Original Winner For Women’s Money In The Bank, Plans For Becky Lynch Revealed

Becky Lynch made the surprising announcement of her pregnancy on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw and it appears that WWE had to make significant changes to their plans due to this revelation.

According to reports from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the former Raw Women’s Champion was originally expected to compete at the Money In The Bank PPV and defend her title against Nia Jax.

This match was obviously nixed after the company learned about Becky’s pregnancy though this is not the only major change they had to make to the PPV.

According to reports, the original plans for the women’s Money In The Bank match were different as well and it was the former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler who was initially planned to win the ladder match.

Since the Money In The Bank matches were taped in mid-April, it means that the company was aware of the situation by then and they adjusted the plans accordingly.

The changed plans saw Asuka winning the Money In The Bank match and the Japenese star was then awarded the Raw Women’s Championship after Becky Lynch relinquished the title.

There are no words yet on what the company is planning for Shayna Baszler now but it wouldn’t be a surprise if she goes after Asuka for the title in the future.

Asuka On Winning MITB, Becky Lynch’s Pregnancy Announcement

Women’s Money In The Bank winner and current WWE RAW Women’s Champion Asuka recently joined WWE show The Bump. During her time on the show, Asuka shared how she felt after winning the Money In The Bank briefcase and her reaction to Becky Lynch’s pregnancy announcement.

Asuka recalled climbing up the ladder only to have King Corbin scale the other side, “so I gave him a nice kick.” She shared how the briefcase was heavier than she expected, so she had a hard time even holding it. Regardless, she stressed her happiness at having claimed the prize. “The view that I saw from the top of the ladder was fantastic. I am going to remember that view.”

What she thought was a year-long championship opportunity turned out to be the RAW Women’s Championship itself. Lynch revealed the news to her during this week’s Monday Night RAW, sharing with the world that she is pregnant. Asuka was reportedly not told this before their segment, which led to a heartfelt, sincere reaction.

When asked about the announcement, Asuka shared her happiness for Lynch and her new adventure. “I had so many matches with her and I have a strong connection with her.  I think we both felt the same way. I think she likes to have matches with me. I think she was relieved that I got the Money in the Bank because she knew I could take good care of it.”

She added how she wants to become the reason people don’t want to miss the action in WWE’s women’s division. Asuka noted how she has been that in the past, but now as champion wants to work even harder to ensure people tune in.

Details On Asuka’s Reaction To Becky Lynch’s Pregnancy Announcement

This past Monday night on RAW, Becky Lynch relinquished the WWE RAW Women’s Championship to Asuka. She revealed that Asuka hadn’t won a championship opportunity at Money In The Bank. Instead, she had won the gold itself. This decision was made as Becky Lynch is pregnant and expecting her first child with her partner, Seth Rollins.

Asuka’s sincere reaction to the news was genuine as she did not know Lynch was pregnant, according to PWinsider. She was also unaware that she was winning the title during the filming process of the Money In The Bank ladder match. The match was pre-recorded at WWE Headquarters.

WWE officials reportedly kept the news secret until Lynch revealed it herself to the WWE Universe, hence Asuka’s genuine response.

It was also noted that several people who were in attendance for the show on Monday had no clue Lynch was pregnant until after her announcement. Lynch recently revealed she found out she was pregnant in April after taking multiple tests. She is due to give birth in December.

Asuka’s recent accomplishments have seen her achieve a major milestone in WWE. She is now the the only woman in WWE history to have won a Money in the Bank briefcase, a Royal Rumble, the NXT Women’s Title, the SmackDown Women’s Title, the tag titles, and now the RAW Women’s title.

Becky Lynch Reveals When Her Baby Is Due, In-Ring Future Uncertain

Former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch spoke with People.com following the big news she shared on Monday’s episode of RAW.

Lynch had to vacate the championship because she is pregnant with her first child. She’s been engaged to Seth Rollins since August.

In this interview, Lynch said she learned she was pregnant in April and that the baby is due in December.

