Smackdown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, has arguably the biggest match of her life coming up. At Survivor Series 2018, Lynch will go one-on-one with Ronda Rousey. She spent some time on Twitter recently taking a shot at one of Rousey’s former rivals, Alexa Bliss, however.
Bliss posted a note on Twitter regarding her cosplay hobby which got Lynch’s attention:
In the early days of this brand-extension back in 2016, Lynch and Bliss faced each other often on Smackdown. From August 9th, 2016 to February 21st, 2017 they met each other 10x in single’s action. They haven’t faced each other in a single’s match since. Lynch leads the series 6-4. Bliss won the Smackdown Women’s Championship twice from Lynch while Lynch successfully defended the title against her once.
They have been in 3 multi-person matches together. Lynch won 6-Pack Challenge for the inaugural title in a match which also involved Bliss at Backlash 2016. Bliss won the 2018 Money in the Bank match which also involved Lynch. The other multi-person match they were both in was another 6-Pack Challenge at WrestleMania 33 which was won by Naomi.
Both SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey were successful in defending their championships at the Evolution PPV.
After the show WWE announced that these two will now face each other at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV and posted a confrontation video too, but it appears that they originally had a different plan for the angle.
After last night’s Evolution PPV concluded, WWE.com published an article announcing their upcoming match. Interestingly, this press release mentioned a physical altercation between the two, that never took place:
“However, the Rowdy titleholder’s celebration was short-lived; just moments after she and Becky stood triumphantly side-by-side along with the rest of the female Superstars in the culmination of the monumental event, The Irish Lass Kicker unleashed a vicious assault on her fellow champion backstage.”
It’s unclear whether this altercation was expected to happen during the closing segment of Evolution where all women came up on the stage or during the after show interview where Becky confronted the former UFC Star:
Though this article makes it seem like the altercation was nixed at the last minute. Since we know Vince McMahon was running the show from gorrilla position, it’s possible that he made the decision on the fly.
Becky Lynch will now face Ronda Rousey in a one on one match at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on November 18th.
The first match has been announced for the upcoming WWE Survivor Series PPV.
As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Charlotte, NC at the Spectrum Center on the USA Network, WWE revealed that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch would take on RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in a champion vs. champion match at this event.
As seen at Sunday’s (October 28, 2018) WWE Evolution pay-per-view event in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network, Rousey beat Nikki Bella to retain the RAW Women’s Title in the main event of this first-ever all-women’s event. On the flip side, Lynch retained her SmackDown Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match, which served as the co-headliner.
WWE presents the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center that will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. This show is considered one out of the big four events for the company throughout the year along with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.

The Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair program may have not gone how WWE intended but it is still arguably the most talked about rivalry in the company at the moment. Last night at Evolution, Lynch retained the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Charlotte in a Last Woman Standing match.
Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair Rivalry Statistics
Sunday was the 6th time Flair and Lynch have wrestled each other in single’s competition on WWE programming. Lynch has a 4-1-1 record against her rival. Her only loss was by way of DQ meaning Charlotte has never pinned or made Lynch tap.

They have only been on opposing sides of a tag-team match once. That was at the 2016 Survivor Series match when Lynch was on the Smackdown team and Charlotte was on Raw. Flair’s team from Raw won the match.
Becky Lynch retained the Smackdown Women’s Championship last night at Evolution. She defeated Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match. Ronda Rousey’s victory over Nikki Bella for the Raw Women’s Championship closed the show, however. This morning, Lynch took a shot at Ronda “following” her performance later on Twitter.
If Survivor Series this year follows the same pattern as in previous years, the Raw Women’s Champion would face the Smackdown Women’s Champion on the show. There has been some speculation that this is not what will happen this year, however, at least for the women’s champions, anyway. If this is the case though, it means Becky Lynch would face Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series. Last year, Charlotte Flair defeated Alexa Bliss in the Raw vs Smackdown Women’s Champion vs Champion match.
Lynch told media this summer that she feels her armbar is actually better than Ronda’s.
“Here’s why. Her’s is of course — have you been in a straight armbar before? Very painful. Very painful, it will snap your arm,” Lynch said to In This Corner. “But from my location, I can snap your arm, and choke you out with my leg at the same time. It’s a double whammy.”
Tomorrow night (Sun. October 28, 2018) SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will defend her title against Charlotte Flair. The two bitter rivals will go head-to-head in a Last Woman Standing match for the strap. Ahead of their contest, Lynch participated in an “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit.
