A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 35. Batista has been given what he wanted which was a match against Triple H at this show.

WWE shot an angle that had them do a face-to-face confrontation where Batista demanded the match. This led to Triple H saying that he’ll fight him at the show but it had to be in a No Holds Barred Match.

Batista viciously attacked WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair just as he was getting ready to head to the ring for his 70th birthday celebration in late February that kicked off the feud.

Batista Clarifies His Statement Regarding The Rock

Dave Batista made an immediate impact upon his surprise return this past Monday on RAW. That wasn’t the only thing that has garnered “The Animal” media attention, however.

A recent interview with TampaBay.com saw Batista discussing his “hate” of being compared to John Cena and The Rock for moving from pro wrestling into acting.

Regarding The Rock, in particular, he would admit that “Rock was, in a way, a movie star before he was even a movie star. There is something about him that’s really special. I’d never take that away from him. Would I consider him a great actor? F*** no.”

Batista has since tweeted out a statement in order to clarify his sentiment. He claims that he was not “bashing anyone” and that he speaks from the heart, which occasionally “comes across harsh.” He ended with a definitive point regarding the interview, saying, “I stand by the interview w/@TB_Times.”

“The Animal” made his return to WWE this week after months of speculation. He would assault Ric Flair in Flair’s locker room, taunting Triple H once the attack had ended. Batista is scheduled to appear at next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in the build-up to a potential match against “The Game” at WrestleMania 35.

Batista Has His Next WWE RAW Appearance Set (Spoiler)

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista has his next appearance on the flagship show of the company, Monday Night RAW. According to PWinsider, Batista is slated to appear on Raw once again next week.

Batista will continue his feud with Triple H that kicked off earlier this week. Batista viciously attacked WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair just as he was getting ready to head to the ring for his 70th birthday celebration.

The belief is that Batista will wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania 35.

WWE is in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center for this edition of Monday Night RAW As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce any matches or segments for this show, which is set to be an important one. This is the final Raw before WWE Fastlane, which takes place Sunday, March 10th at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Batista Responds To Ric Flair’s Warning

Batista has responded to the warning that was sent out earlier today by WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion took to his official Twitter account where he wrote his response, which was, “Party’s just gettin started my man.”

https://twitter.com/DaveBautista/status/1100518364412370944

Before the legendary pro wrestler was able to walk out to the ring for his birthday celebration on Monday’s episode of RAW in Atlanta, GA at the State Farm Arena, Batista attacked him in his locker room and dragged out to the hallway.

“The Animal” is one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time as he has won six WWE World Titles, a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 and 2014).

Before this return and appearance on SmackDown Live for the 1000 episode in October, he was not seen on WWE television since late 2014. During his time away, he had expressed interest in a potential match with Triple H one more time.

It appears that he’ll get his wish granted at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium and airs on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network.

This angle is likely the start of the program between Batista and Triple H that will ultimately lead to a match at the biggest event of the year for the WWE.

Ric Flair Reacts To Batista’s Attack on RAW

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has broken his silence on the storyline attack by former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista during Monday’s episode of RAW in Atlanta, GA at the State Farm Arena.

It was hyped to be a night where the company was celebrating his life and career but before he was able to walk out to the ring, Batista attacked him in his locker room and dragged out to the hallway.

Flair took to social media to thank everyone for throwing him a ‘wonderful birthday celebration.’ He also addressed Batista directly.

“I Want To Thank WWE For Throwing Such A Wonderful Birthday Celebration With Some Of My Closest Friends. As For Batista … Be Careful Whose Party You Crash, Big Man! #WOOOOO.”

This appears to be the start of the program between Batista and Triple H that will ultimately lead to a match at WrestleMania 35, which is the biggest event of the year for the WWE. This show goes down on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium and airs on WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network.

Triple H’s reaction to this attack is expected to be aired on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Batista On The Rock: “Would I Consider Him A Great Actor? F— No”

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista recently did an interview with TampaBay.com where he spoke about a wide range of topics.

