still a voice on the company’s Spanish language commentary team. After just making her return to in-ring action, Thunder Rosa is now losing someone she will truly miss in AEW.

In her caption, translated from Spanish, Thunder Rosa included a touching message for Andrade El Idolo. She will miss having him around AEW, as he is one of the most real people she’s ever met.

You are one of the most real people I have ever met. I am proud of you my friend and for always doing what is best for you. You are a role model! I hope to see you soon and much, much success buddy and I’m going to miss you

Andrade El Idolo’s AEW Exit

As we previously reported, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there’s an expectation within WWE that Andrade might make a return to the company. With a champion’s return hyped for the January 1st Day 1 RAW, anything is possible.

People close to Andrade El Idolo indicate that a return to WWE is a possibility, but he remains open to staying if Tony Khan puts forward a more enticing offer than WWE. Some have voiced concerns about AEW not fully utilizing Andrade, who hasn’t secured any championships in the promotion.

Andrade is also interested in collaborating with New Japan Pro Wrestling if the opportunity arises. While he would have liked to participate in the FantasticaMania show in February, scheduling conflicts prevent him from doing so.

It was later reported by Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select that Andrade El Idolo wrapped up his time with AEW at Worlds End, as he lost to Miro. His exit was reportedly not a pleasant one. Tony Khan also confirmed Andrade’s exit during the press conference following the pay-per-view, but he provided an open door for his eventual return.

Andrade Reportedly On His Way Out Of AEW — WWE Return Expected Soon

AEW Worlds End is set to take place on December 30th, and the roster is ready for anything. One star is reportedly wrapping up his time with AEW in Long Island, and Andrade is WWE-bound after that.

Possible Spoiler On WWE Return

Wrestle Purists reports that they have been told by sources around AEW that Andrade El Idolo is expected to wrap things up with Tony Khan’s company at AEW Worlds End. It was then noted that Andrade is expected to arrive in WWE on the January 1st episode of RAW.

According to WrestlePurists sources, Andrade El Idolo is expected by many in AEW to finish up with the company tonight at World’s End.

He is also believed by many within AEW to be heading back to WWE. Some think it could happen as soon as the Day 1 RAW.

A WWE source we spoken to is aware of the talk surrounding Andrade and is expecting him to join the company imminently.

A WWE return makes sense for Andrade, because his wife, Charlotte Flair, works for the company. She is currently out of action for 9 months due to a knee injury, but The Queen would definitely cheer on Andrade’s WWE return from home.

Andrade’s AEW Exit Isn’t Pleasant

Sean Ross Sapp later reported on Fightful Select to note that Andrade’s exit from AEW wasn’t pleasant. He made it known to a lot of people Wednesday at AEW Dynamite that he intends on leaving the company.

Fightful Select learned this week that Andrade and AEW were set to no longer work together, with most expecting it to culminate at the AEW Worlds End show. Numerous sources indicated that Andrade made it clear this past Wednesday at AEW Dynamite he no longer wanted to be with the company and was planning on leaving. We’re told that the situation surrounding Andrade’s exit was less than pleasant, with some even saying a major disagreement had unfolded.

WWE Day 1 Surprise Planned

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that said WWE is looking to add some star power to their Day 1 show. A former champion is expected to return, but no specific name has been reported yet.

Andrade’s inclusion in the Day 1 episode would bring a surprise reaction, but the real question then lies on Triple H’s plan for the former NXT Champion.

Triple H Comments On WWE RAW 1 Surprise

Triple H heard the report that someone is coming back at WWE RAW’s Day 1 event on January 1st. He commented to stoke the flames a bit on that rumor.

Not going to confirm or deny the rumors of a former @WWE Champion appearing at #WWERaw Day One… but I will say to stay tuned.

WWE RAW Day 1 Location

WWE will hold their Day 1 RAW at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego. It appears that they are preparing a big return for the show.

RVD Questions AEW Talent’s Respect Level For Veterans

AEW promised a new era of professional wrestling when they opened their doors. Their rebellious branding may have also filtered into their backstage environment as well, because the company has a reputation of having younger talent who aren’t interested in taking veteran advice.

CM Punk and Jack Perry’s backstage scuffle at All In London was caused by Perry’s defiant nature. Punk advised against Perry using real glass several weeks prior, but he didn’t have a say in his match at Wembley Stadium. After Perry dropped Hook on the windshield of a car, he made a point to tell the camera that it was real glass so, “cry me a river.”

