Big Match Planned For Braun Strowman After SummerSlam?

The way WWE has pushed Braun Strowman in past several months, a one on one match between him and The Beast Brock Lesnar has become a dream clash for many WWE fans.

While this match was allegedly planned for Great Balls Of Fire, it couldn’t take place due to the Monster Among Men suffering an elbow injury during his match against Roman Reigns at Payback PPV earlier this year.

Though, it appears that WWE has not given up on a one on one encounter between these two monstrous athletes just yet and we may get to see a match between these two sooner rather than later.

During the latest instalment of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer talked about this bout and said that he expects Strowman to face Lesnar in a singles match by the end of this year or at the Royal Rumble PPV next year.

Regarding the upcoming Fatal Four Way match for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Meltzer speculated that Lesnar could end up retaining his title opposed to the earlier speculations of him dropping the title.

If it does happen, Lesnar is likely to pin Samoa Joe for the win as a mean to protect both Strowman and Reigns. It has been reported previously that Brock is under WWE contract till WrestleMania 34.

WWE Fans Take to Twitter & Point Out Error During Last Night’s RAW Main Event

In the main event of last night’s (Mon. August 7, 2017) episode of Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman continued their rivalry by squaring off in a Last Man Standing match. Towards the end of the bout it seemed as though “The Big Dog” may have picked up the win after delivering a thunderous spear to Strowman after charging down the ramp. The referee got to the count of around eight before former WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe hit the arena and locked on the Coquina Clutch to put Reigns down.

WWE fans quickly took to Twitter to point out an error in the match’s booking, as the Joe’s interference should have never stopped the referee’s count on a downed Strowman. Instead, the ref stopped counting Strowman down and waited until Reigns was put out to re-start the count, allowing Strowman to get to his feet before Reigns was counted to 10 for the loss:

Joe, Reigns, and Strowman will be a part of a Fatal Four-Way match at SummerSlam as they challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Champion later this month (Sun. August 20, 2017).

JBL On Why WWE Shouldn’t Reunite The Shield, Karen Jarrett On Bar Incident With Braun Strowman

JBL on why WWE shouldn’t do a Shield reunion

On Monday’s episode of Bring it to the Table, JBL, Corey Graves and Peter Rosenberg discussed the possibility of a Shield reunion with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Rosenberg asked whether a Shield reunion would benefit Reigns, Ambrose or Rollins and JBL didn’t think it would. Here is JBL’s response:

“No, absolutely not. Roman Reigns is a guy that I think we want him to carry the company. We want him to sell tickets. Roman Reigns with the Shield did not sell tickets. Roman Reigns as the guy that everybody comes to boo, sells tickets and sells merchandise.”

Corey Graves chimed in with the following:

“I love the potential for Rollins and Ambrose. I’m very curious that if you did do a full-blown three member Shield reunion, would the WWE Universe react differently to Roman Reigns? That is what made him a star to begin with.”

JBL responded to Grave’s comments by simply stated that Reigns didn’t sell tickets while being a member of the Shield.

Karen Jarrett discusses bar incident with Braun Strowman

Karen Jarrett had a conference call with the media today and discussed the incident with Braun Strowman that took place at a Nashville bar a few weeks ago. Here is what Jarrett said about the incident:

“Oh my goodness, I can clear the air. It was a silly incident where you have two people in the wrestling business playing their characters, being silly and it got blown way out of proportion. And the fact that the two of us are still in the news and it’s still being talked about, that’s a question that you took the time to ask I think is hysterical, to be honest with you. It’s silliness. It’s the wrestling business, we had fun with it and somebody took it and turned it into something more than it was.”

Braun Strowman Reportedly Apologizes to GFW Executive After Altercation at Bar

Braun Strowman may have just gotten himself into some hot water. After last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Nashville, several WWE and Global Force Wrestling (GFW) stars met up after the show to hang out. According to a report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Karen Jarrett was there as well and approached “The Monster Among Men” to get an autograph for her son, who she said was one of his favorite wrestlers.

Strowman didn’t know who Jarrett was and was reportedly rude to her and might have sworn at her. This then turned into a scene as Karen then “cut a major loud promo” on Strowman in front of the entire bar.