During this interview, he discussed how he “hates” being compared the likes of former WWE Champions John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as they are an elite group of WWE stars who have made the successful transition from being a pro wrestler to an actor in Hollywood.

“Do not compare me to The Rock or John Cena. Everyone does it. Those guys are wrestlers who became movie stars. I’m … something else. I was a wrestler. Now, I’m an actor.”

Batista also made some interesting comments about Johnson, who is a future WWE Hall of Famer and will go down as one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot inside of the squared circle. He wants to be his own person and not seen in the same light as The Rock.

“Rock was, in a way, a movie star before he was even a movie star. There is something about him that’s really special. I’d never take that away from him,” Bautista says. “Would I consider him a great actor? F— no.”

Batista would continue by bringing up how he wants good roles that don’t have to be movies such as Fast and Furious or Bumblebee. Instead, he wants to work with Academy Award winners and be a character actor that is well respected.

“I want good roles. I don’t care about Fast and Furious or Bumblebee. … That’s not the kind of stardom I want. … I want to be in Dune. I want to work with Denis Villeneuve. I want to work with Sam Mendes and Jodie Foster. I want to work with Academy Award winners. I’m proud to be a character actor. I want that respect and credibility and education.”

Other topics discussed include his troubled upbringing, how he broke into wrestling his tattoos, politics and much more. Visit TampaBay.com to read the full interview.

Batista Returns On WWE RAW, Attacks Ric Flair (Video)

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista has made his return to the flagship show of the WWE, Monday Night RAW. During Monday’s episode of the red branded show, the pro wrestling veteran made an appearance for the birthday celebration of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

This is where Flair was about to walk out to the ring for his celebration but we see Batista dragging a cameraman to the locker room of Flair and he pulled out the pro wrestling legendary who had been attacked. He asked Triple H if he got his attention and then left. This closed the show.

For months, there’s been rumors about Batista taking on Triple H at WrestleMania 35, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 7th in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium.

Evolution, which is a group that consists of Triple H, Batista, Randy Orton, and Flair, reunited on WWE SmackDown 1000 back in October. This marked the latest appearance by the former WWE Champion on WWE television. Batista would later praise Orton and Flair but stated that when it comes to Triple H, he might run the business and has done it all but has never beaten him. Batista and Triple H had a stare down then hugged to close the segment.

This has led to a lot of speculation that this segment was done in order to set up a match between the two future WWE Hall of Famers at Mania. It appears that this is indeed the direction that WWE is going.

Batista Meets With WWE, Jericho Posts Photo With Batista Amid AEW Rumor

Earlier this week, there was a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet stating that Batista is in ‘deep talks’ with WWE about returning in time for WrestleMania. That same report noted that All Elite Wrestling is also in touch with The Animal in hopes of signing him.

According to PWInsider, Batista met with WWE officials in Connecticut last Thursday to discuss his future with the company. Batista last appeared on WWE television back in October for SmackDown 1,000. During a segment reuniting the Evolution faction, Batista had a confrontation with Triple H and set the stage for a WrestleMania showdown.

With WWE and AEW vying for Batista’s services, Chris Jericho is playing into the speculation. Jericho posted a photo on Tuesday alongside Batista, which you can view below. Jericho said he and Batista had a great discussion “earlier today” while dining at the 4 Rivers Smokehouse BBQ chain.

Knowing Jericho’s penchant for trolling fans online, the photo could very well be 6 months old. However, if Batista is in fact considering working for All Elite Wrestling, his longtime friend Chris Jericho would likely be involved brokering that deal.

Batista In ‘Deep Talks’ For WWE Return, But AEW Also Interested

WWE legend Batista has a big choice in front of him. Does he return to WWE for a headline match at WrestleMania, or roll the dice and and join All Elite Wrestling?

