Ronda Rousey Releases Statement, Scheduled to Appear on Monday Night Raw

Ronda Rousey left Survivor Series on Sunday night covered in blood and bruises but that won’t stop her from making an appearance on Monday Night Raw this week.

The reigning Raw women’s champion engaged in a brutal match against Charlotte Flair at Survivor series that ended in a disqualification.

During the match, Flair hit Rousey with a kendo stick and then continued the assault inside the ring. When the match was finally over, Rousey made her way backstage but the injuries she suffered during the showdown with Flair looked all too real.

Early in the match, Rousey was seen bleeding from the mouth and once it was over, she was covered in scratches, bumps and bruises.

Rousey then released a photo on her website showing some of the injuries she suffered while promising that she would be appearing on Monday Night Raw to address what happened.

“I refused to let the doctor see me until they promised to clear me for RAW today, I said I would go home and glue it shut if I had to,” Rousey said. “They took a quick look and said I can either stitch it shut or glue it so I decided to glue it and I will be on RAW tonight!”

Rousey was originally scheduled to meet Becky Lynch in a crossover match between Raw and Smackdown Live but that was scrapped just days ahead of Survivor Series.

Lynch also suffered some very real injuries including a broken nose and a concussion after she caught a punch from Nia Jax during an angle on Monday Night Raw last week.

The highly anticipated showdown between Rousey and Lynch was postponed with Flair stepping into replace the Smackdown women’s champion.

It definitely seems like WWE is building towards an epic rematch between Rousey and Flair somewhere down the road. Rumors have been swirling for days that Rousey may not end up encountering Lynch until WrestleMania for what could be a potential headlining match.

  • Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch Feud Likely To Continue

Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch Feud Likely To Continue

On last week’s episode of SmackDown Live, it looked as though WWE laid the feud between SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to bed. Instead, the feud will likely continue after recent social media action from both women. Lynch was initially scheduled to face Ronda Rousey at last night’s Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV).

However, Lynch suffered a broken nose on Monday Night Raw during a brawl segment and was not fit to compete. On SDL, the decision was made to replace Lynch with Flair. In a segment, Lynch hand-selected Flair to serve as her replacement against Rousey, before hugging. After that, many believed the feud between the former best friends was over.

At Survivor Series, Flair lost her match to Rousey after getting herself disqualified. Flair attacked Rousey with a kendo stick, before crushing her neck with a steel chair. “The Queen” then took to Twitter and made some adjustments to her Twitter bio. It looks like Flair is now dubbing herself as “The Baddest Bitch on the Planet.”:

Lynch responded by making a change to her Twitter bio, seemingly taking a shot at Flair for her own bio change:

Do you think Lynch and Flair’s feud should continue?

Becky Lynch Roasts Chris Jericho On Twitter

SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has shown once again you don’t want to tangle with her on social media.

At Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair had a stellar match that solidified once again that women are more than capable of headlining WrestleMania. Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has taken notice of the Women’s Revolution. He congratulated the company for making women’s wrestling the hottest thing around, but Becky Lynch replied that she is the one that deserves that credit.

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1064529989440339969

Jericho gave Lynch credit for contributing to the success of WWE’s women’s divisions, but in a backhanded way. He mentioned that Nia Jax also deserves some credit for breaking Lynch’s face. The Irish Superstar did not take kindly to that remark and took a dig at Jericho’s metal band, Fozzy.

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1064570639342886912

As we noted last week, Jericho’s band Fozzy will be opening for Iron Maiden next summer in Los Angeles.

The replies to Becky Lynch’s burn indicate Jericho should probably just move on and reconsider taking another dig at the Irish Superstar.

Chis Jericho: Nia Jax’s Punch To Becky Lynch Looked “Legitimate, Deliberate”

On Friday’s Talk Is Jericho, Chris Jericho stated that the punch from Nia Jax that led to Becky Lynch’s broken face looked “legitimate [and], deliberate.”

To provide some context, Jericho was previewing Sunday’s Survivor Series card with co-hosts Jack Slade and John Howarth.

