Becky Lynch Hints At Learning Deadly Move From Conor McGregor’s Coach

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has hinted at adding a new move that could be deadly inside of the squared circle. Lynch dropped a hint at potentially working with Conor McGregor’s coach, John Kavanagh, over the break in the WWE schedule during her time off for the Christmas holiday when she returns home to Ireland in order to train.

This wouldn’t be the first time for Lynch to work with Kavanagh as she and Jinder Mahal did just that last November while WWE was on tour in Ireland.

This exchange all started once Kavanagh tweeted about The Man on Monday once her appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show was announced, which led to Lynch responding by stating that she was looking to learn a new move to show off in her matches.

Becky wrote, “Been looking for a new impact move, I’m home for Christmas if you’re around.”

This led to Kavanagh responding by stating that they should work on a new move together which led to Lynch commenting back to him by stating that she wanted something “Deadly. I’m looking to cross paths with a few women over here who’ve earned a good beating. Thought I’d add a new attack at home, then come back here for all their heads.”

Becky Lynch Takes Shot At Charlotte Flair’s “Cosmetic Enhancements”

Becky Lynch took a crack at Charlotte Flair’s “cosmetic enhancements” on Twitter recently. Lynch was responding to criticism from Flair about having missed time on Smackdown due to a concussion and broken face.

    https://twitter.com/beckylynchwwe/status/1071138710006185984?s=12

“Charlotte calling me out on TV and online for “missing time.” Again, The Man will just provide the truth in the face of lies.”

Big E was shocked enough by the statement that he reacted with a Kramer GIF:

Charlotte also issued a response to Becky:

“Walking out in a T-shirt doesn’t qualify as “not missing a smackdown”. I’ve never missed a day as champ. You want to make fun? Go ahead. You have plenty of time to tweet from the sidelines. When you pull out of TLC, I’ll be there to save the day. Again.”

Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka – TLC

Becky Lynch will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against 2 challengers in 8 days at TLC. Originally, Smackdown GM, Paige, booked a rematch between Becky and Charlotte for the title. The rest of the Smackdown Women’s roster complained, however, and Paige later scheduled a battle royal with the winner being added to Becky vs Charlotte at TLC.

Asuka would win the battle royal later that same evening and book her spot with Becky and Charlotte at TLC.

  • Becky Lynch States That She Wants To Main Event WrestleMania 35

Becky Lynch States That She Wants To Main Event WrestleMania 35

Becky Lynch is arguably the hottest star in WWE right now. ‘The Man’ has seen an incredible rise to the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship and is reportedly being groomed for the WrestleMania 35 main event. In a recent interview with the Asbury Park Press Lynch confirmed that she wanted the top slot at the show of shows.

When asked what her ‘hopes’ were for WrestleMania 35 she stated “The same hopes as I always have, to main event WrestleMania, right? And that’s what I want to do this year. And I don’t care who I have to go through to make that happen, that’s my goal, and to go out and steal the show.” Becky is currently expected to be in the main event against RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Lynch also discussed her use of social media to help get her character over. Becky said “I think it’s so important because you’ve got however long we have on TV, usually maybe 15 minutes, 10 minutes. 10, 15 minutes we have on TV, 30 if you’re Becky Lynch and you put on the longest women’s match in WWE history on TV, maybe. Becky elaborated further, stating that “when you’re on social media you can extend the story, you can get your voice out, you can let people know how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking. And what I’ve said about other people’s social media is they’re on there writing love letters to each other. I don’t have time for that. I don’t have time for that because I don’t care about anybody else, I care about me and being the champion, being the best, being ‘The Man.’

  • Becky Lynch Pinpoints The Moment Fans Started Supporting Her

Becky Lynch Pinpoints The Moment Fans Started Supporting Her

Given her astronomical rise to the top of the main event scene within WWE, you wouldn’t blame Becky Lynch if everything felt a bit like a blur.

Ever since turning heel against Charlotte Flair during August’s SummerSlam event, ‘The Man’ has been on a crusade as she continues her anti-heroine behavior. Not even suffering a broken nose and concussion could impede on that.