Lynch also stated that she won’t be making a decision regarding her in-ring future yet

“It’s just such a joyous time and then such a sad time too. I loved this and I’ve given my life to this. I’ve achieved everything that I want to achieve in this business,” she explained.

“I don’t know what the next chapter is because I only know what it’s like to think for myself when I’m by myself,” the WWE star continued. “So I don’t know what it’ll look like and how my priorities shift and what I’m going to want in the future. So, everything’s open.”

Lynch also talked about how she went through a number of pregnancy tests in April because the first test came out negative. However, she had believed that she might be pregnant and bought more until a digital test that confirmed what she suspected.

Lynch recalled being with Rollins when she took the test and he just threw his hands up in the air as he was excited.

Becky Lynch Announces She’s Pregnant, Asuka Awarded RAW Women’s Title

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had a major announcement to make and she did just that.

During Monday’s episode of RAW in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the USA Network, Lynch walked out to the ring for a promo while carrying the Money in the Bank briefcase.

This is where she announced that she has to go away for a while. Asuka walked out to the ring and yelled at her for having the MITB briefcase, which had the RAW Women’s Title inside.

Lynch said that the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match was actually for the RAW Women’s Title. She gave her the title before telling Asuka to go be a champion because she is going to be a mother. Thus, Lynch announced her pregnancy, and Asuka was awarded the title.

Lynch is engaged to former WWE Champion Seth Rollins. Congratulations to the expecting parents.

Originally, WWE promoted that Lynch would confront Asuka on the show after Asuka won the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Sunday at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event

Becky’s last match took place at WrestleMania 36 in April against Shayna Baszler that saw Lynch successfully retain the title.

Nia Jax On If Punching Becky Lynch Helped Her Become “The Man” (Video)

WWE Superstar Nia Jax recently joined Kayla Braxton on her show Braxton Beat on WWE’s official Instagram account. During their conversation, Jax addressed the now infamous punch she delivered to RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch back in November 2018.

When Braxton asked Nia Jax if she feels somewhat responsible for helping turn Lynch into “The Man,” Jax deferred, instead praising Lynch and her accomplishments. She stressed that she wouldn’t “take anything away” from Lynch, joking how she’s so boastful of herself anyway.

“She worked hard and granted, that night, however it happened, will go down in infamy, and I’m not gonna say I helped create her,” Nia Jax said. “I think that it was an opportunity that happened that night and she became an icon.”

Nia Jax will compete in this Sunday’s Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match. She will face off against Shayna Baszler, Asuka, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans and Carmella for the briefcase that contains a championship opportunity.

The matchup will take place concurrently with the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match and has been pre-recorded in a cinematic style, much like WrestleMania’s Boneyard and Firefly Fun House matchups.

Money In The Bank takes place this Sunday from WWE Global Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

Becky Lynch Reveals The Rock & John Cena Are Guiding Her Acting Career

Becky Lynch is said to be drawing interest in the entertainment world for her ability to connect with fans.

During a recent chat with TMZ, the WWE RAW Women’s Champion revealed The Rock and John Cena are mentoring her for a potential career in Hollywood.

Lynch appeared in the season 5 premiere of the hit show Billions on Sunday night. Series co-creator Brian Koppelman said last year that Lynch had a standing offer to appear on the show.

“You never know if people are gonna come through with these things, but he did and they did. I’m on the season premiere,” Lynch told TMZ Sports about Koppelman’s offer.

Becky Lynch Mentored by The Rock & John Cena

Lynch continued to talk about how both the Rock and John Cena have been offering her advice.

“[The Rock has] actually he’s been very helpful in guiding me,” Lynch said. “He’s just being very giving and I think they all are because they’ve all been there and they’re all ready to look after the next generation.”

“Cena’s also been so great to me and so generous with his time and his advice, checks up on me on what I’m doing now. I think everybody wants to see the next generation move to where they’ve been, ya know?!”

Lynch would later confirm during the interview that she has no plans to leave WWE for Hollywood, however.

