Big Vito Calls The 24/7 Championship The Worst Thing On WWE TV

Many believe that the 24/7 Championship is the best thing going on in WWE right now, however, there is at least one wrestling veteran who believes otherwise.

Former WWE and WCW Star Big Vito recently had an interview with WrestlingInc where he discussed the current landscape of professional wrestling and more.

While discussing the recently introduced 24/7 Championship, the former WWE Star claimed that it’s the worst thing going on because it makes wrestlers look like boys:

“The 24/7 title is the worst thing that they got going because they make all those professional wrestlers chase after that title and they look ridiculous. They look like boys. You don’t go chasing around people as a comedy routine to get a title,”

Vito then explained that the company should have brought the TV title back instead and have it defended with prestige, unlike the 24/7 title.

According to him, Officials should have had the TV Champion defend the title on Raw, SmackDown and NXT every week and people would have watched that because they would have wanted to see who will be their next TV Champion.

Big Vito’s WWE run lasted from 1991 to 1993. He then went on to wrestle for both ECW and Memphis Wrestling before being signed by WCW in 1999.

Apart from this, Vito also talked about AEW having its own unique concept and featuring stars who have not had any major exposure yet. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Big Vito Asks Former Superstars To Join His Class Action Lawsuit Against WWE

Former WWE and WCW wrestler Big Vito LoGrasso is calling on other former WWE Superstars to join his class action lawsuit against WWE.

He posted the following on Facebook:

ATTENTION TO ALL FORMER WWF, ECW, WCW, WWE WRESTLERS.

I know all have there view points on this lawsuit. But, if you never stick up for your self, you never know what can be and what cant.If you were in DEEP SOUTH and OVW as a developmental talent, you also have rights. If you have problems and think you need help, Please join the lawsuit I am in litigation in. If you have medical records, you are positively ahead of the game.

IF YOU WERE A ENHANCEMENT TALENT IN THE WWF, you also qualify.

If you think you are irritating the WWE and think if you join, you will ruin your chances, the bussiness has changed guys, if they have not called you in 5 years, they are not calling you. This is a chance for benefits , the same as in the NFL lawsuit. No one knew, but a Billion dollars divided up for the guys who put there time in and have some issues, now have relief. I am standing up for myself, and all of you. I was never a follower always a leader. So follow me guys and join.

I hope the internet guys post this to there sites, TMZ . The WWE will definitely see this and to know that I will be going on TV soon in a tell all, is just proof that you gotta believe in you and the sacrafices you made in life. As you know, you had to be tuff, never say your hurt, if you were , you lost your spot. There are some good people and some WWE HOFers involved and signed on as well. I hope this post makes it back to the right people.

I will be heard and know one thing, I dont bullshit and I speak the truth, when the truth comes out, it isnt a very nice place. Here is the name of the lawyer, his name is Bill Kyros , his number is 1 617 833 3727. Call him and tell him I sent you. Good luck guys and join the fight for rights you deserve. This is a brotherhood that we all seem to have forgotten about.

Big Vito & Evan Singleton’s WWE Contracts: How Much Were They Paid?, PPV & DVD Pay

The WWE contracts of “Big” Vito LoGrasso and Evan Singleton have been released as part of their current lawsuit against the promotion.

Big Vito’s main roster WWE talent contract included a $75,000 downside guarantee while Singleton’s developmental deal was for $31,000 per year with an additional $2,000 paid for moving expenses for Singleton to move from Pennsylvania to Florida.

Vito’s cuts of live events and pay-per-view events were left up to WWE, but licensing products based around his likeness saw him receive 25 percent of the net sales, and products such as DVDs where the talent was the featured performer saw them earn five percent of the total sales.

Big Daddy V’s Widow Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against WWE

Cassandra Frazier, widow of the late Nelson Frazier Jr., (Big Daddy V, Viscera) has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against WWE on the one-year anniversary of his passing.

The lawsuit states that WWE did not warn its’ performers about concussions or head injuries, and states that the company allowed Frazier to wrestle with pneumonia despite the fact that he suffered from diabetes, an enlarged heart and obesity.

Frazier’s lawsuit plays on similar themes of other lawsuits filed against WWE by the likes of Billy Jack Haynes and Big Vito LoGrasso.

