Andrade El Idolo recently called out Sammy Guevara in an interview with Más Lucha. He has also spent weeks using the #FreeElIdolo hashtag on social media in yet another backstage drama issue in All Elite Wrestling.
He claimed that the former TNT Champion complained backstage because he hit him too hard and this resulted in Guevara sending out a tweet referring to someone as a “jobber”. Sammy didn’t mention Andrade by name but the timing made it relatively obvious.
You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch.
Andrade responded and claimed that Sammy is scared. Guevara directly responded to that tweet and claimed that Andrade only has a job because of Ric Flair and just wants to go back to WWE.
YOU didnt say shit to me you liar but heres some truth you ungrateful prick You would be jobless if it wasn’t for your dad in law. Are you really mad at me or mad at yourself for failing to get over for a SECOND time. Just go back to Wwe like we all know you want to do & fuck off https://t.co/licsudpp6o
Backstage Update On Sammy Guevara & Andrade El Idolo
Fightful has provided another update on the drama between Andrade and Sammy. Several staff and talent have commented to Fightful Select about the latest drama in All Elite Wrestling between Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo. Guevara also recently had an issue with Eddie Kingston but claims that he’s just minding his own business and is exhausted by the drama.
According to Fightful, one source stated that if it is a work, it is a bad one. A top talent in All Elite Wrestling was angered by how things played out because it paints a bad picture of the locker room.
Fightful added that the locker room has been more of a unit following the brawl at the All Out media scrum between CM Punk and The Elite. The now infamous brawl forced AEW President Tony Khan to suspend former AEW Champion CM Punk and the new crowned Trios Champions Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
An AEW original told Fightful that they viewed the situation between Sammy Guevara and Andrade as disrespectful to Bryan Danielson, Chris Jericho, and Jon Moxley. Those three put in a lot of work following the brawl after All Out to get the locker room on the same page. The report noted that Fightful spoke to some more people that confirmed that the locker room is better nowadays and they aren’t going to concern themselves with the latest drama.
Last Friday during AEW Rampage, Andrade El Idolo challenged Preston “10” Vance for his mask. Vance added his own stipulation: Andrade must leave AEW for good if he loses. However, that match is now off.
Tony Khan tweeted that it was off, but didn’t give a reason. He only said the new match will now be Dark Order vs. Death Triangle for the World Trios Championship. “10” will get the shot he missed at All Out.
For weeks, Andrade and Jose the Assistant, have been trying to persuade “10” to join him. Vance has declined and they’re usually run off by the other members of Dark Order.
To add another layer to the match that was supposed to happen, October 7 is the anniversary of Mr. Brodie Lee’s final match. The mask that “10” dons was given to him by the late Lee as he was handpicked for Dark Order.
After the original match was announced, “10” tweeted that this match was for Dark Order and for Lee.
This isn’t just for me. This is for Dark Order. This is for Brodie. This is to show the world why I’m still handpicked. See ya bitch. #AEW#DO4Lifehttps://t.co/nltzSDnuZE
Late Monday night and into Tuesday, Andrade and Sammy Guevara had been exchanging barbs on Twitter in embarrassing fashion. You can read more about their childish behavior here.
This comes on the heels of backstage drama being aired publicly. CM Punk went after multiple people at the now infamous ALL OUT media scrum, followed by BRAWL OUT. Guevara had issues with Eddie Kingston, which lead to the latter being quietly suspended.
After several locker room meetings, it seemed that the AEW locker room had been united and had stabilized. This is another example that band aids can only do so much.
Andrade El Idolo is sick of talents being treated unjustly, and has called out a certain promotion for doing it.
The AEW superstar, who had already made headlines this week due to his online dispute with Sammy Guevara, is criticizing Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide for not paying their talents well during an interview with Más Lucha, specifically mentioning AAA’s current Mega Champion, Hijo del Vikingo. Andrade even suggests that Vikingo, who has become one of AAA’s most popular stars, needs to get out of that situation.
