WWE has announced a Divas match for the TLC pay-per-view “Kickoff Show” live tonight on the WWE Network.
In singles action, former Team P.C.B. member Becky Lynch will square off against Team B.A.D. member and former NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks during the 60-minute WWE TLC pre-show at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
WWE Diva Becky Lynch recently appeared as a guest on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho and spoke about the process of getting into WWE, picking her ring name and more. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On moving to Orlando to have TNA as a “Plan B”
“Orlando was where TNA was at the time, so I was like, ‘oh, okay. If I’m in Orlando studying, I’ll have a Plan B and also I’ll be close to TNA.”
On the origins of the Lass Kicker nickname:
“I didn’t [come up with ‘Lass Kicker’]. I had my match with Sasha [Banks at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable] and then I woke up. And I was looking at my tweets that morning and there was a t-shirt with ‘Lass Kicker’ on it and I thought maybe Sheamus had a female version and then I thought, ‘but that’s kind of a bit weird if he has a t-shirt that’s ‘Lass Kicker” and I had no idea until I actually went on WWE Shop and saw that there was a ‘Lass Kicker’ t-shirt and I was like, ‘oh, that’s for me!’”
On studying the art of clowning:
“What I loved about wrestling was just being foolish, so I studied clown. I studied clown. I studied the art of clown. I actually did my thesis on clown.” Lynch added, “I feel like you just become very vulnerable and it’s very honest.”
“Well, everybody thinks that you just do tricks and learn to juggle and this, that, and whatever, but no! It’s actually [a] really powerful acting technique because you put on this little red nose and it’s like an arrow to your eyes and they say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. It’s like people can see through you or you feel like that. There’s just this thing that comes over you when you have that little red nose on you.”
On her WWE tryout in Birmingham, England:
“It was just lots of drills, lots of rolls, [and] a lot of it came down to just cardio and just how you moved in the ring. And then promos, and so, promos are like my favorite thing in the world. And then just telling your story. And I think because I’d worked on my promos so much I just felt so happy to be back in the ring, whether I was good or not, it was just an energy.”
On getting signed right away but being told that Vince McMahon might only be looking for models:
“They said that they liked me and that I did well. They said, ‘we never know. They might just be looking for models, so it depends what day you show up on Vince [McMahon]’s desk’ and I was like, ‘okay’, but I had faith.”
On the origins of her WWE ring name and other choices she considered:
“I kind of wanted to keep my own name. Yes, my real name is Rebecca and I’ve got twenty-something years of putting my name into other words.” Lynch continued, “and then ‘Lynch’ was, they just needed Irish names and then ‘Lynch’ was just one that came up, but I remember the owner of the gym that I was training out of before I got my tryout. The name of the gym was Raw and his name was Lynch and I thought that was kind of a good omen.”
“Robin Daly was one of the names I wanted to pick because I could be all like, ‘I’m Robin Daly, like, I’m robbing daily.’ It could be a ‘daily thing’ [or] a ‘daily habit’.”
– Becky Lynch is featured in the above RAW Fallout video from last night’s TLC “go-home” show. Lynch reacted to the Miz TV segment with her two former Team PCB members Charlotte and Paige, who will once again be competing against each other for the WWE Divas Championship.

– WWE continues to tease a possible heel turn for WWE Divas Champion Charlotte. They wrote the following in their official preview for tonight’s edition of RAW:
“We’re seeing a different side of Charlotte lately, and it’s not one that agrees with the Divas Champion’s longtime friend, Becky Lynch. On Raw, the daughter of two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair took a page out of her dad’s playbook when she feigned an injury to take Becky off her game and steal a victory over The Lass Kicker in what was supposed to be a friendly bout. Then, on SmackDown, a hot-headed Charlotte got Becky disqualified in her match with Brie Bella. Although Charlotte’s interference was in retaliation after Brie accidentally knocked the Divas Champion down at ringside, the second-generation Diva seemingly had no regard for how her actions would affect her friend. Are we now seeing the “real” Charlotte?”
– After being sent home last week due to a “bad flu bug,” WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens is expected to make his WWE television return on tonight’s RAW. Owens made his in-ring return at the WWE live event on Saturday evening in Fayetteville, North Carolina, losing to Dean Ambrose.