WWE has yet to comment on the lawsuit.

  • Former WWE Star On TNA Sale, WCW Reunion Show, Goldust’s Return, Ryback

The following are highlights from a recent WZRtv interview with former WWE Superstar Big Vito:

On the sale of TNA: “There is so much financial debt that I think they’re so consumed with that. They tried every different angle to change things. They haven’t had any success. When you change heads of the departments, you change the people who run it. It’s the same thing that happened with WCW and it’s the same thing happening all over. You change, change, change, change.”

On Dixie Carter: “From what I understand, [Hulk] Hogan and [Eric] Bischoff are out now [and] it’s Dixie Carter running it. Dixie Carter, she might be a nice lady [but] she’s not groomed in the wrestling business. She’s been talked to and talked around, ya know, manipulated in the wrestling business, but she doesn’t know the wrestling business. She’s not the Jarrett’s. She’s not Hulk Hogan. She’s not anyone who’s had that kind of pedigree. This has nothing to do with being a man or a woman. When you’re not brought up in the wrestling business from the bottom up and you don’t know, you’re going to spend a lot of money and do a lot of stupid things. I’m not saying she’s a stupid lady. I’m not saying she’s dumb. She’s probably very smart in other areas, but this is the wrestling business. If you’re not groomed in it from the bottom up and polished, how do you not know what kind of product to put out? Another knock against TNA is they’ve had the same talent for 10 and 12 years. There’s only a handful of guys that’s been with the WWE for 10 or 12 years.”

On Vince Russo: “Well from what I know, Vince Russo, me and him back in the day, I helped him start out in the wrestling business and he helped me get into WCW. When he was in TNA, I was there when he was there. When he left, you know, I left. And then really just a couple of phone calls here and there, but ya know, nothing of nothing. I mean, he mentioned me in his books, he mentioned me in a nice way. I appreciate it, but as far as friendship and all that other stuff, ya know, he’s his own man. He does things his own way. He never returns a phone call, just like a lot of guys, but you know that’s Vinnie Russo and I can’t say nothing bad about him. He gave me my chance in WCW, and people remember [this] — giving somebody a chance doesn’t mean they gave you a spot. When you get a spot you have to earn it and I carried the ball and I ran with it, just like I did in every organization. I never was on the bottom, I always rose to the occasion and came to the top. So anybody who thinks that somebody gives you something — they can put you in any spot in the business, but if you don’t carry the ball, then you ain’t doing nothing. I carried the ball in all my positions, in all my companies and I’m very happy and very proud of my time. Whether it was in ECW with Da Baldies as Vito Skull LaGrosso, or Big Vito in WCW, Big Vito in TNA or Vito “The Toughest Man To Wear A Dress” in WWE.”

On Johnny Stamboli and a WCW reunion show: “Johnny Stamboli is still wrestling. He’s doing his own thing and he’s got his private life. He’s doing very well. You know everybody still asks when are The Mamalukes coming back and you know that would probably be one of the best things to happen if they ever had a WCW reunion show.”

On the current WWE product: “I think that the gimmicks they’re putting on are interesting. The guys are doing a good job down in NXT developing these guys. They have a lot of new faces [and] they’re trying to make new stars, but at the end of the day they’re still going with the name guys. You have the big names and they’re making the angles around them and you can’t change that. People wanna see them.”

On the WWE return of Goldust: “They brought back Goldust for a reason, ya know? Not because he was Dusty Rhodes’ son, ya know, Cody Rhodes or whatever. That’s Goldust. He’s the best gimmick in all of wrestling. That’s one of my favorite gimmicks. He is a gimmick and that’s something you wanna watch.”

On John Cena: “You know everybody can say what they want about [John] Cena, but that guy is still drawing money. Whether you love him or hate him, he gets a reaction.”

On Ryback: “They brought Ryback in, you know? Ryback was up and then he was down. If I could work a program with him, you’d never hear Big Vito complain about how he ever got [hit] too hard. I would love to work with that guy because it’d be a hart-hitting thing.”