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Batista is “deep in talks” with WWE about a featured role at WrestleMania. However, WWE is no longer the only game in town with deep pockets. Executives from AEW have also been courting the Guardians of the Galaxy star and he’s said to be on the fence about which way to go.

Batista’s most recent WWE television appearance was back in October. He appeared alongside his former Evolution teammates at SmackDown 1000. The Evolution reunion ended with a tense stare-down between Batista and Triple H, leading fans to believe WWE was planting the seed for a WrestleMania showdown.

Triple H was injured at Crown Jewel the following month and underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle. He recently revealed that his recovery is going well and he’s been cleared to train again. Triple H would presumably be healthy in time for April 7th, but it’s not a sure thing that WWE can get Batista on board.

Batista’s Choice: WWE or AEW?

Should Batista return home to WWE or lend his star power to the upstart competition?

In WWE, he’d most likely work against Triple H. This is a ‘farewell’ feud he has talked about for years. One final run with the company ensures he will be portrayed favorably in the future. On the flip side, Batista has been outspoken about WWE in recent years. He still loves professional wrestling, but can’t stand WWE writers. He’s gone so far as to say he would like to return to WWE, but only work non-televised shows, so he doesn’t have to deal with writers.

All Elite Wrestling offers Batista the same thing they can offer Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho and other big names: Big money, more creative freedom and a lighter schedule. With AEW looking to secure a television deal, Batista is another household name that could put their TV negotiations over the top.

Batista & Titus O’Neil Reunite, Strowman Shares Roman Reigns Photo

Batista & Titus O’Neil Reunite

Titus O’Neil recently noted that he was heading to Hollywood to possibly get some film work alongside his good friend and former WWE Superstar Batista. The pair recently reunited, and O’Neil shared the following photo on Twitter:

“No matter if we’re home in or Out in Hollywood me and My brother make time for each other, Uplift,Encourage,Support and Motivate one another and LOVE EACH OTHER!! Thanks for being a Friend and A Brother for Years!! Love ya.

“Always my brother!

Batista has seen a tremendous amount of success in his acting career. He has picked up several high-profile roles, but none bigger than his role as Drax The Destroyer in Marvel’s cinematic universe. He even scored another big role recently, but it could affect his ability to participate in a match at WrestleMania 35.

Strowman Shares Roman Reigns Photo

As many of you know, Roman Reigns has been out-of-action for the past several months as he battles leukemia. Reigns was forced to relinquish the Universal Championship before taking his hiatus. One of his biggest on-screen rivals, Braun Strowman, shared a photo of himself with Reigns inside the ring.

In the photo, Reigns looks to be gearing up for a Superman Punch. However, Strowman’s arms are extended upwards, making it look like the iconic scene from ‘Dirty Dancing.’ Strowman captioned the photo with the film’s name. Check it out here:

Big Wrestlemania 35 Match May Not Happen

Triple H suffered an unfortunate injury during his tag team match up against The Undertaker and Kane at WWE’s Crown Jewel event, this past Friday.

The injury, believed to be related to his pec, is thought to have occurred as Hunter took a Harley Race-esque bump to the outside.

Because of this, it appears that Triple H will require surgery. News broke shortly after Crown Jewel had finished that he flew straight to Birmingham, Alabama.

A torn pectoral muscle usually requires six months to heal and rehab, if all things go smoothly. If not, then rehabilitation and healing could take as long as a year for full recovery.

With Wrestlemania 35 just five months away, there is a very real chance that Triple H simply won’t be fit to compete against Batista.

SmackDown 1000

WWE planted seeds for what they hoped would become a major feud at SmackDown’s recent 1000th episode celebration.

Batista’s flippant comments towards Triple H during the Evolution section of the show teased the start of their storyline.

Because of the injury, there is concern within the WWE that the match will no longer happen. Batista, to his credit, is thought to be determined with competing at Wrestlemania 35.

This decision would force the WWE into finding a suitable replacement for The Animal sooner rather than later.