“Look, I just love performing. I love being able to get it out there, but I also love a crowd. So, as long as I can wrestle, then I’m going to be doing that.”

Lynch has a degree in acting from the Dublin Institute of Technology.

Becky Lynch On WWE Incorporating More Cinematic Matches Into Their Programming

The cinematic matches at WrestleMania this year received high praise and fans are open to seeing more such content. Now it appears that Becky Lynch is open to the concept as well, including the possibility of creating her own version of the boneyard match.

The Raw Women’s Champion recently had an interview with TVInsider to promote her cameo in Billions where she talked about things like the upcoming Money In The Bank PPV, how she landed the role and more.

Talking about the cinematic matches and the possibility of WWE producing more such content in future, Lynch said that they can keep going along the lines:

“The thing is, it’s a crazy time. You have to see what works and what doesn’t. The fact that we have the ability to make more cinematic matches, I think it’s a testament to how we can adjust and move forward.

I think we have to keep going along those lines.” said Becky Lynch. “Not necessarily every match has to be a cinematic match, but just [exploring] different ways of dialogue and how we adjust our storytelling to this new reality we’re in now.”

When asked if she can picture herself outside of a traditional match Lynch revealed that she has pitched some ideas for it “I’ve pitched plenty of things. We’ll see what happens. Sometimes your pitches go through, sometimes they don’t. We’ll see what happens. “

Apart from this, Becky Lynch talked about things like adjusting to the quarantine lifestyle, new faces getting a chance in WWE and more. You can check out her interview at this link.

Becky Lynch Gaining Interest From Entertainment Industry

Becky Lynch could be the next WWE star to branch out of the pro wrestling business and into the entertainment industry.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the RAW Women’s Champion is slated to be featured in a major national women’s magazine soon. The feature is being prepared now. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on the full details of the profile.

It was added that there are other people in the entertainment world who are interested in Lynch. The reason for that is due to her ability to connect with crowds.

This comes days after it was revealed that Lynch is slated to be featured on the season 5 premiere of Showtime’s “Billions” series. that airs at 9pm ET this Sunday on Showtime.

Regarding her WWE status, she hasn’t been seen in the ring wrestling since successfully retaining the title over Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36 – Night 1 in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center last month.

Lynch did appear on Monday Night RAW a few weeks back where she sent a warning to potentially her next opponent. She did so during a promo talking about the WWE Money In the Bank pay-per-view that will feature the six-woman MITB Ladder Match.

Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans, Asuka, Nia Jax, Baszler, and one more competitor are slated to wrestle in the contest. The winner will earn a future title shot from either Lynch or WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on if she will appear on next Monday’s episode of RAW or the Money in the Bank PPV event.

Becky Lynch To Appear On Showtime’s “Billions”

Becky Lynch will appear on the season premiere of the Showtime series “Billions.” Season 5 of the hit show will debut at 9 PM est on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020. The news was announced today on the latest episode of WWE’s the Bump.

Lynch and series co-creator Brian Koppelman were interviewed on the Bump today. While Lynch’s appearance on the show was praised by Koppelman, there is still no word on what type of role she will be in on the show.

Last year, Koppelman was spotted wearing a Becky Lynch shirt at a watch party. He went on to say that “the Man” had a standing invitation to appear on an episode of the show.

This took place just 2 days before Lynch would headline and win the main event of WrestleMania 35.

Showtime sent out the following Tweet to advertise Lynch’s inclusion in the season premiere episode:

In addition to Koppelman, Billions was created by David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin. It stars Paul Giamatti, Damian Lewis, Maggie Siff, and more. The show is loosely based on the former US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara. The character of Charles “Chuck” Rhoades Jr. is said to be inspired by Bharara.

Becky Lynch Recalls Lying To Her Mother About Wrestling

Becky Lynch made the brave decision to opt for a career in pro wrestling and this gamble has paid off pretty well for the current Raw Women’s Champion as she is currently one of the top wrestlers in the world.

However, this wasn’t always the case. There was a time when her path to success was not this clear and the former NXT star had to lie to the people closest to her about her chosen career, including her mother.