During that promo, she mentioned that she was going to tell her son’s father how rude he was to her, who just so happens to be Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Strowman immediately changed his tune and said that he would sign the autograph, and begged Jarrett not to say anything to Kurt or anyone else.

He then apologized but Karen said she was still going to tell Kurt. This made Strowman say he’d get on his knees and beg. He then got on his knees in front of a bunch of WWE and GFW talents and begged. Karen then said something along the lines of  “you’re acting like that because you found out that Kurt Angle” is her son’s father. She then said that even if she wasn’t the mother of Angle’s son, he still shouldn’t treat the mother of a fan that way. Strowman then agreed and apologized once again.

Big Triple Threat Match & Jason Jordan On Miz TV Announced For Next Week’s WWE RAW

Triple Threat match announced for next week’s RAW

This week’s episode of RAW kicked off with a bang as the main-event of SummerSlam was announced. Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman in a Fatal 4-Way match. During last night’s episode of RAW, a massive brawl broke out between Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman after Angle announced the Fatal 4-Way at WWE SummerSlam. It was later announced that next week on RAW, the three Superstars will battle in a Triple Threat match.

Jason Jordan will be on Miz TV next week on RAW

It was announced that Jason Jordan will be on Miz TV next week on RAW. Jordan was interviewed backstage last night on RAW by Renee Young. It was a short interview and Jordan stated that Angle was his hero and it was a dream come true to final out that he was his biological father. It will be interesting to see if any more secrets get revealed when Jason Jordan joins Miz TV next week.

WWE SummerSlam: 3 Confirmed Title Matches

Fatal 4-Way for Universal Championship announced for SummerSlam

RAW kicked off Kurt Angle coming down to the ring. Angle stated that his son, Jason Jordan, will have first match tonight on the RAW roster. Angle was about to reveal who Brock Lesnar would be facing at SummerSlam when Braun Strowman interrupted. Strowman told Angle that he better be the one that faces Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Samoa Joe interrupted and made his way down to the ring. The crowd chanted “Joe!” as he walked down the entrance ramp. Joe got right in front in Strowman’s face and said that he was the man that does not fear Lesnar. Joe then claimed that he definitely doesn’t fear Braun Strowman. Roman Reigns then came down to the ring.

Reigns started talking the crowd started to boo. Reigns claimed that neither Joe or Strowman have done anything in WWE. Reigns listed off his accomplished and brought up how he won the Royal Rumble in Philadelphia. Roman said that the crowd was certainly loud that night, making light of the fact that the crowd was basically silent last night at WWE Battleground at the Wells Fargo Center. Kurt Angle announced that it will be a Fatal 4-Way at SummerSlam. Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman.

RAW GM Kurt Angle then went to leave the ring and Samoa Joe started yelling at him. Joe stated that he is the only Superstar that deserves to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Braun stated that he doesn’t care about anything else besides stacking bodies. An epic brawl then broke out. Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns teamed up for a moment to beatdown Strowman. Joe had the Coquina Clutch locked in on Strowman and Reigns connected with a Spear onto both Joe and Strowman. Several WWE Superstars then came down to the ring to try to break up the brawl. Strowman beat them all down and then started whipping security guards out of the ring. Strowman then planted Reigns with the Running Powerslam.

On tonight’s episode of RAW, Bayley faced Sasha Banks to determine who will get a shot at the RAW Women’s Championship at Summerslam. It was a back and forth match, but in the end Bayley was able to roll-up Sasha for the victory after Banks connected with a Frog Splash. After the match concluded, RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss entered the ring and raised the title in Bayley’s face.

Jim Ross On Kurt Angle & Jason Jordan Storyline, The Mae Young Classic, Braun Strowman

Jim Ross posted his latest blog earlier today and here are some highlights:

Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan storyline:

“Might just be me but after watching the Renee Young interview, nicely done BTW, with Kurt Angle and his ‘son’ Jason Jordan on the @WWENetwork after RAW, I can easily see where Jordan and  ‘Dad” could be terrific villains down the road.”