In discussing the switch from Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey to Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair, Jericho recounted the circumstances that forced the match to be changed.

“You know, stuff happens. If you see the punch that she took, oh my gosh, it didn’t look like a potato,” Jericho said. “It looked like a legitimate, deliberate punch to the face.”

“But, whatever, we’ll hold off judgment on that,” Jericho was quick to add.

Jericho also had some fun with the way that Lynch’s injury has been described.

“Becky got stiffed, st-izz-iffed, by Nia Jax, and they said she broke her face,” Jericho said. “Has anyone went to the doctor and been diagnosed with a broken face? Wouldn’t it be, like, a broken orbital bone?”

For the full context of Jericho’s comments, as well as the rest of his thoughts on Survivor Series, you can listen to the full episode of Talk Is Jericho below.

Edge Discusses Possibility Of In-Ring Return, WWE Stars He Likes

Even though Hall of Famer Edge has retired from professional wrestling since 2011, he has been part of the WWE in one way or another, particularly with his podcast E&C Pod of Awesomeness. Recently he discussed the possibility of himself making an in-ring return and which current WWE superstars has caught his eye.

Speaking to The New York Post, Edge revealed what he thinks his comeback to the ring would look like. Since Shawn Michaels came out of retirement recently, Edge was asked whether he thinks of making a return at his age.

“Ah no. (Laugh.) Well, here’s the thing: People as much as they want it, it’s not going to be what they want. It’s very rare. Especially when you get performers into their 40s and 50s, it’s not an easy job. It’s a very, very difficult thing physically.”

“I personally think your body isn’t meant to do it past 40 years old. It’s just a really, really physically demanding, taxing thing. And I know people hop in and they do one-offs here and there, but I just think it’s a matter of time before eventually they are going to get hit with some kind of injury bullet, because it’s not normal to do to your body, especially once you start getting up in middle age.”

Edge also thinks that former WWE Champion AJ Styles and IC Champion Seth Rollins could have a classic match with him, but it simply isn’t possible anymore for him.

“So, hey, do I know A.J. Styles and I could have an amazing match, Seth Rollins and I could tear it down and have a classic, yeah, if it were me at 35, not me at 45. And not me at 45 not having stepped in a ring for eight years.”

Edge made his debut in the WWE in 1997 and went on to hold 31 championships in his decorated career in the company. He retired in April of 2011 due to cervical spinal stenosis as he was deemed unclear to ever compete. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2012.

The Rated R Superstar also discussed about the current WWE stars Becky Lynch and Drew McIntyre who have grabbed his attention.

“I’ve been kind of touting Becky for a while, just from the kind of organic reaction she’s gotten from the audience. They want her as the focal point of the division, and it was very, very obvious and thankfully they listened and kind of allowed it to happen, which is real cool and fun to watch.

I really like watching McIntyre right now. I think he reinvented himself. I’ve always really liked Drew and it’s great to see him come back with the right mentality and get this opportunity because he’s has that right mentality.”

Video Of Becky Lynch Learning She’s Not Cleared For Survivor Series Match

WWE’s YouTube channel has released some compelling behind-the-scenes look at SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch while backstage at this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in St. Louis, MO at the Enterprise Center that later aired on the USA Network.

It’s been a rough week for Lynch regarding everything that she’s gone through. First up, she led the women’s division of the blue brand in an invasion on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Kansas City, MO at the Sprint Center. This is where she was involved in a brawl that saw Nia Jax punch her in the face. As a result, she suffered a broken nose and concussion. This led to WWE officials making the call to pull Lynch from her scheduled champion vs. champion match against RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

It was also revealed that her replacement would be Charlotte Flair who will now face Rousey in a non-title match at Survivor Series. Lynch picked Flair during an in-ring segment.

This footage includes her first reaction to finding out the news after having a closed-door meeting with WWE officials and medical staff in which she was informed she wasn’t being allowed to compete on Sunday. You can check it out here.