For Lynch, however, she believes she can almost pinpoint the moment the WWE Universe began to rally behind her.

Speaking with Asbury Park Press, ‘The Lass Kicker’ divulged that she believes this crystallising moment took place during WWE’s Money In The Bank event on June 17th, 2018.

“I don’t know if it’s that they [the WWE Universe] can tell that I’m so passionate about it [wrestling] and that I just want to be really good and that every time I go out there I try to put on the best match possible in the time that I can for them,” she said. “I don’t know if it’s that, but I think that we saw at Money in the Bank every time I climbed the ladder they showed their support, and I think that was when everybody started to turn their heads and say, “Oh, OK, Becky’s got a connection with these people.”

Becky supposedly had issues believing in herself in the past. Given the vocal swell of support over the past few months, that presumably won’t be a problem anymore.

  • Finn Balor Didn’t Think Becky Lynch Believed In Herself

Finn Balor Didn’t Think Becky Lynch Believed In Herself

Given how they now both work for the same company, it’s easy to forget that it was Finn Balor who helped to train Becky Lynch when she was first getting started in pro wrestling.

That was in 2002. Before Bullet Club, before ‘The Demon,’ and before Becky Lynch became ‘The Man’ in WWE.

Speaking with Sam Roberts on his podcast, Notsam Wrestling Podcast, Finn Balor recalls training a young Lynch as well as a number of other topics, including his forthcoming match against Drew McIntyre at WWE’s TLC event, his time at NXT, and the potential of moving to SmackDown.

A key takeaway from their conversation revolved around Becky’s belief in herself and her abilities. Reflecting on her recent rise to superstardom, Balor commented that everybody believed in her when she first started out. Everyone except herself.

“Can I believe that this is happening? Yes,” Balor said with resolute confidence. “I’ve always believed that Becky had that in her, I just don’t know that she believed it. Maybe in the last couple months, she’s started to get that self-confidence. I think everybody believed in her except herself. Finally, she got that self-confidence, and she’s been rockin’, man. It’s unbelievable to watch, and I think it’s only going to get bigger.”

“She is on fire right now,” he continued, “and she’s been around almost as long as me. She’s been around 15-16 years or something, so she knows exactly what she’s doing in the ring. She’s comfortable, her promos are on fire, and she’s killing. Long may it continue.”

  • Becky Lynch Discusses Being Trained By Finn Balor

Becky Lynch Discusses Being Trained By Finn Balor

Becky Lynch is arguably WWE’s hottest star at the moment. Her rise began back at SummerSlam when she turned heel on Charlotte Flair following their SmackDown Live Women’s Title match. Despite attempting to turn heel, the WWE Universe has thrown a tremendous amount of support behind “The Irish Lass Kicker.”

Lynch won the SDL Women’s Title from “The Queen” at Hell In A Cell (HIAC), and has reigned ever since. Now, she’s preparing for yet another historic title defense. After successfully defending her title in the first-ever Last Woman Standing match at Evolution, she’ll attempt another historic defense. Lynch will defend her title against Flair and Asuka in the first-ever Women’s Tables Ladders and Chairs (TLC) match.

The bout goes down at the TLC PPV on December 16th from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. Recently, Lynch did a Q&A with the Asbury Park Press to promote the match. One of the questions she was asked was about being trained by fellow WWE star Finn Balor early on in her career.

Here’s what Lynch had to say about being trained by her fellow countryman:

“You know what he taught me a long time ago? He said, “If anybody tells you it’s raining, go out and check.” And I always think that’s perfect. It’s a little bit like the whole (idea that) you can’t trust anybody, right? And not everybody’s got your back, right?

“And so I think I’ve learned that, and you’ve seen that in me coming out on TV recently, that I don’t trust anybody, that I’m going to go out and check for myself and take things for myself. I think that’s what he meant by that. Also, what was so great about Finn is that he was so passionate, right?

“I think that extended down to everybody he taught because we all absorbed that passion and we wanted to be the best. And he just has such a great work ethic and such a discipline and such a drive and such a belief in himself.

“So I think that extended to me and that was something that I looked at and idolized and hoped that one day I could bring out in myself. And look, here we are.”

