Big E Lists His Favorite ‘Big Men’ From Pro Wrestling History

New Day member Big E has revealed who some of his favorite ‘Big Men’ from pro wrestling’s history are. He shared the information during a recent episode of his podcast, Feel The Power, with his co-hosts Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Former WCW Champion, and current WWE Universal Champion, Goldberg was one of the first names Big E mentioned. He then admitted how he grew up a big fan of Ron Simmons.

“I like Ron Simmons because he was also big and thick. I was a Florida State fan as a kid [and] he had his number retired at Florida State which is rare. So Ron Simmons was the man.”

Big E’s List

Alongside Goldberg and Simmons, Big E pointed to “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner. “I love Scott Steiner. He’s all the muscles and he’s very athletic. I hope he’s doing well, yeah. Scott Steiner, who else did I like? It’s time, it’s Vader Time!”

Big E talked about he, as an athlete, likes to remain limber. He then recalled a time when Vader came to guest coach at FCW and how he was surprised at Vader’s flexibility.

“So Vader came down as a guest coach in FC W, many moons ago. And this man was so limber I couldn’t believe it. I lost my mind when I saw him pop like a full split, he would just sit in the ring and we would he would talk,” Big E recalled.

“We were just talking about the business, he was just comfortably sitting in a split talking to us, just this massive man in a split! Comfortably!? This point he’s probably in his 50s or so, yeah, it’s incredible.”

Big E and Kofi Kingston were set to defend their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships this weekend at WrestleMania 36. However, with The Miz being pulled from the matchup, this will reportedly no longer take place.

Big E Discusses WrestleMania, Travel Schedule & Why Fans Are Crucial

New Day member Big E was recently interviewed by The Daily Orange where he spoke about WrestleMania 36. He also talked about wrestling in across multiple countries in two days and how important fans are to him.

With Big E and Kofi Kingston suffering a SmackDown Tag Team Championship loss at last week’s Super ShowDown event, Big E isn’t too sure what WrestleMania has in store for the New Day.

“It’s hard to say. I think this time last year we were deep in KofiMania, and that was something that kinda came out of nowhere,” he said. “We always just try to do our best and be hopeful. But at the end of the day, whether it’s a singles title run or regaining the tag team titles, we’ll just continue doing our best and roll with whatever happens.”

He admitted that performing across two countries in two days was a “whirlwind.” The Superstar competed in Saudi Arabia on Thursday before returning for an episode of SmackDown the next day.

“I’ve been signed for over a decade, but I’ve kind of gotten used to it. We actually had an event last night in a makeshift arena, and then just two hours ago, we landed in Boston to prepare for tonight. You kind of get in that mode of working. It’s what the job is.”

Big E On The WWE Universe

When it comes to the WWE Universe, Big E stressed how important they are to the whole process. He noted how they are crucial, and that “without the fans, none of us would be here.”

“The reason that The New Day had any kind of success is because of them. I remember when The New Day actually started out as heels (the bad guys), but the fans pushed us to turn face (the good guys). I remember we had a SummerSlam match in 2016, where we continued our record-breaking reign, and I remember sitting in my hotel room after that match and I was looking at social media at fans being so loud even after it was over. When I’m an old man, I’ll look back and remember nights like that.”

Big E and Kofi Kingston have the chance to reclaim the SmackDown Tag Team Championships this Sunday at Elimination Chamber. They will participate in an Elimination Chamber match for the titles. Their opponents include The Miz and John Morrison, The Usos, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party and Dolphy Ziggler and Robert Roode.

Big E Shares Details Of Canceled WrestleMania 35 Angle

Big E has revealed an angle that was planned ahead of Kofi Kingston’s WrestleMania 35 match. The angle would be pulled, much to their chagrin. Speaking on their podcast, The New Day: Feel the Power, Big E recounted how there were plans in place for Kingston and himself to burst into Vince McMahon’s office. They would have then proceeded to rip it apart in frustration.

According to Big E, there was an original plan that would have seen the two Superstars knock on Vince McMahon’s door for a meeting. They would have been told, however, that he had no time for them. This would have triggered their frustrations boiling over, angered at always being overlooked and undervalued.

