Bobby Lashley Talks Desire To Face Brock Lesnar, Which WWE Stars Could Make It In MMA

Bobby Lashley continues to make it pretty clear that he wants to fight Brock Lesnar.

The former ECW Champion recently spoke to Boston’s 98.5 The Sports Hub to talk about various topics. In this interview, he gave some insight into his desire to fight the former WWE Universal Champion.

As for the reason, he said that it’s to finish business as there are a lot of reasons. He noted that in order to display his wrestling ability, he wanted to be on a big stage and the WWE is just that.

He brought up the fact that he is on the RAW brand now and Lesnar is the champion of that brand.

“I’ve been training and training and ever since I started the business everyone’s kinda compared Brock and I so I think the match needs to happen at some point in time.”

Lashley also talked about which WWE star could make the transition into MMA. He noted that believes everybody has an opportunity to make the jump because they don’t necessarily have a wrestling background or boxing or anything like that they’ve just picked it up and have been training for years.

He pointed out Chad Gable as he is an Olympian and due to him having a great work ethic. He added that Authors of Pain could make the jump due to one being a Kickboxing World Champion and one guy’s a multiple-time wrestling champion.

“As far as other guys on the main roster, I think a lot of guys have the opportunity to do it. Since I’ve been in the ring with these guys, some of these guys are just tough beyond what people actually know of. I mean Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe. I think Samoa Joe would definitely be able to do it. Samoa Joe is great at kickboxing, he’s super aggressive — he’s tough. Shelton Benjamin, I think there’s a handful of guys who could possibly do it.”

Referee Tells Bobby Lashley To Flip His Headband Over During WWE RAW Match (Video)

There was an interesting spot on WWE Monday Night RAW involving Bobby Lashley.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center on the USA Network, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle revealed that the upcoming multi-man match at Extreme Rules had been nixed.

It was then announced that Lashley will take on Roman Reigns in a singles match at Extreme Rules.

This led to a tag team match being booked for the next segment that saw The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) beat Reigns and Lashley.

During the match, Lashley was waiting to get tagged in and the Nike logo was clearly visible on his headband. This led to the referee going over to Lashley and tells him to flip it over.

Jim Ross Reveals Who He Thinks Has Potential To Be A Main Event Heel In WWE

WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross recently took to his podcast, The Ross Report, to offer his thoughts on what’s going on in the word of professional wrestling today. On the subject of this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Ross discussed two stars who he thinks have potential to be main event heels in the company.

Good Ole’ JR named former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley and former NXT Champion Bobby Roode as the two stars with the biggest heel potentials:

“Their persona makes me think heel first. And so sometimes when the average Joe, like me or you, look at somebody and we think “villain” it’s hard to get us to change our opinion of that personality, but I think in the long run, there’s money in Bobby Lashley and Bobby Roode both as main event-level heels in WWE.”

Ex-WWE Superstar Opens Up About Her Relationship With Bobby Lashley

Ex-WWE Superstar Kristal Marshall recently did an interview on former WWE security head Jimmy Noonan’s podcast, the Noonan Speaks podcast. During the show, Marshall discussed her past relationship with current WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley.

Marshall revealed the relationship started back in 2007 and confirmed that they never married:

“That [relationship] came about… let’s see… at the beginning of 2007.” Marshall considered, “I’d say about, no, no, that happened WrestleMania 2007. That’s when we started dating and that happened quick! Lots of things happened quickly at that time.

“I have never been married in all of my adult life.” Marshall elaborated, “my name is Kristal Marshall. It has always been Kristal Marshall. I’ve never been married. We were engaged. We had a very long engagement. We’ve had two kids together, but there was no wedding. That didn’t happen and I don’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. It just didn’t happen.”

She also revealed that she dated Matt Striker for a period of time during her run, and said it’s almost impossible to not date someone you’re working with in WWE:

“I did date Matt Striker for a brief period of time when I was wrestling.” Marshall continued, “it’s kind of impossible to not date someone you work with unless you’re married outside of the business and all of that. That’s impossible.

“That’s kind of how you figure out things and then you leave the wrestling business and you look back at the wrestling business and say, ‘what the f–k was that? That was f–king weird s–t. What was I doing?’ Yeah, that did happen.”

