    — Shane McMahon briefly appeared during today’s telecast of the 2011 Masters Golf Tournament on CBS. The former WWE executive and talent was seen congratulating a golfer.

    His brief appearance resulted in ‘Shane McMahon’ trending worldwide on Twitter.

    — Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro no-showed yesterday’s K&S Wrestlefest “Super Saturday” event in Essington, Pennsylvania. Event organizers told fans she wasn’t able to make it.

    This is not the first time in which the former Playboy model has no-showed a wrestling convention as she bailed on a few bookings shortly after her departure from WWE two years ago. She also no-showed a K&S Wrestlefest event last July.

    — Former WWE manager Paul Bearer celebrates his 57th birthday today.

  • Update On Ashley Massaro, Roddy Piper Cancels For WWE, More

    — Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro has been announced for K & S presents Super Saturday taking place April 9 at the Ramada Philadelphia Airport 76 Industrial Hwy. Essington, Pennsylvania. The one-time Playboy cover girl will also be filming a shoot interview with Highspots.com that weekend in which she discusses her involvement with the professional wrestling industry. Fans can submit questions to Highspots@aol.com.

    — WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper has canceled his planned comedy performances on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 in Atlanta, Georgia in order to appear for World Wrestling Entertainment functions WrestleMania XXVII weekend. He will, however, still perform on Thursday, March 31 at The Punchline. Piper announced yesterday that Sgt. Slaughter would appear at the event.

    — Santino Marella, Brie Bella and Nikki Bella’s appearance on the latest episode of Cake Boss replays Saturday at 7:00 p.m. on TLC.

  • Ashley Massaro Rips Velvet Sky, Discusses Future Plans

    Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro appeared on last night’s episode of the online show Highway 2 Helms (hosted by former WWE talent Gregory Shane Helms), during which she took a noteworthy shot at TNA Knockout Velvet Sky.

    While Helms was discussing a WWE road story that took place years ago in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jonny Fairplay name dropped Velvet Sky, Helms’ former beau. Massaro immediately blurted out, “Fuck that bitch!” She then pretended that she said it by accident before laughing.

    The two wrestling starlets have a history of bad blood as Velvet Sky stated during a June 2008 interview that the escort agency allegations surrounding Massaro at the time were “disgusting.” She said that people close to Massaro told her that they would not be surprised if the allegations were true. The TNA Knockout also didn’t believe the reports of Massaro being mistakenly identified (for a Las Vegas based bikini model, which was never confirmed).

    Massaro stated earlier in the webcast that she has a show coming out this fall, but would not reveal details. She also mentioned appearing on the DivaMania Tour, which kicks off Saturday at Starters Riverport in Bethlehem, PA.

  • X-Pac Taken To The Emergency Room, Party With Former Divas

    — Former WWE talent Sean “X-Pac” Waltman was taken to the emergency room last night at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York Saturday after landing his chest on a guard rail during a Pro Wrestling Syndicate event in Lake Ronkonkoma.

    As Waltman was going through security at a nearby airport following the show, the wound, which had been glued shut, opened and blood started gushing out. An ambulance was called and he was rushed to the hospital. Waltman has since been released and was expected to fly home Sunday.

    — Ashley Massaro, Maria Kanellis, Tiffany and Katie Lea kick off the “DivaMania Tour” on Saturday, March 19 at Starters Riverport 17 West 2nd St. Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The autograph signing takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. The former WWE Divas will then host a party at Starters beginning at 11:30 p.m. For more information call 610-625-2300. Admission to each event is $10.

    Jillian Hall was due to appear at the event, but canceled after announcing her pregnancy. She has since been replaced by Ashley Massaro, who will be making her first wrestling related appearance since 2009.

    According to the gossip section of this morning’s New York Daily News, former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro is reportedly involved in a new reality series that would feature her as the object of affection for a group of men who would face off in mixed martial arts bouts in order to win her heart.

  • Update On Ashley Massaro, AAA Interested In Big Names, More

    — 2005 Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro has resurfaced online as she has launched accounts on Twitter and Facebook. She explained that she deleted her former Twitter account several months ago due to an ‘asshole (boyfriend) in (her) life’.

    She added, “K so I’m finally breathing again, single and free, like I said I made mistakes- HUGE- like deleting you-never happen again, not fo NO MAN.”

    Since parting ways with WWE over two years ago, her public appearances have largely been limited to hosting club parties. She hosted a party last night at The Chelsea Room in New York City.

    — Konnan indicated in a recent radio interview in Mexico that he’s interested in bringing Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Booker T, Carlito and Big Daddy V to AAA for big events in 2011.

    — The newsstand edition of the January 2011 issue of WWE Magazine features a hologram cover. John Cena is pictured.

  • “The Situation” Encounters Goldberg, Massaro No-Shows Event

    Jersey Shore star Mike Sorrentino (a/k/a The Situation) recently encountered former WWE and WCW Champion Bill Goldberg on the red carpet of an event in Las Vegas, Nevada. He apparently tried to upstage the former wrestling superstar, as the following was noted by The Heyman Hustle: “Our Las Vegas photographer reports “Mike Sorrentino, who is on the 16th minute of his 15 minutes of fame as The Situation on MTV’s Jersey Shore, was trying to upstage Goldberg on the red carpet at Vanity in Las Vegas. Though Goldberg was playful, you could tell he wasn’t going to let The Situation get the better of him.”

    — Ashley Massaro was scheduled to appear at K&S Wrestlefest’s “Heat Wave” event in Carteret, New Jersey this past Saturday, but no-showed the event. No reason was given for her absence and her whereabouts remain unknown at this time. This is not the first time in which the former Playboy model has no-showed a wrestling convention as she bailed on a few bookings following her departure from World Wrestling Entertainment two years ago.

    On another note, one very young girl went with her mother to Saturday’s show specifically to see the former WWE Diva, but left after a few hours when they realized she was not coming.

    — Ring of Honor will tape it’s next internet pay-per-view event, Glory By Honor IX, on September 11, 2010 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. A meet-and-greet session with WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk is being offered for fans attending the event.

  • Massaro To TNA? No iMPACT! On 5/31, Spike Dudley & More

    – Former WWE Diva and Playboy cover model Ashley Massaro is apparently interested in joining TNA Wrestling as she has retweeted several messages asking company president Dixie Carter to hire her. She herself commented on possibly joining TNA, writing:

    “I say you want me at TNA, maybe let Ms. Dixie know? :o) you guys are the sweetest, love you so much!”

    – Spike TV will not be airing TNA iMPACT! on Monday, May 31st, 2010 (Memorial Day) and Thursday, June 3rd, 2010. Most of Spike TV’s regular programming is being pre-empted on Memorial Day for a Band Of Brothers marathon and a movie will be shown instead of Impact that Thursday. This explains why the TNA taping on Monday, May 31st was canceled and the taping on Tuesday, June 1st was moved to Wednesday, May 19th. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

    – Team 3D are pushing TNA officials to sign Matt Hyson (a/k/a Spike Dudley) to a contract.After a three-year hiatus, Hyson returned to TNA under the name Brother Runt on the March 15, 2010, edition of Impact! in a six man tag team match, where he and Team 3D were defeated by The Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart. This was said to be a one time deal.

    – Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, a longtime wrestling fan, appeared on this past Thursday’s episode of TNA Today. You can view the archived episode here.

  • Superstar Moved To Raw, WWE Using Ex-Diva’s Theme Song

    — The WWE website has moved Vladimir Kozlov’s profile to the Raw Superstars section after debuting this past Monday night on the company’s flagship show. Talent yet to be officially assigned to a new brand following the demise of ECW include Abraham Washington, Byron Saxton, Tony Atlas, Tyler Reks and Vance Archer.

    — A third official WrestleMania XXVI theme song, “Be Yourself” by Audioslave, was confirmed this past Monday night on Raw. The song may sound familiar as it was the official theme song of the 2005 RAW Diva Search and was temporarily used as the entrance music of the winner of that contest, Ashley Massaro.

    — WWE returns to the Fed-Ex Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday, May 30th, 2010 at 5 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 24th, 2010 at 10 a.m. (Thanks to Devin Cutting)

    — Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro has announced that she has gotten engaged to be married. She posted the following note on her Twitter account this past week:

    “Yep yep I can’t f*cking believe it! – jusT got engaged to the love of my life!!!!!”

    — Ultimate Warrior is looking to increase his online presence this year as he has a new website in the works.

    — A fourth generation wrestler, Dory Funk IV, teamed with his grandfather, Dory Funk, Jr. (and Johnny Magnum) at last night’s !BANG! television taping in Ocala, Florida at the Funking Conservatory. Managed by WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart, they squared off against Damien Steele, Shane Chung and Blain Rage.

  • Former WWE Divas Reunite, WM27 Location Revealed

    — TNA Knockout Tara (formerly Victoria in WWE) has posted a picture on Twitter with several other WWE divas, including Candice Michelle, Ashley Massaro and Torrie Wilson. To see the picture of the 4 former WWE divas together, click here.

    — Atlanta, Georgia’s 70,000+ person Georgia Dome will host WrestleMania 27 next spring, according to AccessAtlanta.com. WWE will make the announcement on Monday at a press conference at the Georgia Dome. “Atlanta has a long-standing reputation of hosting the highest level of sporting events,” said Atlanta Sports Council president Gary Stokan. “Adding Wrestlemania 27 to our list of wins would further showcase Atlanta as the sports capital of the world.”

    — Former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro attended the Survivor finale red carpet event held two weeks ago and was telling people that she’s had discussions with Dixie Carter about working for TNA. Though there is a good chance she will ultimately wind up in the company, it’s not expected to be imminent.

    — TNA officials were planning a feud between The Motor City Machineguns and Generation Me, but Alex Shelley is battling serious problems with his back and neck which could cause him to miss significant ring time.

    — Kip James was hanging out backstage at this week’s television tapings. Though he was recently dropped as a talent, he is still under contract to the organization as officials are trying to find a new role for him.

  • Monday Night War Details, Ashley Massaro’s New Tattoos

    — The January 4th edition of WWE Raw, which will go head-to-head with TNA’s special 3-hour Monday night iMPACT!, will tape place from the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. The show is currently scheduled to be a 2-hour broadcast, but it will be interesting to see if WWE offers any counter programming to offset TNA’s 1-hour lead-in that night.

    — Ashley Massaro got some new tattoos on her wrists over the weekend. The former WWE diva wrote a message on Twitter saying, “This is one of 2 I got yesterday, small but were building, awesome artist, i wanted to distract from the roman num”