On the way wrestlers come up in WWE these days: “A lot of guys who they’re bringing up today, like the problem they had in the past, they don’t have that experience and they’re not polished. They’re pushing guys up and you can’t learn everything from wrestling school. You gotta go out there and earn it and do it and when they try to polish you up and put you out there before you’re ready, sometimes it doesn’t come off as good as it can be.”

Credible Talks DiBiase’s WWE Departure, Styles/TNA; Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy

SESCOOPS.COM reader Phil Johnson sent along the following:

Former ECW Champion Justin Credible has posted a new blog at PWMania.com. This week Credible talks on Ted Dibiase’s WWE departure, Monday’s Raw, AJ Styles’ TNA contract, Ring of Honor, among other topics. Matt Striker and Rick Cataldo are this week’s special guest on Justin Credible’s Pro Wrestling 101 video series. Here is an extract from “The Justin Credible Report:”

“I was really surprised that Ted DiBiase Jr. will not be resigning with the WWE. It’s not like he has a lot of options in the wrestling business. There has to be more to this than meets the eye. I mean he has everything that the WWE looks for. He’s talented, young, good physique, and he’s a third generation wrestler. I know he hasn’t been on TV in a while, but he had tremendous upside, and even starred in a WWE movie. It speaks volumes to me about how things are from a performer’s perspective on the main roster. I’m sure he will be back in the WWE at some point in his young career.”

SESCOOPS.COM reader Shannon Rose sent along the following:

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Grand Opening of Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy

(Clearwater, FL) August 27- The big day has finally come. I am officially opening my Wrestling Academy- Big Vito’s Wrestling Academy. I am very honored and privileged to be doing this. I have learned from the best and been taught by the greats in our sport. The one thing I was taught from day one is pass it on. I understand it. I have helped many very quietly for a long time. Now, I get to help make the next generation of stars. Teach wrestling the one way, the right way. I may be a perfectionist, no nonsense, hard nosed, tough on you guy, but its for your own good.

Plenty of guys always ask me to watch their match, I never told them what they did good, I told them what they need to work on. Some can take it, others complain about it. The ones who took my advice got better, and the others, they are in the same place doing the same thing with the same people.

I have the credentials to teach you how to become a pro. At my academy, I want you to live and see what I have seen, do as I have done. Go from the bottom to the top, feel the excitement of the crowd, become a champion, be the best, have the respect from your peers, know when you walk in the room, you get people’s attention just from your presence. Become the one who people measure up to and say, “I want to be better than him”. My training methods are proven as I have taught people all around the world.

This will become the place to be, a unique place. There are some fine schools out there. This is an academy. You will learn 2 things: Discipline and Wrestling. You will become regimented: Eating habits, training habits, wrestling, mixed martial arts, the business side of things. You will leave there the complete package. You will not leave there without the skill and mindset needed to become a Pro. You will be able to take care of yourself anywhere in the world today. No matter what style there is, you will be able to compete. If you come there with a dream, I will make sure I do all I can to help you live it. Does not matter what you look like in the beginning, in the end, you will look like a pro wrestler.

I tell everyone the same thing: Not Everyone Makes It. It is true. Who is someone else to tell you that you can’t? That is not allowed in my academy, everything is “I Can”. Never let anyone stop you from your dream. It is your life. If you let people dictate to you what you can and can’t do, then you might as well be a puppet. Every challenge in life is something. I have taken all the chances, I am not afraid. I made something of myself. You can do the same at my academy. I am currently doing movies, commercials and still wrestling. The school becomes a part of my everyday life. I am the only trainer at the school. I will train you. No one else. Hands on. If you have heart like Big Vito, you can do anything. I have done everything.

Training sessions can be viewed by parents. I want to make this something good in the community as well. I would like to work with kids also in the afternoons. There will be an afternoon program for them. Or, if you think your son or daughter needs some tough love, bring them in. They will be taught respect, school work is important, clean your room, and be polite to your parents. Another thing you will learn from here is you will be able to stand on your own 2 feet in life, you will be able to handle not just wrestling but life in it self. You can’t put a price tag on that.

There will be giveaways and trivia on August 31, 2013 at 1pm at Spa 24 in Clearwater, Florida. I have many sponsors who have donated different items to make this a fun filled day.

    Hope to see you soon!
