Bobby Lashley Reveals Details Of His Shoulder Injury Prior To WrestleMania

There were a lot of rumors surrounding Bobby Lashley’s shoulder injury before WrestleMania 38. The All Mighty dropped the WWE championship to Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber, ending his reign in just 21 days due to it. It was believed that the reigning US champion will have to take time off for surgery, and he will miss the Show of Shows. However, he made his return just in time for Mania and competed in a singles match against Omos.

Lashley opened up about his injury during a recent interview with The Masked Man Show. He revealed that he had a 75 percent tear in his rotator cuff and his labrum was torn. Everyone, including Vince McMahon told him to get surgery:

“I tore my shoulder two months before WrestleMania. I couldn’t even raise my hand. I kept that quiet. I took like three weeks off and I said, I have to make it to WrestleMania.” said Bobby Lashley, “I called Vince [McMahon], Vince was like, ‘Ah, let’s take off. Let’s go get surgery,’ spend four months off and everything like that. I was like, ‘I can’t do that. There’s no way I’m gonna do that.’”

Bobby Lashley recalled how he stayed home for a couple of weeks but the time off wasn’t suiting him. So he decided to start rehabbing and managed to get cleared by WrestleMania:

“I started rehabbing and I got back in and then I made it for WrestleMania. I mean there’s no downtime. Every other sport has off-season. We don’t have an off-season.”

Lashley also talked about his US title win over Theory. Bobby said that he will defend his title in an open challenge on this Monday’s episode of Raw.

Bobby Lashley Retains WWE United States Title at SummerSlam

WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley made his latest title defense against Theory at SummerSlam.

Theory jumped him before the match. The match was a typical big man small man match. Lashley missed a spear and ate the turnbuckle. The finish saw Lashley catch him and hit his finisher. It was a short match.

Theory lost the United States Title at Money in the Bank to Lashley, who went over after reversing the ATL and applying the hurt lock, scoring the submission victory.

The following Monday night on Raw, Theory stated that after he won the United States Championship at SummerSlam, then he would beat whoever was left standing after the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight title match to become the biggest champion in company history.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into the Clash at the Castle pay-per-view event on September 3.

What are your thoughts on Bobby Lashley retaining the United States Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

WWE Champion Approached About Possible Mike Tyson Fight

One current member of the WWE roster has been approached about a possible showdown with Mike Tyson.

Tyson may be 56 years old but he is more marketable than ever before. The former undisputed heavyweight champion of boxing has become a pop culture icon.

This of course has many promoters fawning to try to get him to fight again. Back in Nov. 2020, Tyson took on fellow boxing legend and Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout.

While a winner wasn’t determined, the general consensus is that Tyson got the better of Jones.

Could a WWE superstar be next for “Iron” Mike?

Mike Tyson vs. Bobby Lashley?

Bobby Lashley is the current WWE United States Champion. While his MMA days have been behind him for a few years due to his WWE exclusivity, he hasn’t lost the itch to compete again.

Promoters are aware of this, which is why he was approached with an offer to fight Mike Tyson.

Fightful was told by Lashley that a rep from a bare-knuckle boxing company put out a feeler to see if such a bout would be possible.

Lashley said that the promotion in question had listed Madison Square Garden in New York City as a possible destination. Fightful wasn’t able to confirm which company approached Lashley.

Even though Lashley would be clearly outmatched by Tyson on the feet, “Iron” Mike isn’t a spring chicken these days. TMZ Sports recently recorded footage of Mike Tyson moving around NYC with a cane.

The outlet received word that Tyson is dealing with a sciatica flare-up. The source for TMZ claimed that this wasn’t due to a new injury, but rather wear and tear over the years.

The Street Profits want a Former WWE Champion in Their Stable

The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) have been a major success in tag-team wrestling since debuting in WWE in 2016.

The pair have held tag-title gold on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, and are considered one of the best tag teams of the modern generation.

The Hurt Profits

Speaking to WWE Die Woche this week, the Street Profits were asked about whether their group will grow.

Montez Ford was quick to suggest Bobby Lashley as a possible third man in their team, and even had a name for their possible stable.

“Me and Dawks share this long time, like years of bonding. We share so many of these similarities so it’s always good to work with people that [sic] have similar similarities. Bobby Lashley has a background in the military as well so I would love to see if we did work in the future; me, Dawks and him, you know, be The Hurt Profits or something like that.”

i would love to see if we did work in the future.”

