WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has updated his blog, which you can read in its entirety at JRsBarBQ.com. Here are some highlights of what he said about:
Sting’s 7-4-14 Tweet: “Lots of @Sting speculation as to what 7-14-14 means but to spill the beans, if I knew, would be to spoil a cool surprise. Needless to say, I’d suggest, without leading anyone astray, that watching RAW Monday night would be judicious.”
Daniel Bryan’s Status: “Not sure what to believe or not to believe regarding the physical status of Daniel Bryan but most of what I’m reading isn’t positive. Often times a surgery will reveal other issues and it seems that may have been the case here. The bottom line to this entire matter is to get Bryan healthy and, above all else, not to rush him back into the ring. I feel confident that WWE would never allow this to occur but certainly in the territory days of years gone by promoters would want the talents to get back in the ring ASAP. Plus, the talents themselves would push the envelope because most of them did not have guaranteed contracts and if they did not work they did not get paid notwithstanding they paid their own medical bills. Times have changed much for the better in those areas.”
How Bryan’s Absence Affects Roman Reigns: “With Bryan out TFN, it’s also imperative that WWE be cautious in how they market, promote and build Roman Reigns. Overexposure can result in a backlash neither of which the WWE or Reigns needs at this point in his development. Does Roman Reigns or any other WWE talent need to be on virtually every TV show that is produced such as RAW and Smackdown? Absolutely, not.”
Gail Kim vs. Angelina Love: “Wanted to mention last week that I really enjoyed the @GailKimITSME vs. Angela Love match last Thursday on @ImpactWrestlilng on @SpikeTV. The ladies worked hard, I knew who the villain and the heroine were, and they had the time to tell a viable story. This stuff isn’t rocket science folks. However, we seem to be living in an age where pro wrestling is more ‘over thought’ these days than ever before and we can all see the results of that mindset.”
Angelina Love vs. Madison Rayne for the TNA Knockouts Championship has been announced for next week’s edition of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV. Also announced is a match featuring Willow vs. Bram.
Above is a video preview for next week’s Impact Wrestling.

The following are highlights of a new ImpactWrestling.com interview with Angelina Love:
On what it was like returning to TNA: “It was magical, it felt so great to be back in front of the fans in an Impact Wrestling ring! This is my life, this is what I do and I felt right at home.”
On if we will see the good or bad Angelina Love: “Well it’s good being bad isn’t it?! Lol! You can believe the rumors out there if you want. But this time around, you will be seeing a smarter, wiser and more BEAUTIFUL Angelina. I got to explore some of my other passions; competing in two fitness competitions and filmed a TV show called “Dark Rising: Warrior of Worlds”. I really had time to relax and open up my spirit and take better note of what is beautiful & important in life. My growth has been outstanding and my eyes view the world much differently now.”
On what it was like being in the ring with Velvet Sky last week: “It was amazing of course! We share a bond closer then sisters; no matter how much time & space come in between can separate that. The Beautiful People is a part of myself & Velvet together, always has been, always will be. She has done amazing on her own since my departure and I’m so proud of her. I feel that so much time has gone by and if we were able to put the Beautiful People back together… it would start a new era in the Knockouts Division… a beautiful one!”
“The Beautiful People changed not only TNA but women’s wrestling when we debuted. Look at the number of copycats that popped up when we were on top. Often imitated but never duplicated. In 2014, I look at who is out there… and there isn’t anyone who can touch what Velvet and I can do together. I just hope Velvet makes the right decision this Thursday!”

TNA Knockout Velvet Sky appeared on The Big WrestleShark Show this past Tuesday discussing her TNA career and plans for 2013. For the entire interview, including details of the UK tour and her plans to “let the pigeons loose”, head over to WrestleShark.podbean.com or search WrestleShark in the iTunes store. It was also announced on the show that Bully Ray would be on the show next week.
