WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch decided to have some fun with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley on social media.
Lynch shared a photo of a SmackDown ad for the FOX Network. In the graphic, Lynch is listed with WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Roman Reigns, and Charlotte Flair.
Lynch would also write the following in the caption of the photo on her official Twitter account:
“Hey Bayley, isn’t it great to see the women’s champion get so much attention on the new Smackdown ads for Fox? You’re doing amazing, Sweetie.” She later followed it up with, “I was a little petty there. I’ve been stabbed in the back a lot, but your one really hurt. Now you know I’ll have to make that right someday. See you soon.”
Lacey Evans, who feuded with Lynch over the RAW Women’s Title earlier this year, chimed in and referred to the comments as “classless and embarrassing.” Lynch would respond to this:
This jab comes after Bayley turned heel by attacking Lynch two weeks ago and aligning herself with Sasha Banks.
Also, this past Monday night on RAW, WWE booked a tag team match between the Four Horsewomen.
The premiere episode of WWE SmackDown Live on the FOX network will be a 20th Anniversary special. The October 4th show takes place from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California.
WWE is scheduled to hold another draft in October after SmackDown moves to Fox network. There have been lots of speculations on which stars could be switching brands.
Now it appears that some latest advertisements might have
given us an idea about a few big names which could be moving to the Blue Brand
in the draft.
Some recently surfaced photos as seen below reveal that WWE and FOX recently hired production company Two Birds Films to work on a SmackDown promotional video during the SummerSlam weekend.
The photos feature some SmackDown stars such as Randy Orton and Mandy Rose. However, they also include some names which are currently a part of the Raw roster, including Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch.
Out of these 4, Alexa Bliss is one half of the current Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Nikki Cross so she could make appearances on both the shows while still being considered a Raw star.
However, the other three names are exclusive to the red
roster. Since reports suggest that we will see a harder brand split once the
shows are on different networks, these photos have led to speculation that
these stars could be moving to SmackDown Live.
Though it’s also possible that these stars make some promotional appearances on the show instead of joining their roster and continue to be a part of Raw. So we will have to wait for the drafts to find out which stars actually switch brands.
Which stars would you like to see switch brands in the
upcoming WWE drafts? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Tonight’s Monday Night RAW will see RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch team up with Charlotte Flair against SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks. Ahead of this Four Horsewomen reunion, all four Superstars sat down with ESPN.com to discuss their tag match. They also spoke about their future ambitions.
When it comes to tonight’s match at Madison Square Garden, Bayley reflected that “The four of us will always be tied together and having a match with all of us in a place like MSG is special. I came up to the main roster last and this is one of the only times we’ve all been in the ring together on the main roster.”
“It’s a pretty big moment especially in somewhere like MSG, which is so historical,” Lynch added. “It’s a whole different kettle of fish now, and I’m a whole different woman now.
Sasha Banks commented on how “It’s really crazy to know that I’m gonna be in the ring with these girls that I started with and I haven’t been in the ring with them for a very long time.”
“Our stories are so intertwined if you go back to the beginning,” Flair said. “But I will say for Monday, this is the first time that the four of us have been on Raw together — just the four of us in a solo storyline.”
Never Satisfied
When it comes to their future plans, Bayley admitted that, despite everything they have achieved, none of them will ever be content or satisfied. Lynch added to this idea, claiming she would like to main event more shows.
“Just more main events,” Lynch said. “Just constantly main eventing and generating interest, whether it’s the main event or not. And that’s what we’re doing. Look, that’s all I’ve ever wanted — for women’s wrestling to be the coolest thing on TV, for people to be talking, for people to have opinions, for people to be so invested they can’t miss our matches.
Banks doesn’t want to main event more pay-per-views—she wants to main event every single one. She explained she wanted to main event every major show as well as every TV show and Live Event. “I want it just like as the guys do — I want to have it all. I’m never gonna be satisfied. Even when I get that, I’m gonna want more. That’s just the kind of person that I am.”