  • Mick Foley Comments On Becky Lynch Using “The Man” Moniker

Mick Foley Comments On Becky Lynch Using “The Man” Moniker

SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has been WWE’s hottest star in recent weeks. Her skyrocket to stardom begun at SummerSlam when she turned heel on Charlotte Flair. Since, Lynch has begun calling herself “The Man” on WWE TV. “The Irish Lasskicker” even got into a Twitter back-and-forth with Seth Rollins over who was really “The Man” of WWE.

WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley has been very impressed with Lynch as of late, going as far to compare her to Stone Cold Steve Austin, in regards to coming up with a memorable catchphrase. Foley said that Lynch’s innovation of “The Man” reminds him of Austin’s “3:16” gimmick:

“To me, it’s like an Austin 3:16 moment, but Becky Lynch is #TheMan,” Foley said. “She came up with the catchphrase. She didn’t use the hashtag, but I told her that she has to use it everywhere she goes, you are now ‘The Man.’”

Foley also said that Lynch calling herself “The Man” throws gender “on its head.” He believes that even men themselves will be okay with acknowledging Lynch is, in fact, “The Man” in WWE:

“It throws gender on its head, and women will be more than happy to say that Becky Lynch is The Man. I think men will gladly say that she is The Man,” Foley said. “It is a bigger statement. It somehow makes perfect sense. I am on board. I believe wholeheartedly that she is The Man.”

  • Becky Lynch On What It Means To Be The Man

Becky Lynch On What It Means To Be The Man

The SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently gave an interview to PinkNews.co.uk while promoting this Sunday’s Survivor Series PPV.

During the interview, the former NXT Star talked about gender equality in WWE and how an openly gay star can also become a top star and main event shows in the company.

While discussing her claim of being the man of the WWE roster, the current Champion said that it’s a testament to the fact that she is the hottest act in WWE:

“It’s walking into the locker room—the male locker room—it’s like, ‘Sorry, lads, none of you are cutting the mustard. I’m the man now. I’m taking over the ship now,” says the champion.”

Continuing on the topic, Lynch explained that she has won the most matches among all superstars in both the Blue and Red roster in 2018. Therefore she is the man of not just the women’s locker room but also the men’s locker room.

Becky was originally expected to face Ronda Rousey at the upcoming PPV but she was injured during the SmackDown invasion angle on Raw this week.

This bout was nixed due to her injury but interestingly, now there are talks of Becky Lynch possibly facing Ronda in the main event of WrestleMania next year.

  • Jim Ross: Becky Lynch’s Broken Face Will Only Make Her More Popular

Jim Ross: Becky Lynch’s Broken Face Will Only Make Her More Popular

Becky Lynch has become arguably the hottest act in WWE. Even her recent injury, described on Smackdown as a “broken face” sustained at the hands of Nia Jax on Raw this week, has added to her aura.

The sight of Becky Lynch standing in the crowd with a bloody face Monday is already becoming an iconic image. It’s one that likely will be used in WWE video packages for years to come. WWE Hall-of-Famer, Jim Ross, agrees.

Jim Ross on Becky Lynch’s Injury

And as he stated on The Jim Ross Report this week, he thinks Lynch’s injury could serve as a blessing in disguise.

“I believe that this injury could help propel her, and get her over even more,” Ross said. “I think when it’s all said and done, people are now going to have some empathy for her in an organic and natural way.”

Ross expounded on that thought, drawing parallels between Becky Lynch and arguably the biggest star in WWE history. Ross feels Becky has much in common with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

“It’s how Austin and every top star got over,” Ross continued. “Their audience made an emotional investment in their persona, and they became very loyal to that persona.”

  • Becky Lynch Rips Ronda Rousey with Savage Response Referencing Her UFC Career

Becky Lynch Rips Ronda Rousey with Savage Response Referencing Her UFC Career

Becky Lynch won’t get to face Ronda Rousey this Sunday at Survivor Series but the reigning WWE Smackdown women’s champion may have just won the war of words.

In promotion of their upcoming match, Lynch and Rousey had been trading barbs over social media for the past couple of weeks until it was determined the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ would be unable to compete due to injuries suffered during a segment on Monday Night Raw this past week.