Big E & Kofi Kingston Cause Carnage

Big E shared how he was legitimately excited to kick down the door before tearing up his office. For him, the entire angle represented their visceral anger about how Kingston had been treated. He paralleled Kingston’s storyline to that of Daniel Bryan’s back at WrestleMania 30. Big E noted that, despite the similarities, it didn’t feel derivative or recycled to him. He argued how, if anything, there was a greater sense of pathos because of how Kingston went on to face Bryan at WrestleMania 35.

He reflected on how the language used heading into their feud was interesting. In particular, how “He Who Shall Not Be Named” referred to Kingston as B Plus player. This angle would have been cathartic for them both, with Big E reasoning that given Kingston’s years of experience, it begged the question as to why people didn’t consider him good enough.

Big E Reveals Who He Thinks Is WWE’s “Most Physically Impressive” Superstar

New Day member Big E has revealed which WWE Superstar he believes is the “most physically impressive” amongst the current roster. Speaking on The New Day: Feel The Power podcast alongside co-hosts Xaver Woods and Kofi Kingston, Big E was quick to point to “The Swiss Superman” Cesaro.

“I always think Cesaro and his strength… I think at the time when we first started New Day, I was probably about 305, 310 [lbs.]. And I would always suggest things, but I always love doing with him a drop down spot, so something where I drop down, I go for the leapfrog, and he catches me out of midair like it’s nothing, just every time.”

He continued, “He’s the most physically impressive man in [pro] wrestling, I think, because he can do it all. He’s quick enough and agile enough to do lucha stuff. He can be a base for you. He can do springboard. What a frightening human being!”

Former WWE Champion Kingston added to the praise. He promised how he would “put him over to the end of the Earth.” He also added how if you’re in a match with Cesaro, everything is going to work out because of what he brings to the ring as a performer.

The New Day Talk ‘Trash’ Promos That WWE Creative Have Given Them

The New Day made some interesting comments regarding their original heel turn back in 2015 on the latest episode of The New Day: Feel The Power. The trio discussed their first turn back in 2015 on the show and also discussed some members of the WWE creative team and how they would present “trash” to the group to say on air in promos.

“I don’t like when there’s the three of us and a writer is just kind of in the room just lingering.”

“We don’t write our own promos, I don’t want to say that” Big E began. “We are given promos and often times, Mike, who we always consider the fourth member of The New Day, when he left…actually he left right after we won the [tag team] titles for the first time. He was gone and moved on to new things in Hollywood, we [then] had some other writers that didn’t gel as well with us, and we were able to thankfully, with Vince, we were able to get a promo and say ‘we don’t really care for this. So we aren’t going to say that, that AANNND that.'”

Big E elaborated further, saying “let’s go huddle in a room for an hour and we’ll come up with what we wanna say. We’ve said this many times, our creative process together…is so fun, and easy and organic. I don’t like when there’s the three of us and a writer is just kind of in the room just lingering. I don’t want to take shots at anyone. But if we just read what was given to us on a regular basis…basura, basura, basura…THAT MEANS TRASH. Man, we’ve had some real stinkers.”

“I feel like all those people on the internet do talk about that and make that point.”

Xavier Woods also interjected with some interesting insights into WWE’s creative process and how The New Day managed to start apart. “To that point, which I didn’t think we were jumping into. I feel like all those people on the internet do talk about that and make that point. ‘Oh this was bad, this was bad.’ But I feel like there are certain situations…wrestling definitely being the top one. Where if you have someone writing something for you that doesn’t have similar life experiences, or the same sense of humor. Or has nothing really in common with you, it’s a lot harder for them to write in your voice. I feel like that’s something that we definitely ran into.”

“You can’t tell me what New Day is, I invented this”

Kofi Kingston is the longest tenured member of the group, having joined WWE over a decade ago. The former WWE Champion discussed how Vince McMahon would let the New Day find their own promo groove; “I feel like I’ve heard so many writers try to ‘sell’ me a promo. ‘You would say this, New Day would say and feel this..’ It’s like hold on a second, you can’t tell me what New Day is. I invented this, you know. You can’t tell us how to be us. Just let us have our process. He who shall not be named (Vince McMahon) would often get the promo we sent back. He’d read it and then just be like ‘I don’t get it. But if wanna do it just let them do it.’ Because he got it. The fact that we know our characters well enough and we connect with the people. That’s all that he [Vince] wants.”