Lynch recently had an interview with Extra.io where she talked about her start in pro wrestling. During the talk, she admitted that she had initially lied to her mother about wrestling and revealed her reaction when she found out the truth:

“My ma, yes! The freakin’ killings that were in my house when I told her I was wrestling, because I lied to her and told her that it was Brazillian Jiu Jitsu that I was doing. Then when she found out it was wrestling, she freakin’ nearly ripped my head off.”

Becky Lynch On Her Wedding With Seth Rollins Being Pushed Back

Becky Lynch also talked about her relationship with Seth Rollins and revealed that the couple will have to push back their planned wedding because of the coronavirus pandemic:

“Yeah it has, that’s going to get pushed back, obviously. Look, at the end of the day, I’m going to be with him forever. So it doesn’t matter if we get married next month or next year or two days from now, it’s all the same.”

While Lynch did not reveal much detail about her wedding, she did confirm that it won’t be taking place in Ireland. You can check out her full interview at this link.

Becky Lynch Wants To See Cesaro Hold Gold In WWE: “We Need Cesaro Up There”

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch would love to see SmackDown Superstar Cesaro hold some gold. During an interview with The Bump’s Kayla Braxton, Lynch would share her feelings on the subject. She noted how people should start hashtagging “Cesaro for champ” to try and bring it to WWE’s attention.

The comment came after Braxton began listing the amount of talented European Superstars who are currently a part of WWE’s roster. She noted how they are taking over the championship landscape.

After having pointed out Nikki Cross’ victory at WrestleMania 36, making Cross half of the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Lynch would jump in with her thoughts:

“We need Cesaro up there,” she stated. “Oh yeah, he absolutely is [one of the best]. Cesaro for champ. Hashtag that people.”

Cesaro & Becky Lynch’s WrestleMania Weekend

Cesaro opened up this weekend’s WrestleMania 36 two-day event. He competed against Drew Gulak during Night One’s pre-show, eventually claiming the victory against his game opponent.

Becky Lynch would also have a good weekend, successfully retaining her RAW Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler. Despite her win, WWE is reportedly set to continue having the two Superstars feud. Baszler recently commented on her WrestleMania loss, promising to make Lynch suffer the “agony of my defeat.”

Becky Lynch & Shayna Baszler Rivalry Reportedly Not Over

Becky Lynch successfully defended her WWE RAW Women’s Championship this past Saturday during Night One of WrestleMania 36. “The Man” was able to outwrestle her opponent, Shayna Baszler, securing a pinfall victory.

Their WrestleMania clash was the culmination of an intense rivalry between the two Superstars. Despite Becky Lynch managing to defeat Baszler, it appears as though the feud between the two is far from over. According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE intends to keep their rivalry going.

The manner in which Lynch won was allegedly done in order to keep Baszler protected. Lynch was able to reverse Baszler’s Kirifuda submission hold into a successful pin.

Shayna Baszler Reflects On Her Loss To Becky Lynch

WWE shared a post-WrestleMania interview with Baszler during last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW.

Addressing her loss, a frustrated Baszler indicated that she isn’t finished with Lynch. “The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat,” she said. “The thrill of victory and, for you, Becky, I promise you, the agony of my defeat.”

With Becky Lynch clearly aware of Baszler’s anger over the finish of their matchup, WWE may not delay in having the two Superstars collide in the near future.

Becky Lynch On What’s Next For Her After WrestleMania 36

Becky Lynch managed to retain her Raw Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36, but this victory wasn’t free of controversy.

The Man reversed a Kirifuda Clutch from Baszler and she flipped the hold for a surprise pin, leaving the former NXT Women’s Champion puzzled at the turn of events.

Lynch was interviewed backstage after the match and when asked about her victory over Baszler, the Raw Women’s Champion said that the match was about skill over heart, and she has got the heart:

“She is incredible. I never underestimated her. I think she underestimated me. But the fact of the matter is that she has been a top-ranking cage fighter for ten years straight. She is the longest combined Women’s NXT Champion in history.