Charlotte Flair, however, believes that although it may not take place next year or even in a few years, a Fatal Four Way match between them will eventually main event WrestleMania:
“I hope the future holds the four of us in a Fatal Four Way in the main event of WrestleMania. That’s what I hope the future holds. I’m not saying it’s this year, next year, the next or the next after that. But eventually I truly believe that the Fatal Four Way will be a main event match at WrestleMania.”
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has made it clear that she wants to wrestle Stephanie McMahon and do it on a big stage.
Lynch has had a great 2019 with various accomplishments but there is still one goal that she wants and that’s to wrestle the daughter of WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
Lynch has been looking to get this match booked since July as she responded to McMahon’s comments about her being featured on the cover of ESPN The Magazine’s “Blockbuster” issue.
This is when she stated that they should fight sometime.
Fast forward to last week when the news was made that Lynch is featured in an episode of the iconic “This is SportsCenter” commercial series.
After McMahon commented on Lynch’s appearance, Lynch asked if she had some time to think about fighting her in front of a lot of people.
McMahon has responded to this challenge and didn’t give an answer. Instead, she told her to focus on her next challenge.
Lynch is slated to make her next title defense against Sasha Banks at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event on Sunday, September 15, 2019, in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Spectrum Center.
Current RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has spoken about her history with Sasha Banks. She also offered advice for NXT Superstars ahead of the show’s move to USA Network later this month.
In an interview with Newsweek, Lynch looked back at her time in NXT with Sasha Banks.
“When we were in NXT, she was seen as the top dog, and I was lucky to even get a look,” Lynch recalled. “And now it’s funny because the tides have changed. I think that it’s a different animal up here on the main roster. Things have changed, match times have changed, and everything is cutthroat, and I took that and ran with it and became ‘The Man’ I am today.”
Lynch commented on how Banks “took her ball and went home” for a few months. She added that Banks believes she can just return to WWE and take Lynch’s spot—a spot the RAW Women’s Champion has no interest in giving up.
When it comes to NXT’s move to USA Network, Lynch offered her advice to the black-and-gold brands Superstars.
“Work hard,” she said. “Work harder than anyone else, and don’t be afraid to fail. You fail, you fail. You can always come back, you can come back from anything. Keep working hard. Take those risks, they are so important.”
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch had the honor to hit a move to WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin, which is rare these days as it’s not often to see the pro wrestling legend take a bump.
Monday’s episode of Austin’s reality show, “Straight Up Steve Austin” that aired on Monday night after Raw on the USA Network.
Towards the end of the show, the two stars were in a ring that led to them drinking some beer.
Lynch hit Austin’s signature finisher, Stunner, to him that laid him out. She walked away after telling him that’s what happens when the man comes around. Check it out here:
Lynch has made her rise with the moniker as “The Man,” which many fans have compared her to Austin. Part of that success is due to the way that WWE has been booking her, which is similar to Austin.
Austin has his next WWE appearance booked as he’ll be appearing on next Monday’s RAW show at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
This is where he’ll be a moderator for the contract signing between WWE RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman for their Universal Title match at Clash of Champions.
A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE Clash of Champions PPV and as expected, it involves two top talents in the women’s division on RAW.
During Monday’s episode of RAW, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch did a promo segment with Sasha Banks that led to Banks issuing a challenge for a title match at this PPV event.
Their feud started back on the August 12th episode of Monday Night RAW in Toronto, Ontario when Banks made her return to television that led to Banks attacking Natalya and Lynch.
WWE presents the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event on Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Spectrum Center that will air on the WWE Network.

“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair has reportedly filed to trademark “The Man.” The term has been one often associated with Flair over his decades’ long career, but has been adopted within WWE by current Superstar, and RAW Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.
In a recent tweet, the “Nature Boy” seemed to take open issue with both Becky Lynch and Taylor Swift. He purposely tagged them in the message, seemingly, to grab their attention.