Big E did also mention that he doesn’t want to pull “all of the onus” on WWE creative for the bad promos. As he mentions that there’s certain talents who just aren’t that good at talking; including himself in the early part of his career.

New Day Slams WWE Creative’s Ideas For Their Faction Name

WWE Superstars Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods revealed some interesting details about how WWE decided on calling their faction, The New Day.

‘The New Day: Feel The Power’ is now on the second episode. The group ran down the ‘list’ of potential names that they could have been called originally and were given by WWE creative, some of which they found completely ridiculous.

The Tribe!? – The New Day

Some of the names included Healing Through Harmony, The Tribe (which they completely lambasted for racial reasons) and The Commotions.

Kingston stopped whilst going through the list and names and said “it’s one thing to have the thought and to put it on a piece of paper. But to actually like submit it as a possible name…like this is our likelihood man.”

The Modern Marvels

Xavier the chimed in and said that a terrible stable name would’ve likely been the end of his WWE career. “Let us recap, y’all were both set. If [it didn’t work out] you (Big E) would’ve gone to NXT and Kofi would’ve stayed on the main roster, I’d of got fired. I’ve we were called THE MODERN MARVELS, I would’ve been gone.”

Big E also had some comments regarding the list, mentioning his most memorable name. “The one I didn’t need to check an old email to see was…KBX.” Woods then said “Let’s break that down. Kofi starts with a K, Xavier starts with an X and your first name…” Big E then replied “is Big?”

More Bad Name Suggestions for New Day

The guys rattled off a long list of names that WWE pitched them for their group. Some of the “highlights” include:

  • The Tribe
  • Perfect Harmony

  • The Miracles
  • The Sensations

The guys pitched three of their own ideas: By Any Means Necessary, New Way and New Day, which they ultimately went with.

Submission Sorority & PCB

The New Day also mocked names that WWE creative came up for two women’s factions.

“We wouldn’t have lasted five years with a name like that, I wipe my cheeks with that name” Big E said of the Submission Sorority. “In fact you can actually customize toilet paper…I should customize toilet paper with KBX on each sheet. This harkens back to Paige’s group’s name, the Submission Sorority.”

Xavier Woods then discussed the ‘copyright’ issues surrounding that name, PCB stable, which consisted of Charlotte, Becky Lynch and the since-retired Paige. Woods said, “for one that’s already copyright-ten, and two, that’s not something that WWE can co-sign on.”

Big E then chimed back in, saying “so, we can’t use that name, we have Paige, we have Charlotte, we have Becky…let’s refer to them as PCB! Oooooh we did it!.”

Big E Was “Irate” When He Found Out How Kofi Kingston Would Drop WWE Title

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods) recently joined the After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves to promote their new podcast.

During the interview, they spoke about Kingston losing the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in a match that lasted about 10 seconds on the premiere episode of SmackDown on FOX back on October 4th.

When Big E found out about the plans, he was upset.

“Kofi Kingston is a lot more level-headed than maybe anyone else that I have met in the business because everyone else would have reacted. I was irate when I found out about it and that is a testament to Kofi.”

Big E continued by stating that he thinks very few people would have had that approach and not many people would not have sour grapes and be able to move on.

Big E recalled how Kingston winning the title from Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 was a big win for the whole group due to the long journey that they were on that lead to that point.

Kofi Kingston Says Vince McMahon Started Dancing When He Heard New Day’s Theme Song

This interview was done to promote The New Day’s podcast, “Feel the Power” that aired its first episode this past Monday.

Corey Graves Thinks Big E Deserves A “Breakout” Singles Run

Corey Graves has shared which WWE Superstar he believes deserves a significant push within the company. Talking on the WWE podcast he hosts, After The Bell, Graves spoke highly of New Day member Big E, stating that the Superstar is primed for a breakout singles run.

“This should be the opportunity for Big E’s big, singles breakout performance,” Graves said. “Now, I’m not saying to break up The New Day. They’ve gone on the record a million times and said, ‘Nope, they want to stay a unit forever’, and I don’t want to be the one to argue. But people forget that Big E was a former NXT Champion, Big E was a former [Intercontinental Champion] very shortly into his WWE career and that was when he was still figuring things out.”