Her skill set is maybe unmatched in what we have in WWE today” explained Becky Lynch. “But the fact of the matter is tonight was a test of skill over heart and I have got the heart.”

Becky Lynch On What’s Next For Her

When asked what’s next for her, the current champion said that if Shayna has a problem with the finish of their match, she knows where to find her:

“Well, Shayna has a problem. She thinks she has my number, she certainly doesn’t,” said Becky. “But if she has a problem with that finish tonight just tell her to not go missing. She knows where to find me. I’ll be holding down the fort. Every single week.”

These comments from Lynch suggest that the feud between these two stars is not over just yet and it would be interesting to see how the company moves forward with this storyline.

Becky Lynch Retains WWE RAW Women’s Title At WrestleMania 36

After months of build-up, Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler took place.

Lynch successfully retained the WWE RAW Women’s Championship over the former NXT Women’s Champion at the WWE WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event in Orlando, Florida.

The feud kicked off in February when Baszler attacked Lynch after she defended RAW Women’s Championship against Asuka. The segment ended when Baszler bit the back of the neck of Lynch.

Fans thought that this was a segment to book the match at WrestleMania right away. However, WWE went in a different direction.

WWE booked a Women’s Elimination Chamber Match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Wells Fargo Center last month.

This contest saw WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Ruby Riott vs. Sarah Logan vs. Liv Morgan, vs. Natalya with the winner becoming the new #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Title.

As seen in the contest, Bazler won the match and earned the opportunity to challenge for the strap at WrestleMania 36.

Becky Lynch On Holding Championship From WrestleMania to WrestleMania

What are your thoughts on Becky Lynch retaining the RAW Women’s Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

Becky Lynch On Ronda Rousey: “Leave Her At Home”

It’s been almost a year since Becky Lynch defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event of WrestleMania 35, but the Man is still not missing any chance to take shots at the former UFC star.

The current Raw Women’s Champion recently had an interview with Vicente Betran from ViBe & Wrestling ahead of the historic two night WrestleMania 36 event where she talked about a number of things.

Though when asked about the former Champion, Lynch offered some harsh words and explained that Ronda should be left at home because she doesn’t want to put in the work:

“Leave her at home, I have talked a long time that all these MMA heads that want to come into WWE because they think it’s an easy meal ticket but not put in the work and hours and hours we do when it comes to travel and the grind and obsessing about this and making sure the crowd appreciates everything we do. She doesn’t want to put in that work. Just remember that I’ll be getting better and better every time while she’s at home playing with her Twitch or whatever.”

Becky also talked about the NXT Championship being defended at WrestleMania. She wondered if an NXT person should have gotten the chance to fight for the title but said that it’s awesome to see it being defended at the show.

Becky Lynch will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Elimination Chamber winner Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania 36.

You can check out the updated match card for the event at this link.

Becky Lynch Talks About WrestleMania 36, Staying Positive

Current WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently joined Sporting News for an interview. She is set to defend her title at this weekend’s WrestleMania 36 in front of zero fans. Despite this situation, Lynch doesn’t seem phased by the empty arena atmosphere.

“I remember wrestling in front of seven people, if even. And with Irish people, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but they’re not really shy, right? They’re usually quick-witted with comebacks from things where you can hear all of them when they’re in the crowd.”

She continued, “Sometimes just a few people is worse than nobody. I’ve already been through, to wrestling in front of next to nobody. WrestleMania will be the first time that I wrestle in front of nobody in terms of a WWE audience. I’ll just be bringing that energy, bringing that intensity. And I don’t want to lose my championship. I want to go on over here. I want to be over here being a champion. I want to retire with this thing.”

Becky Lynch’s Championship Reign

Becky Lynch then reflected on her run as RAW Women’s Champion. She won the title at last year’s WrestleMania 35 on April 7, 2019. Admitting that she has reflected on her lengthy reign, Lynch confessed that being a long-term champion brings its own difficulties and obstacles.