“I Hate To Break It To You Both @BeckyLynchWWE And @taylorswift13, But I’m THE MAN!!! And To Be THE MAN, You Gotta Beat THE MAN! WOOOOO! #theman”
Lynch not only uses the nickname “The Man,” she also has the phrase on multiple pieces of WWE merchandise. Taylor Swift, meanwhile, recently released a new song entitled “The Man.”
The trademark filing will allegedly cover purposes intended for entertainment services—with wrestling exhibitions and appearances being purposefully stated. If successful, Flair would also own the right to use “The Man” on clothing, footwear, and headwear.
With Becky Lynch as popular as she is right now, she is commonly referenced to as “The Man” across all of WWE’s output. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see how the promotion reacts to Flair’s attempts to lock down the rights to own it.
WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has confirmed that
after a long relationship she and the current Universal Champion Seth Rollins
have gotten engaged.
Lynch broke the news via her social media accounts and posting a photo of herself and Rollins on both Twitter and Instagram, she wrote that it’s the happiest day of her life.
It’s unknown how long these two have been dating each other but the duo originally confirmed their relationship during a Twitter exchange back in May this year.
WWE then incorporated this relationship into their storylines as well and both the champions even went on to form a tag team for a match against Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans at the Extreme Rules PPV in July.
Various WWE stars have also started reacting to the news and after WWE.com published a story on their engagement, stars like Sheamus, Renee Young and more have congratulated the couple on social media:
Becky Lynch is currently feuding with Sasha Banks after the Boss returned to WWE programming a couple weeks ago and attacked both Lynch and Natalya following a heel turn.
On the other hand, Seth Rollins is involved in a storyline with Braun Strowman and these two won the Raw Tag Team Championships during this week’s episode of the show.
The SEScoops team would like to congratulate the duo on their engagement and wish them a bright future ahead.
Becky Lynch still wants to have a single’s match with Ronda Rousey. Lynch got the pin on Rousey in the main event of WrestleMania, though Rousey’s shoulder was slightly off the mat at the time. She spoke to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp recently about having unfinished business with Rousey.
“I don’t know if we will (see her). I’ll be here holding the company up if she does. We still have a one-on-one match to have. I’ll be holding this championship until someone pries it out of my cold, dead hands. So if she ever wants to come at me – Ronnie, I’m here waiting, you little weirdo,” Lynch said.
The full interview can be viewed in the player below:
Lynch also spoke about her stint away from wrestling during the interview.
“I will say, honestly, it was quite hard for me to watch wrestling during that period. I had stepped away, I couldn’t do it anymore, I went through some issues. I was seeing people I’d come through the business with like Tyson Kidd, Natalya, Sheamus all make it. I felt like I should be there, and I didn’t know if I was ever going to be there, and it was very hard to watch,” she said.
Becky Lynch Calls For Ronda To Come Out Of Retirement
Lynch also called for Ronda to come out of retirement in a recent interview with Inside the Ropes.
“Yeah, chased her out of here. I told her the day after WrestleMania, I told her ‘Look Ronnie ya little weirdo if you ever wanna face me, I’ll be standing here, I’ll be holding this Championship and I’ll be holding the fort down if she ever she comes out of retirement.”
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev did an interview with Entertainment reporter and founder of Reel Talker, Jim Alexander, while at a charity poker event at Paramount Studios.
During the interview, Bella talked about her desire to wrestle WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and the nixed plans for a feud after WrestleMania 35.
“I’d love to come back and wrestle “The Man” Becky Lynch, she’s doing so well, or “The Iconics” would be a dream. We planned on doing that after Wrestlemania.”
This isn’t the first time that she has talked about hoping she can make an in-ring return for a potential match against the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
In the past, Nikki has revealed that there were plans for The Bellas vs. The IIconics after WrestleMania 35 on an episode of the Bella Twins podcast.