Marshall then discussed being bitter about her departure from WWE:

“There was a time when, like I said, I was super bitter, very upset.” Marshall professed, “I felt like when I left, there [were] a lot of things that I set out to accomplish that I didn’t. There was a point where I felt like certain girls got more opportunities and boo hoo hoo this and that. But do you know what?

“Like I said, I’ve done a lot of work on myself and there are a lot of f–king things that Can be really happy for. And there [are] a lot of s–tty things that happen in the business, but nothing’s f–king perfect. The wrestling business is one giant dysfunctional family and there’s like one cousin you can’t take anywhere, like a drunk uncle, there’s your slutty cousin.

“There’s somebody that fits every dynamic of a family, but the one thing that’s very interesting about wrestling as much as everybody hates it, everybody did hate it or had mixed feelings about it, if you ask anybody if they had any good moments in wrestling, they will always say, ‘yes’ and they will always smile if you ask them, ‘what was the best part of your [pro wrestling] career?’ There will always be something positive.”

As for her separation from Lashley, Marshall admitted she went through a tough time but was able to work on herself through meditation and gratitude:

“Yeah, I went through some difficult times, for sure. The hard thing about [pro] wrestling is that you think it’s going to last forever and you feel like the high that you get when you’re interacting with the fans, being the celebrity, all of that, there’s a certain level of arrogance that I feel like I carried outside of the business into real life and it doesn’t translate well!”

Marshall continued, “life happens. Bobby and I were together. We had kids, and, after we split, I found myself trying to figure out, ‘what am I going to do? What’s next for me?’ So I started working some corporate jobs and things never really stuck.

“Eventually, I went to cosmetology school and got my license to do hair and makeup. Thank God for that! It allowed me to be creative and do a version of what I love doing, which is art and painting, which has kind of been able to carry me over to this place where I’m at now.

“I know there are probably a lot of wrestling fans out there that assume once you stop wrestling you’re loaded and that you’re going to live comfortable. There are a lot of wrestlers that probably feel that way as well, but that’s just not life. And it was such a beautifully humbling experience as well.

“It was really f–ked up. I got super depressed. I’ve been battling depression and anxiety truly ever since I left the wrestling business and I can tell you that there is no medication that can fix depression, anxiety, that’s an internal job. Meditation, which is still very new for me, it’s an ongoing practice. It [has] helped tremendously. And gratitude! That’s what I’ve been talking about tonight. Like, nothing’s perfect, yes, but look at the positive. Gratitude [has] helped me immensely.”

Former WWE Superstar Reacts To Lashley Sister Segment, Daniel Bryan Threatens Samoa Joe (Video)

Former WWE Superstar Reacts To Bobby Lashley’s “Sister” Segment On RAW

This past Monday’s segment on RAW featuring Bobby Lashley, his three “sisters,” and Sami Zayn was very poorly received by fans. Many in the crowd were booing during the segment, and a lot of people disliked it because they interpreted it as Lashley attacking transgenders.

Former WWE Superstar Ken Shamrock recently took to Twitter to offer his thoughts on the segment. Here’s what he had to say:

Daniel Bryan Threatens Samoe Joe

Renee Young recently interviewed Daniel Bryan after picking up a win over Jeff Hardy on SmackDown Live. As a result of his win, he’ll challenge Samoa Joe in a Money In The Bank (MITB) qualifying match next week.

Joe recently said in an interview with Young that he’d put Bryan to sleep. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion said that Joe only says that to people who are afraid of being put to sleep – and he’s not. He then threatened to put Joe out-of-action for 6-9 months by tearing his ACL with the same heel hook he took Big Cass out with:

Why The Sami Zayn & Bobby Lashley RAW Segment Was So Bad

Earlier this week on Monday Night RAW, Sami Zayn “exposed” former ECW World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashely by interviewing his three sisters. Instead, Zayn brought out three indy wrestlers dressed as females, who mimicked Lashley’s sisters based on his stories about them.