Despite currently being in a feud with Flair, Lynch was asked about a possible program with current RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey. Lynch likes the idea of getting the chance to punch “The Rowdy One” in the jaw:
“Ronda’s jaw is always running but my fist is itching to catch up with her. Charlotte first, and then I’ll plan my next move. But I’ve said it before: Ronda reminds me of a slot machine — the harder you kick her, the more money falls out.”
Lynch was then asked about a possible intergender match in WWE. The trend has been very popular in the indy professional wrestling community as of late. While it’s highly unlikely WWE picks up on it, Lynch knows who she’d like to share the ring with if given the opportunity:
“Seth Rollins.”
What do you think about Lynch wanting a feud with Rousey, and a match with Rollins?
This Sunday at WWE Evolution, Becky Lynch puts the SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match. Their feud has been one of the highlights of WWE television over the past several weeks and Lynch is starting to come into her own as a heel character. Fans are beginning to accept Becky as a villain, but she’s been an underdog fan favorite for so long that getting people to boo her has not been an easy task.
During an episode of Busted Open Radio this week, co-host Bully Ray pitched a pretty clever idea about how WWE should book the finish of this match. He suggests that WWE should utilize Ric Flair in a way that would all-but-guarantee a negative reaction for the Irish Superstar.
“So, remember last week how we were talking about how can you possibly get heat on Becky Lynch?” Bully Ray posed. “We were saying you have to do something drastic, and probably the only person you can utilize in this whole situation would be a feeble Ric Flair.”
“Alright, so what if at Evolution, in the ‘Last Woman Standing’ match, something really, really bad happened to Charlotte at the end of the match. Let’s just say … and I know this is not going to happen … let’s just say Charlotte was bleeding. Let’s just say Charlotte was busted open. Let’s just say Charlotte was in a really bad predicament, and [Ric] Flair came out … ‘Naitch came out because he was really concerned about his daughter. He didn’t put his hands on her, he didn’t try to help her up, he didn’t get involved in the match in any way, shape or form.”
Bully Ray continued, “But as he’s walking over to his daughter, he were to trip and fall and take a bump. Then we saw him clutching or hurting or something happened. What if Becky Lynch were to take a chair and stand over Ric Flair, threatening to cave his head in unless Charlotte stayed down for the ten count. How would you feel about that?”
Threatening physical harm against Ric Flair (who is shielding his daughter from harm) would be a despicable move by the champion. Even Becky Lynch fans would question if she’s going too far to score a victory. Sounds like great storytelling to us.
Becky ‘Balboa’ appeared on Busted Open earlier today (Friday). We will have a report up soon.
Catch Busted Open on SiriusXM satellite radio weekday mornings from 9am-12pm EST on channel Rush 93.
WWE Evolution is this weekend, and with it comes speculation about the long-rumored WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Sasha Banks are among the women who have discussed the possibility of adding tag titles to the women’s division of late.
In her interview with Maria Menounos this week, Banks again spoke on the issue. “We have so many great teams right now. We have the IIconics, Mickie and Fox, Absolution. We have tag matches on Raw every single week. So why not make the titles or belts to defend them?”
The timing of Sasha’s remarks (and other factors cited below) indicate that we might be on the verge of another historic moment for WWE’s female competitors.
Do The Belts Exist?
There has been speculation for months about the addition of tag titles. A reliable source, famed wrestling title belt collector and custom belt maker BeltFanDan, stated that the belts representing the championships were manufactured and ready to go as far back as July.
The new WWE Women's Tag Team Championship belts are done. White straps. Part of Stephanie's announcement on Raw.
Although the belts were not introduced when Dan had originally claimed, he is well-connected and has a proven track record of accurate reporting on championship belts.
That “Leaked Evolution Booking Sheet”
While its authenticity is still in question, the “leaked WWE Evolution booking sheet” that was circulating online a few months ago featured the announcement of WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
More Breadcrumbs
Longtime wrestling podcaster The Solomonster (Jason Solomon) retweeted a fan who was present at the Smackdown tapings this week, where it appeared that WWE was passing out these signs to fans. That would certainly suggest that the plans for the titles are already in place, and that the announcement is imminent.