Foley noted that he traveled 12 hours to NXT TakeOver six months ago to watch Banks and Lynch and it was “worth every mile.” Foley tweeted the following:
WWE Diva Paige recently spoke with The Mirror to promote the ongoing WWE U.K. tour. Below are some of the highlights from the interview.
On what it means for the Divas to get more TV time and attention on big WWE shows:
“We absolutely love it because it all came after the whole #GiveDivasAChance thing trended, that’s really where it started. It was incredible because we don’t tend to think fans like us that much! [Laughs] But for them to really back us, that trended like three days straight, and for them to sign a petition for WWE to give us more time, that was the main thing. You know we have an amazing bunch of girls, full of talent and all hard working, but we need the opportunities because we’re really here to prove we can do stuff as good as the guys, or even better.”
On feuding with her former Team P.C.B. members Charlotte and Becky Lynch:
“It’s cool because I’ve known Becky since I was about 13, she was on the independent circuit too and stayed with my family a lot back in the day. That was crazy because we went from being on the indies together to being on the grandest stage of them all together. And then you’ve got Charlotte, who started in developmental six months after I did, so we’ve really been through it together, which is really nice. We grew up in the WWE together. We are a family, we’re literally like sisters, so it feels great to be working with them.”
On getting more microphone time lately:
“I love being on the microphone and that just makes you better as well, because after you haven’t been on the microphone for a little bit, you get extremely rusty and it gets very hard. They are giving me more time, literally every week they are giving me a promo, and I’m doing it live, which is tough, but I love doing them because it just makes me better.”
On her recent back-and-forth with WWE Hall Of Famer Madusa (Alundra Blayze) and if she’d be willing to work with her:
“Oh absolutely, I mean it’s not something that’s going to happen, but hopefully someday it could, and if it did, I would definitely do it. If she wants a match I will 100% give her a match. I don’t know if she can still go though! She’s probably not been in the ring for about 15 or 20 years… but if she wants to go, let’s go. She’s definitely someone, Alundra Blayze and Bull Nakano were like my heroes, but I don’t know about that now.”
– Featured above is a video preview of the latest episode of “The WWE List,” which premieres at 4:30pm EST. today on the WWE Network.