Lashley later came out to interrupt things and wound up beating down Zayn and the three men dressed up as his sisters. The segment was received very poorly and fans were booing during the whole thing. It also faced some controversy as many interpreted it as Lashely beating up transgenders.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed this segment and all the heat it received. Alvarez said the segment was designed to be bad and WWE hoped for all the heat it’s currently receiving. WWE was apparently hoping the “train wreck television” would boost viewership a bit.

Alvarez also noted that Lashely beating down the three men dressed as women was not designed to be a transgender thing. WWE simply wanted Lashely to beat down a few indy guys, as the company doesn’t allow man on woman violence.

Corey Graves Praises Eric Bischoff’s Podcast, Bobby Lashley Reacts To RAW Segment

Corey Graves Praises Bischoff’s New Podcast

Recently, former WCW President Eric Bischoff has released a new podcast, 83 Weeks, with Conrad Thompson to talk about his run with WCW. The podcast has received great reviews from wrestling fans and personalities alike.

Add Graves to the list of people who enjoy this show, as he recently took to Twitter to praise the show:

Bobby Lashley Reacts To RAW Segment

On last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Bobby Lashley had a segment with Sami Zayn after Zayn interviewed Lashley’s three “sisters” (who were actually three male indy wrestlers dressed as women).

The segment was very poorly received and got a lot of boos from the crowd throughout. Lashley took to Twitter shortly after the segment aired and had this to say:

Discussion: What were your thoughts on the segment with Lashley, Zayn, and the three sisters? Is it the worst in RAW history?

Identities Of Bobby Lashley’s Sisters From WWE RAW Revealed

WWE officials decided to book an interesting segment involving Bobby Lashley and Sami Zayn.

As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Albany, NY at the Times Union Center NY on the USA Network, Zayn was part of a segment that had him bring out Lashley’s three sisters as a way to try and expose him.

It turned out to not be Lashley’s actual sisters but rather it turned into a parody segment. Thus, it did not get over very well with the fans in attendance or those watching from home.

We do know the identities of two of the wrestlers playing Lashley’s sisters. Jessica was played by independent wrestler “Mr Everything” Victor Andrews while Frances was played by wrestler Max Caster, who currently works for the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy.

MVP On Turing Bobby Lashley Heel, Interesting Miz vs. Jeff Hardy Stat, Vader

MVP On Possibly Turning Bobby Lashley Heel

Former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley is back in the WWE fold but it doesn’t seem like his return has garnered as much attention as the company would’ve liked. Lashley seems to have formed an alliance of sorts with Braun Strowman as they recently took out Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn together at Backlash.

One fan on Twitter suggested that WWE turn Lashley heel as it would benefit his better in regards to a crowd reaction. The fan also noted that he’d like to see former United States Champion MVP return to be Lashley’s mouthpiece. MVP took to Twitter to respond to this possibility – simply replying with “intriguing”

Interesting Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz Stat

Last night on SmackDown Live The Miz took on Jeff Hardy for a spot in the upcoming Money In The Bank Ladder Match. The Miz wound up winning the contest and qualifying for the bout.

WWE Stats & Info posted a very interesting fact about the pair on Twitter, revealing their match last night was only the second time ever they’d shared the ring together in one-on-one competition:

Vader Update

WWE and WCW Legend Vader revealed on Twitter that he recently underwent another heart surgery to repair an irregular heartbeat that put him at higher risk of heart attack or stroke. Vader noted the operation was a success:

The Reason WWE Can’t Mention Bobby Lashley’s First Run With The Company

Former ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley made his return to the WWE last month on the night after WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans when he interrupted Elias and delivered a massive Suplex.

As of late Lashley seems to have developed an alliance with Braun Strowman on Monday Night RAW, as the pair defeated Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at last night’s Backlash pay-per-view (PPV) event.

One thing that some WWE fans are wondering about, however, are why commentators on RAW aren’t mentioning Lashley’s previous success with the company. Per Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, it turns out that they want to flush out his relationship with current United States President Donald Trump.

Trump, who is a WWE Hall Of Famer in the celebrity wing, is currently a very controversial figure in the country. He selected Bobby Lashley to represent him at the Battle Of The Billionaires for WrestleMania 23 over 10 years ago.