Graves believes that after a lengthy career on the main roster, Big E now has the “seasoning” he needs to be working main events. He also believes working alongside Kofi Kingston has done wonders for Big E’s development. .

“Big E has future WWE or Universal Champion written all over him,” he said. “As entertaining as all three of The New Day members are in front of the camera, we haven’t even scratched the tip of the iceberg of what Big E is capable of as a performer.”

New Day members Big E and former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston are the reigning WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions. They are scheduled to compete in a Tag Team Championship triple threat match at Survivor Series. They face off against RAW’s Viking Raiders and NXT’s Undisputed Era members Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.

WWE Survivor Series takes place this Sunday night from Chicago, IL.

Booker T Wants Big E To Wrestle Brock Lesnar

New Day member Kofi Kingston recently lost his WWE Championship to a returning Brock Lesnar. He lost a short match during SmackDown’s premiere on FOX. Taking to his podcast, The Hall of Fame, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T argued that he would like to see Big E to step up and feud with ‘The Beast Incarnate.’

“I can see him competing with Brock Lesnar on a one-on-one scale. Just because, the guy is low center of gravity, but, he’s just as wide, and probably weighs more than Brock Lesnar. And a guy like that, literally, from a fighting standpoint, it would really be hard for a guy like Brock Lesnar, fighting a guy like that, just because, the strength. Who are you going to give it to?”

He continued, “In a strength matchup, I’m going to give the strength matchup to Big E 100 percent of the time. Seriously, every time. Just say, for instance, being that size, and the quickness that Big E has, from a realistic wrestling match, he could get under Brock Lesnar a whole lot quicker than Brock Lesnar can get under him. I look at it from that perspective right there.”

Booker argued that Big E isn’t featured as much as he should be, adding that not only does he deserve more air time, but that “the guy definitely can become a star” if given the right opportunity at the right time.

Kofi Kington Names Which NXT Superstars He’d Like To Face, Believes Big E Will Win Singles Gold Again

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston has named which NXT Superstars he would love to wrestle against. He also shared his belief that it’s only a matter of time until New Day stablemate, Big E, holds singles gold once again.

Speaking with WrestlingNews.co, Kingston listed notable NXT talents such as Velveteen Dream, former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, and current NXT Champion Adam Cole as Superstars he’d love to compete with.

“I get this question all the time, and it’s impossible to pick just one,” Kingston said. “I mean, Velveteen Dream, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole…there’s so much talent down there. I think it’s a really special time. They’re so good that they are getting to be on national television now on USA…”

Regarding NXT’s move to USA Network, Kingston remarked that the change will only make everyone better:

“It’s gonna make them that much better because they’ve had a lot of time to grind and they are very comfortable being in front of TV,” he explained. “They’ve built their own brand, so I think it’s gonna be great for them. The more exposure the better…”

When it comes to his New Day stablemates, Big E and Xavier Woods, Kingston shared that he believes Big E will “eventually” win singles gold again, adding that “He deserves it.”

“[Big] E and Woods both,” Kingston said. “Honestly, all of us are already in the Hall Of Fame, not to toot my own horn or whatever. The New Day, we’ve already done so many significant things. E and Woods are incredibly talented individuals. I’m so blessed to have been grouped with these guys and to have met these guys … There’s big things always.”

Kofi Kingston will attempt to defend his WWE Championship against “The Viper” Randy Orton at this Sunday’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

Big E Talks About WWE’s Push For Inclusivity And Representation, Not Falling Behind In The New Day

In an interview with App.com, New Day member Big E opened about wanting to provide value to his team. He reflected that, with Kofi taking charge as WWE Champion, he doesn’t want to fall behind.

“I want to feel like I continue to bring value to this team. So I guess seeing Kofi take charge — he’s our World Champion right now, he’s the guy on our brand, on SmackDown Live — so right now, I guess, for me, I feel that, you know what? I want to be able to keep up. [Kingston] is kind of like the pace car right now, and I want to be able to keep up as well.”

“So I guess that’s kind of one thing and I’m always looking. I’ll use anything as motivation to continue to get better and display how good I am and what I want to bring to the trio,” he admitted.

