  • Big Show Wrestles After RAW, Hogan Birthday Celebration, UK-WWE Network

    – The WWE Network will premiere in the United Kingdom on October 1st.

    – Hulk Hogan’s appearance next week on RAW will be a Birthday Celebration with special guests. Hogan turns 61 next Monday.

    – After Monday’s WWE RAW from Austin, Texas went off the air, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H left before the ring was cleared and The Bella Twins helped to the back.

    The dark main event saw Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Big Show defeat Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins in a six-man match.

    This is the second consecutive week that Big Show wrestled after RAW.

    What Happened After RAW: Stephanie-Brie, Big Show Returns To Action

    After Monday’s WWE RAW from Houston, Texas went off the air, WWE officials escorted Stephanie McMahon and Brie Bella to the back, separately. Brie got a big pop from the crowd on her way out.

    The dark match main event saw Big Show return to action, teaming with Dean Ambrose to defeat the team of Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper were at ringside. The finish came when Big Show chokeslammed Wyatt.

    Sin Cara Debuts New Look (Photos), Big Show/Bella Added To NXT Taping

    – Big Show and Nikki Bella have been added to the lineup for this Thursday’s NXT taping at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

    – Sin Cara debuted new ring gear at the WWE live event this past weekend in Dallas, Texas. Check out photos of his new look below.

    Former World Champion Returns In Dark Match At SmackDown Taping

    WWE Superstar Big Show made his return in an un-televised appearance at the WWE SmackDown television taping on Tuesday night in Orlando, Florida.

    After the taping concluded, Kane issued an open challenge that Big Show came out and accepted. The two had a quick match, which Big Show won via count-out.

    Big Show has been off of WWE television for a while, as he has been filming the WWE Studios film, “Vendetta.”

    – The Big Show will be returning to WWE television later this month. He’s been away taping the WWE Studios film Vendetta.

    – WWE is sending several top stars to the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con event later this mont onOn Thursday, July 24th.

    At 10:15 am, Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan, Paul Heyman and Michael Cole will be hosting a panel to promote the WWE Network and WWE’s Mattel toy line.

    At 7 pm, WWE Studios will host a panel to promote See No Evil 2 and Leprechaun: Origins. Kane and directors Jen and Sylvia Soska will talk about See No Evil 2, while , Hornswoggle and director Zach Lipovsky talk Leprechaun.

    Spoiler: Two Main Events For WWE Battleground Leaked In Local Advertising

    Early advertising for the WWE Battleground pay-per-view, which is the next show following Sunday’s Money In The Bank, has been released in the local Tampa market and may have already spoiled two of the matches planned for the show.

    According to the ads in Tampa, Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton and Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose will be taking place at Battleground.

    Also advertised to appear at Battleground are John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Kane, RVD, Sheamus, Cesaro, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Bad News Barrett and Kofi Kingston.

    STAMFORD, CONN. and NEW YORK, June 26, 2014 – WWE® and FOX Sports today announced that Celebrating Champions: 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, a one-hour television event chronicling the passion, dedication and determination of America’s most inspiring athletes during the week-long celebration of the 2014 USA Games, will air on FOX Sports 1 this Monday, June 30 at 7 pm ET. The special, produced by WWE, will be hosted by Mike Hill and Molly McGrath of FOX Sports 1’s America’s Pregame. Customers of participating video providers can also watch via FOX Sports GO, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content through iOS and Android devices, as well as on desktops through FOXSportsGO.com.

    The one-hour special will highlight six Special Olympics athletes as they travel from their hometowns to the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games. Viewers will experience a first-hand account of the excitement and pride each athlete exudes while training for, traveling to, and participating in the Games.

    The special will include the following six athletes:

    Theo “TC” Bazile, a 40-year-old from Vacherie, Louisiana, is a track and field athlete in sprints and shot put. Theo is very involved his community, where he volunteers at the local nursing home and fire department, sings in his church choir and remains active with his former high school football team.