Lynch caught a punch from Nia Jax that left her with a broken nose and a concussion, which ruled her out of the match against Rousey on Sunday. Charlotte Flair will now take her place but Lynch still had her fangs out on Wednesday when exchanging messages with Rousey over Twitter.

Rousey unleashed a message of her own earlier in the day along with a quote from fellow UFC veteran Nate Diaz that said ‘if you can’t make it to war, you lose the war, you ain’t bout this life’.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BqKm30RngrI/?utm_source=ig_twitter_share&igshid=15nq84w9e9fzt

Lynch then returned fire with a savage response that referenced Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm in the UFC where she suffered a brutal second round head kick knockout and then largely disappeared for the next year until she booked her next fight.

“Ronnie, TL/DR. When I got my face broke I got up, owned you THEN showed up the next day looking to fight some more,” Lynch wrote on Twitter. “When you got your face broke you hid for a year under your blankie. Your mind is as weak as your jaw and I’m going to move heaven & Earth to come destroy them both.”

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062799029325778944

A lot of mixed martial arts fans had wondered if WWE would ever blur the lines between fiction and reality when it came to Rousey’s fight career, especially considering the way it ended with back-to-back knockout losses.

It appears the gloves are off now with Lynch taking a direct shot at Rousey following her knockout loss to Holm in 2015.

All of this back and forth should only serve to further hype the ongoing rivalry between the two women’s wrestlers, especially when Lynch is able to compete again.

  • Becky Lynch Responds To Nia Jax

Becky Lynch Responds To Nia Jax

It’s been a particularly eventful last few days in wrestling. In another update to this ongoing saga, Becky Lynch has just sent a message to Nia Jax on Twitter. Her comments were made in response to a post of Nia’s from earlier today.

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062753374443978752

“You gave me your best sucker punch, but I got back up to destroy your whole roster. They won’t let me fight, but I’ll get back up from that too. It’s what I do. So enjoy your one free shot, because as bad as my memory is now, I haven’t forgotten you, bitch.”

A Quick Recap Of Today’s Events

A lot has happened today so a quick review might be in order.

First, Rousey blasted Becky for pulling out of their match on Sunday.

“Unfortunately, now everyone knows if someone hauls off and punches you for real, your face implodes,” Rousey wrote. “I suggest you keep practicing your tough guy’s faces in the mirror, should be very effective physical therapy.

It’s perhaps a little odd that Rousey pointed out people don’t get punched for real in WWE during a kayfabe style post but that’s wrestling.

Then there were reports from backstage that Nia Jax has heat with the roster for what happened.

Nia then posted the following to Twitter:

    https://twitter.com/NiaJaxWWE/status/1062738524347289601?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1062738524347289601&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fs46315.p1736.sites.pressdns.com%2Fjax-breaks-silence-injuring-lynch%2F

Becky then issued the response referenced at the beginning of this article.

Nia Jax Breaks Silence On Injuring Becky Lynch

Nia Jax has received a lot of heat, both backstage and from fans, for what transpired Monday. Jax injured SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch during a brawl segment on RAW. Jax hit Lynch with a hard punch that broke the Irishwoman’s nose, forcing her off this weekend’s Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV).

Lynch was initially scheduled to face RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey due to the Champion vs. Champion format of the PPV. With Lynch now off the card due to injury, Charlotte Flair will face Rousey at Survivor Series instead. Jax has been taking a lot of heat online from fans since she injured Lynch.

Jax posted an advertisement for a meet-and-greet she’ll be holding on Friday. In the comments, however, fans are trashing the former RAW Women’s Champion for injuring Lynch:

    https://twitter.com/NiaJaxWWE/status/1062427500045836289

Earlier this morning, Jax took to Twitter to address the situation. She posted a photo of her cut and bruised fist with the caption, “Hey…we don’t deliver mail, things happen. Is anyone gonna ask me about how my fist feels?”

The controversy surrounding Jax injuring Lynch has sparked tons of discussions online. Even former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback recently unloaded on F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez for critiquing Jax. It will be interesting to see how the situation plays out moving forward.