The Backstage Rumor About AEW

It appears that RVD can back up that attitude that is currently in the AEW locker room. The Whole F’n Show has made a few AEW appearances so far, but never inked an official contract.

During an interview with Party with Marty, RVD stated that he’s head the same thing from Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. AEW has those veteran minds around, but nobody is sitting under their learning tree.

“I heard Tully Blanchard say it, and I’m told Arn Anderson said it too, although that is hearsay, that the young guys don’t want their input ever. [They] never ask them ever for any help or anything on their matches and stuff … I mean, that’s important to me. It makes me think, do they think they know it all? Do they not respect them enough? But also, it’s awkward for them because they’re not taught like us to go around and shake everyone’s hand and stuff.“

AEW May Have A Problem

CM Punk had a great time at the WWE Performance Center. He reported while he was there as well. It appears that he found himself in a setting where younger talent were more than happy to listen. Life Goes On For CM Punk

CM Punk had a great time at the WWE Performance Center. He reported “held court” while he was there as well. It appears that he found himself in a setting where younger talent were more than happy to listen.

CM Punk and Jack Perry’s backstage altercation wasn’t the only one in AEW history. Other skirmishes and backstage drama have also dotted the company’s history, such as Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo’s public tiff, one that involved a backstage altercation.

AEW has a lot of veteran talent around, and we haven’t heard from all of them on this subject. Jake “The Snake” Roberts is backstage, and he has also spoken in the past that he is willing to do anything Tony Khan asks of him. We have to wonder if Tony Khan is supporting the practice of listening to the veterans he has on his payroll.

It seems that the rumor and innuendo would say that AEW talent aren’t too interested in hearing what the former generation has to say about what they’re doing for Tony Khan’s company.

CJ Perry To Make CMLL Appearance For The First Time Alongside Andrade

AEW star Andrade El Idolo is making his comeback to CMLL for the first time in many years but he’s not coming alone as his manager CJ Perry is also set to make her debut.

The former Lana made her debut for AEW at September’s All Out pay-per-view. She came out to a thunderous reception from the fans following her husband Miro’s match against Powerhouse Hobbs. This marked her first appearance at a pro wrestling event since she was let go by WWE in late 2021.

On a recent CMLL show at Arena Mexico, a vignette saw Andrade El Idolo in which he announced that he would return home to CMLL. It was only a couple of weeks back that CMLL teased a star would be returning soon and this led to tons of speculation that Idolo might be making a return. Well, he’s not only coming back home but also bringing CJ Perry alongside him.

CJ Perry to make CMLL debut

On CMLL Twitter account, Andrade El Idolo announced that CJ Perry will be making her debut at Arena Mexico on Friday, December 15. Check out the video clip below:

Back in the day, Andrade performed under the name La Sombra and this will mark the Mexican superstar’s first appearance for the promotion in eight years.

Before joining WWE, he lost in a Mask vs. Mask match against Atlantis at CMLL’s 82nd Anniversary show. Notably, he is a former IWGP Intercontinental Champion which he captured during his run with the company as part of an agreement between CMLL and NJPW.

Andrade is also participating in the Continental Classic tournament, where he has acquired 9 points. ‘El Idolo’ is set to face Claudio Castagnoli on AEW Collision this Saturday.

Meanwhile, CJ Perry, who previously performed as Lana in WWE, will be gearing up for her debut in Mexico. You can read why CJ Perry decided to take a break after leaving WWE below:

“Thank You!!! Bye” – Andrade’s Cryptic Message About His Future

Andrade El Idolo’s future with AEW has remained a mystery lately.

In early October, Andrade and fellow AEW talent Sammy Guevara reportedly engaged in a physical altercation. On the site of October 5th’s episode of Dynamite in Washington D.C, El Idolo was subsequently sent home, while Guevara stayed. There, he teamed with Chris Jericho, defeating Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia in the main event.

Since then, Andrade has remained off AEW programming, and reportedly suspended, according to the Wrestling Observer. In the wake of his absence, Andrade recently responded to a fan about possibly quitting the company, but quickly deleted the tweet.

Now, he has posted a cryptic message on Instagram, hinting at a possible departure from All Elite Wrestling.