“It’s pretty crazy and it brings its own challenges. And because of that, because I’ve had it for a year, I’ve been nonstop going for a year, over a year,” she explained. “So, it really was a case of constantly going and constantly being on the go and now and I’ve finally gotten the chance to reflect on the past year and reflect on what I want for the future, the next year, which is pretty cool.”

How The Champ Stays Positive

With the coronavirus currently gripping the entire globe, Becky Lynch shared how she tries to stay positive during these unprecedented times. She noted how she’s lucky enough to still be able to perform and entertain, whether there are people in the crowd or not.

“I am privileged enough that I still get to go, whether there are crowds or not, go out there and perform for people at home watching and hopefully give them a little bit of a break. And also, really just things that you don’t really get the time to do a lot of the time, like catching up on movies and documentaries and changing your workouts a little bit. It makes you a little bit more creative. And then cooking. I love cooking and I’m never at home to cook.”

Becky Lynch Isn’t Interested In Appealing To Her Haters

Current WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch doesn’t believe she can change the minds of fans who “hate” her. More importantly, trying to do so isn’t something that interests her.

Addressing how she might change to appeal to subsections of the WWE Universe, Lynch told the NotSam Wrestling Podcast, “I think a lot of that is listening and knowing your audience. But also knowing the people are entitled to change their opinion. That they might turn on you and you might not be for them anymore. They might want somebody fresh and might want somebody new. Knowing that, that’s okay.”

Becky Lynch Won’t Waste Her Time On Haters

Becky Lynch explained how altering yourself to appeal isn’t the right reason to adjust. She noted how it has to “feel right” from a narrative and character perspective. She also added how it’s important to entertain and serve the people who enjoy what you do, rather than chasing the validation of those that don’t.

“[…] it has to feel like ‘okay is this where I am going?’ Is this the purpose that I want to follow? And, is this the story that I want to tell? Then you have to think of ‘okay there’s the people who love me and they’re gonna love me whatever I do, and let me serve them. What is, the best way that I can entertain them?’”

She continued, “Instead of the people that are going to hate me, how can I entertain them? ‘Oh can I make them love me?’ That’s just a waste of time, you’re not. That’s like chasing after the boy you just know never liked you, you know?”

Becky Lynch On Holding Championship From WrestleMania to WrestleMania

Long title reigns in wrestling’s modern era are hard to come by. Becky Lynch’s current reign with the RAW Women’s Championship is almost at 1-year, however. Lynch won both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championship in the main event of last year’s WrestleMania on April 7th, 2019. While she has since lost the Smackdown title, Lynch will pass the 1-year mark with the RAW title provided she can defeat Shayna Baszler this weekend at WrestleMania 36.

Lynch spoke to the Sporting News about going from WrestleMania to WrestleMania as RAW Women’s Champion.

“Yeah. I’ve had a little time to think about it. It’s pretty crazy and it brings its own challenges. And because of that, because I’ve had it for a year, I’ve been nonstop going for a year, over a year,” Lynch said during the interview. “So, it really was a case of constantly going and constantly being on the go and now and I’ve finally gotten the chance to reflect on the past year and reflect on what I want for the future, the next year, which is pretty cool.”

Lynch was then asked what she has done over the last year to get her character fresh.

“Always adapting. Always adapt and always trying to change and take chances. Take risks and sometimes they don’t work, sometimes you might fall flat on your face but you got to keep trying and I think that’s the most important thing. Be willing to go out there and be willing to change and be willing to try things even if they don’t work.”

Becky Lynch On WrestleMania 36 With No Fans

Becky was also asked about the unique challenges present for this year’s WrestleMania. WrestleMania 36 was filmed at the WWE Performance Center without fans in attendance. As Paul Heyman described it on RAW this week, WrestleMania 36 will be the most unique of its kind. Lynch was asked about her mentality heading into the event.