  • Nia Jax Reportedly Has Heat Backstage After Injuring Becky Lynch

Nia Jax Reportedly Has Heat Backstage After Injuring Becky Lynch

This has been a huge week for professional wrestling, as we approach Survivor Series from Los Angeles this weekend. The week started off with a tremendous women’s locker room brawl to hype this weekend’s pay-per-view (PPV) on Monday Night RAW. Unfortunately, that braw resulted in the injury of Becky Lynch, who is now off the Survivor Series card, canceling the event’s most highly-anticipated match.

The SmackDown Live Women’s Champion kicked off the segment by attacking RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey backstage. She then came to the ring to lead an attack on the RAW Women’s locker room, alongside her fellow SmackDown Live stars. However, during the brawl, Nia Jax hit Lynch with a hard shot that broke ner nose. Lynch continued on with the segment despite bleeding all over herself.

It was soon determined that the injury was significant enough to pull Lynch from her match with Rousey on Sunday. Now, Rousey will face Charlotte Flair, who was hand-selected by Lynch as her replacement, instead. With one of the most anticipated matches of the year being called off due to injury, Jax has apparently taken some heat backstage for the incident.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, who initially broke the story of Lynch’s injury, has provided some insight. Initially, there wasn’t any heat towards Jacks for busting Lynch open. However, after the severity of the injury was determined, that quickly changed:

What do you think about Jax reportedly having heat backstage for injuring Lynch?

Ronda Rousey Blasts Becky Lynch For Pulling Out Of Their Match

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey has posted a scathing statement aimed at Becky Lynch, who was forced to pull out of their scheduled match at Survivor Series due to injury.

Anticipation surrounding their match peaked on Monday night, with Lynch attacking Rousey at Raw during SmackDown’s invasion of the red brand. Unfortunately, Nia Jax broke Lynch’s face during the melee and the The Man has not been medically cleared to wrestle this Sunday. Rousey will now battle Charlotte Flair, but she’s blasting Lynch for “not showing up for her legally arranged ass whopping.”

Rousey posted a message on Instagram, which you can read below. Rousey embedded this tweet from UFC legend Nate Diaz to accompany her pointed message towards Lynch.

Ronda Rousey’s Message to Becky Lynch

Rousey posted the following message on Instagram:

@Beckylynchwwe I’m really sorry to hear The Millennial Man will not be showing up for her legally arranged ass whooping on November 18th at the  Staples Center.

Unfortunately now everyone knows if someone hauls off and punches you for real, your face implodes. I suggest you keep practicing your tough guys faces in the mirror, should be very effective physical therapy.

And have fun watching Korean soap operas on Netflix or whatever the hell the Millennial Man does with her free time. “I saw blood on Dana’s face so I stopped from hitting her & also was being told to get a doctor and ref because of what just had happened to Becky. We are out there fighting to win but not out there to legitimately hurt one another.”

Raw vs Smackdown Melee and Becky Lynch’s “Broken Face”

WWE reported that Becky Lynch suffered a concussion and broken face during the melee as a result of a punch from Nia Jax. Upon researching, facial fractures are a legitimate medical diagnosis and refer to any broken bone in the face. Unlike other bones, however, facial breaks are said to heal much quicker and return to normal in weeks as opposed to months. The more serious condition Becky is dealing with is her concussion.

WWE is cautious with concussion injuries, which have also sidelined Alexa Bliss for the time being. Bliss is reportedly being sidelined at the moment due to suffering multiple concussions in a short span of time.

  • Update On Becky Lynch Being Pulled from Survivor Series

Update On Becky Lynch Being Pulled from Survivor Series

One of the most anticipated matches at this Sunday’s Survivor Series is apparently no longer happening.

WWE Smackdown women’s champion Becky Lynch has reportedly been pulled from the card after suffering a concussion and possibly a broken nose during a segment on Monday Night Raw that was meant to build the anticipation towards her upcoming match against Ronda Rousey.