Although this happened over a decade ago, WWE doesn’t seem to want to offend anybody by bringing up Lashley’s past and possible rekindling the memory that Lashley and Trump were aligned together on WWE TV.

Watch: Kevin Owens’ Father & Roman Reigns Exchange Words Ringside

Last night’s crowd in Montreal, Canada showed a ton of love for their fellow Canadians – but Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens received some major pops. Roman Reigns’ promo opened up the night but was soon interrupted by Jinder Mahal, Zayn, and Owens – all of whom wanted a piece of The Big Dog.

Ultimately all three men jumped Reigns and Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman came out for the save. This led to a Six Man Tag Team match being made later on in the night between the teams of Reigns, Strowman, and Lashley vs. Owens, Zayn, and Mahal.

The match actually proved to be a very entertaining one, and during a physical exchange outside by Owens and Reigns, Owen’s father (Terry) and The Big Dog playfully exchanged words.

Reigns was working on Owens agains the fan barrier when the pair began jawing off at one another. You can check out the video here below:

Recently Returned Star To Be Added To Championship Match At Greatest Royal Rumble?

It appears that Bobby Lashley could be added to the upcoming Fatal Four Way Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event.

Lashley made his surprise WWE return 2 weeks ago on the Raw episode following WrestleMania 34 where he attacked Elias and established himself as a face.

Till now there was no confirmation of him being part of the upcoming mega Live Event and some believed that he could end up in the 50 Men Battle Royal at the show.

However, PWinsider has revealed that local advertisements in the area list the former World Champion as a participant of the upcoming Championship Ladder match.

This looks to be a solid indication that the former TNA Star would be wrestling side by side with the Champion Seth Rollins and others instead of being part of the Battle Royal.

Though it’s worth mentioning that the official WWE.com page for the upcoming event still lists the match to be a Fatal Four Way between Rollins, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor and the Miz.

Apart from this ladder match, the Greatest Royal Rumble will feature several other gimmick matches as well including a casket match between Undertaker and Rusev and more.

You can check out an updated card for the event here.

Triple H On New NXT Debuts And Bobby Lashley’s Return

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw not one but 3 debuts with 4 new NXT Stars being called up to the main roster according to the Raw after WrestleMania tradition.

The Stars who were called up include former NXT Women’s Champion Ember moon, Former NXT Tag Champs Authors of Pain and the former NXT Star No Way Jose.

They all made a pretty impressive debut on the Red Branded Show. After the event, Triple H commented on their arrival via the following tweet, saying that their spot is earned:

The Game also shared his thoughts on the return of the former World Champion Bobby Lashley, welcoming the former Impact Wrestling Star back to ‘home’:

For those who don’t know, Bobby Lashley made his WWE return during this week’s episode of Raw. He interrupted Elias in a segment and then defeated the Drifter in a quick match.

On the other hand, Ember Moon came out as a surprise partner for the new Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax and the two then beat the team of Alexa Bliss and Mickie James.

No Way Jose defeated a local competitor upon his debut and the Authors of Pain answered the open challenge issued by Heath Slater and Rhyno.

Bobby Lashley Comments On His Return To The WWE

Bobby Lashley is back on WWE television for the first time in a decade.

As seen on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Smoothie King Center on the USA Network, the former WWE star made his return to WWE by interrupting Elias while he was cutting a promo and laid him out with a suplex.

Lashley, who burst onto the WWE scene with excellent size and power, made his debut on SmackDown back in 2005. During his first run with the sports entertainment company, he was a two-time ECW World Champion and one-time United States Champion. While away from the WWE, he had a successful run with TNA Wrestling.

WWE’s Youtube channel has released this video of Lashley talking about his return after the show. Here is what he had to say:

“Unfinished business. Unfinished business, completely. I’ve taken my level of wrestling and this entire business to a whole other level and I’m ready to go out here and show this crowd what I’m about. … I’m going to be bigger and badder, and tougher than ever. There’s a lot of really tough guys here in WWE at this time and I’ve got my sights set. It doesn’t matter what I post online, I always get tags saying, ‘We want to see you against so & so, we want to see you against so & so.’ So now I’m here to go and find so & so. Everybody wants the big match-ups and I’m here to make them happen.”