Tony Khan Addresses Andrade’s Absence

Tony Khan

AEW President Tony Khan recently addressed the absence of Andrade (and Miro) during a post-show Full Gear media scrum.

“You’ve seen people take some sabbaticals, absences, breaks from AEW for various reasons and come back and get very involved,” he said, “and I think that’s still, for both of those guys, something that you could see.”

Although the reasonings for their absences may be different, both have remained off television. Nevertheless, Tony Khan finished by saying he “would like to get both of them involved again in the future,” including Andrade.

As of this writing, Andrade’s future in AEW remains uncertain. As he seemingly says “thank you” for his time in AEW, indicating a possible departure, Tony Khan wants to get El Idolo reintegrated into the product.

Sammy Guevara and Andrade Fight Backstage at AEW Dynamite (Updated)

There’s even more drama between Andrade and Sammy Guevara to report, this time resulting in the second backstage fight in AEW over the last 31 days.

According to both TMZ and Fightful Select, there was an altercation backstage on Wednesday prior to the tapings beginning in Washington, D.C. Both outlets report that after some arguing, Guevara pushed Andrade. TMZ’s reporting then notes that there were “punches” thrown, while Fightful Select notes that Andrade fired a punch at Guevara following the push, though its unknown at the moment whether the punch connected.

(Update: On Thursday morning, Fightful Select updated their reporting on the fight and noted that it is now believed that Andrade was the aggressor and Guevara even pushing Andrade is not a confirmed fact. On Wednesday night’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez noted that Guevara was trying to avoid fighting. One source indicated Guevara may have pushed Andrade after he was spun around by Andrade, but that wasn’t confirmed. They report that Andrade got two punches in before things were split up.)

As reported earlier on Wednesday, Andrade was removed from Wednesday night’s AEW Rampage tapings where he was supposed to work against Dark Order’s 10 in a career vs. mask match. 10 has been booked in a different match instead while Andrade was sent home. Guevara was allowed to stay at the tapings and was booked for the main event of Dynamite.

Both Fightful and TMZ are adamant that this story is not a work and that it was a very real altercation.

Following the fight, Andrade took to his social media and posted a graphic that reads “respect me and i’ll respect u.”

Guevara and Andrade have been going after each other on social media and in interviews over the last week. Numerous sources in AEW noted that if it was a work, it wouldn’t be a very good one to be doing as it paints the locker room in a bad light following the fight between Kenny Omega, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson, CM Punk, and Ace Steel after AEW All Out last month.

Several at AEW have noted that the locker room has been more harmonious in recent weeks following some backstage meetings that involved Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson speaking up about getting everyone on the same page. The current situation between Guevara and Andrade is seen as especially disrespectful to those three because of how they have tried to pull everyone together.

SEScoops will provide updates as this situation continues to develop.

Ric Flair Wishes He’d Have Managed Andrade In AEW

Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair wishes that he’d have managed Andrade in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Speaking on his podcast, “To Be The Man,” Flair talked about wanting to manage his son-in-law for his current run in AEW. However, AEW president Tony Khan opted not to go that route in the end.

“I haven’t spoken with him, I knew he had a big match … I don’t really what — really haven’t kept track of what he’s doing there,” Flair said.

“I had hoped, as I told you before, I wish Tony would have let me manage him. He is an absolutely phenomenal worker and tough kid. I wish I could have managed him, but I guess Tony elected not to go with me for whatever reason.”

Ric Flair has managed Andrade several times before. One of the more memorable times being when Andrade faced Kenny Omega for AAA, as well as at the World Wrestling Council 49th Anniversary show in Bayamon, Puerto Rico when he faced Carlito.

Now, Andrade finds himself in AEW, where he’s experiencing some issues backstage. He recently engaged in a war-of-words with Sammy Guevara on Twitter over a recent interview in which Andrade revealed tensions between himself and Guevara backstage after one of their matches.

Now, Andrade has been teasing wanting a release from AEW. He’s even slated to compete in a Career vs. Mask match against Preston Vance.

If Andrade wins, Vance must remove his mask. If Andrade loses, he’s forced to leave AEW.

Andrade To Sammy Guevara: I’m Not Scared To Get Fired

Andrade is not scared to get fired from All Elite Wrestling (AEW) amidst his current issues with Sammy Guevara.