Mae Young Classic:

“Loved being a part of the Mae Young Classic that saw me in  Orlando for six days last week interviewing all 32 women representing 13 countries plus Lita and I called 30 bouts over two nights.  I’ve never been in a pro wresting environment where there was so much natural passion and motivation from the roster whose only agenda was to have great matches and take a giant step forward in building women’s wrestling.

I talk about ‘The Mae’ on this week’s podcast and will share that I never dreamed of how personally impactful this event would become to me until I became immersed in it throughout the interview process on Monday and Tuesday.  I enjoyed working with @AmyDumas and @Madusa_rocks very much. I fed off their passion without question and you will hear it if you listen to our broadcast.

As I understand it, the reason the broadcasts will begin airing August 28 instead of sooner is because the shows need through, post production/editing to add all the elements that are needed with the tournament format and personality profiles, etc. The finals will be live on the WWE Network on Tuesday night September 12 from Las Vegas following SD Live.

I’m guessing that several women will likely earn a WWE contract based on their performances in the tournament.”

Braun Strowman:

“Based on what I saw Monday night on Raw regarding Braun Strowman, I can easily see WWE going all the way with the giant athlete from North Carolina. A Lesnar-Strowman high level contest down the road is going to make a compelling main event and could elevate Strowman to the rarified air community.

Seems to me, simply by watching as  fan, that when Braun walked away from the ambulance crash of a few weeks ago, that he walked away as a ‘character ‘face’ or a least that’s  how I took it. Bottom line, it will be challenging for many fans to truly dislike this huge man. WWE has done a really nice job building Strowman to his current level.”

Braun Strowman Returns, Will Face Roman Reigns In Ambulance Match at GBOF

Braun Strowman made a surprise return on RAW and once again destroyed Roman Reigns. As seen below, Strowman delivered a vicious beat down to Reigns and announced they will fight at Great Balls of Fire in an Ambulance match.

https://twitter.com/braunstrowman/status/876987704088682496

Strowman has been out of action since early May when he underwent elbow surgery. WWE said he was looking at 6 months recovery time, but the actual time frame was more like 4-6 weeks.

Mick Foley on What Braun Strowman is Like Backstage

WWE Great Balls of Fire takes place on Sunday, July 9th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The main event will see Brock Lesnar defend the Universal Championship against Samoa Joe.

Backstage Update On Braun Strowman’s Return To WWE TV

Braun Strowman has recovered from elbow surgery and has been cleared to return to the ring. According to The Wrestling Observer, Braun Strowman’s return date has yet to be confirmed, but it looks like he will be performing at the upcoming WWE PPV Great Balls of Fire. The most likely opponent would be Roman Reigns, as the two Superstars have unfinished business.

Strowman was originally supposed to wrestle Roman Reigns at Great Balls of Fire before his injury, so that would be the most likely plan when he returns to WWE television. As of now, Braun Strowman is still scheduled to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main-event of SummerSlam.

Update On Braun Strowman’s Return To WWE TV

The ‘Monster Among Men’ Braun Strowman has been medically cleared to return and is expected back on WWE television over the next few weeks. The word going around backstage last night at RAW is that Strowman was cleared last week.

Strowman underwent elbow surgery last month. WWE while initial estimates pegged his recovery time at 4-6 weeks, WWE.com noted that Strowman would miss up to 6 months. WWE regularly exaggerates talent’s recovery timeframes, which enhances the performers’ perceived toughness when they return ‘ahead of schedule.’

It will be interesting to see how WWE positions Strowman when he returns. Prior to his injury, he was feuding with Roman Reigns and was rumored to be working with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

As noted earlier, next week’s RAW will feature an announcement from Roman Reigns regarding his plans for SummerSlam.