The Rock Reacts To Ivory’s HOF Induction, WWE Teasing Bobby Lashley?

– Last night on Monday Night RAW WWE confirmed Ivory would be inducted into the 2018 Hall Of Fame class. Ivory joins The Dudley Boyz and Goldberg in this year’s class. The Rock took to Twitter to react to the announcement of Ivory getting the Hall Of Fame nod:

– WWE recently uploaded a video on their YouTube channel of an Extreme Rules match between Bobby Lashley and Hardcore Holly from 2007. Lashley’s contract with IMPACT Wrestling recently expired and he’s expected to return to WWE soon:

Bobby Lashley WWE Update, Brock Lesnar’s Post-WrestleMania Feud

Earlier this week, Impact Wrestling executive Ed Norholm confirmed to Newsweek that Bobby Lashley is no longer with the company. Nordholm admitted that he wanted to retain Lashley, but put him over as a great talent and wished him the best in his next step.

That next step is becoming more clear. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lashley is expected to appear on WWE programming “any time now.” Upon leaving Impact Wrestling, Lashley negotiated with both WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling before settling on WWE.

Going back to late 2016, Bobby Lashley has been talking about wanting to work with Brock Lesnar. According to Dave Meltzer, Lashley might finally get his wish after WrestleMania.

“The belief is that he will work with Lesnar after WrestleMania, although those close to the situation say the working with Lesnar is not 100 percent.”

– Wrestling Observer Newsletter

During an interview with the Fight Network that aired back in October, Lashley spoke passionately about his desire to work with Lesnar – whether in the ring or in a pro MMA fight. “Of the matchups that I think I need, I think that would be a good matchup,” said Lashley. “Because right now, Brock really doesn’t have anybody to wrestle. They’re just throwing people in there.”

Lashley took issue with people who complain about Lesnar’s part-time schedule. “Because if he stayed on there full time, What are they going to do, just squash everybody on the roster? You guys don’t have anybody to really challenge him. So, you need somebody legitimate and credible to go against Brock to make it make sense.”

Impact Execs Talk About The Departures Of EC3, Lashley & Borash

Impact Wrestling executives Ed Nordholm, Don Callis and Scott D’Amore recently spoke with Newsweek to address the recent wave of departures from the company.

Don Callis put a positive spin on the recent shakeup, noting that Impact has recently brought in talented competitors such as Brian Cage, Austin Aries and John Hennigan.

Here are some highlights of what was said about EC3, Bobby Lashley and Jeremy Borash:

EC3

Last weekend, we saw EC3 ringside at NXT Takeover: Philadelphia. He did an interview backstage at the show talking about returning to WWE after 5 long years. Scott D’Amore commented on what led to EC3 leaving Impact.

“His contract was not up,” D’Amore revealed. “He came to us, we had a frank discussion about where he saw himself going.  We decided to sit down and work something out that worked for us on how we’d wrap up this portion of his career.  I didn’t watch NXT TakeOver but when he showed up on screen and my phone started blowing up, I texted him:

‘Congratulations. All the best to you. You’ve got nothing but love and support from us here. And if you need anything, you know where we are.’

And he wrote back the same thing.”

Bobby Lashley

Ed Nordholm admitted that it’s not a good thing when you lose a talent like Bobby Lashley, but wishes him the best in his next career move, whether it’s pro wrestling or MMA.

“Bobby is free to figure out what he wants to do next, whether it be wrestling or mixed martial arts,” Nordholm said. “We wish him all the best.  He’s a great talent, it’s foolish to say, ‘No, we wouldn’t want to retain him,’ but he has his own ambitions about what he thinks is good for him next in his career.”

Jeremy Borash

Perhaps the most surprising departure from Impact in recent months is Jeremy Borash, who had been with the company since its inception in 2002. Ed Nordholm and Scott D’Amore both wished him well, but said they have a lot of other talented people on staff ready to fill his roles behind the scenes.

Nordholm: “He is leaving and joining the WWE.  We wish him all the best. He’s a talented guy and has been with the company forever. But we have a lot of talented guys—change is good and it gives other guys a chance to step up.”