Recently, an interview with Andrade and Mas Lucha revealed issues that the AEW star had with Sammy Guevara. Guevara apparently complained that Andrade hit him too hard during a match they had inside the ring.

“I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl.

“After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it. It’s funny because not even in WWE.

“For example, Sheamus likes to hit, and all my respect for him because he loves to hit hard and loves the strikes. He is wild. Even The Miz likes to throw strikes.

“Not even John Cena complained about me, so if he did not complain, imagine this kid who is just starting, but there’s that.”

Seemingly responding to Andrade’s interview, Guevara took to Twitter and took a shot at Andrade, calling him a “jobber.”

Andrade then responded, suggesting he’s not afraid to speak up when he has an issue with someone. He then ended off his Tweet by saying he’s not afraid to get fired.

Andrade has seemingly been looking for his AEW release, using the hashtag #FreeElIdolo on social media lately. He’s actually slated to face Preston Vance in a Mask vs. Career mask. If Andrade wins, Vance must remove his mask. If Andrade loses, he’s forced to leave AEW.

Perhaps this is AEW’s way of writing Andrade off AEW TV – whether that be temporarily or permanently.

AEW Star Tells Unhappy Talents To ‘Get The F**K Out’

The October 7 episode of Rampage will mark the two-year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s last match. AEW has announced a very interesting match between Andrade and Dark Order’s 10 for this show.

The stipulation for the match is that 10 will have to give up his mask if he loses the battle while the former La Sombra will ‘leave AEW forever’ if he loses the bout.

With reports of Andrade being unhappy with his spot in AEW, this stipulation is making many wonder if this will be his last appearance for the company.

10 Takes Aim At Andrade

The war of words between the two AEW stars has also picked up before the upcoming match. Preston “10” Vance recently made a very interesting tweet, telling people who are unhappy with the company to ‘get the fuck out’:

“This isn’t just for me. This is for Dark Order. This is for Brodie. This is to show the world why I’m still handpicked. See ya bitch. Next week we show the world what Friends In Dark Places is all about. If you don’t wanna be here get the fuck out. Now that’s cowboy shit.”

AEW will be presenting a rare live edition of Rampage from the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington DC this Friday.

Another Big AEW Star Seemingly Unhappy With The Company

Tony Khan and AEW have been on a hiring spree in the last year or so. They have brought in people like CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli.

However, these big signings have also led to some other names being overlooked, who fans believed would be presented properly after joining the company.

AEW star Miro suggested that he wasn’t happy with his position within the promotion just yesterday. Now Andrade has joined this list.

The former NXT champion recently liked a tweet from a fan calling out Tony Khan for signing ex-WWE stars just to have them doing nothing in the promotion:

Just like Miro, Andrade also joined All Elite Wrestling not long after leaving WWE in June last year. The former US champion was frustrated with the lack of exposure in the Vince McMahon-owned promotion.

However, the former La Sombra hasn’t found himself in a much better position after jumping ships. He hasn’t been put in any significant feuds and has had no title runs in his first year in AEW.

He has also been caught in the rivalry between AAA and CMLL, which led to a big Forbidden Door match between him and Will Ospreay getting nixed.

With Triple H taking over the control of WWE creative, the prospect of someone like Andrade being pushed in the rival promotion has increased significantly.

Though there is no word on if Andrade’s unhappiness in AEW has anything to do with the recent changes in WWE.

Andrade Provides Update On His Injury After Recent Revelation

Andrade has provided an update on his health. This comes after AEW President Tony Khan revealed that he is dealing with an injury.

Khan originally revealed the news while responding to a fan. The fan had commented on the absence of the former NXT champion from AEW programming.

Replying to him, the AEW owner noted that Andrade is actually out with an injury. He revealed that the Mexican star suffered the injury while competing with Rey Fenix three weeks ago. Though TK did not provide any further details on his condition.

Andrade Provides An Update

Andrade himself later took on his Twitter to address the concerned fans. He noted that his injury is nothing serious and he is expected to be cleared in a week or two:

The former US champion was part of the WWE roster from 2015 to 2021. He won multiple titles in the company before asking for his release in March 2021.

Andrade made his debut for AEW in June the same year. While he has been featured regularly on AEW programming ever since, many believe that he hasn’t been used properly by the company.