Here are some highlights of what Velvet Sky said about:
What led to her return to TNA Impact Wrestling:
“TNA is my home, I came here almost six years ago at Bound for Glory and this is my family. All the knockouts all the guys: I couldn’t stay away for too long because I missed it terribly. So the powers that be worked it out for me to come back.”
Anyone she is particularly close to in the company that encouraged her to come back:
“I wouldn’t single just one person out…maybe Madison Rayne. She’s one of my best friends here. She would text me almost every day ‘When are you coming back, we miss you, we love you.’ I mean we go back to the Beautiful People days when we would travel the globe together. But you know I’m friends with the guys, and they would reach out to me and the office would reach out. It just made my decision to come back all that easier.”
What led to her initial departure?
“It was just business issues, it was never personal with anybody. It was just a business decision I had to make is all I’ll say, I had to do what was best for me at the time. It was just me looking out for me. But everything is all worked out now and this is what’s best for me.”
Had she considered going to the competition?
“No…never say never, but you know I never considered it while I was away because this has been my home. TNA gave me my first shot at my dream, so as I said this is my home.”
Opinion on the current Knockout Division:
“Well it is a lot different now, but either way we still have a really great group of girls who make up the division. It’s not the same as it used to be and only because I was here since the birth of the Knockout division six years ago and all the girls like Roxy and Taylor Wilde and Kong are no longer with us. They were the bread and butter of the Knockouts Division, they helped create what is so special now and like I said, the girls we have now are great, but it will never be the same, it will never have that same feel because all the girls that started are no longer with us. But I love the Knockouts we have now.”
On The Beautiful People:
“People ask me what’s my favourite time in TNA and I will always say, we had so much fun, the original, heel Beautiful People; with the makeovers and the brown paper bag treatment and just our heel antics. We had a good run, unfortunately Angelina is no longer with the company but I am going to push all the time for a Beautiful People reunion and hopefully once they get tired of me asking so much, hopefully they’ll bring her back. It’s been my best time in wrestling so far.”
Her reaction to Angelina Love leaving:
“I was so upset, but you know it was out of her hands: she didn’t wanna leave. But she is doing phenomenally well in her outside projects: she’s doing movies and conventions all over the world, she’s right where she was meant to be right now. But I still bother them all the time to let us do one more Beautiful People run but I don’t know if it will happen. I mean never say never, but I don’t know if it will.”
On Beautiful People Imitations:
“My reaction to that is always ‘Often Imitated, Never Duplicated’. We are proud that the success of our tag team inspired other girls to…try and be like us or to imitate us, but there is only one team of the Beautiful People. I say that humbly! So humbly! But the chemistry we had together…no one can replace that, it was an irreplaceable tag team.”
In 2013:
“I’m going to prove to everyone that I am a credible Knockouts champion. I’ve had to fight my way through almost everyone in that division to earn my way to it and I will hold that title soon.”
‘. * SPOILERS For This Week’s IMPACT WRESTLING From The UK

Like Sky, fellow “Beautiful People” founder Angelina Love parted ways with the organization in the summer. She was asked on Twitter whether she plans to follow suit by returning to TNA, and responded, “No, I have zero ties to TNA.”

– Watch Before The Bell: Final Resolution, a half-hour broadcast special spotlighting tonight’s Final Resolution pay-per-view event.
– Angelina Love, who will take on former TNA Wrestling rival Winter at Top Rope Pro Wrestling’s New Year’s Chaos on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Kentucky, promoted her appearance in an interview with the Augusta Free Press as she recalled her start in the professional wrestling industry.
Growing up “slightly tomboyish” and a fan of wrestling dating to when she was 7-years-old, Angelina Love, whose real name is Lauren Williams, enrolled in a wrestling school in Canada at age 18, and “after three weeks of training, wanted to just quit.” Frustrated that she wasn’t getting it, Love actually quit wrestling for a few weeks before giving it another shot.