Update on Braun Strowman’s WWE Return

According to a report from PWInsider, WWE officials are expecting Braun Strowman to return much sooner than the storyline given six-month timeframe. As we previously mentioned, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that “The Monster Among Men” is expected to return around mid-July to begin building up his match with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

Strowman was injured by Roman Reigns during their meeting at WWE Payback, where the big guy suffered an elbow injury that required surgery to fix. Strowman posted the following picture on Instagram showing off his badly bruised elbow, and vowed to return the pain two-fold when he sees Roman Reigns again:

Mick Foley on What Braun Strowman is Like Backstage

WWE Hall Of Famer and now-former General Manager of Monday Night RAW Mick Foley took to his official Facebook page to comment on Braun Strowman’s recent injury that is expected to keep him out for a few months. Foley noted that whenever the cameras weren’t rolling “The Monster Among Men” was always eager to learn:

“SAD NEWS FOR STROWMAN
I was very sorry to hear that an elbow injury could sideline Braun Strowman for as long as six months. He may have threatened me on a weekly basis when I was GM, but when the cameras were off, he was always eager to learn as much as he possibly could. I wish him a full and speedy recovery, and I hope I get to see that Strowman/Lesnar match at a later date. What do you think the future holds in store for Strowman?”

Braun Strowman Update: How Long He’ll Be Out, Storyline Plan For When He Returns

Braun Strowman underwent elbow surgery last Thursday in Birmingham, Alabama. WWE.com noted that Strowman’s elbow was “shattered” by Roman Reigns last week on RAW and he’s expected to miss up to six months of action.

According to multiple sources, WWE’s timeframe for Strowman’s recovery is in fact exaggerated so he appears to be superhuman when he returns much sooner than expected. Strowman is still expected back in action within 2 months, as per initial reports.

The main event of WWE’s upcoming Extreme Rules will be a Fatal 5-Way match to determine the new #1 contender to RAW Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt will battle at Extreme Rules to see who faces Brock Lesnar at July’s Great Balls of Fire PPV.

The original plan was for Strowman to face Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire, but we’re told that Strowman is now slated to work with Lesnar at SummerSlam in August.

Braun Strowman To Miss “Up To 6 Months” Following Elbow Surgery

Last week, Braun Strowman posted a message on Instagram confirming that he was undergoing surgery and vowed to return stronger and meaner than ever.

On Monday, WWE.com confirmed that Strowman underwent successful elbow surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. According to that report,

“During the procedure it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman’s elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result.”

The article states that Strowman’s injury took place last Monday night when Roman Reigns attacked him, but Strowman had been dealing with the injury for several weeks. Initial estimates had Strowman missing 1-2 months, so his actual recovery time is probably somewhere in between.

Either way, it’s a big setback for the monster, who was in the midst of the biggest push of his career and rumored to be main eventing July’s Great Balls of Fire PPV against RAW Universal champion Brock Lesnar.

Braun Strowman Confirms Surgery, Vows To Return More Dangerous Than Ever

On Wednesday, RAW Superstar Braun Strowman confirmed that he will be undergoing surgery soon. He did not address the nature of the procedure, but it’s been reported that he’s been dealing with an elbow injury.

The Monster Amongst Men says the surgery is just a minor speed bump in his quest to become the most destructive force in WWE history. He vows to return bigger, stronger, faster and more dangerous than ever.

As noted earlier, Strowman has been pulled from upcoming WWE live events, including WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden on July 7th.

Here’s what he posted on Instagram earlier today:

Linda McMahon Comments On Vince Movie, Strowman Pulled From Live Events

– As noted earlier this week, Braun Strowman needs elbow surgery and will be out of action for up to two months. WWE is pulling Strowman from ads hyping upcoming live events, including the July 7th show from Madison Square Garden. Strowman had been scheduled to face Roman Reigns on that show but will be replaced by Bray Wyatt.

– Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon was recently interviewed by GV Wire  about her time working for WWE and her role as Administrator of the Small Business Administration for President Trump’s administration. When asked about the movie about Vince McMahon’s life that’s currently in development, Linda questioned if the movie will actually get made.

“I’ve heard rumors of the movie. I’m not sure that movie will ever see the light of day.”

Photos: Roman Reigns & Braun Strowman Sightseeing Together In Rome

As noted earlier, the WWE crew is currently overseas for the annual post-WrestleMania European live events tour. (Full Schedule) The tour kicks off tonight with the RAW brand hosting a show from Rome, Italy.