What do you think about Lynch’s comments regarding being trained by Balor?

  • Update on Becky Lynch, Is She Cleared to Compete at TLC?

Update on Becky Lynch, Is She Cleared to Compete at TLC?

Becky Lynch is currently scheduled to face Asuka and Charlotte Flair in the first ever Women’s TLC Triple Threat at the December 16th WWE TLC pay-per-view. The Wrestling Observer recently reported that ‘The Man’ is not currently cleared for action. Lynch did appear as part of the Tribute To The Troops tapings, teaming with Charlotte Flair to face Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. There aren’t currently any details available from that taping so she may well have been heavily protected and not taken too much in-ring.

WON are reporting that Lynch has been cleared from the concussion that she suffered as a result of Nia Jax’s errant punch on RAW. It is however being reported that Lynch has not been cleared as a result of the nasal fracture from the hit. Becky has been appearing on Smackdown in a non-physical role, she is expected to be cleared in time for the TLC match against Flair and Asuka.

Even while injured Becky’s hot steak appears to be continuing. The Irish ‘Lass-Kicker’ is taking part in a VIP Axxess event at the Royal Rumble and it has already sold out. The WWE Superstar shared the news via social media, telling her fanbase that “I see and hear you all, all the tee shirts, the signs, the posts, the love. The Man sees you all. They didn’t expect us, but here we are”.

Becky Lynch’s Royal Rumble VIP Axxess Sells Out In Amazing Time

It’s no surprise that Becky Lynch has become one of the top superstars in WWE today. Ever since turning heel against Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, ‘The Man’ has been on a perpetual upswing as she has fully embraced a brash, cocky anti-heroine persona. The WWE Universe has been making their voices heard each and every week by clearly supporting Lynch in her efforts.

That’s now further reflected by the fact fans have helped to sell out Becky Lynch’s Royal Rumble VIP Axxess meet-and-greet within an impressive 90 seconds.

The “Lass Kicker” shared the news via social media, telling her fanbase that “I see and hear you all, all the tee shirts, the signs, the posts, the love. The Man sees you all. They didn’t expect us, but here we are”.

The WWE has managed to capture lightning in a bottle with Lynch’s new persona, despite their efforts to initially turn her heel. The crowd weren’t buying into the narrative the WWE was trying to tell. With the audience cheering her as she would dole out beat down’s on the women they were meant to be cheering, Lynch has since become one of the WWE’s top talents.

Did you pick up a VIP Package for the Royal Rumble to meet Lynch? Are you surprised by this at all?

Becky Lynch: Lack Of Confidence Was Holding Me Back

Becky Lynch is arguably the hottest star in the world of pro-wrestling right now. In a recent interview with NBC News, she says what had always been holding her back was confidence.

“I think the greatest obstacle in my career has always been myself, been confidence,” Lynch said. “If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody else will.”

She also spoke about her 7-year absence from wrestling after having trained and competed as a teenager.

“In 2006, I was trying to make it to WWE but my head wasn’t focussed on the right thing,” she continued. “I ended up getting hurt in a match in Germany. It was my own fault. My mom really wanted me to leave wrestling because I didn’t have a plan, I didn’t have any money, and I didn’t know what to do with my life.”

Between 2006 and 2013, Becky wrestled less than a handful of times. She studied acting, worked as a stewardess, and did various other jobs.

“There was 7 years when I was away from wrestling,” she continued before saying she ultimately felt pulled back into it. “Nothing ever felt like it pulled me like wrestling did. I felt like I was meant to be in WWE, I just didn’t’ know how.”

Lynch decided to give wrestling a second shot in 2013 when she was 27. This time things went much easier for her. A wrestling school she attended briefly was able to get her a WWE tryout fairly quickly and she was signed not long after. She spent two years in developmental before making the main roster in 2015.

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch spoke to Hollywood Life to talk about various topics including the chance to work with Shawn Michaels and The Miz while filming the Marine 6: Close Quarters. She stated that she took notice of how Miz navigated the film, how he conducted himself, and how he treated everybody. She brought up how he’s a great leader and created this great atmosphere.