However, those plans were nixed after Nikki’s neck issues and the benign cyst that was found on her brain.
As a result, that has caused her to retire from the pro wrestling business. Her sister, Brie, has also retired from the ring.
Regarding Lynch, she just wrapped up a program with Natalya by retaining the WWE RAW Women’s Title at the SummerSlam event.
Now, it appears that Lynch will be feuding with Sasha Banks heading into the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event next month.
On the July 15th episode of RAW in Long Island, NY, WWE held a women’s Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match. Natalya, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, and Carmella were featured in the contest.
As seen in the match, Natalya won and has earned the right to challenge Lynch for the title at this year’s SummerSlam. The two stars had been exchanging some heated words on social media in the lead up to build interest in the match.
Lynch just finished up a program that lasted over the previous few months with Lacey Evans that ended at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view event.
The blow-off to this program happened at the show when she and former Universal Champion Seth Rollins beat Evans and Corbin in a Mixed Tag Team Winners Take All Extreme Rules Match.
What are your thoughts on Becky Lynch retaining the RAW Women’s title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.
Becky Lynch recently took part in an interview with Inside the Ropes in the build-up to tomorrow’s SummerSlam. During the discussion, Lynch reflected on a remarkable year which culminated in a WrestleMania main event and a WWE 2K20 cover.
“Insane. I would say one of the most notable 12 month runs in WWE history. But with that being said and all the things that have been accomplished, the ways that we….or I have changed the game for Women and for the sport in general, I’m constantly just thinking about what’s next, how can I be better, how can I get more intrigue into my stories, how can I get people to care more about the people that I’m fighting about.”
Lynch also spoke in regards to her SummerSlam opponent, Natalya.
“And look I’ve even done it about Nattie Neidhart, people actually care about Nattie AGAIN, even though she’s one of the greatest wrestlers we have in the division – somehow she’s been forgotten because she let herself be forgotten, because she’s too busy sitting back there trying to get everyone to like her. I’ve proved what can happen when you stand out and say ‘I don’t care about making friends in this business. I care about being number one and I want other people to do that. I want Nattie to do that, I want everyone else to do that because I wanna main event WrestleMania again, I want people to step up to the plate.”
Becky Lynch Calls For Ronda Rousey To Come Out Of Retirement
Naturally, Lynch also spent a portion of the interview discussing her rival, Ronda Rousey.
If Rousey does come out of retirement, Lynch believes she’ll have the edge against her.
“But just remember this….I’ve been getting better week after week after week and I’ve already beat ya once so if you wanna come back I think you’re gonna have to spend a few months even a few friggin years in the trenches doin some hard work because I haven’t stopped goin.”
Lynch may have trouble getting Ronda to come out of retirement, however. Rousey is said to be dealing with an outbreak of renegade tables near her property:
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch got fans talking while doing an interview with Sky Sports to promote the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event that takes place this Sunday.
Right out of the gate, Lynch was asked about wrestling Sasha Banks, which is when things got interesting.
“If Sasha Banks could hack it and she just didn’t get her jacket and she’s off crying like Ronda Rousey, then I would love to face her. Unfortunately, she couldn’t take losing.”
Lynch would fire up while seemingly cutting a promo by noting that Lynch lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and she was gone.
She noted that some people can’t hack losing, can’t step up and realize when you lose it’s just a chance to get better.
The champ continued by noting that it’s a chance to learn and grow. Instead, of doing that, Banks is talking about the wind and the butterflies on social media. Lynch added that Banks should come find her if she wants it.
Banks’ status has been up in the air after it was reported that she tried to quit during WrestleMania 35 weekend.
Lynch’s comments come right after the first question, which is about 20 seconds into the video. You can watch the full clip here:
Former WWE RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair did an interview with The Wrap where she talked about the news of WWE 2K20 this week.
Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns are on the cover of the game. According to Flair, she thinks this is a big deal. She brought up the trailer for the game where Roman acknowledging her like she was the man.
She thinks there’s no bigger acknowledgment in the company than that coming from Reigns. Flair thought it makes it seen as Lynch trying to let everyone known that she wants to be the face of the company, which is where Reigns is right now.
Flair added, “I think it’s more kudos that – Roman is standing behind her. Roman Reigns is standing behind her. [He’s] the face of our company. That’s the big message to me.”
Flair later talked about the negativity over Lynch sharing the cover. She thinks having Lynch on the cover and not another male alongside Reigns is a message from WWE.
She thinks it says from WWE, ‘Hey, our women are taking over and we hope that this message spreads to every industry.’ Because WWE is positioning us as Superstars equally as the men in every aspect in the company.”
Flair says the fans who are complaining that Reigns is on the cover are either going to be happy or mad. She thinks they will have something to be negative about. The reason for her mindset is due to it being easier to be negative than to be positive.
WWE 2K20 will be released on October 22nd, 2019 with no early access for collectors or deluxe versions this year. It will be made available for fans to play on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Since WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has made her rise with the moniker as “The Man,” many fans have compared her to WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin.
While Austin is a big fan of Lynch’s, he has known that she should be considered by fans as her own person.
Austin made an appearance on Busted Open Radio where he gave his thoughts on Lynch and noted that she looks and comes across like an all-star because she is one. He noted that she’s a class act and is proud of her for lighting wrestling on fire.
Austin continues by noting that people shouldn’t draw comparisons between himself and Lynch because it’s a different thing that she’s pulling off flawlessly. He thinks she’s had one of the best runs for the last 18 months.
Around the 1:10 mark, Austin talked about why he didn’t have a segment with Lynch in order to endorse her in front of the fans at the RAW Reunion special a few weeks ago. Bully Ray pitched the idea of drinking a beer with the champ at the end of the show.
“I don’t know that she really needs my anointing or passing of the torch because she is kind of like ‘Hey, you are like me.”
“I think she has her own thing going. Like the Mitch Hedberg thing. I think she’s got her own thing going. I just don’t think she needed my endorsement. Maybe somewhere down the road if there’s an organic storyline that would come up. Maybe she needs some help or something like that. I think she stands on her own pretty damn well.”
Since she turned heel last year, Lynch has transformed her character to be one of the biggest stars in the company and not just in the women’s division. Part of that success is due to the way that WWE has been booking her, which is similar to Austin.
WWE has announced a stipulation for the upcoming match between RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Natalya at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event.
On Monday, WWE confirmed that this contest will now be a submission match. This comes after last week’s episode of RAW where footage of Lynch attacking Natalya and WWE agent Fit Finlay was shown as they were working out in the ring before the show.
Later in the episode, Natalya attacked Lynch during her match with Alexa Bliss. WWE had Natalya cut a promo backstage where she questioned if Lynch had the guts to accept a submission stipulation. The idea is to have a theme of the Sharpshooter vs. the Disarm Her.
WWE presents the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday, August 11, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently did an interview with Vicente Beltrán from ViBe & Wrestling where she spoke about the next step in her career with WWE.
This is when Lynch stated that being on the cover of WWE 2K20 would be the next step. She thinks about the next step and always wanting to be the first to do something.
She brought up how being “The Man” is synonymous with being the first person to do something. This ranges from being part of the first main event of WrestleMania, women main eventing SmackDown Live, women’s ladder match, women’s Royal Rumble match, and SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Lynch added, “It’s all about being the first, so being the first woman on the cover of 2K20 would be awesome.”
This is interesting timing considering it was revealed today that the cover star for the upcoming WWE 2K20 video game would be revealed Monday, August 5th.
In the announcement, it was noted that more details than ever will be shared alongside the first look at game footage.