Becky Lynch has been on fire the past several months. Following her losing effort for the SmackDown Live Women’s Title at SummerSlam, WWE decided to attempt to turn Lynch heel. She attacked Charlotte Flair after she won their SmackDown Live Women’s Title bout. Despite attacking Flair, the WWE Universe has actually begun cheering Lynch, and booing “The Queen.”
“The Irish Lass Kicker” won the SDL Women’s Title at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view (PPV), and has continued her feud with Flair on SmackDown Live. It’s currently one of the hottest feuds on WWE TV right now. Not to mention Lynch’s popularity has really risen. It turns out, she received a key piece of advice from WWE Hall Of Famer Shawn Michaels. This came after they worked together on the film “The Marine 6: Close Quarters.”
Lynch told TV Insider things weren’t going great for her before she left to film “The Marine.” Michales offered her the following words of advice:
“Things weren’t going as well as they are now before I left to shoot. I remember him giving me advice saying, ‘When you go back, go in as a different person. Hold your head a little bit higher.
“Have that attitude that you’re a top star. Go with it. I think this is what I’ve been trying to do since I came back.”
What do you think about the advice “HBK” gave Lynch?
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is slated to make her next title defense against Charlotte Flair in Last Woman Standing match at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event on Sunday in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network.
This has been one of the top feuds to be featured on the blue brand since August at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event where it started once Flair won the title but after the match was attacked by Lynch.
Lynch took to her Twitter account where she mocked the former champion with this photo and caption, “You stabbed me in the back more times than I can remember; I forgave you. Come this Sunday I’ll beat you so bad, you’ll never forgive me.”
Lana, who is set to compete in the battle royal at Evolution, mentioned on Twitter that her official Instagram account has been hacked. She also made it clear that recent messages sent out to her followers were not from her. She wrote the following:
“My instagram has been hacked !!!! Every message you are getting, post or IG story you are seeing in the last 2 hours is a HACKER.”

The wrestling world is still abuzz after Roman Reigns’ emotional speech on Monday Night Raw which saw the Big Dog relinquishing the Universal Championship.
During the latest episode of SmackDown Live, the Usos paid tribute to his brother during their match with AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan, with Jimmy Uso hitting this modified splash off the top turnbuckle:
The Usos went on to win this bout after another miscommunication between their opponents. After the match, the duo dedicated their victory to the Big Dog:
Footage Of Becky Lynch’s Attack On Charlotte Flair
Becky Lynch has been on fire since turning heel. One of the most recent examples of how good she is was the SmackDown Women’s Champion’s attack on Charlotte Flair during her visit to the performance center.
Some photos of this altercation had previously been posted on social media. WWE released the full video footage of Becky’s attack on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live:
Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her Women’s Championship against Charlotte in a Last Women Standing match at Evolution PPV. You can check out the full match card and betting odds for the show here.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch recently took part in a Q&A session with Baltimore Sun to promote this Sunday’s historic Evolution PPV where she talked about a number of things.
Becky first talked about her recent heel turn at the SummerSlam PPV and when asked how the moment was for her, the Champion said that it was incredible to know that the people felt her frustration.
Continuing on the topic, she was asked about all the heelish things she has done since then and if it’s concerning to her that she hasn’t been able to get booed by the fans to which Lynch said that it doesn’t concern her:
“It’s not concerning. They’re reacting and they’re entertained. They’re enjoying the feud. It’s just a matter of what side that they’re on. Some people are on my side and some people are on Charlotte’s side.
I do see it on my Twitter feed and Instagram, that I’m getting a lot more hate as it goes on. But it’s OK, I’m going after what I want. The people that are behind me, they’ll stay behind me. The people that aren’t, well that’s fine. I’ll just go ahead and succeed in spite of them.”
Apart from this, Becky Lynch also talked about possibly competing against the Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series saying that she would love to.
Becky is currently scheduled to defend her Championship against Charlotte Flair in the first ever Last Women Standing match at the upcoming Evolution PPV this Sunday.
Charlotte Flair was visiting the WWE Performance Center this week but as it turns out, her rival Becky Lynch also was in Orlando this weekend. WWE has stated through their social media channels that they are investigating an altercation which took place between the two.
The NXT Twitter account posted the following earlier this morning:
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair Altercation At The WWE Performance Center
Unfortunately, if there is footage of the altercation, WWE has yet to release it. One current NXT wrestler/WWE developmental talent, Donovan Dijak, has called out the person who would be responsible for leaking the footage.
