– Bo Dallas is now officially recognized as the new NXT Champion after defeating on Big E Langston on this week’s episode of WWE NXT on Hulu Plus. The official WWE website has published an article acknowledging the title change that also profiles the third-generation wrestler.
– Prior to this Sunday’s WWE Payback pay-per-view event, Sheamus will duel with Damien Sandow in the WWE Payback Kickoff, which streams live at 7:30 p.m. on YouTube. WWE has released this video previewing the contest.
– According to WrestlingFigs.com, WWE Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff will be signing autographs at next Wednesday’s Bowie Baysox game at Prince George’s Stadium 4101 Crain Hwy. Bowie, Maryland. (Event Information)
– WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler appeared at a WWE live event for the first time in four weeks at Saturday’s show in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Ziggler, who was donning street clothes, accompanied Big E Langston in his match against Alberto Del Rio as well as AJ Lee in her match against Divas Champion Kaitlyn. Langston lost his match via disqualification while Lee lost her match via pinfall.
Ziggler has not been medically cleared to wrestle again after sustaining a serious concussion last month.
– The official YouTube account of WWE released the following video previewing this month’s slate of Classics On Demand programming; the theme is “Ring Royalty.” This includes a profile on Jerry “The King” Lawler, the 1999 edition of the Royal Rumble, various King of the Ring moments and the 2007 video release, Triple H: King of Kings – There is Only One.
– Former WWE wrestler Big Bully Busick turned 59-years-old on Sunday.
– Tonight’s edition of WWE RAW takes place from Kansas City, Missouri. No matches have been announced for the show yet, but expect to see fallout from Extreme Rules, including the “no contest” finish to John Cena vs. Ryback, Brock Lesnar winning his Best of 3 series with Triple H and The Shield walking away with the United States and Tag Team championships.
– Big E. Langston vs. Alberto Del Rio is rumored for this week’s WWE TV tapings. Del Rio defeated Jack Swagger at Extreme Rules to earn a shot at Dolph Ziggler’s World Heavyweight championship, but Del Rio will have to go through Big E Langston first, since Ziggler is out of action with a concussion.

– WWE officials are said to be very excited about the new Total Divas reality show that premieres on the E! Network this summer. The first two episodes are getting very strong reviews and WWE is hopeful they will be able to win over non-wrestling fans to begin watching WWE. Storylines for the first few episodes include the new Divas (Eva Marie & Jo-Jo Offerman) being brought in, footage from WrestleMania 29 weekend and Divas managing their romantic relationships while on the road.
– This week on WWE Main Event on ION Television, a Battle Royal will take place where the winner receives the opportunity to challenge Wade Barrett for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
– On this week’s SmackDown Slam of the Week, Chris Jericho gets dropped by Big E Langston.
– On the latest edition of VH1’s Best Week Ever, a segment aired called “Panties on/Panties off, with a female comedian remarking “Panties off” for Fandango.
– Two more names rumored for the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2013 are Scott Hall and Jake Roberts. Both men are currently training DDP Yoga and there have been reports that DDP might have reached out to WWE hoping to get both men inducted this year. While neither man is confirmed for the Hall, Jake Roberts is more likely to be inducted by himself, while Hall would be inducted as part of the Kliq, along with Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Triple H and Sean Waltman.
– Dolph Ziggler revealed that Monday’s 52nd episode of WWE Download will be the finale. He tweeted:

– On Wednesday’s episode of WWE Main Event, Sheamus had a confrontation with Big E Langston following his match with Dolph Ziggler. In response to fan questions about why he got “backed down” by Big E, Sheamus tweeted:
– WWE has reportedly settled on the top 4 matches for WrestleMania 29. While their plans for the show have been switched around multiple times in the past several months, the card has finally taken shape and WWE will begin booking television with those matches in mind.
– Next week marks the 20th Anniversary of WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW. WWE is reaching out to various legends to make special appearances and the WWE website is teasing that fans should “expect thrills and surprises of all shapes and sizes.”
There was talk backstage at this week’s RAW that WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be in attendance for the anniversary show.