Fightful initially reported that Lynch was being pulled from the match and Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer later confirmed the report that the ‘Irish Lass Kicker’ was officially out of the showdown against Rousey.

There’s no doubt that Lynch vs. Rousey was one of the most highly anticipated matches taking place this Sunday as the Raw and Smackdown brands go up against each other at Survivor Series.

Lynch suffered her injury when the women’s stars from Smackdown Live ‘invaded’ Monday Night Raw and engaged in a brawl towards the end of the show.

It was a punch from Nia Jax that floored Lynch during the melee and when she got up from the canvas, her faced was smeared with blood but she kept going throughout the segment.

At the end of the show, Lynch stared back down at the ring — her face and hands covered in blood — as she locked eyes with Rousey in the waning moments of the episode.

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062395955511808002

Unfortunately it appears the accidental punch will cost Lynch a high profile match against Rousey but the good news is this only serves to further build the budding rivalry that was growing between the two women’s superstars.

Lynch has been on an upward trajectory for months ever since she was involved in a feud with Charlotte Flair that ended with her becoming champion and the retaining the title in several epic matches.

While it appears Lynch won’t be wrestling at Survivor Series, it likely sets up an even bigger match down the road when she finally gets the opportunity to clash with Rousey in the ring.

In what could be a major blow to a hot angle, Becky Lynch has reportedly suffered a concussion and could miss Survivor Series. Fightful is reporting they have been informed Becky Lynch has suffered a mild concussion and has been pulled from Sunday’s match against Ronda Rousey.

“I’m waiting to hear from WWE officially, but I was told she’s not cleared right now for competition,” noted Dave Meltzer. “Fightful story is probably accurate but all we’ve heard is bout in jeopardy.”

WWE has yet to comment on the situation. If Lynch has been pulled from the show, they will need to address it tonight on Smackdown.

Becky Lynch Suffered A Concussion On Raw?

Lynch was busted open during the Raw vs Smackdown women’s roster melee to close out Raw last night. There are reports she may have taken an elbow to the nose from Nia Jax, however we cannot confirm that is what caused her injury.

WWE social media has been promoting the Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey Survivor Series match all day, however. They posted the following video of Lynch chewing out a reporter for wearing a Ronda Rousey jacket into an interview:

“I don’t know if you know this,” Lynch started. “Or if you’ve done any work coming into this interview, to interview the champ but I actually have a big match against Ronda Rousey. I think it’s a little bit disrespectful and unprofessional to come in wearing a Ronda Rousey jacket. So if you actually want to do this interview maybe go out there, take your jacket off and come back in.”

  • The 3 Count: Becky Lynch 3:16

The 3 Count: Becky Lynch 3:16

Welcome back to The 3 Count. Last week I discussed Tetsuya Naito and the two ‘mystery men’ that WWE were reportedly looking to sign from NJPW. Every week I will be looking at the hot topic in pro wrestling, this could be WWE or otherwise. This week’s topic should really come as no surprise…it’s The Man, Becky Lynch.

    Straight Fire

Becky refers to herself as ‘straight fire,’ now she appears to be setting the entire company on fire. Last night’s RAW ended with the Irish Lass-kicker standing with a bloody nose goading Ronda Rousey. In terms of anti-hero characters they don’t come with much more hype than Becky has right now.

What led to Becky becoming this phenomenon? The fans always had a soft spot for the Smackdown Live Women’s Champion. Live audiences giving her a fair reception on shows with almost Dean Ambrose in 2014 perfunctory cheers and applause.

    The Underdog

Something that WWE and wrestling fans have in common is the lure of the underdog. We saw this in the build to WrestleMania 30, with Daniel Bryan finally overcoming the odds and main eventing the biggest spectacle in sports entertainment. Could anyone have predicted that Bryan Danielson of ROH fame would even get to WrestleMania? Could anyone have guessed that he would main event the thing? If you would have told me this in 2005 I would’ve laughed you out of the room. Another thing that wrestling fans seem to enjoy is a good anti-hero, the biggest can be seen referenced in the headline of this article.