Mulder and Scully were the detectives on the X-Files, in case you didn’t get the reference.
Charlotte Flair was back on the road for WWE’s house shows in Hartford this weekend and has yet to comment on the matter.
The biggest heel of the 2nd Mae Young Classic, Rhea Ripley, was not too impressed with Charlotte’s trip to the Performance Center. The woman who is now on her way to the semi-finals of the MYC due to Tegan Nox’s injury, posted the following in regards to Flair’s visit to the PC.
Becky Lynch spoke to the Baltimore Sun to talk about a wide range of topics including her feud with Charlotte Flair over the SmackDown Women’s Title. This feud all started once Lynch turned on Flair after their triple threat match that also involved Carmella at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event.
Lynch believes that the fans are entertained by it and that it depends on which star they are on the side off. Lynch brought up getting more negative messages from fans on social media as a result of it but that’s okay with her as that is what she was going after.
“The people that are behind me, they’ll stay behind me. The people that aren’t, well that’s fine. I’ll just go ahead and succeed in spite of them.”
Lynch will make her next title defense against Flair in a Last Woman Standing match at the Evolution pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network.
When asked about the show, she stated that it’s amazing as it’s what she envisioned when she came over to WWE and wanted the women to be the coolest thing on TV. “Through everybody’s hard work, past present and future with NXT and the Mae Young Classic, this has been deserved. It’s something that I think the fans are going to really enjoy. They’re going to really enjoy it a whole lot more if the SmackDown women’s champ is main eventing it and walks out with the title.”
– A return to WWE has been rumored for Rey Mysterio since he was a surprise entrant in the 2018 Men’s Royal Rumble Match in January and it will finally happen next week.
WWE announced this week that Mysterio will square off with United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a WWE World Cup Qualifying Match on next Tuesday’s historic 1000th episode of SmackDown LIVE in Washington D.C. Mysterio is advertised to wrestle twice on the show as WWE revealed tonight in an email to those in the D.C. area that he will also compete in a tag team match.
In updated advertising for the event, Mysterio is slated to team with WWE Champion AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan against Randy Orton, The Miz, and Nakamura. A match pitting Styles and Bryan against Samoa Joe and Miz was previously advertised.
WWE also noted in the email that Flair will go one-on-one with SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch (after previously advertising Flair, Asuka, and Naomi vs. Lynch and The IIconics). This is presumably a dark match since they’re scheduled to face off at Evolution in a Last Woman Standing Match.
– After wrestling at WWE Super Show-Down last Saturday in her home country of Australia, Peyton Royce reflected on her long journey from the independents.

Royce also revealed that she would spend thousands of dollars on professional photos hoping it would land her a tryout with WWE.

Royce and fellow Australian Billie Kay beat Naomi and Asuka in a tag team match, with Royce scoring the pin on Naomi.
Becky Lynch Reacts To Stipulation Added To Her Evolution Match
WWE has already announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch would make her next title defense against Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match at the Evolution pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network. Following the announcement of this match, Lynch took to her official Twitter account to write the following on the match:
“Bring on Last Woman Standing. For three years this whole place couldn’t keep me down, you really think Charlotte Flair can?”
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Indianapolis, IN at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse on the USA Network, Jeff Hardy defeated Samoa Joe on to qualify for the WWE World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel.
Following the match, WWE’s YouTube channel released this video of Mike Rome asking Hardy how the recent Hell In a Cell match with Randy Orton changed him, which he responded by stating that it made him realize weakness in his opponents. He pointed out that he saw something was wrong with Joe and advantage of it
Becky Lynch survived two title matches with Charlotte Flair this last week. She’ll have to defend her title against Flair yet again at Evolution, however, this time in a Last Woman Standing match.
Lynch recently revealed she’s been working injured lately as well. She revealed on Twitter recently that she has a cracked jaw.
She is believed to have suffered the injury at Super Show-Down on Saturday in Melbourne, Australia. Last night on Smackdown, Lynch was speared through the stage by Flair following their match being ruled a double count-out.
Becky Lynch in 2018
Becky Lynch has become one of the most talked about Superstars on the WWE roster as of late. While her rivalry with Charlotte Flair hasn’t always gone the way some fans have wanted it to, it’s hard to argue that Lynch is more popular now than she’s ever been.