    Erica Bookout is a long-distance runner from Christiansburg, Virginia. The 22-year-old is a Junior at Radford University in Virginia majoring in Special Education. She is also the 2013 Special Olympics Virginia Athlete of the Year.

    Andy Miyares, a 31-year-old from Miami, Florida, has competed in multiple sports, but has a passion for swimming and holds numerous records in the sport. He works for Special Olympics Miami-Dade and speaks both Spanish and English. In 2010, Andy was selected to serve a four-year term as one of just 12 Special Olympics International Global Messengers chosen from around the world to represent Special Olympics.

    Derrick and Delon Noble, identical twin brothers from Bloomfield, New Jersey, compete in flag football. At 21-years-old, Derrick is the Quarterback and Delon is the Running Back. In addition to playing in the 2014 USA Games, during the last two weeks they’ve attended prom, seen their images on a Times Square billboard to promote the Games and graduated from high school. The twins were also honorary captains at a Rutgers football game last fall.

    Scott Rohrer, a 24-year-old from York, South Carolina, is the 2010 Special Olympics USA Games Gold Medal Golfer with record scores for both 18-hole and 54-hole tournaments. Scott was also the 2013 South Carolina Special Olympics Athlete of the Year and he will be playing in Special Olympics World Golf Cup this August in Denmark.

    In addition to the athlete profiles, the TV special will include highlights from the 2014 USA Games Opening Ceremony from Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, which was hosted by actress and model Brooklyn Decker and Philadelphia 76ers point guard Michael Carter-Williams. The Ceremony included the traditional parade of athletes, athlete oaths and the lighting of the Special Olympics cauldron. Other celebrities that participated in the Opening Ceremony included WWE Superstars Big Show® and David Otunga®, TV personality Jack Ford, Glee’s Jane Lynch and musical artists Michael DelGuidice & Big Shot.

    Also included is coverage of the first-ever Young Athletes Festival, held at the Special Olympics New Jersey Sports Complex. Children between the ages of two and seven, and their families, were invited to learn more about this program which provides critical early childhood development through the power of play.

    Founding Partner WWE has helped promote the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games through its global platforms, including TV broadcasts, live events, digital and social media, all of which increased the exposure of Special Olympics and reached a larger and more diverse audience. The partnership was announced in 2013 during WrestleMania® 29 in front of more than 80,000 fans at a sold-out MetLife Stadium in New Jersey and millions more watching around the world.     Big Show is set to take some time off as a regular television character for a while. He is currently filming the WWE Studios film “Vendetta.”

    Since he was earmarked for it, the company chose not to use him much as of late, as to not get him involved in any key story lines that they couldn’t fully pay off.

  • Randy Orton Missed RAW Due To Injury: How Serious Is It?

    The reason Randy Orton didn’t appear on WWE television this week, despite working the weekend non-televised live events, is because if a collarbone injury he suffered during his match with Big Show on 6/10.

    On Monday’s RAW, WWE pushed the idea that Orton missed the show because he was on vacation, with the mindset being that as a heel, it made more sense to portray the situation that way, as opposed to explaining that he was injured.

    Orton’s injury isn’t that serious and he’s not expected to miss any significant ring time. He’s still scheduled to be back on television for next Monday’s RAW from Cleveland, Ohio.

    Celebrities In Attendance At RAW, Big Show & Del Rio On RAW Fallout (Videos)

    – Indianapolis Colts NFL player Trent Richardson, as well as Chris Copeland from the NBA’s Indiana Pacers were among the celebrities and athletes in attendance at Monday’s post-Payback edition of WWE RAW.

  • VIDEO: Big Show Speaks On Weight Loss, Tonight’s RAW, Danny Bonaduce

    Big Show appeared on the local FOX morning show in Indianapolis, Indiana today, the site of tonight’s WWE RAW, to discuss the post-Payback edition of the show.

    During the interview, Show revealed that his weight peaked at 537 lbs., but that he now currently weighs 425 lbs. “You get older and you learn to eat healthier and you want to live longer,” said Show of the weight loss.