Montez Ford on possibly teaming with Bobby Lashley.

What’s next for Lashley?

Lashley may one day team with the Street Profits, but for now, the All Mighty has a singles run in mind.

At Money in the Bank, Lashley captured the United States Championship from Theory, marking his third run with the title after winning in 2020 and 2006.

At Summerslam, Lashley will defend against Theory, who has vowed to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar later in the show.

Bobby Lashley Wins United States Title At WWE Money In The Bank

Bobby Lashley was the latest star to challenge United States Champion Theory for the title at the WWE Money in the Bank event from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The match was a typical big man vs. small guy match with Theory using his quickness and Lashley using his power. Theory did a dive off the apron, but Lashley caught him and rammed him into the ring post. They did some near falls down the stretch. The finish saw Lashley reverse Theory’s finisher and put him in the hurt lock.

WWE set up this bout on the June 20th episode of Monday Night Raw after Lashley won a gauntlet match, eventually pinning Theory to earn the title match. This came after Lashley interrupted a Theory posedown by squirting oil on Theory so Theory got the gauntlet match booked.

Lashley had to beat three opponents to get the title match.  Lashley beat Chad Gable and Otis in separate matches, but the two attacked Lashley after Otis was beaten. Theory came out as the third and final entrant, butlost after Lashley countered the ATL with a small package.

On the April 18th edition of Raw, Theory beat Finn Balor to win the US Championship.

What Happened After June 13 WWE Raw Went Off The Air

Another episode of WWE Raw has come and gone.

Fans got to see a Money in the Bank qualifying match between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. Riddle took on Ciampa, while Veer Mahaan went one-on-one with Rey Mysterio. Another MITB qualifier involving Alexa Bliss and Liv Morgan vs. Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop also took place.

The June 13 episode of WWE Raw ended with a pose-down between Bobby Lashley and WWE United States Champion Theory.

Once Cameras Stopped Rolling

At the end of Raw, Theory blindsided Lashley by spraying baby oil in his eyes and dropkicking him out of the ring to close the show.

Once Raw went off the air, the two had a match. Bobby Lashley emerged victorious but the WWE United States Championship did not change hands.

After the match, Lashley posed for fans.

It appears Lashley is set on challenging Theory for the United States gold. With that said, the bigger picture for Theory is a potential showdown with John Cena at SummerSlam.

It’s been reported that WWE has been eyeing a match between the two for July 30 inside Nissan Stadium. Theory and Cena have hinted at making the match happen.

Cena is scheduled to return to WWE on the June 27 episode of Monday Night Raw.

Bobby Lashley Challenges Brock Lesnar to WrestleMania 39 Match

Bobby Lashley has officially thrown out the challenge to Brock Lesnar for a WrestleMania 39 match next year in California.

Lashley was recently a guest on WWE’s “The Bump” this week, and talked about a showdown with Lesnar at “The Show Of Shows” next year. “The Almighty” said it’s going to be a huge stage, and he and Lesnar still have a score to settle.

“We’re in L.A. next year, right, for WrestleMania? If we’re in Hollywood it’s a big matchup.

“For me, I’ve always had these really tough challenges going into WrestleMania, which, of course this one- it has to be another big one.

“Me and Brock [Lesnar], we still have a little score to settle. I have a win over him and then he ended up winning my title back but we’re not done. We’re not done.”

Lashley has been calling out Lesnar for a match for years now. He’s even suggested the pair compete against one another inside the mixed martial arts (MMA) world, as both are decorated inside the cage.

However, their paths have never crossed in either sport. Currently, Lashley is feuding with Omos and MVP on Monday Night RAW. Lashley will face Omos at the upcoming Hell In A Cell event in Chicago.

Lesnar hasn’t competed or been on WWE TV since his WrestleMania 38 defeat to Roman Reigns in Dallas, Texas this past April. He dropped the WWE Championship to “The Tribal Chief,” who now reigns as the WWE and Universal Champion, working both brands.

Should WWE decide to book a match between Lashley and Lesnar next year at WrestleMania, the potential is certainly massive.

It will be interesting to see if the two monstrous athletes ultimately cross paths before their time in the professional wrestling business is done. Lashley is currently 45-years-old, while Lesnar is 44.