“The people that are watching at home, the millions of people that are watching at home, you have to tell them a story. You have to give them a reason to care. You have to give them a reason to think about something else for a little bit whether it’s an hour or three hours or whatever it is. Then you just figure out how can I do this the best and that’s all this ever is for me: how can I do this the best.”

The interview with Lynch covers a range of topics including her thoughts on Shayna Baszler and her in-home workouts. The full interview with Newsweek can be read here.

Seth Rollins Describes Homelife With Becky Lynch

Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch have had a lot more time to spend together at home these days. The “Monday Night Messiah” recently spoke with Hollywood Life about their “super chill” lifestyle during the global pandemic.

“We’re taking advantage of the downtime and cook some dinners, watch movies, and hang out,” Rollins said.

“We don’t really get a lot of time to do that,” he continued. “So you know, we are going to get full nights of sleep. We are going to hang out with my animals. Just enjoy quality time as opposed to work time, which is where we spend most of our time doing. Luckily she is not one of those fussy types that need a whole lot to be entertained, so I am okay and I will be alright. I think she is down with drinking beers and hanging out.”

Both Rollins and Lynch have big matches coming up at WrestleMania 36, though they have already been filmed at the WWE Performance Center. Lynch will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler while Rollins will take on Kevin Owens in single’s competition. Lynch has a rare opportunity in the modern era to walk into a WrestleMania with a world title belt she won at the previous year’s WrestleMania. Walking out still the champion would be in even more rarified air.

Seth Rollins On Being Grateful To Still Be Working

Rollins also spoke about being able to still perform during the pandemic.

“There is a lot of gratitude that goes into the last few weeks,” says Seth. “A lot of times our job runs us ragged, and we complain, as all of us do, about our workplaces. ‘[We] are frustrated or are overworked and underappreciated’ and stuff like that. I think with this situation, it certainly makes you take a look at the brighter side of things.”

Rollins continued to talk about how 3 million Americans filed for unemployment but he’s lucky enough to still be working at a job he loves.

“Not only that, but it’s a job that I love, and I still get to take part in that job during this time, even if it is in an abbreviated fashion. There is something very humbling and a lot of gratitude that goes along with all of that so, hopefully, when we come out of this crisis, it will be something we can take with us moving forward in our day-to-day lives.”

Rollins continued to talk about what he’s looking forward to doing most with his downtime. The full interview with Hollywood Life can be read here.

Becky Lynch Wasn’t Happy With Her Last Match With Shayna Baszler

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has revealed her dissatisfaction regarding her previous clash with Shayna Baszler. Lynch opened up about their last meeting during an interview with Sports Illustrated.

The last time the two shared a ring, they were competing in an inter-promotional Triple Threat matchup at last year’s Survivor Series. That match also included Bayley. Baszler, who was the then-NXT Women’s Champion, would secure the victory for the black-and-gold brand.

According to Lynch, their triple threat did not meet her standards for a main event clash. Four of the seven matches scheduled for that night’s Survivor Series were triple threat matches.

Becky Lynch On Receiving Criticism

When asked if the fact it was a women’s match headlining the show, Becky Lynch was quick to say, “It shouldn’t be about women—people shouldn’t use it as a chance to say, ‘That’s why women shouldn’t be main-eventing. You can’t wipe out an entire gender based on your opinion to a match.”

Lynch added, “No excuses, I’m open to criticism. Give me your opinion, I’ll take it. This is what anyone in the main event, male or female, has to deal with. If you ever have a bad night or a match that people don’t agree with, you’re the one out there that has to change and adjust. It makes you better in the long run.”

Becky Lynch On How Her Relationship With Seth Rollins Started

The relationship between Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch has been one of the most discussed topics in recent times and WWE even used their real-life connection in a storyline last year.

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on ESPN MMA, the current Raw Women’s Champion talked about a number of things including her upcoming WrestleMania match with Shayna Baszler and more.

Discussing the start of her relationship with the former Universal Champion, Lynch revealed that they hit it off in the first conversation she ever had with Rollins:

“We’ve been friends for years and years, and just immediately the first conversation that I ever had with him… we just hit it off,” said Becky. “I think I just ended up telling him my life story. And that was it, we were just friends, and there was never really anything. But then, we were both single at the same time, and then we were like, ‘Why not?'”