When WWE decided to have Becky Lynch ‘turn’ on her friend Charlotte Flair and engage in a feud it is doubtful that they would’ve been building to Lynch vs Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series next Sunday, at least in they way it turned out. When Charlotte stole the win over Carmella at Summerslam the seeds were sown for the feud, but WWE went into this thinking that Flair was going to be the fan favourite…how wrong they were.

    Becky Did Nothing Wrong

With WWE pushing Becky Lynch as the antagonist they missed a vital ingredient…Lynch didn’t actually do anything wrong. Fast forward to today and the more that WWE attempted to push Lynch as a vicious heel the more that the audience where drawn to her and got behind the Irish Superstar. Last night’s appearance on RAW solidified Lynch as the ultimate anti-hero, the symbol of a bloodied Lass-kicker in her Smackdown Live shirt on RAW oozed attitude…but let’s not pretend that Becky is just an Austin clone or re-hash. ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch is the perfect attitude and character for 2018’s WWE.

The question is, were WWE extremely tone deaf when it came to the way Lynch was portrayed? Or was this the plan all along, to make the Survivor Series bout a de-facto face vs face match against Rousey? The optimist in me hopes that they had at least somewhat of an idea of Lynch’s popularity, the realist knows that they butchered the push and got extremely lucky.

WWE is now in a very delicate position with Becky. How many times have we seen something completely organic and cool be ruined by the company when they decide to get behind it? Fandangoing, Zack Ryder, Ryback (yes, really)…we all have our own examples. The key here is to just let Becky be Becky and let her natural charisma and vision drive this push, but again the realist in me knows they’ll likely choke all the fun out of it.

How do you think WWE should book Becky Lynch going forward?

Becky Lynch Chews Out Reporter Wearing Ronda Rousey Jacket (Video)

Becky Lynch attacked Ronda Rousey on Raw last night. In 5 days arguably the two hottest acts in wrestling will collide one-on-one at Survivor Series.

Earlier this month the WWE was in the UK. While there, Becky was involved in an altercation during a planned sit-down interview. The reporter arrived wearing a Ronda Rousey jacket and Becky did not take kindly to this.

WWE recently posted video of the altercation to their YouTube channel:

Becky Lynch Offended By Reporter’s Ronda Rousey Jacket

Lynch originally questioned the reporter who noted that her Ronda Rousey sweater was official WWE merchandise.

Lynch will take on Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series in a Champion vs Champion match. Lynch won the title back at Hell in a Cell from Charlotte Flair and defended it successfully against Flair at Evolution.

  • Becky Lynch Responds To Ronda Rousey’s “Millennial” Promo From Raw

Becky Lynch Responds To Ronda Rousey’s “Millennial” Promo From Raw

Becky Lynch has recently responded to Ronda Rousey’s promo from last night on Raw. Rousey took aim at Lynch’s sensitivity and compared her to stereotypes of the millennial generation.

“Becky, you are so hypersensitive,” Rousey said last night. “You aren’t just the man, you are the millennial man. You are the skinny jeans wearing, V-neck sporting, avocado toast munching, winged-shoe wearing, millennial man, with a bubble-wrapped ego and a porcelain self-perception. Someone needs to tell the man that I am not Charlotte Flair, Raw is not Smackdown, and being offended doesn’t make you right.”

Becky has since offered up the following response on Twitter:

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062395955511808002

“When you’re babbling on about avocados, I’m main-eventing my show AND your show. Did you hear that last night, Ronda? That’s the sound they make when The Man comes around.”

Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series

For the second year in a row, WWE will run a Champions vs Champions theme at Survivor Series. To a casual observer, this would seem like the biggest night of the year for WWE as it would determine the best of the best. Last year, Charlotte Flair defeated Alexa Bliss in the women’s Champion vs Champion match, arguably making her the top woman wrestler in WWE of the year in storyline.

    Smackdown Live! 11/13 Preview

Tonight’s episode of Smackdown will emanate from the  Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO. It will be the go-home show for Sunday’s Survivor Series.