Big E On Inclusivity And Representation

Big E also addressed WWE’s push for more inclusion and representation. He highlighted Kingston’s championship victory as well as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda Rousey main eventing WrestleMania 35 as important moments for pro wrestling.

“[…] the problem is, a lot of times people bristle at the mere mention of race or representation or feminism or whatever minority group there is that’s trying to have a voice in media, people don’t even want to have that discussion. But I think for Kofi to be the first African-born champion I think is such an incredible feat. And also Becky Lynch and Ronda and Charlotte being able to close WrestleMania, to have the women close the biggest show of the year, is also pretty incredible.”

Despite these steps, however, Big E stressed that the discussion over inclusivity is one that everyone needs to be open to. He added that being able to have a discourse about these subjects is a huge step forward for pro wrestling—one he hopes continues to grow.

Entitled WWE: The New Day, the story will follow the trio from their initial WWE debut through to their stratospheric rise to popularity amongst the WWE Universe.

Big E Vows To Come After Brock Lesnar For WWE Universal Title (Video)

WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Big E is bound and determined to be the man to dethrone WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

WWE’s YouTube channel has released this video of Big E talking about his past history with “The Beast” and how he believes that he’ll be the next challenger for Lesnar’s Universal Title.

Big E brought up how all three members of New Day have battled Lesnar in the past and he thinks with another opportunity, they would fare better. He gave the reason for their previous loss on being filled up on sushi and saki as he was 40 pounds heavier.

As a result, he thinks it made it difficult for him to do anything at the time. Big E thinks things will go much differently in their next encounter. You can watch the full video here:

Big E was referring to when Lesnar beat Kofi Kingston in a singles match and attacked the rest of the group back in 2015 at the WWE Beast in the East special on the WWE Network in Tokyo, Japan.

WWE has confirmed that Big E will be part of a Cross Brand All-Star Battle Royal on tonight’s episode of RAW. The winner of this match will challenge Lesnar for his title at this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

Big E & Xavier Woods Win SmackDown Tag Team Titles At WWE Extreme Rules

Despite what many fans and oddsmakers were expected, Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan have dropped the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) beat Bryan and Rowan beat Heavy Machinery to win the titles at Sunday’s (July 14, 2019) WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event. This show took place in Philadelphia, PA at the Wells Fargo Center.

Bryan and Rowan were victorious over Heavy Machinery in their title defense at the WWE Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event last month.

Originally, it was announced Bryan and Rowan vs. The New Day. However, WWE later booked Heavy Machinery vs. Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown Live that saw Otis and Tucker go over. As a result, they were added to this title match at Extreme Rules.

Bryan and Rowan beat The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) to win the titles that were vacant at the time on the May 7th episode of SmackDown Live in Louisville, KY at the KFC Yum Center.

Big E Returns To In-Ring Action On WWE SmackDown Live

Big E made his in-ring return after being on the sidelines for a few months.

He teamed up with fellow New Day members Xavier Woods and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston in a six-man tag team match against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and Dolph Ziggler on Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live in Sacramento, CA at the Golden 1 Center.

Big E had been out of action with a torn meniscus since April. He suffered the injury on the April 9th episode of SmackDown while working a six-man tag team match alongside Woods and Kingston against Cesaro, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre.

Now, with Big E back on television, it appears that he’ll support Kingston during his time as the top champion on SmackDown Live alongside Woods.

WWE presents the Stomping Grounds pay-per-view event on Sunday, June 23 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA that will air on the WWE Network.

At this show, Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against Dolph Ziggler inside of a Steel Cage.

Big E Comments On Possibly Becoming Becky Lynch’s Step-Father

The appearance of Becky Lynch’s mother on social media recently has had quite the impact on New Day’s Big E. The multi-time WWE tag-team champion was involved in a Twitter back-and-forth with Becky Lynch yestereday, who was serving as the go-between for him and her mother.

Big E has since called into the Busted Open Radio show to further profess his love for “Mama Lynch.” He also commented on possibly becoming the new step-father to the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch.

Big E and Mama Lynch

“(Becky Lynch) clearly approves of me thinking of her mom in this light,” Big E said on Busted Open Radio. “She even made a reference to me being her new step-father.”