This week on WWE RAW, a video was shown of Becky Lynch attacking Fit Finlay and Natalya as Finlay was teaching Natalya how to reverse out of the Disarm-her and into a Sharpshooter. Lynch kneed Finlay in the groin and then proceeded to attack her SummerSlam challenger Natalya.
Lynch recently called Finlay a traitor on social media which garnered a response from Finlay himself.
Finlay posted to social media on the 45th anniversary of his first match:
Lynch then responded with:
Finlay then responded back with:
Fit Finlay and Becky Lynch
Finlay has been working backstage in WWE more or less since 2001. He was briefly fired in 2011 for authorizing the Miz to interrupt the National Anthem at a house show. Finlay was hired back not long after, however. He works prominently with the women’s divisions. It was also Finlay who seemingly approved of Lynch entering the 2019 Royal Rumble in place of an injured Lana:
Video of Lynch’s attack on Finlay and Natalya from Monday can be viewed in the player below:
Natalya cut a backstage promo this week stating she wanted to challenge Lynch to a submission match at SummerSlam but wasn’t going to as she doesn’t feel the champion will accept.
Brock Lesnar decimated Seth Rollins during this past Monday’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
“The Beast Incarnate” interrupted Rollins’ match against Dolph Ziggler, leaving Rollins needing medical attention. However, while strapped to a stretcher inside an ambulance, Lesnar would reappear and continue his vicious assault.
On an episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray argued that the segment would have been better if Rollins had someone by his side. Namely his girlfriend, Becky Lynch.
“Where was Becky?” he asked. “If we take a look at this in a quote-unquote real life and how real people react, if they would have just had Becky go in the ambulance with Seth—she didn’t have to get in, but she should have been the last person that Seth saw before the doors closed, and then Becky walks off out of the shot…Now, as a viewer, when Brock stops the ambulance and continues to destroy Seth, now in my mind I’m like, ‘Alright, well Becky thinks he’s okay, cause she thinks the ambulance left already.’”
Bully Ray continued, “That’s not the case, Becky would have saw everything. So, not only am I confused as to why she wasn’t there for her man when he was getting loaded in the ambulance, I wanna know why she wasn’t there for her man when he was getting his ass annihilated. Even the most non-confrontational people in the world will put their body on the line and sacrifice themselves to help a loved one, right?”
He stated that either Becky Lynch or Roman Reigns should have been involved in the segment, given their personal relationships with the former WWE Universal Champion.
Becky Lynch recently featured in a storyline that saw reality and fiction blend as WWE put her real-life relationship with Seth Rollins on screens for the WWE Universe.
In an interview with TalkSport.com, “The Man” admitted she was “apprehensive” over WWE’s decision to do so. She was worried that fans would simply focus on the relationship, and not the Superstars involved in the storyline.
“Honestly, I was very apprehensive,” Lynch stated. “What I didn’t want was everybody talking about the relationship. What I wanted was two bad asses, two people at the top of their game fighting side-by-side. Not for the world to be reminded every five minutes that this is Becky Lynch’s boyfriend or that’s Seth Rollins’ girlfriend. Which, of course, they didn’t do. They were the masters of subtlety…”
She continued, “So, for that reason, I was apprehensive. But when I thought about it, I was like OK. One, we’re going to make this a badass fight, it’s going to be a great fight. No matter what, you know when you put me and Seth Rollins in a fight you’re going to get pure passion and we’re going to pull out all the stops. But in terms of having my relationship be the freaking front and centre, that’s not what I’m about. That’s not what I’ve worked towards. That’s not what I wanted.”
Lynch explained that she wanted to work with Seth not because they’re dating, but because “he’s the best in the business—you know, besides me.”
The two paired up to take on Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans during WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Although Lynch and Rollins would win this match, Rollins would ultimately lose the WWE Universal Championship to Brock Lesnar, who chose that night to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase.
WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is a believer that WWE can hold a second WWE Evolution pay-per-view.