What Happened After May 23 WWE Raw Went Off The Air

The May 23 episode of WWE Raw is in the books but some important movement took place after the USA Network airing.

In the main event of Raw, Asuka took on Becky Lynch in a rematch. The stipulation was that if Becky won, then she’d be added to the Raw Women’s Title match at Hell in a Cell on June 5.

Asuka ended up accidentally kicking Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in the head, causing a distraction. Asuka almost got counted out but it didn’t matter as Becky rolled up Asuka for the pinfall.

It’ll now be Belair vs. Asuka vs. Becky at Hell in a Cell.

MVP’s Stipulation Revealed After Raw

Fans also witnessed MVP defeat Bobby Lashley thanks to interference from Omos. As a result, MVP got to lay down the stipulation for Lashley vs. Omos at Hell in a Cell.

Before MVP could get a word out, however, Lashley got him in the Hurt Lock.

When the show went off the air, WWE held its Raw Talk show. During the show, MVP announced that it’ll be him and Omos vs. Bobby Lashley in a handicap match.

Cody Rhodes Addresses WWE Universe

As far as the live crowd post-show is concerned, Cody Rhodes spoke to the fans in attendance. This was after he had a dark match in which he pinned Seth Rollins. He took pics with as many people as he could after the match.

Original Plan for this week’s Steel Cage Match Between Bobby Lashley and Omos

WWE was going to collapse the ring as part of their original plans for this week’s Steel Cage match between Bobby Lashley and Omos.

On Raw, the two competed in a match Lashley won, after being thrown into the wall of the cage which collapsed under his weight.

According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, the match was supposed to feature a spot where the ring collapsed but this was nixed.

Will Lashley-Omos III be Inside Hell in a Cell?

While Lashley got the win this week, his victory was far from clean, and he and Omos are still tied at Premium Live Events.

Lashley got the win at WrestleMania 38 while Omos defeated “The All Mighty” at WrestleMania Backlash in Lashley’s first televised pinfall loss in seven months.

While a rubber match seems likely to take place at Hell in a Cell, the question is whether the match will take place inside the Cell itself.

WWE currently has just one Cell match confirmed for the June 5, Premium Live Event: Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins.

This week’s Steel Cage match was Omos’ first time inside a structure and may have been a test to see how he’d fair inside Hell in a Cell.

What Happened With Bobby Lashley After SmackDown Went off the Air?

Happy Corbin lost his smile after facing Bobby Lashley in a post-show match following last night’s SmackDown.

During last night’s episode, Corbin continued his feud with Madcap Moss, attacking his former tag-team partner with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy.

After SmackDown went off the air, Corbin faced Lashley, who made quick work of the former United States Champion. Lashley delivered multiple spears to Corbin to send the crowd home happy.

What’s next for the All Mighty?

At WrestleMania Backlash, Lashley lost to Omos, marking the All Mighty’s first televised pinfall loss in seven months.

Prior to last weekend’s Premium Live Event, Lashley’s previous pinfall loss was at Crown Jewel 2021, where he fell to Goldberg in a No Holds Barred Falls Count Anywhere match.

With Lashley and Omos now tied for wins on Premium Live Events, it’s believed that a rubber match will take place at Hell in a Cell on June 5.

The question now is whether the expected rematch will happen inside Hell in a Cell, as Omos is still relatively new to WWE, having had under 100 matches throughout his entire wrestling career, and may not be ready for the iconic stipulation match.

Lashley is undefeated inside Hell in a Cell, having won two matches inside the Cell last year.

MVP Plans To Drop Diss Track On Bobby Lashley

MVP is looking to get back to the studio to drop some heat at the expense of Bobby Lashley.

On WWE TV, things have gotten ugly between the two. MVP turned on Lashley and aligned himself with Omos.

Lashley defeated Omos at WrestleMania 38 but the disgruntled manager got fed up since he felt “The Almighty” brushed off his assistance for far too long.

MVP Prepping Diss Track

MVP has taken to social media to reveal that he’s cooking up a diss track aimed at Bobby Lashley called, “Fall Mighty.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CdXIHgoOkCn/

Omos and MVP got some revenge on Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash. Omos ended up getting the pinfall thanks to interference from the former two-time WWE United States Champion.

Bobby Lashley has had enough of the shenanigans and has called for a Steel Cage match with Omos on the May 16 episode of Monday Night Raw. The idea is that MVP won’t be able to interfere but many are skeptical.