Naturally, the WWE Superstars are checking out the sights in Europe. Titus O’Neil posted the following photo on social media, including Matt Hardy, Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman posing together for a photo inside Rome’s historic Coliseum.

While it’s safe to assume Reigns and Strowman probably do not hate each other when WWE cameras aren’t rolling, it seems they’re making little to no effort to ‘keep the magic alive’ for WWE fans who might have spotted them together.

After several fans pointed out that Titus was flagrantly breaking kayfabe by showing Reigns and Strowman enjoying a nice afternoon together, the post was deleted.

Roman Reigns & Braun Strowman Injury Updates, Backlash Poster, Miz Trash Talks Balor

– WWE has provided a storyline update on “injuries” of Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. After both men missed last night’s RAW, WWE.com writes:

“At WWE Payback, Strowman re-aggravated injuries to Reigns’ ribs, and The Big Dog suffered additional internal injuries on top of the ones he sustained when The Monster Among Men toppled an ambulance with Reigns inside it during the April 10 edition of Raw. Strowman, meanwhile, has a torn rotator cuff.”

A torn rotator cuff would keep Strowman out for months, so it will be a superhuman feat when Strowman is back in action at Extreme Rules on June 4th.

– In the main event of last night’s RAW, The Miz defeated Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in a triple threat match to become the #1 contender for Dean Ambrose’s Intercontinental championship. After the victory, The Miz tweeted the following mocking Balor:

– The official promotional artwork for WWE Backlash has been released and it features SmackDown Live newcomer Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura is set to make his main roster pay-per-view debut at the show, which  takes place on Sunday, May 21st from Rosemont, Illinois at the Allstate Arena.

Roman Reigns Comments On The Death Of His Brother

WWE.com has published an interview with Roman Reigns, who gave his first public comments regarding the death of his brother, Matt Anoi’a (Rosey).

Reigns says the situation has brought him a lot of mixed feelings. With his big family, even cousins are like brothers, but Matt was his only blood brother.

“It was an extremely sad weekend, and it’s still really tough. Everybody’s grieving. But to see our family come together and have a hundred-plus family and friends come together to celebrate my brother’s life really meant a lot. It just continually picks up our family and keeps us moving on.”

Reigns was asked about his physical condition following Braun Strowman’s attack two weeks ago on RAW. Reigns actually invoked the death of his brother to sell Strowman’s attack.

“Physically, I’m as beat up as I am emotionally. This has been two of the roughest weeks of my professional career and life. I’ve never experienced a loss this close since it’s my only blood brother, but I’ve also never experienced a beatdown like Braun Strowman gave me.”

Roman Reigns gets his shot at revenge against Braun Strowman this Sunday at WWE Payback.

Braun Strowman To Face Kalisto In A Dumpster Match On RAW

WWE Superstar Braun Strowman has been on a rampage recently. He attacked Roman Reigns during a backstage interview with Michael Cole. Strowman wound up flipping over an ambulance that Roman Reigns was trapped inside. The attack was so brutal, Roman Reigns hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since the April 10th episode of RAW. Strowman and Reigns will face off at WWE Payback on April 30th.

Strowman attacked several other WWE Superstars during this past week’s episode of RAW. Strowman beatdown, Goldust, R-Truth and Kalisto. Braun referred to Kalisto as garbage and tossed him into a trash bin.

Kalisto hasn’t forgotten about the attack by Strowman and being thrown into the trash. Kalisto will look to get revenge this Monday night when he faces Braun Strowman in a Dumpster Match. Kalisto challenged Strowman to the match on Twitter and RAW GM Kurt Angle made it official.

Slow-Motion Video Of RAW Ring Collapse, Who Will Beat Lesnar Poll, Charlotte

– WWE.com is running a poll asking fans which RAW Superstar will be the one to hand Universal Champion Brock Lesnar his next defeat. As of this writing, Braun Strowman is in the lead with 28% of the vote, followed by Roman Reigns (25%), Finn Balor (16%) and Goldberg (9%).

– Charlotte Flair tweeted the following prior to Monday’s RAW. The former RAW Women’s Champion was traded to SmackDown last week as part of the Superstar Shake-Up.