Exactly 3 years ago I left Dublin for my @WWE try out. What a crazy, amazing journey it's been!So excited to be at #WWEDublin tomorrow
Paige was Michael Cole’s guest for this week’s WWE.com sit down interview. Cole began by saying that he’s known Paige for a long time and asked her flat out, what happened? Paige said she wasn’t sure what Cole was referring to, so he clarified that he wants to know what happened to her. Paige said nothing has changed and she’s still the woman who became the youngest Divas Champion in history last year.
Cole said that Paige hasn’t given him the time of day over the past few weeks and she said she’s just been busy keeping the Divas Revolution alive. Cole questioned her about why she stabbed her Team PCB partners Charlotte and Becky Lynch in the back on Monday’s RAW. Paige said the success of the Divas Revolution got to their heads and she needed to bring them down to earth. Paige said she is the Divas Revolution and they need to show her some respect.
Cole finds it all hard to believe, since Charlotte and Becky Lynch are respectful people and Charlotte has told him personally that she admires Paige’s accomplishments. Paige said nobody else has seen the real Charlotte and she dropped her former partners to keep them humble and hungry.
Cole said he doesn’t think Paige is responsible for the Divas Revolution. He referenced Natalya and Nikki Bella as being more influential than Paige. Cole asked her if she is the person who attacked Natalya several weeks ago. Paige vehemently denied it and said she’s got bigger and better things to worry about.
Paige and Natalya will face off this Thursday on SmackDown.
– Tonight’s WWE Main Event and SmackDown tapings take place from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Talent advertised for tonight’s show include Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Sheamus, Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt. No matches have been announced but SmackDown will have a Halloween theme.
– In this RAW Fallout video, WWE Tag-Team Champions The New Day react to their two losses on RAW.
After weeks of dissension with her PCB partners, Paige finally snapped on Monday’s RAW and turned on Charlotte and Becky Lunch.
PCB lost to Team Bella in a six-Divas tag-team match and Paige snapped. She delivered the RamPaige to both Charlotte and Becky, leaving them laying in the ring.
Becky Lynch was interviewed this week on The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcastand was asked who she thinks is the best wrestler in the world. The Irish Diva was quick to name her fellow countryman, NXT Champion Finn Balor.
“Personally, I consider [Finn Balor] to be the best wrestler in the world. He is also one of my dearest friends as well, so it’s just awesome to have him around, just to have another person to bounce [ideas] off of. I’m so happy for him and being the NXT Champ and where he’s going to go is just to the moon and back.
Being able to be in such close proximity to see everything that he’s about to do and everything that he [has] already done because the Bullet Club was all his invention, and that’s so cool. So what he’s going to do here [in WWE] is going to be phenomenal.”
WWE Diva Becky Lynch recently spoke with Irish America about how she got into wrestling, the current crop of Divas, and more. Here are some highlights:
Becky Lynch on her wrestling beginnings:
“Me and my brother would watch it [on TV] all the time and I loved it. But if you wanted to be a wrestler, you’d have to go off to England or America to train.
“It [Devitt’s school] was about an hour and a half away from me. And it didn’t even have a ring at the time. We wrestled for three months on just six blue mats on the floor in this tiny little hall at Saint Andrew’s national school. We’d go down there every Sunday and that’s how we learned, on the mats. We’d go across to England and do these summer camps where you’d train eight or nine hours a day in a gym. You’d sleep on the mats in the ring or under the ring.”
Lynch on what sets her apart:
“I think when you’ve got a passion for something, it comes out of you and people can feel it. Then your mind is so geared towards that, and how you can improve on it, and you’re so excited about performing that it comes together….
Everybody has that thing about them that makes them special, and sometimes we try to dull it down or we don’t always want to expose it, and maybe we’ve been taught that way or whatever. It’s just a matter of letting it out and letting it go and letting people in on it.”
What does she hope the ‘Divas Revolution’ accomplishes?
“We want it where it’s not just, ‘Oh it’s a girl’s match, let me go put the kettle on and have a cup of tea,’ or whatever. It’s like, ‘Oh, no, the girls are on. I need to see this. I can’t miss it!’ We want that for women’s wrestling. For the whole state of the division. For women in general, you know what I mean? It should never be an afterthought. It should always be that we are equally as credible as the guys, if not more so.
When I walk down to the Performance Center, there’s a hallway, and there’s a display of all the pay-per-view posters. It’s all the headliners, all the moneymakers, and they’re all men. All of them. Every single one of them. I walk down and every single time I just kind of shake my head a little bit. Because I know in five years, definitely in ten years, but no, five years, even three years, I know I’m going to be walking down and I’m going to see female wrestlers like Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks and Bayley, and maybe myself, there on those posters. That’s what it’s going to be, because that is the future.”