– NXT champion Big E. Langston has been added to the Superstars section of WWE.com.
– Last Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown, a replay of Tuesday’s live special, drew 1.85 million viewers. With the original Tuesday airing drawing 3.33 million viewers, that brings the total viewership to 5.18 million. The previous week drew 2.63 million viewers.
– Monday’s Christmas Eve edition of WWE RAW scored a Trendrr.tv social media score of 114,187. This was enough to make the show the #1 most socially active show on cable for the night, but was also the lowest score of the 3-hour RAW era, due to the holiday.
– With the recent announcement that WWE video game publisher THQ has filed for bankruptcy, WWEGaming.com reports that next year’s WWE ’14 game will be released as planned.
The site notes that despite the company’s perilous financial situation, there is enough money budgeted to develop next year’s installment of the game. No word yet on the game’s theme, but we can confirm that it’s currently in development.
– The dislocated shoulder that Randy Orton suffered at the Tribute to the Troops taping is not serious and will only keep him out of action for a week or two.
– WWE’s decision to bring Big E Langston up to the main roster was made in the past week or so. After NXT Champion Seth Rollins made his WWE television debut as part of The Shield, WWE made the call to put the title on Big E Langston at the most recent tapings on December 6th, 11 days before his WWE TV debut.
Langston is a pure athlete that was successful in wrestling, football and power lifting and was seen as one of the top prospects at NXT before getting called up. Triple H has a policy where NXT stars are not called up until there is a solid character and storyline in place for them, so Langston should be kept busy with Ziggler and AJ for the next few weeks.
– As seen on RAW, WWE brought back several former superstars and legends for cameos. Expect to see more familiar faces on WWE television in the coming weeks and months.
– Following Big E Langston’s debut on RAW and attack of John Cena, several fans tweeted WWE superstar Ezekiel Jackson thinking it was him who appeared at the end of RAW. They’re both really muscular and have great tans, but we’re not sure what the confusion was about.

NXT Champion Big E Langston was the man who debuted at the end of RAW and attacked John Cena. Langston is a former defensive lineman from the University of Iowa and is a former national powerlifting champion.He’s been training with WWE since 2009 and wrestled at a number of SmackDown live events earlier this year.
With The Shield recently joining the main roster, Langston was seen as the next developmental star in line ready to get called up.

– WWE’s Gerald Brisco was scouting amateur wrestler Chad Hanke over the weekend. Hanke is a senior at Oregon State and was ranked #16 nationally going into this season. He’s currently just under 200 pounds but is looking to move up to heavyweight.
– Following the main roster WWE debuts of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, the next group of NXT stars in line to be called up look to be Big E Langston, Bray Wyatt and his brother, Bo Dallas. Earlier this week, Bray Wyatt tweeted “2 months #raw” – sign that he could be debuting in early 2013.
Two more NXT stars rumored to be ready for WWE are the tag team The Ascension, Conor O’Brian and Kenneth Cameron. The duo has a very polished act and have been been developing a move set that uses a lot of double team moves used by some classic 1980’s heel teams. With WWE’s tag team division picking up in recent months, it would be a good time for WWE to introduce another strong tag team act.
Matches taped Tuesday evening in Manchester, New Hampshire for this week’s episode of WWE NXT are as follows:

Justin Gabriel faced Hunico in a match taped for WWE Superstars.
In a battle of WWE developmental wrestlers, Big E Langston faced Dean Ambrose in a pre-taping dark match. Langston, who was billed from Manchester, beat Ambrose. Prior to the match, Ambrose cut a heel promo denouncing the city of Manchester.
– WWE developmental wrestler Big E Langston competed at Saturday’s SmackDown live event in Salisbury, Maryland, defeating Heath Slater.
– Sorta-crazy / definitely hot WWE diva AJ Lee didn’t have a great week. She tweeted on Saturday:
“This week I got my 1st ticket, got bit by a spider, had to bring my dog to the ER, & got in my 1st car accident. I desperately need a hug. I am seriously hoping I attain super powers from the spider bite. Kinda putting a lot of eggs in that basket.”
– Harry Smith will appear at The Fox and Fiddle in Toronto at 535 Danforth Avenue signing autographs.
– Mick Foley has been announced to appear at the Southern Maryland Comic Con. The event takes place Saturday, July 7 at Capital Clubhouse 3033 Waldorf Market Place Waldorf, Maryland.
– Thursday night’s Florida Championship Wrestling live event featured a tag team match involving several of the promotion’s top talent. Seth Rollins (Tyler Black) and Kassius Ohno (Chris Hero) defeated the team of Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) and Big E. Langston. Prior to signing with WWE, Cesaro and Ohno previously teamed together as the Kings of Wrestling. Ohno tweeted the following about the match:

– Zack Ryder says he will debut his new catchphrase on the next Z! True Long Island Story, which will premiere later today.
– WWE star Curt Hawkins, who was fired on NXT by William Regal earlier this week, continues to play up the storyline and says he’s headed to the independent scene to work with Kevin Steen and Sami Callihan:
“I’m so fired… I’m gonna kill @KILLSTEENKILL & @samicallihan on the indys. #NXT sucks”