Batista Reveals the Advice Vince McMahon Gave Him Before Smackdown 1000

This past week saw the 1000th episode of WWE Smackdown air with a litany of stars from the show’s past. One of the biggest talking points came when Evolution reunited and Batista seemingly goaded Triple H into a match at some point down the line.

Cameras caught up with ‘The Animal’ following the segment and he made some comments on his WWE return. “It was alright, it probably could have gone a little better, but I think considering how nervous I was.” Batista then revealed what he said to WWE owner Vince McMahon before getting in front of the camera; “I told Vince how nervous I was, he said, ‘When you go out there, just tell them, be honest and speak from the heart.’ First thing I said, ‘I’m nervous’ because I was. I didn’t want to pull any punches, I was nervous, man.

Batista also commented on making his return with the Evolution stable, stating that “It’s a special thing with Evolution, it’s just a special group,” Batista elaborated on this saying that “I know it’s a newer audience, but they can feel it. There’s a special vibe between all of us, there always has been, there always will be. So, it’s a timeless energy.

The Animal finished by stating that “I miss it here, I miss the energy, the immediate feedback,” Batista continued. “We’ll see where it goes, but it was quite an honor to be a part of this, especially since it was in my hometown.”

Backstage News On Original SmackDown 1000 Opener, Segments Being Cut

While SmackDown 1000 was able to balance between its various nostalgia acts and current storylines for the most part, a lot of people noted that the show felt rushed. According to a report at PWinsider, original plans were a lot different and the company made a number of late changes to the show’s.

Original plans called for the World Cup Qualifying match between Rey Mysterio and Shinsuke Nakamura to open the special episode. However, WWE changed this order and went on with the Truth TV segment involving Vince McMahon as the opener, which was originally expected to take place later on.

The Undertaker’s segment was always going to end the show, but it was cut short when the show ran longer than expected. Both Mysterio’s ring entrance and his match with Nakamura were cut short as well.

Though the match between Rusev and The Miz was always scheduled to last a few seconds. Unlike the speculations, no changes were made to the original plan of this bout.

Several segments were removed from the SmackDown 1000 as well due to the shortage of time. As noted before, one of these segments involving James Ellsworth ended up on YouTube later on.

Regarding the Evolution Reunion, it was noted that Batista had not arrived in the Capital One Arena in his hometown of Washington, DC until around 7:40 pm ET for the show that was scheduled to start at 8pm ET.

Although the site did not confirm the previous reports that claimed that Batista’s late arrival caused the mentioned changes in the script.

Batista On What It’s Like Working With The Undertaker

Former WWE Champion Batista has worked with many legends of the professional wrestling industry during his time. However, nobody has ever seemed to captivate “The Animal” the way he was when he shared the ring with The Undertaker. Batista and “The Deadman” have shared the WWE ring several times before.

In fact, the pair worked together at WrestleMania 23 where Taker defeated Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. To share the ring with The Undertaker is becoming more of a rarity as the years roll on. The 53-year-old is still competing semi-regularly for WWE, however, it’s clear his in-ring career is in its final stages.

Recently, on the heels of SmackDown 1000, WWE released a never before seen interview with Batista. He discussed some of his favorite moments in SmackDown history. During the interview, Batista talked about what it was like working with The Undertaker. Here’s what he had to say:

“When Undertaker decided he wanted to go, there was nobody who could do it better. He would always say for 15 minutes out of the day he was the baddest son of b—- on the planet, and I would back that up 100 percent. I mean, that dude can go.

“He’s very intimidating, you know he’s in charge, but it’s also very comforting because this dude has just seen and done it all. It’s almost like one of those things when you get in [the ring] with him you know you’re going to have a good match.”

What do you make of Batista’s comments about The Undertaker?