Andrade Claims CMLL Pays Opening Match Talents Better Than AAA Main Eventers
While is isn’t sure of their exact payments Andrade speculates that Vikingo is making $100-$200 per match, later adding that the other major Mexico based lucha-libre promotion CMLL pays their opening match talents more than AAA main eventers.
A clip of this portion of Andrade’s interview has circulated online. (Special thanks to LuchaBlog for the translation)
Andrade telling Hijo del Vikingo he needs to get out of AAA now because they're treating him unjustly as champion by how little they're paying him – Andrade's guessing 100 or 200 USD a match. Andrade later says he's heard CMLL opening match guys make more than AAA main eventers. pic.twitter.com/CcLLPY2HCT
Cinta De Oro, formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE, responded to Andrade’s recent tirade with Guevara to support and thank him for calling out certain injustices in wrestling. You can see that exchange below.
Solo es la verdad hermano! Por mucho tiempo hemos dejado que hagan con nosotros los que quieren, pero es tiempo de luchar por el lugar que nos merecemos.👊🏽
Andrade is set to face Preston “10” Vance on this Friday’s AEW Rampage, which has major implications for both men. If Vance loses he must give up his mask that was given to him by the late Brodie Lee, but if Andrade loses his AEW career is over.
Recently, an interview with Andrade and Mas Lucha revealed issues that the AEW star had with Sammy Guevara. Guevara apparently complained that Andrade hit him too hard during a match they had inside the ring.
“I had an issue with him because he once came to the locker room and complained that we hit him too hard. It’s wrestling, solve it in the ring. If I hit hard, hit me hard too. I learned that he came in and that he accused me like a little girl.
“After I learned about it, I spoke to him and asked if he had an issue with me, but he said he did not and that’s all there was to it. It’s funny because not even in WWE.
“For example, Sheamus likes to hit, and all my respect for him because he loves to hit hard and loves the strikes. He is wild. Even The Miz likes to throw strikes.
“Not even John Cena complained about me, so if he did not complain, imagine this kid who is just starting, but there’s that.”
Seemingly responding to Andrade’s interview, Guevara took to Twitter and took a shot at Andrade, calling him a “jobber.”
You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch.
Andrade then responded, suggesting he’s not afraid to speak up when he has an issue with someone. He then ended off his Tweet by saying he’s not afraid to get fired.
I said it to your FACE if you had a problem with me and you said NOTHING, I wont beat your ass because im a professional, don’t be scared.
When I say something I name names, and im not scared to get fired! #Sammy
Andrade has seemingly been looking for his AEW release, using the hashtag #FreeElIdolo on social media lately. He’s actually slated to face Preston Vance in a Mask vs. Career mask. If Andrade wins, Vance must remove his mask. If Andrade loses, he’s forced to leave AEW.
Perhaps this is AEW’s way of writing Andrade off AEW TV – whether that be temporarily or permanently.
Andrade El Idolo isn’t afraid to make his feelings clear about All Elite Wrestling amid reports of an exit.
In recent weeks, Andrade has teased departing the promotion, including using the #FreeElIdolo hashtag on social media.
Andrade has also liked and retweeted comments saying he has underutilized in Tony Khan’s first promotion.
El Idolo will face Preston ’10’ Vance in a career vs. mask match on this Friday’s AEW Rampage.
Stuck
Speaking to Más Lucha, El Idolo addressed his current situation with All Elite Wrestling.
El Idolo, who’s yet to hold gold in AEW, confirmed that he is still with the company, but laughed when he asked how he feels about AEW.
Andrade believed he would grow in AEW, but currently feels stuck in the company.
He did comment that he is signed to a great contract and schedule.
A WWE Return?
With the AEW star teasing an exit, many believe that he is hoping to return to WWE.
A former NXT Champion and United States Champion, Andrade is a name WWE would likely try and sign, given that Triple H is now head of Talent Relations.
Speaking about the Game, Andrade said that Triple H was a big supporter of his during his time in WWE, and is thankful for all the help he received from the WWE Hall of Famer.
Andrade added that while he cannot speak with Triple H or WWE directly, he can indirectly communicate through his wife and current WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair.