– As a result of the ring implosion angle from the end of RAW, there was no post-show dark match main event. WWE posted this slow-motion video of the ring collapsing after Braun Strowman’s giant-sized superplex to the Big Show.

Braun Strowman had this to say on Twitter after RAW. Strowman faces Roman Reigns at WWE Payback on Sunday, April 30th (Updated Card).

WWE RAW Fallout: Crowd Chants “Thank You Big Show”, Referee John Cone On His Fall Out Of The Ring

WWE Universe Chants “Thank You Big Show” After His Match With Braun Strowman

Last night on WWE RAW, Braun Strowman faced off against Big Show in the main event. Big Show connected with a Chokeslam and a KO Punch but Strowman was able to kick out of both of them. Strowman lifted Big Show up on his shoulders and planted him with a Running Powerslam but Big Show kicked out at two. The match ended with a bang as both gigantic Superstars climbed up the turnbuckle. Strowman hoisted Big Show up and hit a massive Superplex and the ring collapsed. WWE RAW went off the air with Strowman standing tall in what was left of the ring.

WWE has uploaded a couple of videos of what went down after RAW concluded. Big Show was shown exiting the collapsed ring as the crowd chanted “thank you Big Show!”. Big Show has made it known that Wrestlemania 33 was his final Wrestlemania. It is not known when he will call it a career, but last night’s crowd showed him a lot of respect. Big Show acknowledged the crowd just before he stepped backstage.

John Cone Tumbles Out Of The Collapsed Ring

Big Show and Braun Strowman were not the only ones caught in the carnage of the ring collapsing. WWE referee John Cone took one hell of a fall when the ring imploded. Cone was leaning up against the ropes when Strowman and Big Show fell to the canvas. The ring posts caved in and the ring imploded. Thus, there was nothing for Cone to lean on anymore and he tumbled to the floor.

https://twitter.com/ReneeYoungWWE/status/854170464545058820

WWE has uploaded a backstage interview with referee John Cone. Cone was holding his neck throughout the interview and described how he tumbled out of the ring. A trainer then applied ice to his neck as Cone grimaced in pain.

Roman Reigns ‘Injury Update’ Following Braun Strowman’s Attack

WWE.com has provided an update on Roman Reigns’ condition following the brutal attack he sustained at the hands of Braun Strowman earlier this week.

According to the report, Reigns suffered internal injuries, cracked ribs and a separated shoulder. WWE did not specify how long Reigns will be out of action, but he’s expected to face Strowman at WWE Payback later this month (4/30).

Strowman attacked Reigns on RAW while he was being interviewed backstage by Michael Cole. The assault continued for several minutes, with Braun coming back to deliver more punishment each time that it seemed he was done.

In case you missed it, or just want to relive the carnage, here’s the footage, which has over 5 million views on Youtube in less than 3 days.

Strowman Responds To Petition To Have Him Fired, ROH Sale Talks Considered ‘Dead’

– WWE’s negotiations to purchase ring of honor are effectively dead, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. There are still ongoing talks for WWE to license content from ROH’s video library, but WWE will not be outright buying the promotion. During a recent interview with the Baltimore Sun, Sinclair Broadcast Group / Ring of Honor COO Joe Koff addressed the rumors of WWE looking to buy ROH.

“It was not a story. It was not a story when it came out. I think people want to make a story out of nothing.”

– Seth Rolins posted this heartfelt message and photo on Instagram welcoming Kurt Angle back to WWE. Angle now serves as the General Manager of Monday Night RAW.

Rumor & Possible Spoiler On Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman At Payback

There’s a good chance that the Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman match at Payback on April 30th will be a gimmick match. On Wrestling Observer Live this week Dave Meltzer reported that he expects the match to be named an Ambulance Match or a Stretcher Match.

If the Reigns vs. Strowman match does happen, there’s a strong possibility we could see some outside interference from Brock Lesnar. WWE is reportedly setting up a Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman match for this summer, and the interference could be a way to start building up that match on TV.

WWE Payback 2017 airs live on the WWE Network on April 30th from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