Unlike many others from her NXT class, Lynch was not a blue-chip prospect when she signed with WWE in 2013. Lynch was already 11 years into her pro-career by that point and had even quit the business once already. Her NXT career didn’t get off to a hot start either. She was given an Irish dancing gimmick which thankfully was abandoned not long after it began. In the following years, however, Lynch would be a key figure in the development of NXT’s women’s division and the subsequent Women’s Revolution/Evolution.
The 999th episode of Smackdown will take place tonight from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Not only will Becky Lynch look to defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship tonight, 2 World Cup Qualifying matches will take place. The Big Show will also wrestle his first match in over a year.
Smackdown 10/9 Preview
Smackdown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs Charlotte Flair
Arguably the most talked about angle in WWE at the moment continues in a big way tonight. Lynch will take on Flair in a rematch from Super Show-Down. This time, however, if Lynch is DQ’ed, Flair wins both the match and the title.
Tonight’s match will be the 5th time the two have met in single’s action on the WWE roster (not including house shows). Lynch is 3W-1L while Charlotte’s only victory against Lynch came on Saturday by way of DQ.
WWE World Cup Qualifying Match
Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe
The WWE World Cup will be an 8-man tournament featuring 4 Superstars from Raw and another 4 from Smackdown. John Cena and Kurt Angle (aka the COnqu have already qualified. Hardy and Joe will have a chance to qualify with a win tonight.
WWE World Cup Qualifying Match
Big Show vs Randy Orton
So far, no non-American has qualified for the tournament. Several were given the opportunity in Baron Corbin’s Battle Royal last night but Spain’s the Conquistador was later revealed to be Kurt Angle.
Show’s match tonight will be his first in over a year.
Miz TV W/ AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan will challenge for AJ Styles’ WWE Championship at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. Tonight, however, he’ll appear alongside the champ on an edition of Miz TV. Bryan defeated the Miz at Super Show-Down to earn the title opportunity.
WWE has added an important new stipulation onto the scheduled Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair match on Tuesday night. Shortly after Lynch was disqualified at Super Show-Down, the promotion announced the rematch would take place this week on Smackdown.
According to the recently announced stipulation, should Becky Lynch get disqualified Tuesday night as she did in Melbourne, Flair will be awarded not only the victory but also the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair Rivalry Statistics
Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair have met 4x in single’s matches (not including house shows). Lynch has won 3 of the 4, her only loss coming by way of DQ at Super Show-Down this weekend. They’ve met another 3x on house shows (all recently), where Lynch has successfully defended the championship on each occasion.
They have been in 7 of the same multi-person matches including 2 Money in the Bank matches. Of those 7 matches, Charlotte has won 2, Becky just one, and the rest were won by other competitors. In tag-team matches, they’ve only been on opposing sides once, which was the Raw vs Smackdown match at Survivor Series 2017. Flair’s Raw team won that match. So of the 12x they’ve been opposed each other on WWE programming, with each of them having won 4 matches, with the remainder having been won by other competitors in multi-person matches.
It has been an interesting weekend for Irish trash-talkers. Becky Lynch lost to Charlotte Flair at Super Show-Down in Melbourne yesterday but she is still the Smackdown Women’s Champion. Lynch was disqualified during the match for hitting her opponent with the title belt. Charlotte had her locked in figure-8 at the time.
WWE cameras caught up with Lynch as she was preparing to leave the venue at the event’s conclusion. Despite being the loser of the match, Lynch seemed proud just to be leaving with the belt.
“One of us walked out of Australia as the champ and the other was helped out as not the champ,” Lynch boasted. “WWE is filled with champions and nobody’s and for the champ business is good.”
Becky Lynch (c) vs Charlotte Flair – Smackdown
Shortly after Lynch retained her title through dubious means, the rematch was announced for this Tuesday on Smackdown. Lynch offered up her thoughts on the rematch as well.
“I don’t know how many more times I need to prove that I own Charlotte Flair,” she continued. “And I don’t care if I have to fight Charlotte. if I have to fight this company, if I have to fight anybody. I will make my mark on WWE and prove that I am the face of this company.”
How Long Do You Think Becky Lynch Will Be Smackdown Women’s Champion For?
Becky Lynch defended her WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair in the second bout of WWE Super Show-Down. The event in Melbourne Cricket Ground is currently ongoing and you can check out our full coverage and results here.