Not only does she think another event can be done but also without former champion Ronda Rousey. Lynch recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of TalkSport where she discussed her belief.
“Oh, absolutely! First and foremost, it was one of the best pay-per-views of the year.”
Lynch noted that the statement is not her being biased but rather it’s a fact. She thought her match against Charlotte Flair was the Match of the Year.
“Absolutely, I don’t see any reason why not. I think we have a strong enough women’s division [without Rousey], as long as they tell the stories around us and let us go. And… that’s all I’ll say.”
This was the first-ever women’s pay-per-view event under the WWE banner, which took place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York.
Nikki Bella vs. Rousey for the RAW Women’s Title served as the main event of this show. Lynch vs. Flair was a heavily promoted contest that saw Lynch beat Flair to retain the SmackDown Women’s Title in a Last Woman Standing match.
At the time, there was speculation that part of the reason WWE held this was show was due to female talent not being allowed to work the Crown Jewel PPV the following month due to the beliefs of the Saudi Arabia government.
Dana Brooke has been more vocal in recent months about wanting a shot on WWE television.
Taking to her Twitter account, Brooke has once again declared her frustrations and intentions after WWE announced Alexa Bliss will wrestle Becky Lynch this Monday on RAW.
She made it clear that she wants a shot a Becky Lynch, adding that she doesn’t understand why Bliss is consistently afforded opportunities when there’s “a locker room full of women!”
“I want a chance at @BeckyLynchWWE ! Not sure why it’s always “the goddess”.. give someone else a chance there is a locker room full of women! Let me show I’ve improved and I belong!”
The current RAW Women’s Champion saw Brooke’s exasperated message and responded with three words, loaded with recognition and praise: “You’ve earned it.”
At one point, Brooke shared a promo segment with former WWE RAW Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey. This led to a match where Brooke would suffer an injury, forcing her away from in-ring competition.
Although she has since featured in a few matches, Brooke has yet to enter into a long-term feud with another Superstar. She competed against Nikki Cross in a Beat the Clock challenge a few weeks ago and also competed in the Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Perhaps getting the acknowledgement and approval of “The Man” will help Dana get the opportunity she craves.
Natalya has responded to a video uploaded by Becky Lynch that documented their friendship in Japan and rivalry in WWE. The video featured numerous moments of betrayal, with Natalya attacking an unsuspecting Lynch from behind.
She has since responded to Lynch’s post, claiming that she gave Becky a lesson in how things work in WWE. Natalya called her a “spoon fed NXT darling” and believes she should be thanked for “smartening” her up.
“Becky, I gave you a lesson. How things work in WWE. You were a spoon fed NXT darling. You should thank me for smartening you up. In fact, there probably isn’t “The Man” without this beating. So, you are welcome. Get ready to pay me back with the Raw Women’s title. #SummerSlam”
The RAW Women’s Champion accompanied the video with the caption: “Nearly time to pay your debts, Nattie, you snake. #TheManNeverForgets”
Natalya won the right to compete against Becky Lynch after winning a Fatal Four Way to determine a new number one contender. She defeated Namoi, Alexa Bliss, and Carmella to earn her opportunity.
The women are scheduled to face off for Lynch’s RAW Women’s Championship at SummerSlam, which takes place on August 11th from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
Natalya will challenge Becky Lynch for the RAW women’s championship at SummerSlam on August 11th, 2019 in Toronto. Shortly after earning the title shot, Natalya commented on her and Lynch’s shared history in a post-match promo. Lynch was quick to point out that the person Natalya will be facing at SummerSlam is not the Becky Lynch she thinks of as a friend, however.
Natalya posted the following to her social media followers yesterday:
Lynch retired from pro-wrestling following a head injury from 2006 to 2013. She actually wrestled a few matches in Ireland during that time but was largely out of the industry. Lynch returned to the business and was promptly given a WWE tryout and signed in 2013. She responded to Natalya’s comments on Twitter:
