The following are highlights from a new online blog by WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross:
On Legends Of Mid-South Wrestling DVD: “The Legends of Mid South Wrestling DVD produced excellently by WWE will be released in North America this Tuesday and soon thereafter in other parts of the world. I’m obviously biased because that’s where myself and many greats of the game got our start under the watchful and forceful eye of Cowboy Bill Watts and I think that fans are going to love this DVD release.”
“One of the DVD extras, the 40+ minute NWA Title bout featuring Ric Flair vs. Terry Taylor, is an absolute clinic for any wrestler to observe and from which to learn. Plus, many fans will see the amazingly physical side of Hacksaw Jim Duggan who was a stalwart and became a star in Mid South.”
On Batista’s future in WWE: “Reviews for my friend Dave Bautista’s work in the new film ‘Riddick’ have been stellar. Dave is a talented guy and has developed his personality amazingly well since we first signed him many years ago. That comes from hard work and focus of which ‘The Animal’ never had a shortage. Hopefully, if the timing is right, Batista will be able to make a cameo or two in WWE in the future as I’m sure that his fans would love to see him.”
On Monday’s RAW and the WWE mobile app: “I watched quite a bit of Monday Night RAW this week on the WWE app and enjoyed the content. Nice concept for the die hard fan who craves all the content that they can get plus the material in the commercial breaks on the APP tied storyline matters together nicely.”
On rumored WWE romances and the WWE Divas: “One can tell that sports entertainment is truly ‘evolving’ as it relates to pop culture, social media, etc as I have read recent online reports of various, ‘rumored’ WWE romances. One of the more unique dynamics within the business that I experienced was when the number of Divas on the roster grew quickly and the ladies became a regular part of the locker room environment. Interesting days indeed. Little did we know then how much the Divas would add to the presentation and how many doors those ladies would open for others.”

“Sup Tweeple?!! Longer day than expected. Guardians is going to be insane! I’m about to pass out but fuck it! Q n A 4 5! GO!! And I apologize in advance for not being able to answer everyone.. And I’ll use my E.S.P. and go and answer the question I’m asked everyday all GD day… I don’t know when or if I will ever go back to wrestle!! I would love to but there’s a ton of other factors that I would have to weigh in. Shit like..how much will I be fined if I bleed? And who would I work with? And will I have the freedom to other things that I want to accomplish in life? Ya Know?!! ..but I do mss it. And I miss the fans alot. Even the dipshits who boo me and make up BS about me and smear it all over the iternet. Anyway..5 , GO!!!!”

Former WWE Superstar Batista tweeted the following inspirational message about tweeting your dreams. Bring on the “slow news day?” comments, keep it moving if you’re not interested, or enjoy this brief pep talk from a man that’s achieved more success in his life than most:
“So this is my random rant of the day before I hit the sack. Been reflecting alot cuz I’ve spent the last 10 days and nights alone. And it just seems so crazy to me that I’m in London getting ready to co star in a Marvel film! A kid from Washington DC who didn’t always have food to eat and was embarrassed to go to school because my raggedy clothes were from good will and my shoes had holes in them!! I’m not particularly talented, good looking, smart, athletic, etc.etc…But I’ve been able to entertain millions of people around the world. And i want to share some advice with anyone who wants some on how i got to do these things. And if just one person takes my advice then this novel of a tweet will be worth it. Get the fuck out of your comfort zone! Chase that dream of yours that seems unattainable and everyone else says you can’t do! Don’t half ass it! Don’t make a couple calls and wait for something to happen.Go for broke! Try out! Audition! Take classes! Get out and network! Everybody starts somewhere!Yes people will hate on you and make fun of you and take every cheap shot they can. And yes you will be rejected and laughed at! So what!! Fuck people who laugh at you cuz you’ve got the balls to sack up and pursue your dreams! Amateur wrestling, bodybuilding, pro wrestling, mma, movies, all started out for me as a daydream. And I wasn’t always successful but I never let haters or fear get in the way. I’d rather be a failure than a coward who didn’t have the heart to to pursue his dreams. Which seems to be the common factor amongst haters. So listen up people cuz I’m not preachin for my own good! You’ve only got #onelife and we’ve only got #oneworld so be a #dreamchaser and don’t take either for granted cuz tomorrow we may not have them anymore. Class dismissed. Gnite twitches!!!!!”

So every show, as it gets closer and closer, something insane happens.
At these live events, it’s such a cool experience for us and for the fans because it’s not a TV thing. You never really know what’s going to happen.”