Batista Details Insane Restaurant Brawl From His Youth

Former WWE Champion Batista has enjoyed a nice career since departing WWE. “The Animal” began his professional wrestling career back in 2000 with WWE. After a few years in developmental, Batista was called up to the main roster. He started off as a henchman to WWE Hall Of Famer D-Von Dudley.

Batista would later break off into becoming one of WWE’s biggest stars. He was a member of the famed Evolution faction alongside Ric Flair, Triple H, and Randy Orton. Batista went on to win four World Heavyweight Championships and two WWE Titles. He’s also a three-time Tag Team Champion and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.

Following a successful career, Batista left WWE on a full-time basis in 2010. He began focusing on an acting career and returned in 2013 for a run that lasted several months. Batista has seen a lot of success on the big screen. He has landed roles in films such as “Riddick,” “Hotel Artemis,” and “Blade Runner.”

Batista has also become a staple in the Marvel film franchise “The Avengers.” This is due to his key role in the “Guardians Of The Galaxy” franchise. Before Batista saw immense success in the entertainment industry, he had a bit of a rough childhood.

He detailed his youth during an interview on the “Inside Of You” podcast. In fact, Batista shared a story about a crazy fight he got himself into in the late ’90s. Here’s how he described it:

“No, but I’ve had a few rough ones. I got into a fight with this kid, I didn’t want to—it happened so fast—it escalated so fast that I didn’t even know I was going to be in a fight. He hit me with this wet floor sign [laughs] that knocked me so silly. We got into this fight in a Fuddrucker’s [fast food restaurant].

“This guy was looking at my girlfriend, and I looked over at him. This was 199…5-6ish? Around there, but this kid’s looking at my girlfriend and I look over at him, and like ‘why is he being so disrespectful?’ and his friend says something to him [about how] I’m looking at him.

“And he goes ‘I don’t give a shit. I’ll punch him in his face three times before he hits me once.’ He was much smaller than me. And I was like, ‘what’d you say?’ and he walks up to me all aggressive and he said ‘you heard what the fuck I said’ so I just pushed him. He flies back and he goes ‘oh hell no! hell no!’ and he goes and picks up this wet floor sign, and I didn’t think he was going to do it, he whacks me on the head with it.

“Not only did I stumble, but he tackles me and we go flying back into the salad bar—I swear to God—we break the salad bar. We start fighting and I beat this kid’s ass, we end up outside and I’m choking him, and he finally goes ‘alright, alright, alright!’ So I let him go, and I’m just a disaster, my girlfriend’s crying, I’m going ‘what the hell’s going on?’ The restaurant is a disaster and I’m like ‘let’s just go.’

“Later the police came and arrested me. Apparently because I pushed him, I started it. They ended up dropping all of the charges, but they did arrest me for it, also because we left, we left the scene of a crime.”

What do you think of Batista’s crazy fight story?

Batista Discusses Family Sacrifices From WWE Career

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Batista was recently interviewed by SPORTbible. “The Animal” talked about several professional wrestling topics, including the grind of being on the road with WWE. Batista said he has always had a great work ethic, but it skyrocketed after working with WWE:

“I also think that being on the road with WWE is such a grind,” Batista said. “It really just developed my work ethic, I always had a strong work ethic but nothing like after I came out of the WWE.

“It really prepared me to just tolerate anything. You have to have a really thick skin there to begin with, but you also have to just pull your weight and be willing to sacrifice.”

While the travel schedule may improve one’s work ethic, it may strain the relationships of talents with their loved ones. Batista said that he had to make a lot of family sacrifices, including one of his marriages:

“I have sacrificed a lot,” Batista said. “I have been through a lot of injuries, a lot of lost time with family. Throughout my wrestling career I just… I was never home. I lost a marriage with someone who was a very, very close friend of mine. We still remain friends, but just never being home just tore our marriage apart.”

Batista Provides WWE Update

It looks like Dave Batista won’t be at the historic 1000th episode of SmackDown Live. “The Animal” responded to a fan’s question on Twitter over whether he would be involved with the event or not, replying, “Surprise, surprise, I wasn’t invited!”