Lynch was heavily cheered by the crowd in Australia. Late in the bout Flair had Lynch in a Boston Crab which Becky had to break by grabbing the ropes. The ‘Lass Kicker’ then grabbed her title and attempted to leave the match, Charlotte grabbed her and took her back to the ring.
Flair then hit Lynch with her second spear of the match. Flair then applied a Figure-four bridging into the Figure Eight. Lynch hit Flair with the Smackdown Women’s Championship to retain via disqualification.

WWE Super Show-Down takes place October 6th from the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia. The WWE advertising machine has been in full swing in support for the show, hyping the event and building towards it over the past few weeks.
One person, however, isn’t happy with the advertising that has taken place.
SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, has taken obvious issue with the campaign that the WWE is running, highlighting, what she considers, to be an obvious omission:
Despite the champion not being featured, the woman she bested recently at Hell In A Cell is featured prominently, as is the WWE Raw Women’s Champion, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey.
But no women’s championship representation for the blue brand?

Fresh off her recent Smackdown Women’s Championship win, Becky Lynch appeared as a guest on Chasing Glory With Lilian Garcia to discuss her heel turn. Lynch discussed how the audience hasn’t taken to the turn as it was originally conceived. Garcia said that heel turns typically involve putting down the crowd, and insulting them.
“Well, we tried that,” Lynch said, “And the crowd were like, ‘c’mon now, Becky, you know that we were there with you the whole time.’ And I’m like, yeah, I know, I’m going through some stuff. I’m trying to figure it out, lads.”
“It just doesn’t make sense that I would talk about how bad and how wrong they are, because they’ve obviously made their voices heard and supported me the whole time.”
Lilian asked about the origin of the decision to turn her heel. “That was Creative. And I can’t say I’m mad at them,” Lynch said. “Vince wanted a different side of me.”
She also revealed that she has some input into her promos. “Everything’s said in my own words… The main thing is to make sure that Becky Lynch is real.”
Lynch also discussed her first title run, and how she didn’t feel worthy of holding the belt. Some of that had to do with her own insecurity, she said. But she also mentioned that some of that came from her positioning as a champion who wasn’t even the captain of her Survivor Series team in 2016.
Lynch also said that she entered the company with a desire to be a blank canvas, but that she took that too far. “I got so in my head that I couldn’t even do a schoolboy.”
“I don’t think I’d be here if it wasn’t for Dusty Rhodes,” she continued. She mentioned that Rhodes liked working with unpolished wrestlers, and enjoyed the process of helping to mold people with a bit of brokenness. “And I think, at the time, that I was particularly broken.”
Other show topics included Lynch working with Shawn Michaels on The Marine 6, a bad breakup, and Lynch’s desire to keep her personal and professional lives separate.

Two other matches have already been announced for the show: AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Championship, and Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz.
– SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is Lilian Garcia’s next guest on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia. The interview will be available starting Monday.
After Garcia reveals Lynch as her next guest in the video below, Lynch silently appears with the SmackDown Women’s Championship wrapped around her shoulder. Garcia says, “No words from Becky,” leading Lynch to remark, “You’re gonna have to wait.”
Newly crowned Smackdown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch, recently spoke to the media about her current character’s motivation. Lynch has played a key role on Smackdown as of late. Her rivalry with Charlotte Flair is one of the most talked about angles happening in wrestling at the moment.
Lynch says she’s loving her current role on WWE programming. Whether she is a heel or a face doesn’t matter to her either.
Becky Lynch On Her Character’s Motivation
“Whatever this is, I love it,” Lynch said to USA Today recently. Lynch would continue to say her character feels she tried to do things the right way but it didn’t work out how she wanted.
“For the most part, people are generally good and want to do the right thing. And sometimes, it just backfires on you,” she continued. “My dad used to always tell me no good deed goes unpunished. And I think that’s what you’re seeing with Becky right now, that she’s always done the right thing and it hasn’t gotten her where she wants it. And now she’s had enough and she’s saying ‘I don’t care who’s in my way.’”
Lynch defeated Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell on Sunday to become the new Smackdown Women’s Champion. It’s the first time Lynch has held the title since winning the inaugural belt at Backlash 2016.
“I left home at 16, traveled the world and slept on people’s couches,” Lynch said about her career. “I came with a goal and I haven’t gotten that because I have been too focused on doing the right thing always when other people aren’t. That’s what we’re seeing and she’s had enough … she’s not letting them be an obstacle anymore.”