Andrade El Idolo is scheduled to put his AEW career on the line against 10 (Preston Vance) of Dark Oder. If Andrade loses the match, he must leave All Elite Wrestling forever. However, if El Idolo wins, then 10 must remove his mask forever.
The 32-year-old recently was interviewed by Más Lucha about various topics. At one point during the discussion, Andrade brought up former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara. Sammy recently had a backstage altercation with Eddie Kingston following one of his promos leading up to All Out.
Eddie was suspended following the altercation for two weeks and the match at All Out was postponed Sammy decided to release a statement shortly after and called Eddie unprofessional. AEW has seemingly spun the drama into a storyline as the two wrestled at Rampage: Grand Slam, with Sammy picking up the win via DQ to continue the feud.
Andrade spoke about an issue he had with Sammy backstage as well and claimed that the 29-year-old complained backstage because he hit him too hard. The interview was in Spanish but has been translated by a Twitter user below. El Idolo stated that Sammy complained backstage about it and he settled the matter using words. Andrade added that Sheamus hits people hard in WWE and nobody complains about it.
Lol at Andrade saying that Sammy Guevara complain about Andrade being too stiff in the ring.
Andrade says he had a confrontation with Sammy Guevara after he cried backstage about hitting him too hard. Andrade settled it with words and it didn't amount to anything.
Sammy Guevara hopped on Twitter a few hours ago and sent out the following tweet. He didn’t mention anyone by name but the timing leads one to believe he’s talking about Andrade.
You are a jobber. A favor hire. Be grateful bitch.
Andrade requested his release from WWE in March 2021. He debuted in All Elite Wrestling on June 4 last year and hasn’t done much in the promotion thus far. The former NXT Champion has been using the hashtag #FreeElIdolo on social media lately, and the announcement of the Career vs. Mask match on Rampage has led many fans to believe his time with the promotion may be coming to an end.
Andrade El Idolo has been using the hashtag #FreeElIdolo on social media and it was announced during tonight’s episode of Rampage that his AEW career will be on the line in an upcoming match.
During a backstage segment on this week’s edition of Rampage, Andrade El Idolo and Jose The Assistant interrupted an interview with Hangman Adam Page and the Dark Order. Hangman Page is scheduled to battle Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship on a special Tuesday night edition of Dynamite on October 18th.
El Idolo rolled a clip of Hangman eliminating “10” Preston Vance from Dark Order during the Golden Ticket Battle Royal at Rampage: Grand Slam last week. Andrade and Vance got face-to-face and started trading words.
Andrade challenged Vance to a match and said that he will have to remove his mask if he loses. Vance increased the stakes and stated that Andrade will have to leave All Elite Wrestling if he loses the match. AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter to make the match official. The bout will take place on the two year anniversary of Brodie Lee’s final match in AEW. Brodie was the leader of the Dark Order when he sadly passed away in December of last year.
Andrade El Idolo debuted in All Elite Wrestling in June 2021. He formed the Andrade-Hardy Family Office with Matt Hardy, Butcher, Blade, Jora Johl, and Jose The Assistant. The faction booted Matt Hardy and has since rebranded as “La Faccion Ingobernable” and added Rush to the group.
It was announced earlier today by Tony Khan that Rush has signed a contract to join All Elite Wrestling’s roster. Andrade El Idolo was ringside for Rush’s victory over John Silver in the main event of this week’s Rampage.
AEW star Andrade El Idolo has plenty of moves at his disposal, but don’t expect him to bust out a spinning elbow in the ring.
After years of working in WWE, where he became NXT Champion and United States Champion, Andrade was released last year, after having his initial request to be let go denied.
When a fan tweeted a clip of El Idolo using the spinning elbow on Johnny Gargano, the former NXT Champion said he is not allowed to use the move anymore.
While Andrade didn’t give a reason, it’s likely that the move has been banned for him, due to the spinning elbow bearing a striking resemblance to Chris Jericho’s Judas Effect finisher.