Lashley and MVP were a heavily praised duo, forming The Hurt Business with Shelton Benjamin and eventually Cedric Alexander. WWE broke up the faction but kept Lashley and MVP together.

MVP even stuck around for a little bit after Lashley turned face.

Bobby Lashley Falls Out of Ring Following Rope Break at WWE UK (Video)

Bobby Lashley had a scary accident during his match with Drew McIntyre in Newcastle, England on Thursday.

During their bout, as both men hit the ropes, all four of the top turnbuckles of each ring post collapsed, bringing the top rope down as well. As a result, Lashley went flying out the ring, as this occurred while he was hitting the ropes. Lashley appeared to land badly on his head, but was able to get back up and finish the match.

Check out a video of the incident here:

Luckily, Lashley was able to finish the bout and leave the arena under his own power. He and McIntyre even teamed up after the match to beat down Sami Zayn.

Thankfully, Lashley ended up being okay, joking about the incident on Twitter after the fact.

The fans also got to enjoy several other great matches on the card; including Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sheamus, Gunther vs. Sami Zayn, and Sasha Banks vs. SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

As for Bobby Lashley, he’s currently embroiled in a feud with Omos, who he defeated in singles action at WrestleMania 38. MVP then turned on Lashley, aligning himself with Omos, and the two men will rematch at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash event on May 8.

Three More Big Matches Added to WWE UK Tour

Three more big matches have been added to the WWE UK tour coming up later this month.

WWE will be running shows from the Utilita Arena on Thursday, April 28 in Newcastle, England; The O2 Arena from London, England on Friday, April 29; the Accor Arena from Paris, France on Saturday, April 30; and finally the QUARTERBACK Immobilien Arena in Leipzig, Germany on Sunday, May 1.

Earlier today, WWE confirmed several matches for the Newcastle and Leipzig shows. First, former WWE Champions Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will be going head-to-head. Also, current SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will take on Sasha Banks. In what should be a real treat, RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro will be taking on SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos. And finally, Sami Zayn will go one-on-one with Gunther.

We also mentioned last week that WWE announced three big matches for their respective shows in London and France. Check them out here below:

  • Undisputed WWE Champion Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre
  • SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey
  • SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro

It should be noted that WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi, Gunther, and Bobby Lashley are also advertised for those shows. More so, the SmackDown Live taping on Friday, April 22 from the MVP Arena in Albany, New York has a special start time of 6:30pm ET.

This indicates that the show will be a double taping, meaning the April 29 episode of SmackDown Live will be pre-taped as WWE is running their shows in the UK.

Booker T Reacts to WWE Splitting Up MVP & Bobby Lashley

Two-time WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T has offered his thoughts on WWE making the decision to split up the pair of Bobby Lashley and MVP.

Lashley made his first in-ring return at WrestleMania 38 since the Royal Rumble, taking on Omos. Lashley defeated Omos in the singles bout, but the giant came out on Monday Night RAW the following evening to challenge “The Almighty” to a rematch. However, MVP attacked Lashley, turning on him.

This came as a bit of a surprise considering the pairing was doing very well together, as MVP was even by Lashley’s side during his run as WWE Champion. However, WWE made the decision to finally split the pair up, instead aligning Omos with MVP, and the former United States Champion now serving as his manager. Speaking on his “Hall Of Fame” podcast, Booker T offered his reaction to the decision.

“It’s not for me to like it or not,” Booker said (via 411Mania). “I thought The Hurt Business did some really good work. With MVP at the helm throughout the pandemic, and definitely put a light on that group.

“I really believe MVP was the spark behind Bobby Lashley, I really do. I always thought perhaps Bobby needed that frontman to actually do that part of the work for him. Then he go out and be the clean-up man in the middle of that ring.”

While Booker admits MVP did a lot for Lashley’s character, he also notes that Omos might benefit from MVP’s help as well at this point in his career.

“Omos is definitely a person that may need a little help in that department as well. I think MVP is definitely the right man for that job right now, that he’s doing.”

MVP Explains Why He Turned On Bobby Lashley

The Raw after WrestleMania is usually a show of surprises. One such big surprise was when MVP turned on Bobby Lashley on this year’s show, and aligned himself with Omos instead. Sarah Schreiber caught up with the former champion after the show.