Big E noted that Becky Lynch is grown now so he would not have to contribute financially to raise her. He then commented on how he plans to court Mama Lynch.

“I don’t know exactly all of her likes, needs, and turn-on and turn-offs,” E continued. “But I’m going to get to the bottom of all of that.”

E then went back to the topic of possibly becoming Becky Lynch’s step-father.

“I am currently childless,” Big E clarified about his parental status. “So that’s a good way to start. If you’re going to start with your first child, have her be a champion! And it’s ready-made, I don’t have to wait 20 years for her to be turn out to be something decent, she’s already there!”

Big E then cut a “Sexual Chocolate” style promo while Mark Henry offered his approval.

New Day Members React To Kevin Owens Betrayal

This past Tuesday on SmackDown Live, honorary New Day member, Kevin Owens, would turn on both Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston.

Owens, who has a long history of turning on friends and tag team partners, showed his true colors once again. The attack would begin after the former Universal Champion nailed Kofi Kingston with a superkick. He would then deliver an impactful powerbomb to the apron onto Xavier Woods, who Owens had been performing commentary moments earlier during Kingston’s matchup against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Now the entirety of the New Day, including currently injured member, Big E, have reacted to the situation. Taking to Twitter, each member shared their thoughts and opinions on Kevin Owens and his actions.

“There Will Be Hell To Pay”

Woods would describe Owens as a “complete garbage human”:

His stablemate, Big E, described him as a “parasite,” adding that his “greatest joy” will be coming back to dole out a beating on KO.

“KO is the parasite in the system that desperately clings on to its host for life. Once its sucked all of the nutrients it can out of its host, it seeks another. I only take pleasure in knowing the virus has been detected & @TrueKofi & @XavierWoodsPhD will stomp out the organism.”

“My greatest joy will be returning in time to stomp the life out of the already lifeless roach myself.”

Current WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston, took a more thoughtful approach. He addressed the New Day giving Owens a chance, even when no one else would. He then promises that there will be hell to pay because of his most recent betrayal.

“Sometimes you feel compelled believe in someone and give them a chance, even when no one else will. As unpopular a decision as it may seem at the time, you give them the benefit of the doubt…And Then that person proves everyone right. Mark my words, there will be Hell to pay.”

Big E Out With A Torn Meniscus

Big E has suffered a knee injury and will be out of action for the foreseeable future.

The big man was in action Tuesday night on SmackDown Live. Big E, Xavier Woods and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston faced Drew McIntyre and The Bar. The New Day was victorious, but it might be the last we’ve seen of Big E for a while.

On Thursday, Big E tweeted a message revealing that he damaged his meniscus during a crossbody spot, presumably at Tuesday’s taping:

WWE has confirmed Big E suffered a torn meniscus and is not medically cleared for action.

We wish Big E a speedy recovery and will provide an update when more details become available.

Xavier Woods Discusses WWE’s Treatment Of New Day And Kofi Kingston (Video)

Kofi Kingston was recently screwed out of an opportunity to face Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35. This led the team to briefly discuss the idea of quitting — an idea that Kofi quickly nixed.

Big E, however, chose to vent his frustrations. In a video uploaded to Twitter, he sadly states that “people like us will only get so far. […] You can climb the mountain. They’ll let you climb the mountain, but as far as getting to the peak and staying at the peak – it’s not a thing that people like us, historically and moving forward clearly, can only get so far.”

Now Xavier Woods has provided his thoughts on their current situation.

“Its Definitely Showed Me Which Direction I Need To Go In”

Speaking from the Game Developers Conference (GDC), Woods addresses the unfair actions of Vince McMahon from Tuesday night. He also highlights that, like Big E, he needs to do what’s best for him and his family. He’s just not sure WWE fits into that anymore.

“I’m sure you guys saw what happened this past Tuesday to Kofi. You probably watched the video that [Big] E did and he, kind of, said it best, so I’m just gonna echo those sentiments,” he said.

“We have other things that we enjoy doing. We have other skills. Me? I love video games. I’m a part of this community and I love this community with all of my heart, and this community loves me back. That’s a relationship I’m willing to be in.”