Regarding the WWE Hall of Famer, she stated that Michaels is an incredible wrestler and actor. Lynch believes there’s nothing that he can’t do.

Over the past few months, she has given herself the ‘The Man’ nickname in WWE. “That confidence? You know, the thing of it is, it’s always an inside job, right? It doesn’t come overnight. This is something that I’ve been working on for a long time, and why this works so well is because we’ve seen me not have confidence. We’ve seen me persevere. We’ve seen every obstacle being thrown my way and finding a way to deal with it. But, it’s all about believing in yourself, and I always say, you know, you’re the only person that lives in your head.”

Lynch continued by stating that although you can tell yourself how bad you are all day, it’s better to think that you are great. She thinks that just have to constantly work on believing in yourself, and believing that you’re enough. “Have faith that you’ve got everything that it takes to make it. If you put the work in? Smackdown Ratings Increase Week Over Week

Tuesday’s edition of Smackdown Live, which aired live from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was the most-watched show on cable for November 27 in the 18-49 demographic and finished ninth overall for the night. Smackdown’s ratings were up from a 0.7 to a 0.8 in the 18-49 demo.

TV By The Numbers reports that the show, which featured the return of Becky Lynch, scored 114,000 more total viewers than last week’s episode, beating it 2.264 million viewers to 2.150 million.

The number is still below what the show drew two weeks ago, but finishing first for the night in the key demographic can’t be taken as a negative.

Curse Of Oak Island on History and the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC both topped Smackdown in total viewers, with 3.408 million and 3.315 million respectively. The other six shows that topped Smackdown for the night in total viewers all aired on Fox News Channel.

Without the benefit of quarter-hour breakdowns, it’s difficult to pinpoint a single reason for the uptick in viewership this week.

The show was built around the Smackdown Women’s Championship picture. The main event featured a women’s battle royal, with the winner being added to the Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair match at TLC next month. A strong promo segment between Lynch and Flair kicked off the show.

The opening segment of this week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw the return of the Man and the SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.

During the segment, Paige also announced a TLC match between Lynch and Charlotte for the upcoming show of the same name. After the other women of the roster objected to that, they were given an opportunity to earn their spot in this match as well.

The opportunity was a battle royal which took place in the main event of the show and it saw Asuka winning the bout and earning herself a title shot as part of the upcoming bout.

After SmackDown went off air, Becky took on her Twitter account to comment on the events from the show and took a shot at the fact that Asuka earned her way to the bout but Charlotte was rewarded this opportunity for free:

Lynch also talked about who she would like to face in the main event of any show. This is when she named former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Sasha Banks.

“Sasha Banks is one of my favorite people to be in the ring with,” Becky continued. “She’s fantastic, a wonderful athlete. It would be a great match. One of my favorite matches, and my coming out match, was myself against her at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable. She won that match, and times have changed, so I would like to prove to her who the man is.”

Of course, Rollins did this knowing it’d upset SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. The pair have bickered back and forth before about who is really “The Man” of WWE.

In his Tweet, Rollins took a jab at Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Daniel Bryan for not being a part of the show. He then declared himself “The Man, The Champ” of WWE:

Lynch, who has been on top of her Twitter game as of late, of course, had to respond. She also took a shot at Lesnar, Rousey, and Bryan for not being on the show. “The Irish Lass Kicker” reminded everyone she wasn’t competing due to her broken nose and concussion, before asking what everyone else’s excuse was:

Lynch reacted to the list by writing the following on her official Twitter account, “It’s cool, there’s no ‘they’ – being The Man is my own statement. With Becky Lynch having suffered a concussion and broken nose due to a heavy strike from Nia Jax, fans are eager to know when she will be medically cleared to come back to the ring.

Unfortunately, according to Dave Meltzer, it won’t be anytime soon. He noted, “Yeah, [Becky Lynch is] off of everything. No return date. Well, it’s a concussion. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss are still waiting.”