She asked him about his motivation behind this move. Replying to it, MVP explained that Bobby Lashley had forgotten who helped him become the All Mighty. On the other hand, Omos needs someone to help him unlock his true potential:

“The All Mighty Bobby Lashley, this force of nature. Somewhere along the line he forgot about the conversation we had in that warehouse all those years ago. See, all I did was help the All Mighty remember what he was capable of doing.

But somewhere along the way he forgot about who helped him get back on that path.” said MVP, “Now it’s all about, ‘What I did. I’m the Almighty, I did this, I did that.’ Omos, he’s in need of someone that can help him unlock his potential. To truly be the monster that he is. I think I’m just the man to do that.”

Bobby Lashley wrestled his first match since Royal Rumble at WrestleMania 38. He defeated Omos in a singles match. This week’s Raw then saw The Franchise Playa introducing Lashley and cutting a promo. Omos came out and challenged Bobby to a rematch. However, MVP turned on the All-Mighty before the match could begin.

Bobby Lashley Returns on WWE Raw to Set Up WrestleMania Match With Omos

Bobby Lashley is back on WWE television as he returned on Monday Night Raw to make his match against Omos official at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas this weekend.

Omos squashed The Viking Raiders, Erik and Ivar, on the show, which ended quickly and awkwardly as Omos won via count out when Erik failed to make it back in the ring after getting hit with a clothesline. It appears that was not the finish and Erik may have been injured.

Lashley made his return following the match and got manhandled by Omos. Lashley fought back and took him off his feet. They both pointed at the WrestleMania sign.

This was expected as it was reported the former WWE Champion was returning on this show to set up the match. There had been some concern that Lashley may not be cleared in time for the match, but obviously, he’s good to go for Mania.

Lashley has been out of action since WWE Elimination Chamber in February where he suffered a storyline concussion, which was done to cover up his shoulder injury with the expectation that he would need surgery, but he didn’t undergo the knife.

Bobby Lashley’s Return Date Apparently Set

Bobby Lashley has not been seen on WWE programming since the Elimination Chamber PPV. Latest reports suggest that he might be returning to TV soon.

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, the former WWE champion is expected to make his return to WWE on this Monday’s episode of Raw from Pittsburgh.

Lashley is rumored to face Omos in a singles match at WrestleMania 38. It’s likely that this match will be set up during the go home episode of the red branded show.

The All-Mighty has been out of action since the Royal Rumble PPV in January. He suffered a shoulder injury in his match with Brock Lesnar at the show.

While Bobby Lashley was officially a part of the Elimination Chamber match, WWE did an angle to remove him from the bout before the action started.

  • Bobby Lashley Reveals Why He Retired From MMA

The former champion has been rehabbing his injury since then. Though he hasn’t had a surgery which is a good sign for the Raw star.

Apart from Lashley, both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar are scheduled for this week’s Raw. The show will also see RK-Bro going up against The Usos in an inter-brand champion vs champion match among other.

Bobby Lashley Still Not Medically Cleared, Despite WrestleMania Plans

WrestleMania 38 is just one week away, but Bobby Lashley’s status for the event remains unclear.

Lashley has been out of action since January’s Royal Rumble. The Almighty captured the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar (with help from Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns), but he suffered a shoulder injury during the match and hasn’t wrestled since.

The shoulder injury was so bad that it was feared that Lashley would require major surgery. That procedure never took place. WWE officials have been making plans for Lashley at WrestleMania. He’s slated to face Omos at the event, if he’s healthy.

The fact that WWE has yet to announce Lashley vs. Omos this late in the game says a lot about where things stand. As of this week, Lashley is not medically cleared to wrestle, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

In the event that Bobby Lashley is not cleared over the next several days, WWE will have to act on contingency plans for Omos.

Check out the link below for the current match card for WrestleMania, as well as start times and how to watch the event depending on your region.

Injury Updates on Two Top Stars Headed into WrestleMania

We have injury updates for two top WWE Superstars less than two weeks out from WrestleMania 38.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has been dealing with a legitimate shoulder injury since January. Bianca Belair has been off television following a recent attack by her WrestleMania opponent, Becky Lynch.

Bianca Belair Injury Update

Bianca Belair is scheduled to challenge Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania Saturday.

Last week on Raw, Lynch viciously attacked Belair by wrapping a chair around her head and ramming her into a ring post.