Seth Rollins is currently scheduled to face Kevin Owens in a one on one match at WrestleMania 36 though it appears that he will be alone in this fight as after AOP, Murphy has also been pulled from the show.

On the other hand, Becky Lynch will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler on the Show Of Shows this year and she believes that she will be competing in the first night of the event on April 4.

Becky Lynch Among WWE Stars Name Who Would Be On Their Wrestling Mount Rushmore

On Saturday, the topic of who would be on your Mount Rushmore of wrestling was trending on social media.

WWE’s YouTube channel put out a video that featured various stars being asked who they would put on their Mount Rushmore of wrestling.

The likes of WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Jason Jordan, Shayna Baszler, Seth Rollins, and Liv Morgan gave their take about this topic.

Just like with who is the GOAT (greatest of all-time) in wrestling, it’s an opinionated take as most people have a different list.

Most can agree upon the likes of Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and The Rock but typically the fourth name is divided. Here’s the list:

  • Becky Lynch on Superstars – Brock Lesnar, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and John Cena
  • Lynch on purest wrestlers – Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, and Kurt Angle.
  • Seth Rollins – Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Vince McMahon.
  • Charlotte – Andrade, herself, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair.
  • Jason Jordan – Kurt Angle, Mr. Perfect, Steve Austin, and Eddie Guerrero.
  • Shayna Bazler – Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Bruno Sammartino, and Steve Austin.
  • Liv Morgan – herself, Mickie James, Vince McMahon, and Shawn Michaels.

Do you agree with their list?

Mark Henry Talks Possible Stipulation For Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania

Mark Henry Talks Possible Stipulation For Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania

WrestleMania 36 is just a week away. With the current COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, WWE has been forced to pre-tape the biggest show of the year.

One of the bigger matches on the card; will see WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch take on Shayna Baszler for the Championship. In a potentially massive slip up, Mark Henry may have revealed the stipulation for the match.

During the most recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry was discussing the Roman Reigns and Goldberg situation. Roman Reigns has taken himself off of the WrestleMania card due to health worries, and Henry suggested that Matt Riddle be the replacement opponent for Goldberg at the event. In doing so, he discussed a match stipulation he’d like to see added to the RAW Women’s title match

Henry stated “You know, you got one match in an octagon hopefully. And hopefully you know what they can do with Shana Baszler and Becky Lynch. And then you can turn around and have one more right behind it, or have it before [Goldberg vs Riddle]. Just a tune up.”

“then you can turn around and have one more right behind it”

Mark Henry

The ‘World’s Strongest Man’ would obviously be referring to Riddle and Baszler being former MMA fighters, thus giving the stipulation some merit. However, with Riddle being pure speculation, it’s interesting for Mark Henry to say “you got one match in an octagon, hopefully.”

So, with WrestleMania 36 being behind closed doors and information being sparse; has Mark Henry just slipped that we’re getting an MMA match for Lynch vs Baszler? We have one more episode of RAW before WrestleMania 36 next week, could WWE announce the match stipulation then?

WrestleMania 36: Reported Initial Plans For Becky Lynch’s Entrance

A lot of plans have changed for WrestleMania 36 amid the coronavirus outbreak.

First, “The Show Of Shows” has been moved from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. This is due to the mass gathering bans imposed on the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. For the first time ever, WrestleMania will be held in front of an empty crowd.

Also, WrestleMania is typically the time WWE Superstars utilize some spectacular ring entrances. It turns out WWE had quite the entrance planned for Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch in Tampa, involving the custom semi-trailer truck we saw on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Lynch arrived at Raw in the truck, but according to PWInsider, this was originally to be used in her WrestleMania entrance.

The truck was also to be featured at WrestleMania 36 Axxess. WWE likely went ahead and used it this week on Raw since they’re not going to be able to do so in the way they had hoped at WrestleMania.