    The WWE Superstar also told the story of how child-actor Danny Bonaduce helped start his career in pro wrestling, and offered his final hype for tonight’s RAW.

  • WWE Signs 6-Movie Deal With Lions Gate Films

    Investment site SeekingAlpha.com has announced that WWE Studios has signed a deal with Lions Gate Films to co-produce six new action movies.

    WWE Superstar Big Show will star in the first movie under the new partnership.

    WWE Films and Lions Gate have worked together before, producing movies with mixed success.

    (Spoilers) WWE Superstars Taping Results For This Week

    The following are results of the matches taped for this week’s edition of WWE Superstars. The matches took place prior to Monday’s WWE RAW show, which was taped in the afternoon at the O2 Arena in London, England.

    – Big Show def. Titus O’Neil in the opening match of the evening. Show ended up picking up the win via pin fall after hitting O’Neil with a chokeslam.

    – Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) def. Cody Rhodes (with Goldust) via submission in the main event of the show. The finish saw Swagger lock Rhodes up in his Patriot Lock submission hold, forcing him to tap out.

  • NXT Stars On Overseas Tour, HHH/Stephanie In Rome, Changes To The Tour

    – NXT stars Bo Dallas and Adrian Neville are on the current WWE European tour. Neville defeated Dallas at the live event last night in Glasgow, Scotland.

    – Triple H and Stephanie McMahon arrived in Rome early on Wednesday to do some sight-seeing before the WWE tour kicked off with the live event in Glasgow.

    – With Daniel Bryan off of the European tour, the new main event was scheduled to be Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns in some markets and Big Show vs. Kane in a “Last Man Standing” in others. With Reigns suffering an injury last night against Orton, it’s unknown whether or not those matches will continue as planned.

  • Chris Masters Trashed For Cesaro Comments, No SmackDown Post-Show This Week

    – Once again, there will be no WWE SmackDown post-show on the WWE Network this coming Friday night. There will, however, be the usual pre-show prior to SmackDown.

    – As previously reported, former WWE Superstar Chris Masters claimed in a recent interview that he feels Cesaro did not legitimately slam Big Show at WrestleMania XXX earlier this year. He claims Big Show jumped for him, and even went as far as to say if Cesaro can slam Big Show, he could press him over his head. Masters ended up taking a lot of backlash for his comments on Twitter, which finally led to him posting the following tweet:

  • Details On Changes To The WWE European Tour Due To Daniel Bryan’s Injury

    WWE kicks off their European tour today with their first stop in Glasgow, Scotland. With Daniel Bryan off of the tour due to injury, here is the updated list of talent that is scheduled for this part of the tour: Kane, The Shield, Big E, Rob Van Dam, Bad News Barrett, Big Show, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Paige, Layla, Fandango, Cameron, Naomi, Jack Swagger, Zeb Colter, Sin Cara, Rusev, Lana and more.

    Originally, Bryan vs. Kane in a “Last Man Standing” match was being advertised, but with Bryan’s injury, that is obviously off the table. As of right now, no new opponent or match for Kane has been announced.

    Also advertised for this leg of the tour is a six-man tag-team match featuring The Shield vs. Randy Orton, Ryback and Curtis Axel.

    – During an interview at Rodolforoman.com, former WWE Superstar Chris Masters questions whether Cesaro actually “slammed” Big Show at WrestleMania to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal:

    “I am pretty sure Big Show jumped for him. Not to take away anything from Cesaro he looks like a talented worker who can probably bring his work down a little bit and his body up, but that’s just my opinion. If he slammed the Big Show than I can probably press the Big Show.”

    – The WWE Network’s next ‘Beyond The Ring’ special will premiere this Saturday night at 8pm EST and features the Big Show.

    – Former NXT star Adam Rose made his WWE television debut on Monday’s RAW in a brief segment with Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger. Rose did not wrestle and his physicality was limited to clearing Jack Swagger from the ring. According to PWInsider.com, the decision for Rose to not wrestle in his first appearance was made so his character can be slowly introduced to the audience.