As if to add further insult, the 1000th episode of SmackDown takes place in his hometown of Washington, DC – something Batista highlighted in his Tweet.

https://twitter.com/DaveBautista/status/1040067940433973248

Batista has been incredibly vocal in recent weeks over his longing for the squared circle, admitting that he “thinks about it [wrestling] daily. I miss it daily. I love it, I have a passion for wrestling. I feel that at the core of me that’s just who I am. I’m a physical performer, and I miss it every day.”

SmackDown 1000

SmackDown Live 1000 takes place on October 16th from the Capital One Arena in DC. The projected card (as advertised by the area itself) for the night looks stacked so far, though WWE have not yet officially confirmed them:

  • Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton
  • The Miz vs Daniel Bryan
  • WWE Champion AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe

With it being a milestone episode of the show, WWE will probably attempt to bring in a lot of former superstars that became synonymous with SmackDown and it’s success, including WWE Hall Of Famer, Edge, and The Undertaker, to name just a few.

With Jericho offering Batista an “open invitation” into the Alpha Club in NJPW, and Batista’s name still a recognisable commodity within the industry, Batista probably has some very real alternative options if he ever chose to wrestle for another company. As it stands, “The Animal” appears to have unfortunately been left outside in the cold by the WWE once again.

Matt Jackson On If Batista Was Considered For All In

Last week’s All In pay-per-view (PPV) was a big success. The Sears Centre in Chicago, Illinois played host to the self-funded event by Cody and The Young Bucks.

Several big names in the indy professional wrestling scene were on the card. Kenny Omega, Cody, The Young Bucks, Rey Mysterio, Pentagon Jr., Okada, and so many more competed at the show.

Also, big names like Jeff Jarrett, Diamond Dallas Page, Tommy Dreamer, and Road Warrior Animal made special appearances as well. When it was all said and done, Cody and The Young Bucks did what they set out to do – put on one of the biggest professional wrestling shows of the year.

Recently, a fan on Twitter asked Matt Jackson if there were any plans to bring in Batista for the show. The former WWE Champion is currently a free agent in the professional wrestling world but is focusing more on his acting career.

Jackson joked that they considered “The Animal” to be put in the Burnard the Business Bear suit:

Batista Explains What Could Lead To Him Making WWE Return

Although he hasn’t worked a match in a few years, pro wrestling is still near and dear to the heart of former WWE Champion Batista.

While doing an interview with WhatCulture Wrestling to promote his upcoming film, Final Score, he gave some insight into what could lead him to him making a WWE return after being a few years removed from his latest run that came back in 2014 where he headlined WrestleMania 30 alongside Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

He stated that he thinks and misses pro wrestling on a daily basis because he has a passion for it as he feels at his core, that’s who he is [pro wrestler]. In order for him to make a WWE return, it comes down to two things that need to happen.

Those things are the right time and the right opponent. It needs to make sense for him to return and that’s it.

When reflecting on his latest run, he noted that he went back with the right intentions and felt like he didn’t deliver on what he’d promised and that was just creatively.

“Not only do I have to be free, but I also have to factor in there is a risk that I would be injured,” Batista stated as he pointed out that if he got hurt then he would need time off and that could impact his acting career.

Batista Addresses His Decision To Transition From WWE To Acting In 2010

Although Batista is no longer a member of the WWE’s roster, he will always be part of the WWE family. In a recent interview with talkSport, Batista discussed what led to him making the decision to transition from the land of WWE to the world of acting and how his movie career would not have happened if he didn’t make the decision to depart from WWE in 2010 to pursue his dream.

Batista noted that his transition “came about out of spite” as it first came from when he learned that he was a horrible actor but it made him want to be a better actor and do it all when he was under contract with the WWE.

However, they would not give him the opportunity within the company. He disagreed with their position but WWE stood their ground on the situation.