In addition to former NXT World Champion Kevin Owens defeating Ryback to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion, former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte defeated Nikki Bella to become the new WWE Divas Champion, ending Bella’s 301-day record-setting reign as champion.
Charlotte’s father, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair joined Paige and Becky Lynch in the ring to celebrate the victory, as both Charlotte and Flair had tears in their eyes during what was a very emotional moment for the Flair family.
On Monday, 2K revealed the final members of the WWE 2K16 roster – and there were some glaring omissions. Many fans were outraged that WWE’s “Four Horsewomen” – Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch, will not be part of this year’s game. Even more maddening is the fact Divas such as Cameron, Summer Rae and the recently-retired Layla made the cut in lieu of the Divas Revolution leaders.
Back in February, Sasha Banks told a fan on Twitter that she got scanned for the game – adding an extra layer of WTF to the situation.
“@Michael77435101: @SashaBanksWWE did you get scanned for wwe 2k16 because I neeeeeed to be able to play as the #Boss of #NXT” yes I did!
2K has issued the following statement regarding the omissions – and then twisted the knife by confirming that the Four Horsewomen will NOT be available as DLC.
With our final roster reveal this past Monday, it was awesome seeing the excitement for The New Day, Enzo and Cass, Mikey Whipwreck, and more. But it was clear that some in the community are frustrated by the lack of the newer Divas added to the main WWE roster recently
We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2k16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE 2K16’s post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC.
We are proud to have and built the largest WWE roster to date featuring the most Divas ever. The WWE 2K16 disc includes all of the Divas on the main roster at the time we locked it in (13 playable in total).
We all agree the Divas Revolution is great for business and look forward to celebrating the Divas even more in future WWE 2K titles.
A new title match for the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view in September was made official on Monday’s edition of WWE RAW in Tampa, Florida.
When Charlotte defeated Brie Bella in one minute and 41 seconds in the Divas “Beat The Clock Challenge” at RAW, she became the new number one contender and earned the right to challenge Nikki Bella for the WWE Divas Championship at the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.
The other “Beat The Clock Challenge” match saw Becky Lynch defeat Alicia Fox in three minutes and 21 seconds. The third “Beat The Clock Challenge” match saw Paige and Sasha Banks run out of time, as the one minute 41 second mark hit and there had yet to be a decision.

WWE continues to make announcements regarding Monday’s edition of RAW, as we can now officially report another match for Monday’s show in Tampa, Florida.
Earlier this weekend, WWE announced that Sting will be opening Monday’s RAW to address what happened with Seth Rollins last week, as well as their upcoming WWE Night Of Champions title match.
WWE also announced a first-ever “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge,” where Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch will compete to see who wins a WWE Divas title shot against Nikki Bella at Night Of Champions.
On Sunday, WWE announced that in addition to the opening segment with Sting and the “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge,” Dolph Ziggler will go one-on-one with “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.

WWE has announced the first ever “Divas Beat The Clock Challenge” for this coming Monday night’s edition of WWE RAW.
Scheduled to compete in the “Beat The Clock Challenge” on Monday night in Tampa, Florida are Paige, Charlotte and Becky Lynch. There is currently no word regarding their opponents.
The Diva who wins her match in the shortest amount of time will earn a shot at WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella at the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
– Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch all received either amended contracts with an increase in pay or new main roster WWE deals the day after all three made their debuts on RAW for the first time.
– Speaking of compensation practices in WWE, a perk that NXT talents get when they work WWE live events is that the company pays for their road expenses, in addition to paying them like a prelim WWE talent. For main roster talents, they have to cover their own road expenses. Also, right now, if you are an NXT star and you are called up to the main roster, WWE pays for your road expenses for the first 90 days after you make the full-time transition.
As it turns out, WWE actually scrambled to try and prevent the crowd takeover that occurred during the Divas match at RAW on Monday night.
As reported earlier, Paige, Nikki Bella, Brie Bella and Alicia Fox took to social media after RAW to vent their frustrations about the negative crowd reactions during their six-Divas tag-team match.
Paige tweeted (and then quickly deleted), “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”
To counter the negative crowd reactions, WWE actually inserted an extra commercial break into the West Coast feed of RAW, as they actually suddenly cut to a commercial break right when Paige took Nikki into the corner of the ring and hit a shoulder block.
As a result, WWE effectively prevented most of the “boring” chants, “we are awesome” chants and the wave, from airing on the West Coast feed of the show.
It’s worth noting that unlike the aforementioned four Divas, Becky Lynch and Charlotte did not complain on social media. You can check out their reactions below.

Well Brooklynch. I'll love you and leave you. You were a beautiful boisterous bunch. #RAW
Several of the WWE Divas who worked last night’s RAW expressed their frustration with the fans in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, particularly with how they reacted during the Team P.C.B. vs. Team Bella match.
Paige tweeted the following comment, but quickly deleted it: “You helped us create change and then did your best to disrespect. Niceeeee jobbbbbbbb!”
Below are some posts from other WWE Divas involved in the match/segment, all of which spoke about the negative fan reaction as well.