    Smackdown 11/13 Preview

No matches have been confirmed thus far for Smackdown. Normally, there are at least 2 confirmed matches but tonight the show appears to be a bit more open-ended. Much like Raw sometimes is, tonight will all be matches which were not announced ahead of time.

4 segments have been confirmed, however.

    Reaction To Becky Lynch’s Invasion

Becky Lynch invaded Raw last night to get at Ronda Rousey before Sunday. Shortly after, the entire Smackdown women’s team (with a few others) hit the ring for a pre-Survivor Series Raw vs Smackdown melee.

Will the Raw roster show up in St. Louis like the Smackdown roster did last night?

Can Daniel Bryan and the Miz Get On The Same Page?

Daniel Bryan and the Miz are co-captains of the Smackdown men’s Survivor Series team. Last week, the two longtime rivals actually started to get along as they named Shane McMahon, Rey Mysterio, and Samoa Joe as their 3 teammates. Tonight, we’ll find out if Miz and Bryan can continue to put their differences aside for the sake of brand superiority.

Will Charlotte Flair Captain Team Smackdown?

Last week on Smackdown, Charlotte Flair did not come out for the introductions of Team Smackdown. This allowed Mandy Rose to get some promo time as she ran down the rest of the team. Flair was involved in the Smackdown vs Raw melee to close out Raw last night, however. Does that mean Charlotte has reconsidered and will be on the team? We’ll likely find out tonight.

Smackdown Tag-Team Division Finalizes Survivor Series Team

Last week, the Usos defeated the New Day to earn the captaincy for their team on Sunday. They quickly picked New Day as the first confirmed members of their team. Tonight, we will find out who will join them on the Smackdown tag-team Survivor Series team.

  • Becky Lynch Has Perfect Response To Getting Busted Open

Becky Lynch Has Perfect Response To Getting Busted Open

The ending of last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw was an explosive way to lead us into this Sunday’s Survivor Series event.

With Becky Lynch leading the fray, attacking Ronda Rousey backstage and locking her in her Dis-Arm-Her submission, Lynch would strut out onto Raw to confront the Women’s Raw Survivor Team.

    However, she didn’t come alone.

Even with Rousey making her way out to assist the Raw roster, the SmackDown invaders were able to rally, with Lynch attacking an injured Rousey with a steel chair before leaving the ring bloodied, courtesy of a broken nose.

In response to this, The Lass Kicker took to Twitter with an awesome reaction to the blood masking her face:

    https://twitter.com/BeckyLynchWWE/status/1062231777253748736

With both women coming off major wins in recent events, they both have a wave of momentum behind them coming into Survivor Series. They also seem to have the fans attention firmly affixed on the outcome of their champion-versus-champion clash.

Becky’s brazen attack and proud display of her “Irish war paint” only add to the feud that has developed between the two women, and further propels Lynch as a top star within the company — one that has been compared numerous times to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

With this brash attitude, disregard to injury, and anti-hero persona, it’s hard to argue against.

  • Twitterati Reacts To Becky Lynch-Led SmackDown Invasion of Raw

Twitterati Reacts To Becky Lynch-Led SmackDown Invasion of Raw

Becky Lynch and the rest of the SmackDown women’s roster invaded Raw last night as Survivor Series is just around the corner.

Becky Lynch first surprise attacked Ronda Rousey backstage with the Disarmher after Alexa Bliss had announced the five members of the Raw Survivor Series team.

Led by Lynch, the entire SmackDown women’s roster attacked the Raw women’s team in the ring. Ronda Rousey attempted to rescue her Raw colleagues but she apparently had too much damage done to her arm by Lynch earlier, and was unable to do much. She was attacked by Lynch again but with a steel chair this time.

During the chaos, Becky had her nose busted open. Her face was pretty much bloodied from the damage.

She proved that she really is The Man and the entire segment was much more impressive because of her. Seeing Becky smiling after destroying the Raw team without even caring about her half-bloody face was surely the moment of the episode for many.

WWE Superstars and Hall of Famers reacted to the invasion segment with much praise for The Irish Lass Kicker.