WWE.com ran an article stating that Belair would be out of action for an unspecified amoutn of time after suffering a “fractured hyoid bone” in her throat.

Belair did not appear at this week’s Raw, but fans can rest assured that she will be “healthy” in time for WrestleMania. The injury is purely a storyline. She was kept off Raw to sell the injury. She will be back in time for WrestleMania, where she hopes to avenge a stunning loss to Big Time Becks last year at SummerSlam.

Bobby Lashley Injury Update

The Almighty Bobby Lashley’s injury is legitimate. He’s been dealing with a shoulder injury since January when he wrestled Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

Lashley was in Dallas at AT&T Stadium last week (according to Pwinsider) and WWE officials are hopeful that he’ll be healthy in time for WrestleMania. Lashley does not have a match booked for the show, but it’s rumored that he’ll be facing Omos.

Bobby Lashley Out For Months With Shoulder Injury, Needs Surgery

Bobby Lashley will need to take time off if one report holds true.

Lashley entered WWE Elimination Chamber as the WWE Champion. He did not leave Saudi Arabia as the titleholder, however, as Brock Lesnar outlasted the opposition.

During the match, WWE ran an injury angle with Lashley. Some speculated it was done to protect Lashley and have him face Lesnar on night one of WrestleMania. It looks like that isn’t the case.

Former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide revealed on The Ringer Wrestling Show that Bobby Lashley has been legitimately hurt since Royal Rumble.

According to Famuyide, Lashley suffered the injury during his WWE Title match with Brock Lesnar last month. We haven’t seen him wrestle on WWE Raw since then, which should have been a sign something was up.

Lashley will most likely require shoulder surgery, which would keep him out of action for around four months. The timing of the injury is less than ideal since we are on the road to WrestleMania.

There has already been speculation running rampant on how Lashley suffered the shoulder injury. Some are pointing to “The Destroyer” landing awkwardly on his shoulder off a German suplex from Brock Lesnar during their title match back in January.

Keep it locked on SEScoops for updates on Bobby Lashley’s reported injury situation.

Brock Lesnar Wins WWE Title At Elimination Chamber

WWE stacked the deck in storyline against Bobby Lashley when he put his WWE Title on the line against Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory, Riddle, Seth Rollins, and AJ Styles in an Elimination Chamber Match at the themed PPV event on Saturday afternoon (February 19, 2022).

The match was saved as the main event with Theory and Rollins starting it off. Rollins powerbombed Theory through one of the pods. Lashley was in the pod and WWE did an injury angle to get Lashley out of the match.  It was said that Lashley was in concussion protocol. Riddle was the third entrant and then Styles and finally Lesnar. Lesnar eliminated Rollins and Riddle with the F5. Moments later, Styles was given the same fate. Theory and Lesnar were last to remain. Lesnar with an F5 off the top of a pod.

The stars in the match earned their way in by winning qualifying matches on the January 31st edition of Raw. Theory beat Kevin Owens with the ATL while Riddle defeated Otis and tyles defeated Rey Mysterio. Rollins Rollins declared his entry for the Chamber match on the Kevin Owens Show.

As far as Lesnar goes, he was added to the bout during the opening segment of the show when he challenged Lashley to a title match that night, but Lashley declined. Adam Pearce then just announced Lesnar for it.

There had been some speculation about WWE doing a champion vs. champion bout between Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for their match at WrestleMania 38. That’s exactly what is happening.

Update on Bobby Lashley’s WrestleMania 38 Booking Plans

WWE RAW Superstar Bobby Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar to win back the WWE Championship at this weekend’s Royal Rumble event.

Lashley won the match when Roman Reigns interfered and re-aligned himself with Paul Heyman, setting up a showdown between the Head of The Table and the Beast Incarnate at WrestleMania 38.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match would headline the night, and Lesnar would take the win in the 30-man contest.

With all of that happening, it leaves Lashley and his WWE Championship in a bit of a void ahead of the WrestleMania event in Dallas, Texas.

Bobby Lashley WrestleMania 38

WrestleVotes recently revealed that WWE still do not know what the situation is regarding the WWE title and who Lashley will be facing at ‘Mania.

They tweeted: “Lesnar had to be the winner here. I’m told they legitimately have no idea what the WWE Title match at Mania is going to be at this point. Avoid the old pigeon hole.”