D’Amore: “We always wish Jeremy well. I got one of my first breaks [from him]—Jeremy hired me to be a producer at World Wrestling All-Stars. But we have editors on our team who don’t get the notoriety that Jeremy does. We have great players ready to step up.”

Update On Bobby Lashley’s Next Move

We’ve got an update on the status of former ECW/ TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley. On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Lashley is no longer negotiating with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

After talking with people within both NJPW and Impact Wrestling, the belief is that Lashley is heading back to WWE.

Also, it should be noted that there has been talk of Lashley possibly working with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar after WrestleMania 34. Although

Lesnar’s contract expires in April, it’s expected that the sports entertainment company will extend the deal going through August, which would allow WWE the opportunity to promote a Lesnar vs. Lashley match.

Update On EC3 & Lashley To WWE, 3 Matches For SmackDown

– Bobby Lashley and EC3 are done with IMPACT Wrestling after this past weekend’s TV tapings in Orlando. EC3 previously worked in WWE under the name Derrick Bateman and has a good shot at returning to the company.

PWInsider reports that there is “absolutely WWE interest” in EC3 returning. As for Lashley, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reports that the door is still open for him to return to WWE after initially leaving WWE for undisclosed reasons.

– There have been three matches confirmed for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live. A US Title Tournament match-up between Bobby Roode & Mojo Rawley, as well as Xavier Woods vs. Jinder Mahal will go down.

The winners of those respective matches will face off for the vacant title at the Royal Rumble on January 28th. A Six-Woman Tag Team match between the teams of Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Charlotte Flair vs. The Riott Squad has also been confirmed.

Bobby Lashley & EC3 Could Be WWE Bound In 2018

Recently, Impact Wrestling has been looking to shed themselves of high-paying contracts which were signed by the Dixie Carter regime. Neither Bobby Lashley nor Ethan Carter III are expected to re-sign with the company when their contracts are up.

According to a recent report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, at least one if not both of them are on their way to WWE.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZM8SGVA3u-c

Impact Wrestling in 2018

The report does not mention which wrestler is more likely to end up in the promotion, however.

While Impact has been hesitant to re-sign anyone with a high-paying contract, they have signed other performers. Johnny Impact and Taya are both believed to have signed new deals with the promotion which will also allow them to film Lucha Underground. Brian Cage is another name which has been talked about as someone the company is looking at.

Bobby Lashley Says He Is Like Paul Heyman’s Side Chick

Main Event Radio interviewed former Impact World Champion Bobby Lashley last week where Lashley talked about a number of wrestling related topics. Below are some of the highlights of his interview:

Being in Canada:

“I like Canada. The fans here are great. It’s always good to come up here with some good energy. Coming out to different territories after being the same area for such a long time. It’s good to get a different group of fans. I’ve heard Toronto might be next, I would be happy to go there. We are going to be going back and forth. Orlando is our home we will back there too.”

Match with Brock Lesnar:

“There’s not too much time left on my contract but I like it here. There are some big fights and big matches that people are constantly bugging me about that I have to consider. The only natural one is Brock [Lesnar]. Whether it’s in fighting or wrestling, that match needs to happen. If he retires without doing that match, it’s stupid. If I retire before doing that match, it’s stupid. I could post a picture of my kids or of me eating a Popsicle and people will ask me when I’m going back to WWE when I’ll go against Brock. It’s one of those things that if the fans want it and beg for it enough, it’ll happen.”

Seeing himself as Paul Heyman’s side chick:

“I’m going to send Paul [Heyman] another tweet. Paul will reach out to me out of nowhere with a tweet or text. Those are the times where Brock kind of pisses him off a little bit. Then he calls me and sees how I’m doing. Then him and Brock make up and he disappears. I think Paul says if Brock pisses him off enough and he needs to bring someone in to shut him up I’m the man. But then they make up and he leaves me alone. Then I get another tweet out of nowhere and then he disappears again. It’s kind of like the boyfriend and girlfriend, where the boyfriend says he’s going to cheat on her and then she cooks him dinner and he changes his mind. Heyman is a big tease to me. I am the side chick. I’m okay with it. The side chick usually gets whatever she wants at the end of the day. Maybe it’ll happen one day – Lesnar vs Lashley.”