“Constantly being treated in the way that we, New Day, has been treated and will most likely be treated from here on out…I just want to say that I appreciate what you did Vince, thank you very much. Because its definitely showed me which direction I need to go in to take care of myself and to take care of my family.”

With the New Day teasing quitting, and both Xavier Woods and Big E uploading videos to their personal accounts to address the unfair situation, this blending of reality and fiction adds a new dynamic to the story as people continue to clamour for Kofi-Mania on April 7th.

Big E Reacts To Kofi Kingston’s SmackDown Loss (Video)

Daniel Bryan proved to be too much of an obstacle for Kofi Kingston this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live. After having endured a gruelling gauntlet match against five of SmackDown’s top Superstars, Vince McMahon would then insert “The Planet’s Champion” as a surprise sixth entrant.

It was just too much for an exhausted Kofi who, in losing the gauntlet match, has now lost his opportunity to face Bryan for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35.

The New Day regrouped backstage on Tuesday night, with Big E and Xavier Woods discussing quitting WWE — an idea that Kofi shot down.

Big E recently took to his Twitter account to upload a video of his thoughts on the situation. The video covers a lot of ground, with Big E lambasting WWE as he says that The New Day finally “understand the game.”

“If This Is All We Will Ever Be? I Don’t Know If It’s Worth It”

Big E believes that it doesn’t matter how good you are, how much your hone your craft and “jump through all the right hoops,” or how respectful you are as a professional and individual — to him the idea that if “You do everything, you check all the boxes, you show up in shape—you do everything that’s asked of you in this business —that if you do all those things you have a good chance of making it to the top” is a lie.

He goes on to say that “people like us will only get so far. […] You can climb the mountain. They’ll let you climb the mountain, but as far as getting to the peak and staying at the peak – it’s not a thing that people like us, historically and moving forward clearly, can only get so far.”

Clearly deflated from all these challenges being placed in front of his friend’s dreams, Big E would tease the idea of leaving WWE, contemplating whether all this hard work and being away from family for “250 days plus a year is worth it.” He ends the video by stating, |[…] obviously proud of Kofi, proud of us as a trio, proud of what we’ve done, but if this is all we ever be? I don’t know if it’s worth it.”

Kofi Kingston is on a trajectory similar to that of Daniel Bryan’s journey leading into WrestleMania 30. With authority figures doing everything to stop Kofi getting his opportunity, it will be interesting to see how they eventually make Kofi vs Bryan official. One thing is for sure, however: the WWE Universe want Kofi-Mania.

Big E Says Kofi Kingston Will Get WWE Title Opportunity At WrestleMania 35

Big E has made it known that he thinks Kofi Kingston will get his chance to challenge for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 35 despite the outcome at WWE’s next pay-per-view event. Kevin Owens is slated to challenge Daniel Bryan for the strap at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event.

This wasn’t the original opponent for Bryan at this show. Kingston was supposed to challenge for the strap but that all changed when Vince McMahon announced that Owens would replace Kingston during a contract signing.

While doing a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Big E stated that no matter who wins at Fastlane, Kingston will get his opportunity at Mania.

“That’s a diplomatic answer,” Big E responded to Kofi. “I was going to say I don’t care. I hope they beat the living heck out of each other because Kofi is going to get his opportunity at WrestleMania. That is the point. These are the people who are pawns. These are the people who are interchangeable faces. Of course they are tremendous talents. Daniel Bryan is arguably the greatest in-ring technician of all time. But it’s not about Daniel Bryan, it’s not about Kevin Owens. It’s about Kofi.”

Big E would continue by stating that Kofi has been in the WWE for 11 years and never got a WWE Title Match. This opportunity is for Kingston to fulfill his promise. He wishes Owens and Bryan well in their match but it doesn’t matter come WrestleMania.

Kairi Sane Reacts To Surprise Main Roster Appearance, Big E On Names Of RAW Stars Being Changed

Kairi Sane Reacts To Main Roster In-Ring Debut

WWE NXT star Kairi Sane tweeted about making a surprise appearance this past Saturday night in Vancouver, BC at the Rogers Arena at a WWE live event where she made the save for Carmella. For those who may have missed it, Sane and Carmella teamed up in a match to defeat Peyton Royce and Billie Kay at the show.