Thus, he came to the decision of ‘Well, I’m going to let my contract run out and I’m gonna leave.’ He continued by stating that’s “exactly what I did and I set out to be an actor.”

Batista admitted that changing careers was a brave move as he took him three years of barely working in acting and knew that he had a nice thing going in WWE in terms of money. He added that he could have stayed in WWE but wanted to do something else.

“The Animal” is one of the most successful WWE Superstars of all time as he has won six WWE World Titles, a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner (2005 and 2014).

Batista: I Don’t Know If I Want To Work For Disney

Dave Bautista is one person who is very vocal about his feelings and recently on the Johnathan Ross Show, the Animal didn’t hold back when the question arose about his current situation with Marvel/Disney.

“It’s a bitter-sweet conversation — um, no it’s a bitter-bitter conversation because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn.”

“They’re putting the movie off,” he added. “It’s on hold indefinitely. To be honest with you I don’t know if I want to work for Disney.”

You can watch the entire segment below:

The Animal Doesn’t Fear Poverty

In a recent interview for promoting his recent film, Final Score, Bautista was once again on the hot seat when asked about Guardians and his feelings towards Gunn’s firing. To put it simply, Bautista answered with full conviction as he has great loyalty for Gunn and is not one to hold his tongue when expressing his feelings. While he has not received any backlash for expressing his opinion, he does know that his job may be on the line.

“It is what it is and if it cost me my job then— you know— you can’t threaten a poor man with poverty and I grew up poor and know what its like to be poor and losing money and it means nothing to me. I will wrestle in backyards in front of ten people to make a living if I have to.”

That interview can be viewed below:

GOTG V3 On Hold

Currently, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is on hold due to there not being a director and Gunn’s replacement has not been chosen yet. Many reports have stated that Gunn’s script for the film will be used for shooting but Gunn himself will have no involvement with the third film. With GOTG V3 on hold indefinitely the actors on the film were told to pursue other projects as there is no telling when production will pick up again.

Batista Opens Up On Possible WWE Return

Former WWE star Dave Bautista recently made an appearance on Good Morning Britain to promote his new film, “Final Score”.

“The Animal” touched on his professional wrestling career during their conversation. Batista divulged that starting in the business was difficult, and he shocked his family with the career switch.

In regards to a possible WWE return, Batista admitted that it’s always an ongoing conversation with him and WWE. He never burnt that bridge intentionally because he never had a reason to. Batista declared that he loves professional wrestling and he loves WWE.

He then revealed that WWE actually contacted him about possibly being Ronda Rousey’s partner for WrestleMania 34. That never worked out, however, as the role was given to Kurt Angle instead.

As for what he’d like to do in a potential WWE return, Batista wants a year-long feud with Triple H. The rivalry would conclude with a match at WrestleMania. WWE has yet to take the former World Champion up on the offer.

In fact, he said they’re making it difficult to work something out as they ignored his follow ups.

Batista Was Turned Down Several Times For Star Wars Films

Former WWE Champion Dave Bautista recently did an interview with Flickering Myth to talk about his career in film.

Batista is a major star in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise. The franchise has seem a tremendous amount of success and he has been praised for his portrayal of “Drax The Destroyer.”

While Batista is highly successful from his work on Guardians Of The Galaxy, it turns out he had aspirations to be a part of another major movie franchise. Batista revealed that he tried out for a role in the Star Wars franchise several times but was repeatedly rejected:

“I’ve actually auditioned for a couple of Star Wars [movies] and they’ve turned me down. It was always a dream of mine to be in a Star Wars film.”

In hindsight, Batista might be happy he wasn’t involved in the new installments of Star Wars. They haven’t been received that well by hardcore fans, and “The Animal” hasn’t been a huge fan either:

“I can’t say I’m the biggest fan of the latest installments,” said the actor. “But I particularly loved Rogue One.

“I thought it was a really great film and I love that they went a little bit dark with it. I thought it was really interesting.”