Bobby Lashley Says A Match With Brock Lesnar ‘Needs To Be Done’

Bobby Lashley has expressed his urge to fight Brock Lensar multiple times in the past and he continued chasing a match against the Beast during his recent interview with Hannibal TV. Below are some of the highlights from Lasley’s latest interview:

Match against Brock Lesnar:

“It’s not on me, it’s on him. I’m not the type to call people out. I have mad respect for Brock and I have mad respect for everybody in the fight business and in the wrestling business. But I think it’s just one of those things that needs to be done.”

On people nowadays wanting to see different contests:

“There’s big matchups all the way across the board. They looked at Brock fighting Jon Jones, that was one thing that was talked about, everybody was like, ‘Oh, that’s awesome!’ Floyd Mayweather fighting Conor [McGregor], these are different matchups that people want to see. I think right now people are starting to move more into that entertainment aspect of wanting to see those different contests and different matchups. Brock and myself, whether it’s in professional wrestling or whether it’s in a fight, I think it needs to be done.”

How he’ll do against the Beast:

“Until the fight happens, no one knows. I think I would do well. I think our styles are very similar and I think it’s gonna be tit-for-tat in a lot of ways.”

Bobby Lashley Reveals Which Legend Got Him Into The Business

Former WWE Superstar and former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley recently did an interview on The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast to talk about a number of professional wrestling topics.

Lashley discussed Kurt Angle opening the door for his professional wrestling career, rupturing his knee during a bank robbery he witnessed, doing his WWE tryout while his knee was still recovering, and non-athletic wrestlers.

Here are some highlights of what Bobby Lashley said about:

Kurt Angle opening up the door for his professional wrestling career:

“Kurt had told me that he knows I loves the Olympics, but that I needed to think about something else, considering there is no pro sports,” Lashley said. “So, Kurt gave my number to Gerald Brisco for a tryout. My goal was always to win the Olympics so at the time, I had told Brisco to hold off on the tryout because winning the Olympics was my dream.”

Rupturing his knee after hitting the ground during a bank robbery he witnessed – ending his Olympic dreams, then getting a call from WWE:

“I’m sitting there thinking that this is terrible, with me and my leg brace being on,” he said. “Suddenly the phone rings and it’s Mark Carrano from WWE, and I was thinking, there’s no way. We hadn’t had any communication in like 5-6 months. He said to me that he understood that I was interested in the Olympics, but this is a big opportunity, and there’s a lot of buzz that has been passed down the office about you, so we really want you to come to Louisville and sit down with you to see if we can bring you on. I said that I was in, so he asked if I could come next week, I told him that I couldn’t, and I kept trying to push the date back because of my knee situation. There was no way I was going to tell them that my knee was ruptured.”

Doing his WWE tryout while his knee was still recovering:

“First time I even took a step was running the ropes, and it was one of the most ridiculously painful thing that I ever had to go through,” he explained. “Dr. Tom [Prichard] said that he liked the intensity as I was running the ropes, I was like, man, I wanted to cry because of the pain. The cool thing was I was there with Dolph Ziggler, we became friends, and every night we had the tryouts we would go back to the hotel and would have a couple of drinks.

“I’m icing my knee like crazy; it was four days of tryouts with my knee situation. I was learning all kinds of things, like running the ropes, taking bumps. When I left there I had left on a Friday morning after 4 days of training with those guys. I felt like I was in a car accident. I had bruised my heel, bruise in my back, my knee hurt, I walked home in so much pain. I thought that all they wanted to do was talk. I had done a lot of pushups, but I looked good, but actually had to do something, which was tough.”

Non-athletic wrestlers:

“Fit Finlay is believable, but he’s not the tallest guy, and I believe some people go in there to just want to do the art of wrestling vs the actual fight of wrestling, and I believe you have to do both,” he said. “If you are doing that certain style of wrestling, then there are certain positions that you just can’t get. I don’t want to see somebody beat Brock [Lesnar] just because there are certain moves that they can do. You can’t bury Brock just because they want to make a cool match. I don’t like that as much.”