She wrote, “Last weekend, I participated in the #SmackDown Live house shows for the first time. Everyone was really kind and it was such a moving experience. Thank you so much for giving me this great opportunity Ahoy??”

This isn’t the first time that Sane has worked with main roster talent as she competed in the second edition of the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in Phoenix, Arizona.

Big E On Names Of RAW Stars Being Changed

Fans who were watching Monday’s episode of RAW noticed that Heavy Machinery’s Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight have become the two latest stars to undergo a name change as they are now just going by Otis and Tucker.

Former WWE Tag Team Champion Big E noticed this change and decided to tweet about it when he wrote, “Welcome to the club, boys. Silver lining: autograph sessions are much quicker.”

Xavier Woods Says Customs Agent Refused To Believe He Isn’t Kofi Kingston

Xavier Woods is having an interesting trip to Malaysia. Upon arriving in the country, Woods says he had a rather interesting interaction with a customs agent. Woods described the encounter on his Twitter account:

“Landed in Kuala Lumpur Customs agent: You’re with WWE Me: Yea CA: Kofi Kingston Me: Nah I’m the other black guy CA: hmm, so you’re not Kofi Kingston Me:
No CA: (Takes me to a shady side room) Guys, pretty sure this is Kofi Kingston and he just doesn’t wanna tell me”

It does appear Woods was allowed into the country without incident, however.

Xavier Woods Left Up To His Own Devices

Woods is an adventuristic superstar. On Friday WWE was in Manila in the Philippines. Woods did not take long to become enamored with the country:

“JUST GOT OFF THE PLANE IN MANILA AND I ALREADY HAVE A PET CHICKEN AND A BAG OF SODA – DO NOT LEAVE ME TO MY OWN DEVICES

Xavier Woods On Survivor Series Raw vs Smackdown Scoring

Woods was not happy following Survivor Series recently. While the Smackdown tag-team division defeated the Raw tag-team division on the pre-show, WWE neglected to mention this when touting Raw’s “clean sweep” over Smackdown on the main PPV.

Woods sent out the following in regards to the controversial brand vs brand scoring:

New Day Wants To Face The Elite More Than Any Other Team

Current SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The New Day are arguably the best trio in professional wrestling today. The squad consisting of Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods have proven dominant over the past several years. The New Day have faced the best tag teams WWE has to offer.

However, there’s one team that sits above all that the three men have yet to share the ring with. That team being New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor’s The Elite (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega). The two teams had a run-in with one another at E3 earlier this year. Their chemistry as entertainers got fans excited about a possible professional wrestling program.

New Day member Kofi Kingston spoke about this on a recent media call to promote tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live. Here’s what he had to say:

“It would be The Elite. It would be The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. I think it’s something that from the moment we came out, people were like, ‘Oh, is this going to happen? I mean, The Young Bucks and Kenny, and The New Day, there are three of you’.

“They are so talented, and they’ve been able to do so many cool things all over the world, especially in Japan, which are… the way they’ve been able to do those cool things. I think it’s kind of a fantasy match-up that people have been waiting with bated breath to see.

“But, you never know what’s going to happen in the WWE. Never say never, and I hope that it does happen at some point in time, but I guess we will have to wait and find out.”

What do you think about a potential New Day vs. Elite match?

Big E Calls Out Sheamus For Being A “Bully”

Things just got real between SmackDown Live stars Big E and Sheamus on Twitter. Earlier today, Big E took to Twitter and dished out a personal story about “The Celtic Warrior.” The SmackDown Live Tag Team Champ said he met the Irishman back in 2009 when he was getting his start in WWE.

Big E then claimed that Sheamus would visit FCW and “bully” the new kids and listen to the boys tell him how great he was:

“I met Sheamus in 2009. I was 23 & he was significantly older. Although he was on the main roster, he used to come down to FCW to bully the new kids & hear the boys tell him how great he is. In those days, it violated wrestling etiquette to swing on him. Etiquette be damned.”

Sheamus didn’t hesitate to respond, and called The New Day member’s story “BS”:

“In this fairytale I see you scribing this tweet a with quill, wearing a smoking jacket, and surrounded by many leather bound books. Any more from Big E’s BS Stories of Yore?”

What do you make of Big E and Sheamus’ Twitter beef?