We’ll hopefully get more of an indication of who Lashley will face at WrestleMania in the coming weeks, with his opponent possibly set to be decided at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia.

Bobby Lashley Wins WWE Title At Royal Rumble

After years of speculation of what the match would be like, Brock Lesnar stepped into the ring with Bobby Lashley with the WWE Title on the line at the Royal Rumble event.

The match saw Lashley hit a german suplex Lesnar on his head after some clinch work. Lesnar did it to Lashley. Lashley hit two straight spears before missing the third one and going through the barricade.

Lashley locked in the hurt lock, but Lesnar got out of it. Lesnar hit the F5, but took out the referee. This led to Roman Reigns coming out to hit a spear to Lesnar then connected with a title shot after Paul Heyman gave him the championship. Lashley pinned Lesnar to win the WWE Title.

Lashley got the title match when he defeated Big E, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens in a fatal four-way number one contender’s match in the main event of the January 3rd edition of Monday Night Raw. Lashley pinned Owens to win the bout.

Lashley was the only wrestler in the match that Lesnar didn’t hit the F-5 on while Lashley gave Lesnar a spear through the barricade at one point in the match and hit a spear on Lesnar for a second time in the ring for a near fall.

“The Beast Incarnate” became the WWE Champion by defeating Big E, Rollins, Owens, and Lashley in a fatal five-way match at Day 1 after he was added to the match at the last minute due to Roman Reigns testing positive for COVID-19. Reigns had been scheduled to defend his Universal Championship against Lesnar.

Bobby Lashley: “Roman Reigns Is The Best In The Game Right Now”

After almost 17 years in the business, Bobby Lashley has started to understand that wrestling is about more than just impressive-looking moves. He believes that it’s about telling a story and that’s why the All-Mighty thinks that Roman Reigns is the best wrestler in the business right now.

The former WWE champion was recently asked about his training routine during his appearance on The Pat McAfee show. Replying to it, Bobby explained that his training is the same but as time has gone on, he has started putting more thought into his character work. He also offered some big praise to The Tribal Chief:

“Roman is the best in the game right now because he’s the best storyteller. He has incredible character. He sticks to his character and he makes everything that he does mean more.” said Bobby Lashley, “So as you go on in your career [you understand that]. When you’re young, you want to throw everything out there.

When you start getting to the point of really just understanding what it’s kind of about [you think more]. Mine is [that] I’m mean. So I throw a few mean things in there like the whiplash when I sling the guy against the pole and everything like that. That’s just dirty and that’s mean. As I’ve gotten further in my career, I just think of things to make my character better, not just another cool move that I can throw out there.”

Bobby Lashley is currently scheduled to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship at the Royal Rumble PPV this Saturday. You can check out the betting odds for the PPV here.

What Bobby Lashley Would Like To Do After Retirement

Bobby Lashley doesn’t want to be a rickety old guy in wrestling but he doesn’t seem to have any plans of hanging up his boots anytime soon either. The All-Mighty recently had an interview with Ringer Wrestling. He mentioned how many fighters get in the ring past their prime wanting one more match while they can’t even move properly.

Lashley explained that he doesn’t want to be that guy. He has told his coaches not to let him be the old guy out there. According to Bobby, he will take a step back when he can’t give his 100% anymore:

“Once I can’t give you 100% of everything I have, I’m gonna take a back step and I’m going to do something else. I’m going to do some coaching or help some of the younger guys. I’m not going to be one of those guys who are rickety trying to hang on to my youth. I’m going to be sitting on the beach, doing yoga, just enjoying life and spending time with my kids,”

Bobby Lashley On When He Will Retire

Though as far as when that time may actually come, Bobby Lashley doesn’t have an idea right now.  The 45-year-old mentioned how 50 seems to be the natural cut off point for him. At the same time, he doesn’t see a reason to hang up his boots as long as he can keep up his appearance:

“I’m like, ‘I don’t believe I should be wrestling when I’m 50 years old,’ but I feel so good now that I don’t know. If I’m feeling as good as I feel now, two years from now, there is no reason why I can’t. If my appearance fades or I can’t keep on the weight or run with these kids the way they are coming up, I’ll take note of that.”

The former WWE champion again mentioned how he is feeling 100% right now and he believes he can run through anybody in the roster. Bobby Lashley is currently scheduled to challenge Brock Lesnar for his WWE championship at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV this Saturday on January 29.