Andrade’s most recent match for AEW came at All Out, where he lost in the Casino Ladder Match to the Joker, later revealed to be MJF.
His most recent non-Pay Per View match was a month ago on the August 17, 2022 Dynamite, where he, Dragon Lee and Rush lost to the Elite.
Leaving AEW?
Andrade has been with AEW for over a year now, but his tenure with the company could be coming to an end.
In August, fans were critical of his booking in the company, with one tweet claiming that both he and Miro have been booked worse than when they were in WWE.
This tweet was liked by El Idolo, which came at a time where reports of talent being unhappy were becoming more common in the company.
This culminated in a talent-wide meeting prior to August 24, episode of AEW Dynamite, where Tony Khan addressed communications issues within the promotion.
During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk challenged ‘Hangman’ Adam Page to a title match, which was not accepted by the Cowboy.
It has since been reported that Punk’s actions were not part of the plans for the show, and that the AEW World Champion knew that Page was not scheduled to appear on the show.
Seemingly going into business for himself, Punk’s promo has sparked a discussion among fans about reported real-life beef between himself and the man he dethroned as AEW World Champion in May.
Backstage Drama
Punk and Page appear to have some issues, but they are not the only ones who are causing things to be tense behind the scenes.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that “a ton of backstage drama involving many of the top guys that has gotten much worse in recent weeks.”
Meltzer added that AEW President Tony Khan may have no other choice but to arrange a meeting with everyone to “air everything out” before things get any worse.
“It feels like a number of people are close to their breaking point if things don’t get settled.”
Dave Meltzer on the tensions within AEW right now.
Unhappy Talent
Punk may have a problem with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, but the reigning AEW World Champion isn’t the only unhappy talent right now.
Earlier this month, Miro liked a tweet suggesting that he had it better in WWE, where he became a three-time United States Champion as ‘Rusev.’
A separate tweet, that argued that Miro was being wasted in AEW, and the same went for Andrade El Idolo, was liked by the former NXT Champion.
Since AEW was founded, the company has welcomed several former WWE Superstars, including some of the latter promotion’s biggest names.
CM Punk, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson and others all reached fame and fortune in WWE, before trying their hand in Tony Khan’s company.
In February this year, Cody Rhodes would leave AEW, and would return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, defeating Seth Rollins.
Who Could be Next?
Since returning to WWE, Cody Rhodes has received a hero’s welcome, being booked as one of the promotion’s biggest stars.
Cody’s impressive comeback has led to speculation on who could possibly join him when their deals with AEW expire.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T took to his Hall Of Fame podcast to discuss who he’d like to see make a splash in WWE next.
“I’d love to see Wardlow, as well as Andrade, come back to WWE because he’s not doing anything significant in AEW — not saying that he’s not going out and performing. He’s performing, but you think about Andrade in WWE, and he had some star on him. He had some upside, but I don’t know. I could be wrong about this; I could be wrong.”
Will they Jump?
Wardlow has never worked in WWE, but the promotion has been keeping a close eye on the AEW TNT Champion.
In January, it was reported that WWE has an interest in Wardlow, and are expected to make him an offer when his contract with AEW is close to expiring.
Andrade recently liked a tweet, claiming that Miro would do better if he returned to WWE, and that El Idolo would do so as well.
It’s been one week since Ric Flair wrestled what was advertised as his final match, and now the man himself has spoken about what he thought of the performance.
Flair’s final match was part of an entire weekend of events in Nashville that was broadcast on FITE and promoted in conjunction with Conrad Thompson’s Starrcast V. Flair’s match, wrestled under the Jim Crockett Promotions banner, saw him team with son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to take on Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a winning effort.
“I’m very happy with it. I needed to give it one more shot. I feel like I didn’t go out the right way, and to have the relationship now that I do with Andrade, with Charlotte, to have a son-in-law like him to be a tag team partner, for him to tag with me and have the whole family there and his family who I’ve gotten to know well, it was big for all of them,” Flair said.
He continued, “It was especially big for me because my entire family was there and the only person to get an opportunity to do that twice. Once in 2008 with Shawn Michaels (at WrestleMania 24) and now with my son-in-law in Nashville. It was big.”
Flair Appears At Puerto Rico Wrestling Event, Gets Physical
Despite his final match, Flair isn’t done appearing at wrestling events. And by the looks of it, he’s not done getting physically involved at wrestling events.
Flair joined Andrade Saturday night in Puerto Rico at the WWC Aniversario 2022 show. Andrade wrestled Carlito, and during the show, Flair confronted Carlito’s father, the legendary Carlos Colon.
As you’ll see from the photos below, Flair took a blow to the head.
Make sure to check out the Top Rope Nation wrestling podcast for your weekly dose of pro wrestling talk featuring interviews, analysis and exclusive news: Apple – Spotify – YouTube.
Last month, Ric Flair competed in his final match, bringing his legendary wrestling career to an end.
Flair teamed with Andrade El-Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, in the main event of the ‘Ric Flair’s Last Match’ Pay Per View.
The match came eleven years after Flair’s previous bout (a TNA 2011 loss to Sting) and the 16-time World Champion has made it clear that he means it with this retirement.
Getting Physical
Ric Flair may indeed be officially retired from wrestling, but the “Dirtiest Player in the Game” isn’t afraid to still get physical when it matters.
Last night, Flair joined his son-in-law in Puerto Rico, as the AEW star and former WWE NXT Champion faced Carlito at the WWC Aniversario 2022 event.
On Twitter, Flair shared some photos of him confronting Carlito’s father and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Carlos Colon.
In the first image, Flair can be seen removing his jacket to confront the Puerto Rican legend, while the second image shows Flair taking a shot to the head.
The match, which was the main event of the show, saw Carlito defeat Andrade with Puerto Rico’s Ray Gonzalez acting as special guest referee.
After the show, both sides were more civil and posed together for a photo.
In addition to Carlito, Andrade, Flair and Colon, Charlotte Flair, daughter of Ric and wife of Andrade, and Carlito’s brother Primo joined them for the picture.
Andrade El Idolo is the latest AEW star to be sidelined with an injury.
He hasn’t wrestled since his victory over Rey Fenix on the June 22 episode of AEW Rampage, which marked Rush’s AEW television debut as he helped him to score the win.
On Friday’s episode of Rampage, Andrade is set to accompany Private Party to ringside when they take on the Lucha Brothers.
Certain fans have criticized the promotion for how they booked Andrade since he arrived in the company last year. When fans noticed he was being used as a manager on this show, one fan asked AEW President Tony Khan why the former NXT Champion wasn’t wrestling himself.
Khan responded to the fan on Twitter by noting that Andrade has been injured since his Rampage match with Fenix.
“He’ll be ringside for Private Party vs Lucha Bros on #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama tonight, he’s been hurt since the classic vs @ReyFenixMx 3 weeks ago. He got @IsiahKassidy & @Marq_Quen to help him tonight, & Lucha Bros both still want a piece of @AndradeElIdolo & @rushtoroblanco too.”
Fans should expect to not see at least three AEW stars compete at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door – Andrade El Idolo and The Lucha Bros
Andrade had previously tweeted that he cannot work with NJPW and cited CMLL and AAA Lucha Libre as the reasons why which led to speculation about his status for the June 26th show.
Lucha Blog reports that not only will Andrade be missing AEW’s crossover show with New Japan, but Penta Oscuro and Rey Fenix will be missing the show as well.
“I’ve since been told Andrade was booked on Forbidden Door and is no longer booked on Forbidden Door. Fenix & Penta will also not be appearing on Forbidden Door, as confirmed to me by multiple sources. Andrade’s tweet should be taken at face value. This is bad for everyone,” The blog stated.
Penta is one of the eight men in the AEW All-Atlantic Championship Tournament where if he beats Malakai Black then he would be going on to the pay-per-view to compete for the title. However, with him not being scheduled for the show, that’s a clear indication he won’t be going over in the bout to advance.
As it turns out, Rush is not All Elite, after all.
The world-renowned luchador made a surprise appearance at last month’s AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view. During a backstage segment, Andrade El Idolo announced he was dissolving the AFO faction. He then introduced Rush as his new business associate.
The former Los Ingobernables partners could raise hell in AEW, but Rush reveals he’s not under contract with the promotion.
In a new interview with Lucha Libre Online, Rush says he’s working limited dates for AEW and is negotiating with Tony Khan about signing a contract.
Rush’s Status with AEW
“I am grateful to Tony Khan for giving me the opportunity,” said Rush. We are still under talks and negotiations. For now, there are just dates.”
– Rush isn’t signed with AEW just yet
“I already did the first jump, which is being in the PPV, and not just a segment, but they gave it the value that both Rush and Andrade have. They left that promo for the end. Nobody expected it, not even my own family.”
RUSH debuts at AEW Double or Nothing 2022
After holding the ROH World Championship twice, Rush now has his focus locked on All Elite Wrestling. He sees dream matches with AEW’s top stars and isn’t shy about name-dropping who he wants to work with.
“For now, my objective is AEW, I am now in AEW and I want to face the biggest names. I want everything! I am not going for the minimum. You name it! CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Moxley, Samoa Joe, the best they have.”
He continued, “Imagine Rush vs Samoa Joe. There’s a lot of material. Bryan Danielson vs Toro Blanco Rush, two ex ROH World Champions against each other. There’s Moxley, which they state is the most extreme one. They need to see a real Mexican badass. A lot of people have requested this match… Rush vs. Kenny Omega. We can finally have that match.”
AEW boss Tony Khan was on edge at the conclusion of the street fight between Cody Rhodes and Andrade El Idolo.
Rhodes vs. Andrade closed out the Dec. 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. The show emanated from the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA. Fans got even more than they bargained for.
The ending of the match saw Brandi Rhodes return to set a table on fire. Cody planted Andrade with a reverse DDT off the turnbuckle for the win. It was Cody who took the brunt of it, however, as he landed back-first onto the flaming table.
Tony Khan Was Nervous After Cody-Andrade
Once the match concluded, all Tony Khan wanted to know was whether or not everyone was alright. Even Arn Anderson took a spill during the match.
“It was amazing. It was such a great street fight and thankfully both guys will be okay and they both will be able to wrestle again because that was a crazy match.
“That’s the kind of stuff that can shorten careers, end careers. So, we’re very grateful for both Cody and Andrade El Idolo.
“Great street fight main event and absolutely Cody sent the fans home very happy from that match. I really, really enjoyed the street fight although it was pretty nerve-racking backstage.
“But thankfully everything came out okay and when you have a match like that, that’s all you can really hope for is that the wrestlers come out okay.”
The flaming table spot certainly has its supporters and detractors. Some believe that Cody taking the worst of the spot took away from the ending. Just don’t tell that to Bully Ray.

This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw Cody Rhodes and Andrade el Idolo crash through a burning table in the main event. The show was in Rhodes’ hometown of Atlanta and evidently he wanted to do something big that night.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, both are said to be okay following the big spot. Rhodes was treated for burns backstage but his injuries are not said to be serious.
“Cody Rhodes and Andrade el Idolo were both not badly injured when they went through a flaming table at the 12/1 Dynamite street fight main event,” wrote Dave Meltzer.
Rhodes did have some type of substance on his back that was meant to prevent burning from the flaming table spot. This was visible during the match but commentary noted that the substance must have been something from the trash can he was hit with.
Both men had bits of flaming table on them as they went into the pin. Andrade can be seen flicking bits of flaming wood off his and Cody’s body as the match came to a conclusion.
Rhodes and Andrade are now 1-1 against each other in singles competition. Andrade defeated Rhodes when they first met on Dynamite at the beginning of November.
Bully Ray is fired up over the criticism he’s seen following the Cody Rhodes vs. Andrade El Idolo street fight.
Cody and Andrade had a memorable street fight inside the Gas South Arena in Duluth, GA. The match closed out the Dec. 1 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The match came to a thrilling conclusion when Brandi Rhodes made her return and lit a table on fire. With Cody and Andrade perched on the turnbuckle, Cody nailed Andrade with a reverse DDT through the flaming table and scored the pinfall.
Some fans have been critical over the table spot because Cody ended up taking the brunt of it, going back-first through the flames.
On an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said he thought the spot looked cool regardless.
“Cody took the fire, Andrade took the move. Could I say, ‘Cody should’ve never went through the table? Cody should’ve been selling more through the fire and this, and this?’ Yep, I could sit here and do that all day. Who the f*ck cares? It looked cool.”
Bully then proceeded to go scorched earth on the critics.
“If Cody botched it go get a table, go get some lighter fluid, light it on fire, film it in your backyard and do it better. ‘Cody botched it. Andrade botched it.’ What did they botch? Your mother botched you at birth.”
Well then.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio provided a brief update on the flaming table spot. He was told that “everyone is okay.”
That includes Arn Anderson, who took a scary spill on the entrance ramp.

Andrade El Idolo has revealed how long his current AEW contract runs and when he might become available for signing as a free agent.
The former NXT champion recently spoke to Milenio. He discussed things such as carrying the legacy of his father, how he started wrestling at the age of 13 and more.
When asked for his short-term goal in AEW, Andrade revealed that he has signed a three-year deal with the promotion. He explained that he is looking at the world title because he didn’t get the opportunity in WWE:
“Now I have a three-year contract with the AEW, I’ve only been half a year, I am looking for the most important championships with them since in WWE they did not give me that opportunity and in this new company I want those opportunities.”
Andrade El Idolo made his AEW debut in June this year, aligning himself with Vickie Guerrero. A three-year deal means he will stay with AEW at least until mid-2024.
Apart from this, the AEW star also talked about things such as having Charlotte Flair as his partner, the difference in wrestling styles of Mexico and America, and more.

The singles match between Pac and Andrade “El Idolo” will no longer take place at All Out.
The All Out PPV event is scheduled to take place this Sunday night (Sept. 5). A feud has been brewing between Pac and Andrade. As of late, Andrade and Chavo Guerrero have been trying to pull Lucha Bros from Pac, which has left “The Bastard” in a foul mood.
The two will not be able to settle their differences inside the Now Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, however.
Tony Khan took to his Twitter account to announce that Pac vs. Andrade is now off the All Out card due to travel issues. He revealed what will replace the match on PPV.
Thank you to you fans supporting #AEWDynamite LIVE next on TNT! The Women’s Casino Battle Royale, which was booked on the Buy In, will now be featured on the ALL OUT ppv card. Due to travel issues, the @BASTARDPAC vs. @AndradeElIdolo bout is postponed until a future #AEWRampage
“Thank you to you fans supporting AEW Dynamite LIVE next on TNT! The Women’s Casino Battle Royale, which was booked on the Buy-In, will now be featured on the ALL OUT PPV card. Due to travel issues, ‘The Bastard’ Pac vs. Andrade “El Idolo” bout is postponed until a future AEW Rampage.”
As Khan mentioned, Pac vs. “El Idolo” will now take place on a future episode of AEW Rampage. There’s no word on exactly which date the rescheduled bout will fall on.
Sting will wrestle on TNT tonight for the first time in over 20 years. He’ll team with Darby Allin to take on the newly signed team of 2.0. During a recent interview with Metro UK, however, Allin was asked about a possible dream match pitting him and Sting against Andrade and Ric Flair.
“Yeah, that’d be fun! Anything is possible, I feel,” Allin said about the possible dream match. “You’ve just gotta be patient and see what goes down, and where the wind takes you.”
Flair accompanied Andrade El Idolo to the ring for his match against Kenny Omega at TripleMania. Not only that, Flair got physically involved in the match. He delivered chops to both Omega and Konnan. Flair and Andrade also gave Omega and Konnan figure four leglocks simultaneously.
Allin also spoke about his relationship with Sting during the interview. The former TNT Champion noted that they spend a lot of time together backstage and have quite a bit in common.
“He’s the guy I really hang out with backstage,” Allin said of Sting. “His dressing room, he’s got his own little private dressing room and he says it’s mine.”
“So, it’s just me and him chilling and talking about a bunch of stuff. He’s cool, we’ve got a lot more common than people think – goes beyond the face paint!”
Sting Returns To In-Ring Action On TNT
Sting was quoted in an AEW press release regarding his return to in-ring action on TNT tonight.
“My relationship with TNT goes back more than 25 years, so having the opportunity to wrestle on the network that housed some of my most important moments is pretty surreal,” said Sting. “The return of crowds has already been electric enough over the past month and a half, but there’s going to be an extra surge of adrenaline in Houston knowing that we’re live on TNT on Wednesday night.”
AAA’s TripleMania XXIX event took place Saturday night from Mexico City, Mexico. One of the top matches saw Kenny Omega retain the Mega Championship against Andrade El Idolo.
Wrestling legend Ric Flair was in attendance. He accompanied Andrade to the ring and roughed up Kenny Omega, as seen below.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that the original plan was for Andrade to win the match and win the title. AEW reached out to AAA officials and requested they delay the title switch until a further date.
Charlotte Flair missed a WWE live event in her hometown to attend TripleMania in Mexico City with Ric Flair and Andrade.
The Queen of WWE was advertised for Saturday night’s live event from Charlotte, North Carolina. Konnan, who was put in a figure four by Andrade El Idolo during TripleMania, posted this photo with Ric and Charlotte Flair backstage.
The highly-anticipated title match between Kenny Omega and Andrade has wrapped up.
Omega and Andrade did battle inside Arena Ciudad de México in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City, Mexico. Omega’s AAA Megacampeonato Title was on the line.
Before the match, Konnan and Andrade had a disagreement backstage. Andrade told Konnan that he doesn’t want him in his corner. As a result, Konnan entered Omega’s dressing room with a business proposition that would ensure victory.
Late in the match, Konnan distracted the referee on the ring apron. Kenny capitalized, bumping the referee into Andrade. He went to hit Andrade with the belt but Flair thwarted this attempt. He and Andrade took turns chopping Omega’s chest. Konnan got in the ring and took a figure-four leglock for his efforts. At the same time, Andrade had his own figure-four on Omega.
It wasn’t enough for Andrade, however. Kenny Omega eventually was able to hit Andrade with the belt. He then nailed him with the One-Winged Angel to retain the gold. Omega remains a bit of a belt collector with the win, although he recently lost the Impact Wrestling World Title to Christian Cage.
AEW star Andrade El Idolo reportedly wants to have ‘the whole family’ with him in All Elite Wrestling.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that means that the former WWE Superstar wants to see stars from ROH and beyond make their way over to All Elite.
Dave Meltzer confirmed that the new AEW signee wants to bring more than Chavo Guerrero with him over to All Elite, with his partner Charlotte Flair someone who he is really eager to see make the jump over from WWE.
“Andrade has told people that he wants the whole family there. And by the family, it’s, you know, RUSH, Bestia, Dragon Lee, him, Ashley [Charlotte], Ric, that’s what he wants. Ashley, you know, I don’t know her. I’m certainly not going to speak for her, I sense that she wants to be in WWE, that it’s the big leagues to her.”

Andrade Wants Charlotte Flair in AEW
It’s doubtful that Flair will be making a move over to AEW, but there’s a chance that this news was leaked to try and help secure the WWE Superstar a better contract.
With Charlotte Flair one of the bigger names on the main roster, WWE will no doubt want to ensure that she does not go anywhere, and news like her partner wanting her to move to the competition (despite what Vince McMahon may say) is a good bargaining tactic for negotiation.
Ric Flair however is a different prospect, with the former WCW and NWA star almost a shoe-in to appear on the AEW product, with the history between himself, the TNT network and stars such as Tully Blanchard? There’s at least a one-off appearance waiting to happen for the Nature Boy.