That one punch from Jax, which took place on the Monday Night Raw before Survivor Series, would deprive the WWE Universe of the hotly anticipated confrontation between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

Nia Jax would receive a raucous negative reaction from the Los Angeles crowd when she made her entrance for the 5 v 5 Women’s Survivor Series clash. She would eventually lead Team Raw to victory, showing off the hand that had hurt Lynch throughout.

Despite not having a projected return date at this time, Becky Lynch has managed to maintain and grow her surge of popularity, using her social media accounts to great effect.

Whether it’s an exchange with Conor McGregor or having to remind the WWE that she is their SmackDown Women’s champion, the Lass Kicker has guaranteed she remains relevant as she strives towards her return.

Becky Lynch Hints At WrestleMania Role For Conor McGregor

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and UFC star Conor McGregor’s interactions on Twitter have taken an interesting turn.

Earlier this week, The Man commented on an article comparing her to the former 2-division UFC Champion. Lynch refuted the notion that she has been “channeling” McGregor as of late. She acknowledged that they have a bond as premiere Irish athletes, but stated that she’d break that bond (and his arm) if they ever got within 2 miles of each other.

McGregor, one of the biggest trash talkers in all of sports, responded with a show of respect. Instead of firing back with tough talk of his own, McGregor told her to call him if she ever needs backup.

Anybody else hear a cash register sound just now? Upping the ante once again, Becky Lynch told Conor McGregor that New York is nice in the spring time, a not-so-subtle reference to WrestleMania 35.

Lynch has trained with Conor McGregor’s team in Ireland before. WWE.com followed Becky around as she trained with the famed-coach John Kavanagh, during a WWE trip to Dublin in 2017.

“(Conor) would absolutely be a success. He is WWE,” Lynch told Newshub earlier this year. “A lot of his influence, a lot of his popularity and success is from taking elements of pro-wrestling and putting them into his UFC character and persona you see.”

Don’t tell Becky Lynch that she is channeling her inner “Conor McGregor”. The Man isn’t channeling anyone and she wants to make sure people know.

Lynch responded to an article by Apple News earlier today, refuting that she is doing a Conor McGregor impersonation.

“The Man channels no one. & me are bonded as Irish brother & sister. But if I ever got within 2 miles of him I’d break that bond, and his arm, in three short seconds.
I’d be too tempting; he’d completely understand too. Proper12 after.”

In 2016, Lynch responded to Conor McGregor’s early retirement claims by inviting him to join her in WWE.

Later that year, Becky beat Conor out for an Irish sportsperson of the year award and she made sure to let Conor know about it:

The radio station then offered up the following post to explain their decision to pick Becky over Conor:

Earlier this year, however, Becky Lynch said she believes Conor McGregor would be a big success if he ever came to WWE.

“He would absolutely be a success. He is WWE,” Lynch told Newshub. “A lot of his influence, a lot of his popularity and success is from taking elements of pro-wrestling and putting them into his UFC character and persona you see.”

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently shared a photo on her official Instagram account of herself getting concussion treatment. She suffered a concussion and broken nose when being punched by Nia Jax on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW during the invasion angle.

As a result, she was pulled from her champion vs. champion match against Ronda Rousey at the Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network. She posted the photo with the following caption, “This is me right now trying to get out of doctor jail so I can remind some people exactly who I am.”

Becky Lynch Owns WWE Over Error In Social Media Post

WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is keeping WWE’s social media department on their toes. She recently pointed out one mistake that was sent out to their followers on Twitter.

As seen in the Twitter post, Lynch pointed out that WWE wrote, “This Champion vs. Champion match got way more intense than we thought.” Obviously, that is a mistake.

Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair took on RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in the co-headliner of Survivor Series pay-per-view event in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center on the WWE Network. Rousey ended up winning the non-title match by DQ.

Originally, Lynch was supposed to face Rousey. However, that got nixed once she was involved in a brawl on last week’s RAW that saw Nia Jax punch her in the face. As a result, she suffered a broken nose and concussion. This led to WWE officials making the call to pull Lynch from her scheduled champion vs. champion match.

Lynch pointed out the error made by the company when she wrote, “As much as you’d love it not to be the case, I am the champion, The Man, the one you didn’t plan for – and nothing makes me happier.”