“I just loved wrestling so much that after a few weeks, I was just, I need to get back in the ring and see if i can figure this out,” Love said. “Once I got back into the ring and started training, doing arm drags and realizing how to do this properly and do that properly, once you’re finally able to do things properly, you start to feel better about yourself and your learning abilities. So it got better from there.”
Though she does not regret becoming a wrestler, it has been a grueling life.
“I’ve had more injuries than I’d wanted to ever get,” Love said. “And travel – “if you like to travel, it’s good. Some people get sick of it real quick. I still like it,” said Love. “For a lot of people, being away from home is tough. For me, I pretty much just say with my condo that I pay my cats’ rent, because they live here more than I do.”
In response to people who dislike women’s wrestling, she says, “Some people hate women’s wrestling, some people love it. It’s their opinion. I always go out there and do my best to give people reasons to love it.”
– Daizee Haze made her first appearance at a wrestling event in over a year last Saturday at a Dynamo Pro Wrestling event in Glen Carbon, Illinois, as she accompanied MsChif to the ring for her match against Sean Vincent.
CHIKARA announced last year that Haze would be taking an indefinite hiatus from professional wrestling to focus on her “health and recovery.” The promotion, however, publicly attributed Haze’s leave of absence to a storyline rather than a legitimate private matter. The indy standout’s health drew great concern as she appeared emaciated in her last appearances.
– Chris Jericho told a group of fans at a Journey concert this past weekend to “stay tuned” when he was asked about returning to WWE.
– “The Beautiful People,” Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, will face Jessie Kaye and Niya at Maryland Championship Wrestling event taking place Saturday, Oct. 27 at 2401 North Point Blvd. Dundalk, Maryland. The former TNA Wrestling talent will also participate in an autograph signing. (Event Information)
– Wade Barrett tweeted the following in regards to his match with Sheamus on Raw: “My face is a tad sore after the cheap-shot, but i’m not complaining as i’m not a big girl’s blouse like most are. FYI, I can fight dirty with the best of ’em. I just choose not to. #RealMan”
– El Generico, who Ring of Honor teased over the weekend would be returning to the promotion as an opponent for Kevin Steen, has not signed a contract. His status with Dragon Gate USA remains unchanged.
– Following recent productive weekends with Angelina Love at various events, Velvet Sky posted a message on Twitter Sunday thanking Vince Russo for teaming the two together five years ago when he devised characters and storylines for TNA Wrestling.
“Wanna shout out Vince Russo & thank him 4 creating the team of #TBP. After all this time we r still going stronger than ever @ActualALove,” Sky wrote. “I for one never forgot where I came from and who helped create my success along the way. Thank you Russo!!”
Love added, “He was always wonderful to us!!”
Sky was then notified of the “bad things” Russo did for professional wrestling. She responded to the fan, “Fortunately I am a positive person and focus on the good on people.”
She also re-tweeted, “That’s very nice of you & I hope people realize that Vince Russo did great things in wrestling & should not be bashed.”
– Sunday at Bound For Glory, Kazarian had a bad fall while executing a leap from the top rope into a hurricanrana off the apron on Hernandez as he landed hard on his shoulder and side torso. He is said to be fine following the event, minus some soreness in his ribs, according to PWInsider.com.
Kazarian and Christopher Daniels lost the TNA World Tag Team Championship to Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez in a three-way match, which also included AJ Styles and Kurt Angle.
– The Wrestling Observer reports that one of the reasons ‘some women’ have quit TNA Wrestling in the past year stems from the belief that Bruce Prichard, Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, is not in favor of women’s wrestling. This would also explain why the Knockouts division is not as given as much prominence as in the past, with only a few talents being highlighted.
Angelina Love and Velvet Sky reportedly left the promotion on their own accord and the roles of Mickie James, Rosita, Sarita and Winter were greatly curtailed after Prichard came into power last October. (more…)
– WWE has finalized their contract agreements with Sara Del Rey and PAC. Both independent wrestling standouts will report to the company’s developmental base in Tampa, Florida shortly. Both contracts had been waiting approval after they took mandated physical and mental exams.

– Nicole and Brianna, formerly known as The Bella Twins, addressed their future in the professional wrestling industry during a newly released “shoot” interview with RF Video.
Though the twin duo are currently pursuing non-wrestling endeavors, they ‘definitely’ plan on stepping inside the square circle again. Brianna, however, noted that she is unsure when that will occur. When asked if they may reemerge in TNA Wrestling, Brianna said they couldn’t imagine appearing for the promotion since WWE has been very good to them and are considered ‘family.’ They do, however, view TNA favorably in regards to their handling of female talent. Brianna said they ‘love’ how the girls are given a lot of ring time and are considered main-eventers.
– Angelina Love, who parted ways with TNA Wrestling in July following a fruitful tenure that included five title runs, stated Thursday on Twitter that she will not give interviews discussing the nature of her departure from the organization as well as behind-the-scenes matters.
She wrote, “For those who keep inquiring, I will NOT be accepting any interviews based around my leaving TNA, the reasons behind it, the state of the current Knockouts Division, management, etc etc. I’ve done my one major post-release interview already with @FeeltheMayhem, so if u need answers, go download the interview. I’ll be glad to talk about all my wonderful upcoming bookings, adventures and future gigs, but that’s it folks! Thanks!!”
– Though no longer scheduled for this weekend’s Raw live events after undergoing surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow Tuesday, John Cena will be on hand for Monday’s Raw in Albany, New York at Times Union Center.
He tweeted Thursday morning, “Rehab, Day 2. Much less grouchy today. I apologize to @wwe and I also PROMISE to be at #raw THIS MONDAY IN ALBANY. just hate being hurt,” Cena wrote. “Ill be at #NXT today. I am very excited to study those I will soon be competing against. See u guys mon on #RAW.”
Big Show will replace Cena at this weekend’s Raw live events as CM Punk’s opponent in WWE Championship bouts.
– Big Boss Man is the latest addition to the official WWE website’s Alumni section. Javits Convention Center located on 655 West 34th Street, New York, New York 10001. SmackDown General Manager Booker T, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love are also advertised to appear.
Don’t expect the likes of Alex Shelley, Velvet Sky, Devon, Angelina Love or even Hall of Famer Ric Flair to pop up in a WWE ring anytime soon. According to Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer, Vince McMahon’s company is steering clear of any and all recently affiliated TNA Wrestling talent while the two grappling organizations do battle in court.
On May 23, 2012, TNA Entertainment, LLC. filed a lawsuit in Nashville, Tennessee against World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. and Brian Wittenstein, a former office worker for both organizations. TNA accused WWE of obtaining secret contract information in an attempt to poach their talent in violation of Tennessee’s Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
Wittenstein, who worked for TNA Wrestling for three years, was terminated on August 3, 2011. At that time, he entered into a Separation Agreement and General Release, preventing him from disclosing certain confidential TNA information. TNA alleges that Wittenstein violated the agreement by downloading confidential TNA trade secrets and providing that information to WWE after joining the organization months later. Although WWE fired Wittenstein and alerted TNA officials as to the disclosure of the information, TNA claims WWE waited three weeks to notify them and has used the confidential information, including data regarding wrestler compensation, to recruit contracted TNA talent to work for WWE. Wittenstein’s contract with TNA had specifically ordered that he not share confidential information about the organization after his employment ceased.
Matt Morgan, who had teased joining WWE since concluding his contractual obligations to TNA in June, resurfaced at Saturday’s house show in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dressed in street clothes, Morgan entered the ring through the crowd and laid out Robbie E. Meltzer wrote on the F4WOnline.com message board regarding Morgan’s apparently renewed partnership with TNA, “I guess that tells you about that TNA lawsuit now since they didn’t take Morgan.”
It has also been speculated that Alex Shelley and Ric Flair could wind up in WWE now that both individuals are free agents. Meltzer, however, reveals that the organization is not negotiating with either talent despite being legally able to.
“Nobody is talking about Shelley and they won’t even officially talk to Flair even though his non-compete is up,” he wrote.
Following the lawsuit filing, it was reported that TNA was looking to cut costs by restructuring talent contracts when they expired. This ploy appears to have led to the respective departures of Devon and Velvet Sky since both talents reportedly left the organization due to their financial terms not being reached on new deals.
– Mickie James will hold a musical concert celebrating her birthday this Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at Kingdom 10 Walnut Alley Richmond, Virginia. (Event Details)

Angel Williams/Monday Night Mayhem Interview (MP3 Streaming Audio): www.wrestleviewradio.com/WVIP_Preview/mnm082012.mp3
Interview highlights courtesy of Paterson, MNM’s associate producer & official correspondent:
Why she felt the time was right to leave TNA/iMPACT Wrestling and start a new chapter in her career: “There’s no big fancy story, there’s no scandal. It’s nothing too big. I spoke to all the appropriate people. It was just my time. It was just my time to go. I was there for five years, was a five-time Knockouts Champion and one-time (Knockouts) Tag Team Champ, and did a lot with a lot of people storyline-wise. I guess I accomplished everything you could. Of course, I was always coming up with ideas, and wanting to do more, and trying to be creative, and get myself into this storyline and that storyline. Some things were being talked about, but mutually and completely amicably, we just decided it was my time, and that was it.”
Whether or not there was a noticeable difference in the direction of the Knockouts division after Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff joined the company: “I don’t know really. I find (Hulk) Hogan to be very, very cool. He was super supportive of the Knockouts division, and would always watch our matches, and give feedback, and was like ‘You girls kick ass.’ I think they know that the Knockouts division is a big part TNA, and it really helps out the show, but they are pretty supportive of it.”
How the idea for the upcoming Beautiful People reunion (featuring herself and Velvet Sky) came about: “We wanted to get The Beautiful People back together. The fans really wanted to see it too, and we really wanted to give that to the fans. We both get tweeted that numerous times every day from fans wondering when we were going to get back together in TNA and how they wanted to see it. We both still wanted to do it, because it was just so fun. With me leaving and with Velvet leaving, we kind of just said we could do whatever we want now, so it was just a given. For at least the next two and a half months, we have a lot of stuff coming up together.”
The level of interest on her end to sign with the WWE if the opportunity presented itself: “Yeah absolutely, I would love to. I think that would be awesome. It would be really, really fun. I really haven’t worked with many of the girls there, so it would be all new possibilities, and that’s fun.”
Much more is contained in Angel’s exclusive interview with Monday Night Mayhem, including the reaction of her former colleagues in TNA/iMPACT Wrestling regarding her departure, the inspiration for the “Angelina Love” ring name, whose idea it was to initially team her up with Velvet Sky, what the experience of The Beautiful People meant to her personally and professionally, her initial reactions to having Cute Kip, Madison Rayne, and Lacey Von Erich as members of the team, the evolution of the Knockouts division, how much truth there is to the rumor that LayCool (Michelle McCool and Layla) were put together by the WWE based on the success of The Beautiful People, the experience of training in the WWE developmental system (with Deep South Wrestling), the possibility of working with/against Beth Phoenix, Natalya, and AJ, if she believes The Beautiful People could be successful in the WWE Divas division, which opponent she would like to square off in her “dream match,” her blossoming acting career (including the details on filming “Dark Rising”), plus much more! Mayhem Nation: Be sure to follow Angel right now on Twitter (at www.Twitter.com/ActualALove) for more information on the highly-anticipated reunion of The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky & Angelina Love), which heads your way beginning this September!
